The Power of Dedication by David Ibiyeomie

The Power of Dedication by David Ibiyeomie

Topic: The Power of Dedication

Dedication is the act of binding oneself mentally, physically and be deadly committed to a course of life. The height of your accomplishment is all tied to your level of consistency and commitment.

Satan is not threatened by your coming to church but the application of what you have heard.

Philippians 3:12 (KJV): Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

To be successful, you have to do the things that are required for success. There is no shortcut to success; it is not accidental. Success is not one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and it does not come by wishing or prophesying without action. It is not an exclusive privilege of any race, family, background, color, nation; that is a poverty mentality. Success is consciously prepared for, worked for and following the rules.

A dedicated man is not moved, discouraged, depressed by any circumstance or negative situation.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV): Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Dedicated people go extra mile, working sacrificially and investing into what they believe. If your dedication costs you nothing, it will pay you nothing. Dedicated people are ready to suffer the pains of today to enjoy the gain of tomorrow. They are not bothered about immediate gratification.

Acts 20:24 (KJV): But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Until you die into your assignment, you will not succeed.

John 12:24 (KJV): Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

It is time to be dedicated to your assignment if you want to reap the fruit of success. As you do so, the God that called me will change your story in the name of Jesus the Christ –Amen!

God bless you

TREM Devotional 24 October 2018 – You Are God’s Beloved

Topic: You Are God’s Beloved [TREM Devotional 24 October 2018]

“To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved”. Ephesians 1:6

When God said of Jesus, this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, it was an announcement to the powers of hell that: If you like, bring your best shot, you cannot defeat this one. God was saying, Satan, don’t go there because if you go there, you will see my other side. Do you know that God has said the same thing concerning us? We have been accepted in the beloved. I am God’s beloved! Therefore, I cannot lack any good thing. I am His beloved, so I must have shelter. He will dress me up. I must have a car. My desires are met. Sickness will not destroy my body because I am His beloved.

I am so excited about the love of God. The Bible says, who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Is it tribulation, distress, persecution, nakedness, peril or sword? Absolutely nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Rather, in all these things, we are more than conquerors. You are a winner!

Do you know what that means? No matter what, head or tail, you win. You can never lose. Do not let the devil lie to you and say because you did something wrong or because you committed sin, God no longer loves you. No! He loves you. He may not love what you did, but He still loves you. A father may not love what his son has done, but he cannot deny his son.

God loves you and His love will fight for you. The love of God will shut the mouth of the enemy. The love of God will elevate you. Don’t ever approach God with the sense of inferiority complex or condemnation. You have a seat on the table. Nothing shall separate you from His love. Not even an accusation from the pit of hell. God loves you and so he will take care of you.

DCLM Daily Manna 24 October 2018 – The Judgement of Rulers

Topic: The Judgement of Rulers [DCLM Daily Manna 24 October 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Isaiah 3:3-26 (KJV)

Key Verse: “The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people. The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses (Isaiah 3:13,14).

MESSAGE:

Walker, a prominent politician, was about contesting for an election, but he was sued for being a rebel. Earlier, he had bribed his way in the law court through the judge. And instead of him to be convicted of not being eligible to contest for the election, he was rather favoured by the judge. This shows the unjust nature of man’s judgment.

In today’s world, sinful living often appears glorious, exciting and clever. Nevertheless, it remains a rejection of God’s ownership and control. Like the daughters of Zion, those who shift their affection from God to material things adorn themselves with clothing and jewellery to be noticed and approved by men rather than God, become self-serving and self-centred, lavish God’s resources and live licentiously will eventually face the judgment of God except they repent.

Likewise, leaders who become unjust, oppressing and defrauding the poor should be prepared for judgment. They must remember that they will account for whatever they do with their leadership privileges. They must not oppress the poor and the less privileged because God holds them in high esteem and will quickly respond to their call for vengeance. Regardless of how the society perceives it, in the long run, sin will make its captives miserable and unfit for the kingdom of God. Every sin committed shall receive a just recompense.

Thought For The Day: Leaders should lead in the fear of God.

Seeds of Destiny 24 October 2018 Devotional: Humility – A Sign of Spirituality

Topic: Humility – A Sign of Spirituality [Seeds of Destiny 24 October 2018 Devotional]

Scripture: Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. James 4:10

Thought For The Day: Limitation in humility is the limitation of destiny.

Humility is the quality of having a modest view of one’s importance. Humility means being devoid of an exaggerated lifestyle.

Now, there is a connection between humility and spirituality. Spiritual people are humble people, and until your humility is in place, your destiny is not in view. It is the limit of your spirituality that determines the limit of your humility, and the limit of your humility determines the limit of your destiny. Thus, limitation in humility is the limitation of destiny.

Now, two ways a person can be imparted with humility are:
1. The humility of spirituality
In this, the virtue of Jesus Christ Who is the emblem of humility flows on a true child of God willing to possess the same virtue.

2. The humility of adversity
This is the humility that is imparted by adversity or calamity. For example, when King Nebuchadnezzar refused to humble himself before God, adversity took him to the wilderness and imparted him with humility (Daniel 4:1-37). The same was spoken of the prodigal son. He became so incapacitated by poverty that he even desired pig’s meal and could not get any to eat; his mentality got adjusted and humility was imparted (Luke 15:11-32).

My counsel is, embrace the humility of spirituality in order to escape the humility of adversity. You shall make it, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: Limitation in humility is the limitation of destiny.

Assignments:
1. Do not wait until adversity humbles you, be humbled through spirituality.
2. Always realize that what you are and all that you have were given to you by God; so, avoid the pathway of pride and arrogance.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the spirit of pride and arrogance. I receive fresh baptism and grace for spiritual intensity and absolute humility Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Pastor Andrew Brunson Reveals Which Bible Passage Helped Him Endure Turkish Prison

Pastor Andrew Brunson Reveals Which Bible Passage Helped Him Endure Turkish Prison

Pastor Andrew Brunson revealed in an interview how his faith and a specific passage in the Bible got him through his two-year imprisonment in Turkey.

Pastor Brunson is an American Pastor from North Carolina who worked as a pastor and lived in Turley for 23 years before he was detained in 2016 with his wife.

Brunson’s wife, Norine, revealed in an interview with CBS This Morning that she was released after 13 days in prison, but her husband would be held for two years.

The North Carolina Pastor was officially charged with espionage and being a part of a terrorist group and earlier this month he was released on time served. Brunson adamantly denies these claims, but still following his arrest and release, he had to leave Turkey to come back to America.

The Pastor sat down with the hosts of CBS This Morning to talk about his experience and time in prison.

Brunson noted that for a while he was in solitary confinement saying, “There was very little contact with the outside.”

He continued, “I could see Norine, for example, 35 minutes a week through window glass talking by phone. She actually is very strong and had to take me through this emotionally and spiritually. She was the only one I could receive truth from. So, when she would come in, she would encourage me and that is what would keep me going through the next week.”

Abortion by Mail: Foreign Group Now Shipping Abortion Pills to U.S. Homes

Abortion by Mail: Foreign Group Now Shipping Abortion Pills to U.S. Homes

An international doctor who founded an organization that ships abortion pills to women around the world says she is now shipping such drugs to U.S. women, although it remains unclear whether her actions are legal.

Rebecca Gomperts, a doctor, formed a new organization called Aid Access that ships abortion pills to American women following an online consultation, The Atlantic reported. All total, it costs about $95.

The drugs – mifepristone and misoprostol — are similar if not identical to what are sold in the United States. Mifepristone causes the lining of the uterus to release the unborn baby. Misoprostol sparks contractions and a delivery of the dead child. They can be taken only in the first nine weeks of pregnancy.

Aid Access is about six months old and has shipped pills to about 600 women, Gomperts told The Atlantic. An older organization she founded, Women on Web, does not ship to the U.S.

Gomperts said her service is legal, but the FDA told The Atlantic it is not.

“Mifepristone, including Mifeprex, for termination of pregnancy is not legally available over the Internet,” the FDA said in a statement. “The agency takes the allegations related to the sale of mifepristone in the U.S. through online distribution channels very seriously and is evaluating the allegations to assess potential violations of U.S. law.”

Ken Ham Hits Back After Matt Walsh Claims Creationists Make Reaching Others With Christianity Harder

(Photo: https://arkencounter.com/)Ken Ham in front of the Ark Encounter theme park that opened in Williamstown, Kentucky on July 7, 2016.

The Creation Museum founder Ken Ham has hit back against Catholic writer Matt Walsh’s claim that Young Earth Creationists make it harder to reach others with Christianity.

“Walsh’s main points were that the days in Genesis could not be 24 hours and that science has proved the Earth is billions of years old,” Ham summarized in an Answers in Genesis article on Saturday.

“The fundamental point that Mr. Walsh is making is that he is more willing to rely on man’s fallible word than to trust God’s infallible word. He repeatedly cites ‘science’ as the reason the Earth cannot be young. Yet, when observational science is performed, there are mountains of evidence from geology, astronomy, physics, archaeology, and so on that the Earth is indeed young,” Ham insisted.

In Walsh’s video published by The Daily Wire on YouTube last week, he argued that although he doesn’t “question the sincerity or the faithfulness of six-day Creationist folks,” he positioned that when the belief is preached, it can “inadvertently do some harm” and “put obstacles in the way, especially for non-believers.”

“There are many Christians who insist that Genesis describes…

Our Daily Bread 24 October 2018 Devotional – Impossible to Hold

Topic: Impossible to Hold [Our Daily Bread 24 October 2018 Devotional]

Read: Acts 2:22–36, Bible in a Year: Jeremiah 3–5; 1 Timothy 4

It was impossible for death to keep its hold on [Jesus]. Acts 2:24

Swimming with friends in the Gulf of Mexico, Caitlyn encountered a shark, which grabbed her legs and pulled at her body. To counter the attack, Caitlyn punched the shark in the nose. The predator unclenched its jaws and swam away in defeat. Although its bite caused multiple wounds, which required over 100 stitches, the shark was unable to keep Caitlyn in its grasp.

This story reminds me of the fact that Jesus delivered a blow to death, ending its power to intimidate and defeat His followers. According to Peter, “It was impossible for death to keep its hold on [Jesus]” (Acts 2:24).

Peter said these words to a crowd in Jerusalem. Perhaps many of them had been the ones yelling out, “Crucify him!” to condemn Jesus (Matthew 27:22). As a result, Roman soldiers fastened Him to a cross where He hung until they confirmed He was dead. Jesus’s body was carried to a tomb where it stayed for three days until God resurrected Him. After His resurrection, Peter and others spoke and ate with Him, and after forty days they watched Him ascend into heaven (Acts 1:9).

Jesus’s life on Earth ended amidst physical suffering and mental anguish, yet God’s power defeated the grave. Because of this, death—or any other struggle—lacks the ability to keep us in its grip forever. One day all believers will experience everlasting life and wholeness in God’s presence. Focusing on this future can help us find freedom today.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, Your victory over death gives me hope! I praise You as the resurrected One who died so that I could have eternal life.

The grip of the grave is no match for the power of God.

Kenneth & Gloria Copeland Devotional 24 October 2018 – God Goes Too!

Topic: God Goes Too! [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland Devotional 24 October 2018]

But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him. – 1 Corinthians 6:17, The Amplified Bible

I once heard about a great man of God who looked in the mirror every day when he put on his suit and said, “Suit, everywhere you go today, God goes in you.” And you know, he’s right. If you have united yourself to God by receiving Jesus as Lord, everywhere you go today…God goes too!

As believers, we need to start becoming more conscious of that. We need to train ourselves to be constantly aware of God inside of us, talking to us, teaching us, counseling us, empowering us and enduing us with Himself.

We need to continually remind ourselves that we are one spirit with Him. That means that every time we face a problem, every time we face an evil spirit that tries to influence and hinder our lives, God is facing it too. When we meet those things, God meets them. And He’s already overcome them!

Let me encourage you when you get dressed today to look in the mirror and say, “I am united to the Lord and I have become one spirit with Him. Body, everywhere you go today…God goes. God is in you. The power of God is in you. The wisdom of God is in you. The victory of God is in you.”

Say that to yourself every day—many times a day. Keep doing it until you begin to develop the habit of thinking that way. Cultivate a constant awareness of the reality of God living in you!

Andrew Wommack Devotional 24 October 2018 – Let God Prune You His Way

Topic: Let God Prune You His Way (Andrew Wommack Devotional 24 October 2018 Devotional – Let God Prune You His Way)

John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

This purging has been interpreted in many ways. The illustration that Jesus is using is one of pruning; therefore, some have said this purging is a very painful process where the Lord cuts and slashes us through things like sickness, death, poverty, and other forms of tragedy so that eventually we will bear more fruit. This teaching not only promotes problems as being good, but necessary, if we want to bear more fruit.

That thinking is not consistent with the rest of God’s Word or even the context of this verse. The text makes it very clear that the purging that Jesus speaks of is done through the Word that He has spoken unto us.

Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that God’s Word was given to us “for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” That is God’s method of pruning us, and He doesn’t need the devil’s help. His word will make us “perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

That is not to say that we cannot learn through tragedy: but God has a better way. If we mistakenly think that God is bringing tragedy into our lives to make us more fruitful, then we’ll not resist the tragedies and they will not flee from us. All of us will learn by hard knocks, but the man who welcomes them with wide open arms will suffer greatly and be far behind the man who lets God’s Word have His perfect work in him.
