HGTV Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines recently opened up about the possibility of expanding their family. 

Chip and Joanna Gaines recently appeared on NBC’s Today Show to talk about Joanna’s new book, Home Body, but the conversation quickly shifted when the couple’s four-month-old son, Crew, was bought out onto set. 

While Today show hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie held baby Crew, Joanna gushed over her son saying, “He is a gift. He really, we were talking the other day just saying how… time has just slowed down time. He has just been a gift.” 

Crew was an unexpected pregnancy for the family, making him the fifth Gaines child. 

In the Today show interview the couple also made hints at plans for having more children in the future.

When the hosts asked if they had plans to expand their family further given Chip’s known desire to have six kids, Joanna looked at her husband saying, he wants Crew “to have a sister.” 

The interior designer continued saying, “I love the process of being pregnant, I love giving birth,” she added. 

The hosts also asked Joanna how their four other children were reacting to having Crew as their new sibling given the eight-year age gap between Crew and the next youngest child. 

Joanna assured the hosts that the age gap was not an issue for her family saying, “it’s easy.”

Voters in Alabama overwhelmingly approved the public display of the Ten Commandments Tuesday. 

The vote adds an amendment to the state’s Constitution which reaffirms religious liberty for all people, allows the display of the Ten Commandments according to certain “constitutional” standards, and forbids the expenditure of public money in defense of the amendment or the displays it authorizes.

The measure, favored by more than 71 percent of Alabama voters, reads, “Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, providing for certain religious rights and liberties; authorizing the display of the Ten Commandments on state property and property owned or administrated by a public school or public body; and prohibiting the expenditure of public funds in defense of the constitutionality of this amendment.”

The amendment’s leading advocate, Dean Young, heralded its passage as a watershed moment for the state. He said, “The people we were hearing from are super excited to have this opportunity to go down in history as the first state to acknowledge that we want God, that is the Christian God, in their Constitution. This is the first time in the history of the country that a state has taken such a stand in acknowledging the God of the Old and New Testament.”

T.C. Stallings planned on utilizing his talents on the football field on Sundays in the NFL, but the course of his life changed when he saw the movie Fireproof.  Moved by what he saw on the screen, his “heart started thumping to act.”

Stallings explained that he spent time praying and asking God to help him discern if his newfound desire truly came from him. After landing a role in Courageousand seeing how God worked through that film, he committed to his craft whole-heartedly. He said, “I don’t care where I’m going. I just care who’s leading.”

Stallings said he now sees making movies with a positive message as his calling from God. With so many movies and television shows advocating negative messages, he believes that “We need something to go up against that.” He wants to be an actor who uses “all my gifts and talents to glorify God and lift him up.”

Stallings uses his commitment to making positive movies that bring glory to God as a filter for deciding which movie roles he will accept. He said that “When someone approaches me with a project, I give it to the Lord.” He further explained that “If I ever took a role where it makes it difficult for me to tell people about Jesus then it’s a for sure ‘no’ for me.”

When Black Panther star Letitia Wright recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress revealed that her faith plays a significant role in how she approaches her career.

Wright began her acting career in the early 2010s with smaller roles in tv shows, including Doctor Who and Top Boy. While she scored a few feature roles, Wright soon found herself battling depression throughout her early years in Hollywood.

In an article from Tribune Content Agency, Wright thought back to that difficult period: “I was putting so much pressure on myself. You get comfortable with the idea of thinking, ‘Maybe it’s OK to leave.’ [I was in] a very dark place.”

The actress made the decision to take a break from acting, as she felt that she “idolized it.” She opened up to FaithWire in a February interview, recalling her choice to temporarily step back from the spotlight:

“So I came off from it and I went on a journey to discover my relationship with God, and I became a Christian,” she mentioned. “It really just gave me so much love and light within myself. I felt secure, like I didn’t need validation from anyone else, or from getting a part.”

President Trump removed Attorney General Jeff Sessions from his post Wednesday, ending a tumultuous relationship that began souring after Sessions recused himself from overseeing the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Sessions sent Trump a resignation letter hours after being asked to step down. He was among the first prominent Republicans to endorse Trump during the Republican primaries. 

“At your request, I am submitting my resignation,” the letter read. “Since the day I was honored to be sworn in as Attorney General of the United States, I came to work at the Department of Justice every day determined to do my duty and serve my country. I have done so to the best of my ability, working to support the fundamental legal processes that are the foundation of justice.”

The letter added that the Justice Department had, under Sessions’ time, “restored and upheld the rule of law” and “operated with integrity” and “lawfully and aggressively advanced the policy agenda of this administration.”

Trump repeatedly had expressed regret for appointing Sessions to the post, saying if he had known Sessions was going to recuse himself, he would have hired someone else.

Televangelist Creflo Dollar, founder and senior pastor of the nearly 30,000-member World Changers Church International, is now offering a $19 per month online Bible study that he says will help people make withdrawals from God’s metaphorical bank account.

Through Dollar’s online discipleship courses that launched during the summer, Grace Life Academy, subscribers will have unlimited access to his Bible studies which he recently explained in a promotional video will help them live a life of “joy and abundance.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to share a practical example of how to empower your life with an understanding of the grace message,” Dollar said in a video posted to YouTube on Monday.

“Let’s use an example you all are familiar with. You have a bank account. A need arises so you access the funds in that account to pay for dinner or to pay for something nice for yourself. Lauren Daigle made her late night debut last night as she graced The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon stage performing her song “Look Up Child.”

The Billboard Music award winner took to the stage Wednesday night to sing the title track from her new hit album which reached number one of the Top Christian Albums chart and number three on the Billboards Top 200 chart. 

Daigle has recently been making the mainstream talk show rounds first appearing on The Ellen Show late last month which was met with some criticism. 

The Christian artists defended her decision to perform on the openly-gay talk show hosts show in a radio interview saying, “I think the second we start drawing lines around which people are able to be approached and which aren’t, we’ve already completely missed the heart of God.”

She continued, “I don’t have all the answers in life, but one thing I know is that I can’t choose who I’m supposed to be kind to and who I’m not, because that’s the mission right? Be who Christ was to everyone as well.”

Daigle’s performance on The Tonight Show was met with much more excitement following her defense, many people excited that a Christian artist is getting mainstream publicity.
