DCLM Daily Manna 14 November 2018 – Holy Ghost: Our Teacher And Guide

Topic — Holy Ghost: Our Teacher And Guide [DCLM Daily Manna 14 November 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: John 14:21-31 (KJV)

Key Verse: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).

MESSAGE:

Along many highways are well placed official signs which give us direction and warn us of danger. Most of these are the reflector type; that is, they are designed to reflect the light of auto headlamps. In the daytime, they are very easy to see and read. And in darkness, they are invisible to anyone who travels without light but when our auto headlights are flashed upon them, they reflect back to us their message of guidance or caution. Their messages are for our welfare both in the night and day. They are our permanent road instructors.

The last series of the messages of Jesus was to prepare His disciples for the time that He would no longer be around to teach them. He made them to know that the heavenly Father loved and had plans for them. Through the ministry of the Holy Ghost, who is the Comforter and Teacher, their basic needs would be met. Their responsibility was to obey instructions given and patiently demonstrate the life of faith.

Obedience is the key to God’s heart. The Lord points out the principle, which any one who would be His follower must keep. Total obedience to His word is the only evidence that we love Him. God moves in the lives of those who completely surrender to Him. He will not reveal Himself to the rebellious, but only to those who obey Him.

To benefit maximally from the ministry of the Holy Spirit, you must give your life to Jesus and pray for the sanctification experience, to be pure within and without. Then, pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to fill and make you a channel of blessing to other people.

Thought For The Day: When we love the Lord, we have great joy obeying Him.

Seeds of Destiny 14 November 2018 Devotional: The Escape Route from Resistance

Topic: The Escape Route from Resistance [Seeds of Destiny 14 November 2018 Devotional]

Scripture: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28

Thought For The Day: If you begin with the Blessing, you must end with dominion.

The Blessing of God is confirmed to be the answer to resistance and opposition, strife and rivalry. The Blessing positions the blessed in the realm of absolute dominion and authority. In a world where humanity is faced with all manner of resistance, opposition and oppression, the Blessing of God is the way out.

From our anchor Scripture, God blessed Adam and Eve saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion….

So, the Blessing positions the blessed in the realm of dominion and authority. If you begin with the Blessing, you must end with dominion, and dominion terminates resistance in life. This implies that a blessed person cannot end as a loser in life.

Abraham was at the background before the Blessing came upon his life and that Blessing took him to the forefront. You cannot be blessed and remain at the background.

A blessed person is in charge wherever he goes. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob were all in charge in their generation by the power of the Blessing. Joseph was in charge even in the prison because the Blessing was on him.

Beloved, desire the Blessing of God if you want to have dominion over the forces of resistance and fulfil your destiny.

Remember this: If you begin with the Blessing, you must end with dominion.

Assignments:
1. Determine to be established in God’s Presence always for the impartation of the Blessing.
2. Refuse to accept defeat; make demands on the force of the Blessing for the termination of anything resisting your progress in life.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE POWER OF THE BLESSING

Prayer: Lord, I receive victory over every battle around my life and destiny by the power of Your Blessing. I refuse to be weighed down, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Kenneth Copeland Devotional 14 November 2018 – When the Pressure Is On

Topic: When the Pressure Is On [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 14 November 2018]

Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. – Malachi 3:16

Have you ever noticed that those who have the most exciting, faith-inspiring testimonies are those who’ve been under pressure at some time in their lives? They’re the people who stayed faithful when the pressure was on. They’re the people who believed God’s promises of prosperity in the midst of desperate financial situations or trusted God for healing in the face of a terminal disease.

My friend, when you get into a hard spot, that’s not the time to back out on God and begin to say, “Well, God, why did You let this happen to me?” It’s not the time to step back and re-evaluate His faithfulness.

What I’m saying to you is this: When tough times keep dragging on and the situations around you seem to refuse to get in line with the promises of God, don’t re-evaluate God! He’s not missing it, and He’s not failing.

If you’re going to re-evaluate anything, re-evaluate yourself! Look and see where you may have failed. If you still can’t find out what the problem is, just say, “God, I don’t know what’s wrong here, and I’m asking You to show me. But one thing I know, the problem’s not with You, and I continue to be moved by Your Word and not by circumstances.” Then, when He reveals something to you, be quick to make changes.

I want to encourage you to stand firm and to keep honoring God with your words. The Lord is listening to you when the pressure is on. What is He going to hear?

Scripture Reading: Psalm 62

Instagram Deletes Post Which Says Only Men Can Be Pastors, Calls it “Hate Speech”

A Christian ministry had one of their posts reported to Instagram and deleted because it “doesn’t follow our Community Guidelines on hate speech or symbols.”

Founders Ministries, which works to see “the recovery of the gospel and the biblical reformation of local churches,” posted an article on their blog titled, “Only Men Can Be Pastors.” As with every article on their site, they took a screenshot and posted it on Instagram so their followers could know there was new content available.

The caption for the photo was the first sentence of the post, which read, “In spite of the fact that it seems more and more fashionable in our day to say that women may be pastors, the Bible is clear that pastoral leadership is restricted to men.”

Hannah Ascol, who runs the ministry’s social media accounts, told The Christian Daily Reporter that the post had generated their “second best post engagement of the year.” She added, “There was good discussion and agreement in the comments.”

She received a message on Sunday night informing that the Instagram post, which initially went up on Wednesday, had been reported by a user. They said they reviewed the post and deleted it. The message also warned, “If you violate our guidelines again, your account may be restricted or disabled.”

Christian MP back in court accused of perverting the course of justice

Fiona Onasanya, MP for Peterborough, is on trial at the Old Bailey accused of perverting the course of justice.

At 10.03pm on July 24 last year, her Nissan Micra was allegedly caught by a speed camera doing 41mph in a 30mph zone on The Causeway in the village of Thorney, in Cambridgeshire.

Trained solicitor Onasanya, 35, was sent a Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP), which was sent back naming Aleks Antipow as the driver, jurors heard.

But the court was told he was at home with his parents in Russia at the time.

Prosecutor David Jeremy QC said Onasanya was connected with Mr Antipow through a property that she and her brother, Festus Onasanya, had rented in Chesterton, Cambridge.

Mr Antipow had lived at that address between August and September 2016, jurors were told.

The contact details given for Mr Antipow were not his true address and telephone number, but were connected to the defendant’s brother, the court heard.

Mr Jeremy said: “The purpose in providing the name of a real person as the driver, but providing a false address and telephone number that were connected to Festus Onasanya, was that Mr Antipow, while a real person, would remain untraceable to the police, and so the true driver of Miss Onasanya’s car on the 24th July 2017 would escape prosecution.”

Festus Onasanya had deployed the tactic when his car was caught by a speed camera on June 17 and August 23…

Andrew Wommack Devotional 14 November 2018: Receive The Ministry Of The Angels

Topic: Receive The Ministry Of The Angels [Andrew Wommack Devotional 14 November 2018]

Luke 22:43 “And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.”

We have angels assigned to us. Hebrews 1:14 further reveals that their purpose is to minister to us, on our behalf. In the Old Testament, Psalm 91 teaches on the ministry of angels to God’s people.

Some people who have realized this truth have taken it as far as to say that we are suppose to speak to our angels and they will obey our commands. There is no instruction in scripture to do this nor is there any example of that being done. We don’t have the intelligence to administer all of the angels.

Many of the angels’ protective duties described in Psalm 91 are preventative, and we certainly could not effectively command these activities.

Rather, these angels are dispatched exactly as this verse describes – by looking at the Father’s face (Mat. 18:10). God Almighty controls them for us; however, we do have a part to play. Psalm 91 prefaces all of these promises about angels as being for those who dwell in the secret place of the most High. Verse 2 further instructs us to say that the Lord is our refuge and fortress and in Him we trust.

It is the combination of our faith in God and His faithfulness to us that releases the angels on our behalf. If it was solely up to God, His provision would be the same for everyone because of His mercy and grace. However, we have to receive God’s grace by faith (Eph. 2:8). As we seek the Lord, become aware of His ministering spirits which were created to minister to us, and speak forth our faith in this area, He will send forth His angels on our behalf.

Billy Graham Devotional 14 November 2018 – Unbreakable

Topic: Unbreakable [Billy Graham Devotional 14 November 2018]

. . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. — Joshua 24:15

The basic unit of any society is the home. When the home begins to break, the society is on the way to disintegration. Thousands of homes are almost on the rocks. Many couples are fearful lest their home, too, will be broken some day. There is one great insurance policy that you can take out, in order to guarantee the unity and happiness of your home. It is simple: Make Christ the center of your home.

A home is like a solar system. The center, the great sun, holds the solar system together. If it were not for the sun, the solar system would fly to pieces. Unless the Son of God is put at the center of your home, it, too, may fly to pieces.

Prayer for the day: How easy it is to push You to one side, Lord, and superficially remember Your blessings. May we always keep You at the center of all that we do in our homes.

Open Heaven 14 November 2018 – It is a New Dawn!

Open Heaven 14 November 2018 Wednesday Daily Devotional by Pastor E A Adeboye – It is a New Dawn!

Topic: It is a New Dawn! (Open Heaven 14 November 2018)

Memorise: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:”2 Peter 1:19

Read: Exodus 12:1-11 (KJV)

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover.

Bible in One Year: Ezekiel 3-4, Luke 21:29-22:13

Open Heaven 14 November 2018 Wednesday MESSAGE:

The children of Israel experienced a new dawn when they left Egypt in circumstances that only God could have made possible. If the Lord could give a new dawn to a nation of slaves, I know that you will also experience a new dawn this season in Jesus’ Name. The Lord told Moses and Aaron that the month of their exodus from Egypt would be the beginning of months to them. In other words, it would become the first month of a new year to them. To someone using this devotional, regardless of the fact that we are in November, this shall be the beginning of months to you because you are entering into your new year this month. You cannot afford to wait till the last day of this year to receive that miracle you desire so much, because the Lord is able and willing to do it now. He has done it before and He will still do it again. We experienced this dimension of the Lord’s move in Nigeria a couple of years ago. The country was severely under the siege of a totalitarian ruler, and the children of God were seriously praying for the country’s deliverance. During one of our monthly Holy Ghost Service meetings, the Lord suddenly spoke to me that I should instruct the congregation to greet each other “Happy New Year”! Amazingly, this was the middle of the year. As usual, I obeyed my Commander-in-Chief; the brethren greeted each other “Happy New Year”, and we closed the meeting. Barely 48 hours afterwards, the siege over the nation was lifted. Announce to yourself or those around you that it is a new dawn, and so shall it be in Jesus’ Name.

After declaring a new dawn for the Israelites, God dealt with the enemies that held them bound, so much so that their king called for Moses and Aaron in the middle of the night, begging them to lead the Israelites out of the land. These were the same people he had held in captivity for years (Exodus 12:31-33). Beloved, Psalm 126:1 says:

“When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.”

When the Lord brings you to a new dawn, even your neighbours may not easily recognise you, because your level would have changed drastically. Can you believe that Pharaoh even asked Moses to pray for him! I decree into your life this day, by the time the Lord accomplishes what He intends to do for you, your enemies will come begging for intercessory prayers in Jesus’ Name. Beloved, I announce to you today, it is a new dawn. All that is required of you is to keep to the precepts of God’s word, and don’t ever let it cross your mind to go back to the Egypt of sin again.

Father, I receive my new dawn of joy, victory, breakthrough and perfect walk with You in Jesus’ Name.

The Lord’s Supper in Pill Form? New Product Sparks Debate

The Lord’s Supper in Pill Form? New Product Sparks Debate

A Colorado woman is selling the elements of communion in two pills — matzo bread powder in one pill and red wine extract in the other — and sparking debate over the definition of the Lord’s Supper.

Theresa Lay, a businesswoman, told CBS4 in Denver that the pills can be used by Christians who are traveling or who are in remote locations, such as military personnel overseas.

“Large groups or just people on the go who want to worship and give thanks to God,” she said. “That’s pretty much how I invented the communion pill.”

The product is called “God’s Pill.” She came up with the idea during a personal tragedy.

“I had gone through loss in my life and I was taking daily communion,” she said. “And I thought about a portable way, a quick and easy way to do it.”

Lay added, “I believe communion brings hope and healing to the world. It’s been 2,000 years since the last supper and it’s new every time someone celebrates.”

Readers on the CBS4 Facebook page were divided over her product.

“I don’t think that’s what God had in mind,” one person wrote.

Wrote another person, “I have friends in the mission field and though I don’t care for the name, see it as a way for them to celebrate communion in far-away places.”

Pope gives Vatican’s sex abuse investigator prominent role

The move is a sign that Francis is looking to improve the Holy See’s response to abuse at a time the church and papacy are facing a credibility crisis.

Francis named Archbishop Charles Scicluna as a deputy, or adjunct secretary, at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the Vatican office that processes sex abuse cases.

Archbishop Scicluna had been the congregation’s chief prosecutor for a decade and was credited with turning the church around, with new procedures making it easier to defrock paedophiles.

However, Pope Benedict XVI sent him to his native Malta in 2012 as bishop after his tough line ruffled too many feathers in the Vatican bureaucracy.

Archbishop Scicluna retains his Malta post.
