Seeds of Destiny 28 November 2018 Devotional – Created For A Purpose

Topic: Created For A Purpose [Seeds of Destiny 28 November 2018 Devotional]

Scripture: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Thought For The Day: Your prosperity is tied to your functioning according to purpose.

From our anchor Scripture, it is confirmed that everyone born into this world was born for a purpose.

God has a definite intention for every creation. For instance, the pig is a specialist in eating rotten food. It has been discovered that the pig was created for that purpose; it was created as a scavenger animal to clean up the surface of the earth of decaying substances. For this purpose, there is a unique enzyme in the body of pigs, cadaverine coined from cadaver (dead body). This enzyme assists pigs in destroying dead tissues thus facilitating the cleaning of the earth surface.

If a pig has an assignment on earth, no one should doubt the fact that he/she has a purpose ordained by God on the earth.

Now, Romans 8:28 says, all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. That is, if you function according to God’s purpose for your life, things must work. So, it is important to note that your prosperity is tied to your functioning according to purpose. Anyone on Divine assignment must have fulfilment in life. When you function contrary to the reason you were created, things will be difficult.

Beloved, discovering and fulfilling your purpose is crucial for your fulfilment in life.

Remember this: Your prosperity is tied to your functioning according to purpose.

Assignments:
1. Ask God to reveal the purpose of your existence to you.
2. Determine to walk on the path of purpose; refuse to be distracted.
3. Pick up a copy of the book- Reason For Living by Dr Paul Enenche and meditatively read through.

Kenneth Copeland Devotional 28 November 2018 – Imitate the Faithful

Topic: Imitate the Faithful [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 28 November 2018]

Remember your leaders and superiors in authority, [for it was they] who brought to you the Word of God. Observe attentively and consider their manner of living…and imitate their faith.Hebrews 13:7, The Amplified Bible

Apart from the Word of God itself and prayer, nothing can do more for you than watching and imitating a real man of faith. I found that out in a big way many years ago when I was a student at Oral Roberts University. As co-pilot on the airplane that transported him and his staff to his healing meetings, I had the opportunity to study Oral Roberts up close. I followed him around. I heard him preach. I watched him lay hands on the sick.

I’ll never forget the day I had the opportunity to put some of what I’d learned from him into action. I’d just been to a few of his meetings. Spiritually, I was still as green as a gourd. But I’d been assigned to help the people in the “invalid room” get ready for Brother Roberts to lay hands on them. I was standing there for the first time surrounded by every kind of sickness and disease you can imagine. And when Brother Roberts came in, instead of laying hands on the people himself, he caught me by the coat sleeve and said, “You’re going to do the praying. You’re going to lay hands on them.”

I know all the blood must have drained out of my face because I’d never prayed for anything like that in my life. I might have considered praying for a headache or maybe a serious hangnail, but that’s it!

The first lady we came to had cancer of the stomach. She weighed less than 80 pounds. She was just the picture of death. I walked over toward her and before I could open my mouth, I heard a voice from behind me say, “In the Name of Jesus, take up your bed and walk.” She instantly spit that cancer out on the floor. Then she jumped off that bed and screamed, “I’m healed,” and started running around the room.

Let me tell you, that moment changed me. When I stepped up to the next person and raised my hands, I could see the healing coming. I’d seen Jesus heal through Brother Roberts, so in my mind’s eye, I could see Him healing through me.

You can do the same thing. Find someone who’s operating in more faith and power than you are and learn from him. Watch Jesus in him and then copy him. Sooner or later, others will start seeing Jesus in you.

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 2:1-15

Billy Graham Devotional 28 November 2018 – The Sufficiency of God

Topic: The Sufficiency of God [Billy Graham Devotional 28 November 2018]

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. — John 10:10

In God’s economy, you must go down into the valley of grief before you can scale the heights of spiritual glory. You must become tired and weary of living alone before you seek and find the fellowship of Christ. You must come to the end of “self” before you can begin to live. The happiest day of my life was when I realized that my own ability, my own goodness, and my own morality were insufficient in the sight of God. I am not exaggerating when I say that my mourning was turned to joy, and my sighing into singing. Happy are they that mourn for the inadequacy of self, for they shall be comforted with the sufficiency of God.

Prayer for the day: Almighty God, You have given me real life through Jesus Christ. My soul praises You.

Australian Authorities Investigate Hillsong Founder for Allegedly Not Reporting His Father’s Crimes

Australian Authorities Investigate Hillsong Founder for Allegedly Not Reporting His Father’s Crimes

Authorities in Australia launched an investigation into Hillsong Church Founder Brian Houston, claiming that he did not report his father’s sex crimes to the proper authorities. This comes after Brian Sengstock, whom Houston’s father Frank molested over a five-year period in the 1980s told the story of his ordeal on the Channel 9 program “60 Minutes.”

Brett Sengstock spared no detail in cataloging the abuse he began suffering at Frank Houston’s hands when he was seven-years-old. Frank Houston came clean about his actions before his 2004 death, but authorities never heard about his crimes.

Hillsong released a strongly-worded statement on their website, vehemently denying many of the charges made against them in the “60 Minutes” piece. They said Brian Houston and the church “have made it clear on multiple occasions that they are incredibly grieved for the victims and the hurt and the pain that the criminal actions of Frank Houston have caused them. The victim you interviewed on your episode is no exception. We wish to emphasize that all of these criminal actions occurred before Hillsong Church existed.”

The church’s six statements against the broadcast focused mainly on the allegations that the church did not address the issue until the Royal Commission learned about Frank Houston’s crimes and that the church hid…

Refugee in France Acquitted of Rape Charges Due to “Cultural Norms”

Refugee in France Acquitted of Rape Charges Due to “Cultural Norms”

Last week a French court acquitted a Muslim refugee from Bangladesh of rape charges after finding that he had different “cultural norms” and “cultural codes” that led him to “misinterpret” his sexual contact with the girl.

His actions took place in 2015, when he was 18-years-old and the alleged victim was 16-years-old. They walked home together after school and he talked her into going to his house. There, he kissed her, groped her, and fondled her. She reported his actions to her principal the next day who in turn alerted police.

Police arrested the young man who told them that the contact was consensual and police dropped the case until the victim attempted to commit suicide.

A second complaint came in December 2015. The 15-year-old victim said he brought her to his studio and forced himself on her. She said she did not cry out because she was paralyzed with fear. He again argued that the sexual act was consensual.

The court found the man not guilty of the rape but guilty of the sexual assault. The gave him a two-year suspended sentence and he will be forced to register as a sex offender.

27 Year Old Missionary Killed in Tragic Car Accident Leaves Behind a Legacy of Unwavering Faith

27 Year Old Missionary Killed in Tragic Car Accident Leaves Behind a Legacy of Unwavering Faith

A young missionary killed in a tragic car accident Sunday morning left behind a powerful message of faith.

On Sunday, Kelly Anne Broderick, 27, was killed in a car accident when a driver going the wrong way hit into the car she was a passenger in.

According to CBN News, The World Race missionary was on her way to an airport and was near Denver’s Santa Fe Drive and Dartmouth Avenue when the accident occurred.

In 2016 the young missionary completed the 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries called The World Race. While completing the race Broderick kept a blog where she detailed all of the lessons God taught her including lessons on dreams, the unexpected, identity and death.

In a post written in June 2016, Broderick wrote an open letter to her Uncle Jack. While she was abroad, Broderick learned that her uncle had passed away. Not being able to be at the funeral to say goodbye or to be there for her family cause Broderick to experience what she called “extra spicy hot sauce level tears.”

In the face of death, however, Broderick emphasized that the only thing to help her get through the grief was prayer. She wrote, “I’ll pray because our earthly bodies are fragile and can betray us when we least expect it. I’ll pray because I am thankful I have such a loving and devoted family to call mine, and right now they are…

Rape Victim’s Decision to Choose Life Makes Her the Target of Abortion Activists

Jennifer Christie used her traumatic experience to spread a powerful message about choosing life but has recently found herself the victim of numerous attacks by abortion activists.

After being raped while on a business trip in 2014, she soon learned that she was pregnant and gave birth to a son nine months later. Despite the distressing situation she faced, Christie made the decision to appear in a pro-life video and speak for rape victims who become pregnant and make the choice to keep their babies.

The Christian Institute reports that since she appeared in the pro-life video, Christie has become the target of abortion activists who have put numerous shocking tactics in play. These activists have shared horrific videos showing the rape and mutilation of women, while a separate video depicting strobe lighting was sent to Christie in an effort to provoke her photosensitive epilepsy.

Open Heaven 28 November 2018 – When You Need Help

Open Heaven 28 November 2018 Wednesday Daily Devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – When You Need Help

Topic: When You Need Help (Open Heaven 28 November 2018)

Memorise: “And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:”- Deuteronomy 26:7

Read: Deuteronomy 26:6-9 (KJV)

6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

7 And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

Bible in One Year: Ezekiel 33, John 4:31-54

Open Heaven 28 November 2018 Wednesday MESSAGE:

Without question, every man or woman born into this world needs help at one point or the other. Knowing what to do when the need for help arises is a factor that differentiates victors from defeated people. A fellow ends up being defeated and frustrated simply because he or she could not access the help needed to overcome the challenges of life at the appropriate time. I pray that help will come to you speedily this season in Jesus’ Name. Another factor that causes defeat is that some people don’t even know when they need help. This is a serious situation. They move in circles on the same spot, thinking that they are making progress. You need to continually examine whether you need help so that you don’t end up wasting precious time struggling alone. The great work the Lord committed into my hands as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has taught me this vital lesson. When I became the General Overseer, I suddenly realised that I could not do the work by my strength and resources alone. So, the first thing I did was to make the original Owner of the work, the Holy Trinity, my Senior Partner and Ally. The next thing I did was to raise ministry helpers so that the work could be done as quickly as possible. If God is ministering to you to be a ministry helper, don’t hesitate to obey Him.

Another thing you need to do when you suddenly realise that you need help is to know where the help will come from. In today’s Bible reading, while under affliction and oppression, the Israelites correctly identified the LORD God of their fathers as the sure source of their help. After you have identified the unfailing source of help, the next thing you must do to secure your needed help is to connect yourself to that source and abide by the principles of that source. For example, if you have identified God as your surest Source of help, Deuteronomy 28:1-14 should be your guiding principle. You should not allow anything to derail you – not even the world with its technological advancements and ‘modern’ way of doing things, because many civilizations have come and gone, but God and His principles remain unchanged (Hebrews 13:8). In John 15:4, Jesus Christ told His disciples:

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

Moreover, you must look up to God in prayer for the fulfilment of His promises like Daniel did in Daniel 9:1-3. When you do this, you, you can be sure that the testimony in Psalm 34:5 will become a reality in your life. It says:

“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”

Open Heaven 28 November 2018 Wednesday Hymn 11: O God, Our Help In Ages Past

1. O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.

2. Under the shadow of Thy throne,
Still may we dwell secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone,
And our defence is sure

3. Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art God,
To endless years the same

4. A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone,
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.

5. Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away:
They fly forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.

6. O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our guard while life shall last,
And our eternal home.

Four Finnish Tourists Arrested in Malaysia for Distributing Christian Material

Four Finnish Tourists Arrested in Malaysia for Distributing Christian Material

Four tourists in Malaysia have been arrested for distributing Christian materials at a resort island.

Two women and two men, all from Finland, were taken into custody last week after police received complaints about the group.

During the arrests, the police seized 47 pens with Bible verses and 336 notebooks that had Bible texts.

The tourists will be investigated for allegedly “causing disharmony and violating their visa status.”

According to the Associated Press, the group will be deported and they will be barred from returning to Malaysia.

Langkawi police chief Mohamad Iqbal Ibrahim said the attorney general’s office in Malaysia will also send a letter to Finland’s embassy condemning the group’s actions.

The tourists have not been identified, but their ages range from 27 to 60. One of the couples is married.

Trying to convert Muslims to other religions is against the law in Malaysia. Muslims make up about two-thirds of the country’s 31 million people.
