In January 2018, Chip Gaines shared a HUGE secret with all of his Twitter followers. In typical Chip style, he humorously revealed how a romantic evening left him and Joanna expecting another blessing from the Lord — baby #5.

Since then, everyone’s been eagerly counting down. And that includes all four of the Gaines’ siblings — Ella (11), Duke (9), Emmie Kay (8), and Drake (13)!

From wondering how Joanna would decorate the nursery to trying to guess #5’s gender and potential name, fans have pined the months away speculating on all things related to Chip and Joanna Gaines’ baby.

Nearly three in 10 Christians have shared their faith with non-believing friends and acquaintances on social media, according to a report by the Barna Group.

As part of a new report released with Lutheran Hour Ministries, Barna surveyed American adults to gauge how they discuss faith online.

Their research found that 28 percent of Christian respondents reported sharing their faith with nonbelievers on social media, as well as 58 percent of non-Christian respondents reporting that someone shared their faith with them on social media.

“Through posts, comments and profiles, many Christians believe that technology and digital interactions have made evangelism easier,” noted Barna in a statement released Tuesday.

“Still, spiritual conversations are fraught in a digital age, and younger generations are among the most cautious about engaging.”

Data for the report was drawn from a sample of 1,714 adults in the United States, conducted online between June 22–July 13, 2017, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percent.

Rodrigo Duterte, the president of the Philippines, is stirring up controversy for speaking out against God and even calling Him “stupid.”

Slate.com reports that. In a speech last Friday, Duterte questioned the truth of the Bible and said “Who is this stupid God? This son of a b**** is then really stupid. How can you rationalize a God? Do you believe?”

Duterte quckly received pushback and criticism for his harsh comments, especially from religious leaders in the Philippines, which is Asia’s largest Catholic nation.

Catholic bishop Arturo Bastes responded to Duterte’s comments by stating, “Duterte’s tirade against God and the Bible reveals again that he is a psychological freak, a psychopath, an abnormal mind who should have not been elected as president of our civilized and Christian nation.”

Leaders of Protestant churches also condemned Duterte’s comments. The Philippine Council for Evangelical Churches demanded that Duterte “refrain from issuing insulting statements against the Christian faith.”

In addition to his comments against God, Duterte also cursed the Pope, the European Union, and the United Nations, according to The Telegraph.

A 20-year-old student from a Christian college wowed the judges on NBC’s America’s Got Talent Tuesday night … and also survived a few awkward questions about dating and kissing.

Joseph O’Brien, a student at Boyce College in Louisville, Ky., played the keyboard while singing a rendition of “Hello” by Lionel Richie. O’Brien originally is from Columbia, Tenn.

When done, O’Brien received a standing ovation from the crowd.

“There’s so much potential of where you could go with your vocals … and I absolutely adore you,” judge Mel B. told him.

Another judge, Howie Mandel, said he sensed O’Brien was nervous but believed he could go far in the show.

All four judges voted “yes” on his act, meaning he advanced to the next round.

“I absolutely loved it,” judge Heidi Klum said.

O’Brien’s Facebook page says: “My goal is to write music that is centered around Scripture and inspires a generation to stand up for Jesus Christ!” His father, Michael O’Brien, is a former member of the group NewSong.

Denny Burk, professor of biblical studies at Boyce College, said he, too, was impressed. O’Brien is one of his students. Boyce is a school of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
