Receiving Divine Healing By Pastor Paul Enenche

IMPARTATION SERVICE – 21ST OCTOBER 2018
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S): JAMES 5:13-16
MESSAGE TOPIC: RECEIVING DIVINE HEALING

SERVICE OBJECTIVE: Understanding how to receive Divine Healing or be restored back to health

Divine healing is available as a provision of God for His people (Jer. 30:17; 3John 1:2; Ex. 15:26; Ps. 103:1-3; Isa. 30:26)

The best way to live is living in Divine health

WHERE HEALTH IS CHALLENGED, WHAT DO YOU DO TO BE RESTORED?

1. Receiving the sent Word (Ps. 107:20; Luke 5:15; 6:17)

LEVELS OF WORD TO CONNECT WITH FOR HEALING:

1a. Connecting the written Word in the area of health and healing

1b. Listening to healing Scriptures

1c. Listening to the preached Word on the subjects of faith, Divine healing and Divine health

i. The Word of God is pregnant with healing virtue (Prov. 4:20-22)

ii. The Word of God imparts faith and faith makes whole (Rom. 10:8, 17; Matt. 9:22)

iii. The Word of God transmits the life of God (John 6:63)

2. Speaking to the mountain (Mark 11:23-24; Joel 3:10; Num. 14:28)

WHAT SPEAKING TO THE MOUNTAIN IN THE NAME OF THE LORD REFERS TO:

2a. Speaking to the challenge, problem or affliction in the name of the Lord and ordering according to desired expectation (Mk. 11:23)

2b. Rebuking the spirit or the root of the challenge or affliction in the Name of the Lord (Luke 4:38-39)

IMPACT OF SPEAKING TO THE MOUNTAIN IN THE NAME OF THE LORD:

i. The earth is wired to respond to the Word of the Lord (Jer. 22:29)

ii. The powers of the enemy have been programmed to submit to the authority of God’s Word and the Name of Jesus (Phil. 2:9-11)

3. Receiving the prayer of faith (Jam. 5:14-15; Matt. 18:19-20)

Also Read: Character Development by Pastor Paul Enenche

WHAT THE PRAYER OF FAITH REFERS TO:

3a. The prayer of faith is prayer that is offered on the behalf of others on the basis of conviction and confidence in both God and His Word (Jam. 5:15)

3b. The prayer of faith is the prayer that is offered in the unity or agreement of conviction by the brethren on any issue (Matt. 18:19-20)

IMPACT OF THE PRAYER OF FAITH:

i. Faith is the switch of power; God’s power is switched into operation when faith is at work (Heb. 11:6; Mark 5:30-34)

ii. God honours the agreement of faith with answers; He responds to the agreement of faith with results (Matt. 18:19-20)

4. Connecting the power of the Oil (Mark 6:12-13; James 5:14-15)

HOW THE POWER OF THE OIL IS ADMINISTERED:

4a. Through the agency of higher spiritual authority (James 5:14)

4b. By self-administration (Prov. 6:5)

IMPACT OF THE OIL:

i. The anointing oil is God’s healing balm that directly communicates healing virtue (Luke 10:33- 34)

ii. The anointing oil transmits the Spirit of God and the Spirit of God is creative in power (1Sam. 16:13; Gen. 1:1-2)

iii. The anointing oil transmits the yoke-destroying, burden-removing power of God (Isa. 10:27)

5. Connecting the power of the Communion (John 6:55-57; Exo. 12:11-13; 1Cor. 5:7; Ps. 105:37)

HOW TO ADMINISTER THE COMMUNION:

5a. Through congregational administration (1Cor. 10:16)

5b. Through personal administration (1 Cor. 11:26)

IMPACT OF THE COMMUNION:

i. The communion communicates the Passover mystery (Exo. 12:11-13)

ii. The communion transmits into us the very sick-less life of God (John 6:55-56)

iii. The communion grants victory over the enemy and his forces (Rev. 12:11)

6. Receiving the Ministry of healing (1Cor. 12:9)

HOW TO CONNECT AND RECEIVE THE GIFT AND MINISTRY OF HEALING:

6a. By being in the vicinity of the manifestation of that gift and healing (Acts 5:14-16)

6b. By connecting points of contact from the lives of carriers of that gift (Acts 19:11-12)

HOW THE MINISTRY OF HEALING WORKS:

i. The healing gift and ministry creates an atmosphere or climate of healing where those who come into the proximity of that climate receive their healing effortlessly (Luke 6:19)

ii. The healing gift or ministry is the release of God’s mercy on the afflicted far beyond their faith or qualification for it (Mic. 7:18)

REQUIREMENTS FOR RECEIVING DIVINE HEALING:

1. Sins must be forgiven (Ps. 103:1-3; Ps. 119:67; 107:17; Jam. 5:16; Mark 2:3-5)
You cannot be praying for healing on top of unconfessed sin and be taken seriously
Guilt is the enemy of both health and faith

2. Forgiveness must be released (Jam. 5:16; Mark 11:25)
Forgiveness does not mean that you become the friend of everybody
Until forgiveness is released, healing is not received
Bitterness is a sustainer of sickness

3. Fear must be refused (Job 3:25; 1John 4:18)
The fear of death or disease attracts the death and disease you fear
Fear cannot co-exist with faith or with healing

4. Vision must be in place (Gen. 13:14-15; Prov. 29:18; Jer. 1:11-12; Prov. 23:7)
If you can’t see your future, you don’t have a future!
If you can’t see your future, you don’t have a future!
The tomorrow you cannot see does not exist
If you can see the ultimate, you will survive the immediate; no devil can kill you in today if you can see tomorrow!
When you can see the future, you can seize the future
If you have no reason to live, you die like a chicken but a reason for living keeps you alive

A Prudent Family Life (Part 3) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

A Prudent Family Life (Part 3) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Topic: A Prudent Family Life (Part 3)

Dear Reader,

In the previous teaching, you were taught how to think creatively by stirring up your mind with God’s Word. This week, we will consider the topic: The Benefits of Creative Thinking. There are amazing gains when you employ creativity in your family matters.

1. You are never stranded:

Too many people regret in life today because they made hasty decisions in the past. Your mind is the seat of wisdom and when you open it up for the wisdom of God, you can never lack direction. You will always know what to do with what you have to make it enough for your family. Many people are labouring hard but are frustrated and weary because they do not have direction. You can end every form of frustration over any aspect of your family life by wisdom. God’s Word says: The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city (Ecclesiastes 10:15).

2. Relieves stress:

When we engage our minds, we are able to come up with new things through great ideas. We are able to proffer solutions to any challenge that may confront our family lives. This takes a lot of stress off you and improves the quality of your family life.

Also Read: Dwelling In Understanding (Part 4) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

3. Leads to efficiency:

According to the dictionary, efficiency is defined as “ability to avoid wasting materials, energy, efforts, money, and time in doing something or in producing a desired result” creative thinking will help you manage what you have maximally. I remember the days when we could barely afford two square meals a day and chicken was a luxury, yet, we were healthy because I made use of what we had maximally. That culture has helped me now that food is no longer a concern in our family. Learn how to manage the little and when much comes, you won’t have any cause to waste. God’s Word says: … I created the waster to destroy (Isaiah 54:16). So, wastage destroys. You will not be destroyed! Now, I challenge you to rise up, stir up that creative mind in you and you will never be stranded again in Jesus’ name!

To have the mind of Christ, you need to invite Him into your life If you are not yet born again and you desire to do so right now, please pray this prayer with faith in your heart: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.

Congratulations! If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).

With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace in Jesus’ Name! Call or write to share your testimonies with me through [email protected], 07026385437 OR 08141320204.

TREM Devotional 22 October 2018 – All Things Work Together For Good

Topic: All Things Work Together For Good [TREM Devotional 22 October 2018]

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

There was this sad story of a plane crash that happened in Nigeria some time ago. But it is interesting to know that some people were supernaturally delivered. They were to enter the same plane but right there on the spot something happened. One of them, a lady, was already at the counter to buy ticket. She was next in line but as she was fiddling with her purse to bring out money, a Chinese overtook her and got the ticket. As expected, she quarrelled with the Chinese. In fact, the Chinese were taunting her with the ticket. But unknown to her God was saying, my daughter it is not yet your time.

There was this case of another lady also on the line for ticket when her husband called her on the phone. Because of the noise around the counter, she stepped out and by the time she came back, tickets had finished. In fact, she was quarrelling with the husband; arguing that he would pay for the excess because the airline was cheaper than others. She felt bad but unknown to her all things were working together for her good. Before she left the airport, she heard about the crash. There was yet another business man who told his driver to buy him that very airline ticket but before the driver got to the airport the ticket sales were over. The man was upset with his driver and called his wife to fire the driver.

Beloved, we don’t have the same destiny and God always design all things to work out for your good. Don’t begin to say because somebody suffered, you must suffer. No man speaks and it comes to pass when God has not approved it. I declare today that whatever man has put in place against your eternal destiny in Christ Jesus will not progress. The Grace of God will overrule on your behalf.

Seeds of Destiny 22 October 2018 Devotional – The Synergy of Spirituality and Responsibility

Topic: The Synergy of Spirituality and Responsibility [Seeds of Destiny 22 October 2018 Devotional]

Scripture: But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10

Thought For The Day: Spirituality without responsibility is insincerity; spirituality that is bankrupt of responsibility is carnality.

There is a synergy between spirituality and responsibility. You cannot be truly spiritual and not be responsible. Spirituality is always accompanied with a sense of responsibility. To be spiritual is to be ready to take responsibility.

Spirituality without responsibility is insincerity. Spirituality bankrupt of responsibility is carnality. Anyone who is genuinely spiritual would be thoroughly responsible. For instance, a spiritual man would be a responsible husband to his wife and children. Nobody would genuinely know God and be a bad wife. As a wife, you cannot claim to know God genuinely and not submit to your husband. As a husband, you cannot claim you love God and you are beating your wife. You cannot say you know God and be duping or defrauding your business partners. If you know God, you will not allow yourself to be paid a salary you did not work for. To be a good Christian is to be a good and responsible husband, child, wife, employee, employer or citizen. To know God well is to do things right; to know God well is to have your conscience alive for responsibility.

Beloved, nothing refines character like spirituality. The closer you get to God the more like God you become in character. (2 Corinthians 3:18).

I prophesy upon you the grace for spiritual intensity and vibrancy. The last time you had character deficiency because of epileptic spirituality shall be the last forever, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: Spirituality without responsibility is insincerity; spirituality that is bankrupt of responsibility is carnality.

Assignments:
1. Repent of any area you may have compromised your spirituality.
2. Determine to maintain your spiritual fire at all costs and be responsible.

Prayer: Lord, I ask for Your mercy in any area I have compromised my spirituality. Help me to confirm my spirituality by being responsible Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna 22 October 2018 – Where To Find Lasting Help

Topic: Where To Find Lasting Help [DCLM Daily Manna 22 October 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Isaiah 30:18-26 (KJV)

Key Verse: “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left (Isaiah 30:21).

MESSAGE:

A man arrested for hard drug peddling was in his cell in Canada where he found a copy of the New Testament Bible. As he opened it to read for lack of anything else to do, his eyes fell upon Matthew 11:28, where Jesus said – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. As he read it again and again, tears of repentance filled his eyes. He prayed to God for mercy and forgiveness. To his greatest surprise, an unspeakable kind of joy filled his erstwhile sorrowful heart. He knew God had forgiven and saved him.

It is a paradox of sort that while God’s good intention and ability seek to safeguard and help His people, they seek alliance with foreign powers that could really not help them against the enemy. The Old Testament is a chronicle of Israel’s repeated failure to seek lasting help from God in trying times.

Today, God continues to call on all humans to return to Him as the only One who has the solution to the myriads of problems confronting them. Advancement in science and technology, as good as it is, has not provided reasonable solutions to all kinds of problems – wars, diseases, natural disasters, political instability and hunger that have plagued mankind since the fall of Adam. But if people will return to God and walk in His commandments, then the peace that has eluded them will return to them. “For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; in returning and in rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15).

Thought For The Day: The God of peace is the solution to man’s troubles and restlessness.

Our Daily Bread 22 October 2018 Devotional – Treasure in a Pumpkin

Topic: Treasure in a Pumpkin [Our Daily Bread 22 October 2018 Devotional]

Read: 2 Corinthians 4:7–18, Bible in a Year: Isaiah 65–66; 1 Timothy 2

We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:7

As a young mother, I was determined to document my daughter’s first year of life. Each month, I took photos of her to illustrate how she had changed and grown. In one of my favorite pictures, she is gleefully sitting in the belly of a hollowed-out pumpkin I purchased from a local farmer. There she sat, the delight of my heart, contained in an overgrown squash. The pumpkin withered in the ensuing weeks, but my daughter continued to grow and thrive.

The way Paul describes knowing the truth of who Jesus is reminds me of that photo. He likens the knowledge of Jesus in our heart to a treasure stored in a clay pot. Remembering what Jesus did for us gives us the courage and strength to persevere through struggles in spite of being “hard pressed on every side” (2 Corinthians 4:8). Because of God’s power in our lives, when we are “struck down, but not destroyed,” we reveal the life of Jesus (v. 9).

Like the pumpkin that withered, we may feel the wear and tear of our trials. But the joy of Jesus in us can continue to grow in spite of those challenges. Our knowledge of Him—His power at work in our lives—is the treasure stored in our frail clay bodies. We can flourish in the face of hardship because of His power at work within us.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for putting Your truth into my heart and life. Help me to bear up under the challenges I face with Your power. May others see Your work in my life and come to know You too.

God’s power is at work within us.

INSIGHT:
As with Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, the epistle of James encourages those who are facing trials. “Consider it pure joy . . . whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete” (James 1:2–4). Those who persevere will receive strength for today and “the crown of life” (v. 12)—eternal life—tomorrow.

How have you experienced the joy of Christ in the midst of trials?

Christians Are Being Sucked Into Society’s Demonizing, Mocking of Each Other

(Screenshot: tgc.org)Tim Keller, senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, gives remarks at The Gospel Coalition Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

Tim Keller, founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, has warned that Christians are letting themselves be sucked into society’s ongoing demonizing and mocking of groups.

“We live in a world fragmented into various ‘media bubbles,’ in which you hear only news that confirms what you already believe. Anyone whose uses the internet and social media or who even watches most news channels today is being daily encouraged in a dozen ways to become like Jonah with regard to ‘those people over there,'” Keller wrote on Twitter  Wednesday, referring to the biblical figure.

“Groups demonize and mock other groups. Each region of the country and political party finds reasons to despise the others. Christian believers today are being sucked into this maelstrom as much as, if not more than, anyone else,” he added.

“The book of Jonah is a shot across the bow. God asks, how can we look at anyone — even those with deeply opposing beliefs and practices — with no compassion?” he positioned.

Keller linked to his new book, The Prodigal Prophet: Jonah and the Mystery of…

Couples Who Live Together Before Marriage at Higher Risk of Divorce: Study

Expand | Collapse

Couples who live together before they get married are at greater risk of getting a divorce, a recently released study has found, supporting previous data.

What is called the “premarital cohabitation effect” continues to be a real phenomenon, according to a study published last month in the Journal of Marriage and Family. This effect, long examined by social scientists, is that those who live together before getting married are more likely to struggle during marriage.

The study, “Cohabitation Experience and Cohabitation’s Association With Marital Dissolution,” from authors Michael Rosenfeld and Katharina Roesler suggests that such struggles involve an increased risk of divorce and that previous research arguing the effect disappeared was biased toward short versus longer-term effects, as noted Wednesday by Scott Stanley and Galena Rhoades at The Institute for Family Studies in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Those who say the negative effects of cohabiting disappeared simply did not have outcomes for divorce far enough out for those who had married in the recent cohorts that they examined, they explain.

Rosenfeld and Roesler found that living together before marriage is linked with lower odds of divorce in the first year of marriage but the odds of divorce rise in every other year tested, a data point that holds across decades of research. For their research they used a harmonized data set of six waves of the retrospective National Surveys of Family Growth — with 216,455 couple-years — analyzing them with discrete time-event history methods to predict marital…

Megachurch Pastor Tommy Nelson Reveals Medication Helped Him Through Depression, Anxiety

(Screenshot: Vimeo)Pastor Tommy Nelson.

After years of managing chronic depression and anxiety with medication and faith, Texas megachurch Pastor Tommy Nelson hosted a conference this weekend geared at helping others achieve mental health success using “biblical principles and practical truth.”

Billed “The Journey Through Depression and Anxiety,” Nelson, who leads the Denton Bible Church, hosted the event at Mclean Bible Church in Vienna, Virginia, on Friday night and Saturday morning.

In a recent interview with Fox News Radio Nelson, 68, shared some wisdom on the subject based on his personal struggle with his mental health.

“Depression and anxiety are two sides of the same coin. Sometimes one will have more of this or more of that, but they both come from the premise of the same reason. I became a Christian when I was in college. Before that it was all football and after that it was all ministry,” he said. “I never had to be motivated I was just focused.”

In 2004 when he was about 54, Nelson began experiencing unexplained physical pain.

“I began to notice just my body would be in pain and I didn’t know why. Then it would be sleeplessness. And what it was, was adrenalin was always running and I couldn’t sleep, and then it just spiked on a particular Sunday evening and…

Open Heaven 22 October 2018 – Antidote to Temptation

Open Heaven 22 October 2018 Monday Daily Devotional by Pastor E A Adeboye – Antidote to Temptation

Topic: Antidote to Temptation (Open Heaven 22 October 2018)

Memorise: “Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”Luke 12:37

Read: Matthew 13:24-26 (KJV)

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

Bible in One Year: Jeremiah 14-15, Luke 9:28-50

Open Heaven 22 October 2018 Monday MESSAGE:

Temptation is the pressure to yield to influences that can lead a person away from God and into sin. It is also the means by which the loyalty, commitment and obedience of a child of God is tested and proved. Temptation is a part of life that no one can escape from, because nobody is protected or exempted from its influence. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself experienced temptation (Hebrew 4:15). The one who orchestrates temptation, also known as tempter, is the devil (Matthew 4:3). He has perfected highly deceptive means of carrying out his evil enterprise, because he has been long at it. However, glory be to God because the Lord has developed a way of escape for every type of temptation the devil can come up with (1 Corinthians 10:13). If we refuse to use the means of escape provided by God, we will end up falling for the devil’s tricks and disobeying God. This can have devastating repercussions, as seen in the fall of mankind through temptation and the judgment of God which followed (Genesis 3:1-24). It is therefore important for us to learn how to overcome temptation and also reduce our exposure to it by applying the antidote provided by the Lord.

In the last few hours before our Lord Jesus Christ was arrested, knowing what was about to happen shortly, He gave the disciples the antidote to temptation, saying in Matthew 26:41:

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

In this verse of scripture, He named watchfulness and prayer as the antidote to temptation. Watchfulness is the state of being alert and expectant while carefully observing a person or situation. The word of God lays particular emphasis on the need to keep watch for two important events: the second coming of our Lord and the devil’s temptation, which is our focus today. We are called to be alert to the dangers posed to our Christian life by false teachings, worldliness, love for money, inordinate ambition, sinful pleasure, sexual immorality, and all other forms of temptation. Your watchfulness should begin with the admonition of Proverbs 4:23, which says:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Romans 12:2 also speaks about renewing your mind, and this is best done by filling your heart with the undiluted word of God. Another aspect of watching is bridling our tongue in order not to sin with it (1 Peter 3:10, James 1:26). For your faith not to suffer shipwreck due to temptation, you are called by God to soberly watch and be prayerful (1 Peter 4:7). Are you keeping watch?

Open Heaven 22 October 2018 Monday Hymn 18: Conqueror and Overcomers Now Are We

1. Conquerors and overcomers now are we,
Thro’ the precious blood of Christ we’ve victory
If the Lord be for us we can never fail,
Nothing ‘gainst His mighty power can e’er prevail.

Chorus
Conquerors are we, thr’o the blood of Jesus
God will give us victory, thro’ the blood of Jesus
Through the Lamb for sinners slain,
Yet who lives and reigns again,
More than conquerors are we,
More than conquerors are we.

2. In the name of Israel’s God we’ll onward press,
Overcoming sin and all unrighteousness;
Not to us but unto Him the praise shall be,
For salvation and for blood bought victory.

3. Unto Him that overcometh shall be given,
Here to eat of hidden manna sent from Heaven,
Over yonder He the victors palm shall bear,
And a robe of white, and golden crown shall wear.
