Greg Laurie Describes ‘.tic’ Antichrist, Rapture

(Screenshot: Facebook/Greg Laurie)Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Ministries megachurch across California and Hawaii, preaches a sermon on July 15, 2018.

Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, described in an end times message on Sunday what the antichrist will be like when he comes on earth.

“He is sent by Satan himself,” Laurie said in his sermon, titled “America, Antichrist, and the End of Days,” as he preached from the books of Daniel, 2 Thessalonians and Revelation.

“Satan is effectively an imitator, he always copies. Whatever God has, the devil will have his imitation,” the California megachurch pastor continued.

“There is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and there is Satan who wants to be in the place of God, and if Satan had a son, that would be the antichrist.”

He went on to describe the antichrist in more detail, saying, “When this man emerges on the scene, he may not be what you would expect. He will not be dressed in head to toe in black, with glowing red eyes and steam coming out of him, and the Darth Vader theme song playing when he walks into a room.”

Charles to tell inquiry of ‘regret’ over deception by sex abuse bishop

A written statement from Charles will be read on July 27 during the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) investigation as it examines how allegations against the former Church of England bishop were handled.

Now 86, the former bishop of Lewes and then Gloucester was jailed for 32 months in October 2015 for sexually abusing 18 young men over 30 years. He was released in February last year after serving half his sentence behind bars.

Ball, who boasted of his links to royalty and was said to be a confidant of the Prince of Wales, had accepted a caution for one count of gross indecency in 1993 and resigned due to ill health.

According to The Times, Charles’ statement to IICSA will say he was not aware of the “significance” of the caution when Ball mentioned it in a letter in 2009, and that he did not know until recently that a caution carries an acceptance of guilt.

A spokesman for Clarence House said: “In his statement The Prince makes it clear that he was unaware of the true nature of Mr Ball’s behaviour until the latter’s trial and conviction in 2015, at which point he severed all contact.

“Along with many others, he was deceived by Peter Ball over a very long period of time, which is something he deeply regrets.”

The inquiry is examining how the Church of England handled allegations of sexual abuse and has previously focused on the Diocese of…

The West Is Colonizing Africa With Abortion and Population Control, Obianuju Ekeocha Says

(Screengrab: YouTube)Obianuju Ekeocha, founder of Culture of Life Africa and author of “Target Africa: Ideological Colonialism in the Twenty-First Century.”

Africa is being recolonized today, though this time not with armies or arbitrary borders but through Western governments and humanitarian outfits imposing population control ideology, sexual liberation, and abortion, says Obianuju Ekeocha.

This new form of colonization is rooted in a master-slave mindset, Ekeocha stresses in her book, Target Africa: Ideological Neo-colonialism in the Twenty-First Century, which was released earlier this year and documents the nefarious funding streams and political schemes behind this injustice.

While Africa has undoubtedly struggled ever since the end of colonization with all kinds of socio-economic issues and political dysfunction, rich donors from the West have exploited those problems and have assumed the role of savior and deliverer, offering “solutions” contrary to the values of most African people, she explains in the book.

A vivacious international pro-life advocate, Ekeocha, who is Nigerian by birth and is now based in the U.K., began her investigation into this subject back in 2012 when Melinda Gates emerged with a proposal to raise $5 billion to fund contraception in Africa. Ekeocha was outraged and wrote Gates a letter explaining that she, as a Nigerian Catholic, neither needed nor wanted what she was bringing. What the Africans need is a good health care systems, food programs for young children, and better education opportunities, she says.

“If you have dollars, if you hold the…

Episcopal Church Expands Gay Marriage to All Dioceses Where Bishops Object

(Photo: The Episcopal Church/Facebook)

The Episcopal Church’s General Convention, led by Bishop Michael Curry, passed a resolution last Friday that expanded the right for gay couples to marry in all dioceses even where local bishops theologically object to same-sex marriage.

At its triennial convention in Austin, Texas, the Episcopal Church’s House of Bishops and House of Deputies voted to approve resolution B012, allowing gay and lesbian couples to be married by clergy in eight dioceses that had previously not allowed marriage rites for same-sex couples.

As the General Convention had previously voted in 2015 to allow clergy to marry same-sex couples, it also gave bishops who opposed gay marriage the right to forbid priests in their diocese from performing same-sex marriage ceremonies.

Although the new resolution still gives clergy the right to decline gay marriage ceremonies, bishops who oppose of same-sex marriage rites will have to call on another bishop who does not oppose to provide pastoral support for the couple and the clergy member that will be involved in the ceremony.

The move directly impacts dioceses in Albany, New York; Central Florida; Dallas; Florida; North Dakota; Springfield, Illinois; Tennessee and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The new policy will go into effect…

Orange Walk cancelled in wake of priest attack

Canon Tom White had been speaking to parishioners outside St Alphonsus Church in Glasgow on July 7 when he was spat on twice before being lunged at by a man with a baton.

Police are investigating the hate crime which is believed to have been committed by someone following the parade rather than taking part in it.

The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland condemned “the bigoted actions of those involved” and met with council officials this week amid calls to reroute future parades.

It has now been agreed a walk scheduled for Saturday will no longer go ahead.

A statement from the Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland said: “We welcome the opportunity to continue positive dialogue with Glasgow City Council, the police, and other stakeholders regarding future parades.

“We should be looking forward, not back, and our lodges today therefore took the decision to postpone the above parade due to take place this Saturday, therefore allowing some additional time over those discussions which would give everyone the opportunity to look at matters from a fresh, forward thinking perspective.

“The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland fully supports this decision.”

A council spokesman said: “Council officers have had a productive meeting with the organisers. We will continue to engage with both the organisers and the church community – but have agreed that the planned procession will not take…

Highpoint Pastor Chris Conlee Has Emotional Farewell; Church Leaders Ask Forgiveness for ‘Mistakes’

(Photo: Facebook)Highpoint Church Memphis founder Chris Conlee.

Pastor Chris Conlee had an emotional final Sunday at Highpoint Church, just days after he announced his resignation from the church he founded following the sex abuse scandal of former teaching pastor Andy Savage.

“It’s hard to put into words what you want to say on a day like today,” Conlee said from the stage, as he stood with his wife, Karin, according to a recording posted on Facebook

“As we thought about what we want to say to you, the first thing that came to our mind is that we love you,” he said emotionally to applause from the Memphis congregation.

With no mention of the scandal, Conlee and the trustees chose to focus on the high points of the 16-year-old ministry overall though they admitted it was a difficult day.

Highpoint trustee Erick Martin said ahead of Conlee’s farewell, “I’m coming to you on this stage from a place of hurting. It’s a difficult day for me. My wife and I have been plugged in at Highpoint Church and called this church family since 2005.”

“You may be confused. You may be frustrated. A lot of us have sadness and you may be angry. We are not perfect … we’ve made mistakes. As a church we’ve made mistakes. With the best of intentions we are making mistakes right now we don’t…

He prostrates himself on top of Mr Biftu’s lifeless body and repeatedly yells ‘Belay, wake up!’ – but his efforts proved unsuccessful.

Furious relatives began attacking health worker Ayele, while others fainted after witnessing his crude failed resurrection.

Churches retaliate after being ordered to replace crosses with image of Chinese President

According to Christian charity China Aid, Xinyu, a city with more than 100 churches, received an announcement from government authorities to take down their crosses.

While some churches have obeyed the government, China Aid said other churches refused to follow the order which triggered government agents storming into churches to take crosses down.

Two officials interrupted a village worship service at Kaixuan Church on Sunday.

Liu, who is in charge of the church said: “They want to tear down the cross.

“I made it clear to them that the cross must not be dismantled. They said they didn’t mean this and asked again whether or not we could hang the national flag. Now, they have conceded.”

Another branch of the church located in downtown Xinyu had been asked to demolish their church, but after the members negotiated, the authorities made concessions.

“The church unanimously opposed the cross dismantling,” Liu said.

“They asked the religious affairs bureau ‘By which law do you dismantle our cross? Law enforcement should be carried out in accordance with legal procedures.’ “

Elevated Blood Pressure May Be Connected to Alzheimer’s Disease: Study

(Photo: Unsplash/rawpixel)A person is shown having their blood pressure taken.

A new study has uncovered a possible link between elevated blood pressure and a person having brain damage or even Alzheimer’s disease.

The study’s author, Dr. Zoe Arvanitakis of the Rush Alzheimer’s disease Center at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, said, “Blood pressure changes with aging and disease, so we wanted to see what kind of impact it may have on the brain,” EurekAlert reported.

In order to obtain the data needed for the study, the researchers followed 1,288 people and monitored their health until their eventual deaths.

Participants in the study, all 65 and older, were not suffering from dementia and had agreed to donate their brains for autopsy upon death at the start of the study. Among the 1,288 participants in the study were approximately 640 clergy members, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The average age at death of the participants was 89.

Blood pressure was documented on a yearly basis for the participants while they were still alive.

Upon conducting the autopsies, researchers observed that around half of the participants had dead tissue in their brain. The presence of dead tissue in the brain could be a sign that a person suffered from what is known as a “silent stroke.”

Participants who had high blood…
