Little Girl Has Amazing Reaction Every Time Father Says ‘Hallelujah’


It says in Scripture that “From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise” (Matt. 21:16). That certainly proved true in the case of a precious little girl from Houston, Texas.


The little girl’s father, Christopher Julian, posted an endearing video to YouTube showing his daughter Yahtai’s reaction to hearing him say the word “Hallelujah.”


The video shows Julian bouncing a happy Yahtai on his lap, but “Every time I say ‘Hallelujah,” she jumps on my chest,” Julian says. He goes on to say that his wife says Yahtai has this dramatic reaction to hearing the word “Hallelujah” because she has a reverence for the Lord.


“We worship every night, so she gets serious about it,” Julian further explains. “Hallelujah, glory to God,” he says again, smiling.


According to Faithwire.com, the Julians first discovered Yahtai’s reaction to the word during a time of Bible study. 


This certainly speaks to the fact that children are able to learn about God at a very young age. Hopefully more families will follow the example of the Julian family.

Christian author and speaker Joyce Meyer has opened up about the day her father admitted that he sexually abused her for years when she was young, and asked for forgiveness and accepted Jesus Christ.

“If we love the way God loves, that means that we’re going to love when there’s nothing in it for us. When it’s just giving out. I know it will win people to Christ, including some of the hardest people you can imagine,” Meyer said in a sermon posted on her Facebook page on Monday.

“My dad sexually abused me for many years. My mother knew what was happening, she just was a very fearful woman who didn’t know [how] to deal with him, and so just let it happen,” she told the audience, recounting her story of abuse that she frequently shares. 

“Later on, many years later, after I thought I had totally forgiven [them], God put it in my heart that I needed to buy them a better house to live in, and take really good care of them until they died,” she continued.

The evangelist explained that was the “last thing” she wanted to do, and wrestled with God, asking Him what her parents had ever done for her, given the history of sexual abuse.

A “true American hero”: The faith of the Southwest Airlines pilot

Tammie Jo Shults is now famous as the pilot who landed Flight 1380 after an engine exploded in the air. She guided the plane down after a twenty-thousand-foot drop in six minutes, then walked down the aisle hugging passengers. Passengers described her as having “nerves of steel” and being a “true American hero.”

What you may not know is that she is also a committed Christian.

Shults has led the children’s worship program at First Baptist Church of Boerne, Texas. She has also taught Sunday school for children, middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults. According to Staci Thompson, a longtime friend and church staff member, the congregation was “impressed” but not “shocked” at Shults’s heroics.

Her courage under fire comes from her training: three decades ago, Shults became one of the first female fighter pilots in the US military. But even more, it comes from her Lord. Thompson says her friend “wants people to know that God was there with her” on Flight 1380 and “that he helped her in getting control of that plane and landing that plane.”

“It was because of him, not her,” Thompson said. “She was just a teammate and a co-captain. He was the captain.” God’s grace was the source of her strength.

Tower Hamlets Council in east London said the story was inaccurate and the Independent Press Standards Organisation (Ipso) upheld its complaint.

The Times trailed the ruling on its front page and published it in full on page two.

In a series of articles about the case, the newspaper alleged that the Christian girl’s foster carers stopped her eating bacon, confused her by speaking Arabic and took away her crucifix necklace.

Tower Hamlets complained about the third article, published on 30th August 2017, which said the child was “removed from her Muslim foster parents yesterday and reunited with her family as a judge urged councils to seek ‘culturally matched placements’ for vulnerable children”.

The council said it had “actively sought” to place the child with her grandmother, who was from a Muslim background.

In its ruling, the watchdog said: “Ipso’s complaints committee found that the article gave the impression that the judge had found that the placement was a ‘failure’ by the council; and that this was why she was ‘removing’ the child from her current foster carers, and placing the child with the grandmother.

“The committee ruled that this was a distortion. The complainant had been in the process of assessing the grandmother, and, when those assessments were complete, it applied to the court for the child to be placed with her.

Arguably, no other crime forces Americans to confront the reality of evil than when a gunman murders school children. Yet some of the reasons why horrific incidents happen are seldom discussed.

Whenever mass shootings occur in the United States, the political discourse and public conversation often centers on how lawmakers might further regulate firearms.

Yet other factors that are not spoken of nearly as much are worth considering, according to a Pentecostal theologian and a mental health counselor of 31 years, both of whom spoke with The Christian Post about some of the factors involved in mass shootings.

To examine the issue from a theological and spiritual perspective, CP talked with Wave Nunnally, a professor of early Judaism and Christian origins at Evangel University, an Assemblies of God school in Springfield, Missouri.

He explained that many Christians have in some ways failed to understand the spiritual dimension of evil, particularly grasping the interplay between the natural world and the spirit realm. And this is more than relevant when thinking about mass shootings, he said.

Nigeria’s president condemns church attack which leaves 16 dead

Officers report that people armed with guns targeted a congregation in Benue State – an area plagued in recent years by clashes between mobile herdsmen and settled farmers, often over land use.

The latest incident struck St Ignatius’ Catholic Church in the village of Ayar Mbalom, Gwer East. According to a police official quoted by Reuters news agency, it happened at around 6am local time on Tuesday.

 

Responding on social media to the attack, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari tweeted: “I extend my sincere condolences to the Government and people of Benue State, the Mbalom community, and especially the Bishop, priests & members of the St Ignatius’ Catholic Church, whose premises was the unfortunate venue of the heinous killings of worshippers & two priests by gunmen.”

Hundreds of people have died in violence in Benue and across the so-called Middle Belt of Nigeria so far this year – with disputes over grazing rights and access to fertile land fuelling tensions.

 

Both herdsmen – who are mainly Muslim and from the Fulani ethnic group – and the settled farmers – who are predominantly Christian – have carried out attacks.

Pledging to ensure the perpetrators of Tuesday’s attack are “brought to justice”, President Buhari added: “This latest assault on innocent persons is particularly despicable.
