Kenneth & Gloria Copeland Devotional 22 April 2018 – He Really Does Care for You

Topic: He Really Does Care for You [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Sunday April 22, 2018]

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you – 1 Peter 5:7

Do you know what it’s like to face a problem so big it seems downright irresponsible not to worry about it? There may not be a thing you can do about it, but you feel like you need to at least be concerned. After all, someone needs to! And no one else seems to be volunteering for the job.

I remember one time in particular I felt exactly that way. I was holding a series of meetings in Ruston, Louisiana. I had just discovered our budget was $900 short—and in those days, $900 might as well have been $9 million! The devil was attacking my mind, telling me that no one cared about me or my ministry, telling me that I was facing this problem alone.

But instead of giving in to those thoughts, I got my Bible and turned to every scripture in the Word of God that guaranteed me my needs were met. Then I rolled the care of those expenses over on God. I promised God that with the Holy Spirit as my helper, I would not touch that problem with my thought life again.

That wasn’t an easy promise to keep. I wanted to worry so badly! I went into the courtyard of the motel where I was staying and walked around the swimming pool. Every time I thought about the problem, I would say out loud, “No, I have rolled the care of that over on the Lord. I will not think about it. The budget is met.”

After a while, a man drove up in the driveway and began to honk his horn. I tried to ignore him because I don’t like to be interrupted when I’m praying, but he stuck his head out of the window and shouted, “Come here!” He said it with such authority that I obeyed.

He said to me, “Brother Copeland, I’m sorry to disturb you, but I’m committed to another obligation and will be late for the meeting tonight. I was afraid I would miss the offering.” Then he handed me a check. When I went back to my room and looked at that check, I found it was for $500. Coupled with the offering in the service that night, it totaled the exact amount I needed to meet that budget.

Would you like to have people chasing you down to meet your needs? Then next time you’re facing a problem, give it to God. Let Him be the One who’s concerned about it. He’s volunteered for the job and you can trust Him to do it well. After all, He really does care for you.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 37:1-11

TREM Devotional 22 April 2018 by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – You Are About To Change Location

Topic: You Are About To Change Location [TREM’s Devotional Sunday April 22, 2018]

“And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.” – Exodus 3:17 KJV

God said, “I am going to bring you out”. He will bring you out because of covenant. He will bring you out so that you can serve Him. Even when the adversary resists you, don’t panic, God is in total control. Examine the scripture once more. In Exodus 3:19, God gave His people inside information, when He declared, “And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no not by a mighty hand”. Did you see that?

Imagine that even though God had issued an instruction concerning their deliverance, He still went on to tell them that it was not going to happen easily; not because He is not the Almighty, or that anyone can withstand His power, but because He was setting up Pharaoh and Egypt for destruction. Listen, God is setting things up for your deliverance. Whatever bondage the adversary has used to cause stagnation in your life, get ready because God is going to flex His muscles against the works of darkness. God said, “I will stretch out my hand and will strike Egypt with all the wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that, he will let you go”.

What God was saying in effect, was that He would do what He had never done before. Such that by the time He was through, the adversary would have no choice but to let the Israelites go. I declare over your life that, whether the enemy likes it or not, this year, you are marching forward. Your vision shall be fulfilled. Pack your bag and brush yourself up, get ready, your deliverance is here. A change is about to take place.

God is not unrighteous. Your tomorrow is greater than your today! Prepare for where you are going. Go and learn how to drive. Learn how to feed babies because it will certainly happen. The fact that you have been resisted before now, cannot alter that which God has already perfected. Choose to believe in what God is saying, and see your miracle manifest.

Memorise: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.1 John 5:13

Read: John 3:14-18 (KJV)

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Bible In One Year: 2 Samuel 4-6, Luke 18:18-43

MESSAGE:

According to our Bible reading today, the key to eternal life is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. And what does it mean to believe? To believe means to accept or regard something or someone as true, or to accept the truth of what is said by someone or about someone. To believe in Jesus Christ means accepting that everything He says and does is the truth. It also involves accepting Him as the Way, the Truth and the Life, and believing that it is only through Him that man can get to God. Believing that Jesus Christ is the Way means accepting the fact that there is no other way to God except through Him. Believing that Jesus Christ is the Truth means accepting that everything He does and says is the absolute truth. Believing that Jesus Christ is the life means accepting that eternal life can only be given by Him.

Anyone who does not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is condemned and will definitely perish, because accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour means accepting the Eternal Life into your heart. And if you have the Eternal Life living in you, then you will not perish but have everlasting life!

Action Point: If you haven’t accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart, it means that you don’t believe in Him and so you do not have access to eternal life.

Hymn 1:

1. My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Saviour divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!

2. May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm, and changeless be,
A living fire !

3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.

4. When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold, sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Saviour, then in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul!

Seeds of Destiny 22 April 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Living To Change Lives For God

Topic: Living To Change Lives For God [Seeds of Destiny Sunday April 22, 2018]

Scripture: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16.

Thought For The Day: Every child of God is created and called by God to be productive and reproductive.

Human life is designed by God to be productive and reproductive. Our anchor Scripture clearly makes us understand that every child of God is created and called by God to be productive and reproductive in life. Beloved, you are created to live and change lives for God.

Now, what does it mean to live a life that changes people?

1. Living to bear fruits for the Kingdom of God
It is living a life that affects the eternal destinies of men. It means influencing people with your life so they will not end in hellfire. It is living to transfer people from the prospect of eternity in hell to the possibility of eternity in heaven. You live to change the destination of people from eternal destruction and damnation in hell to eternal rest in heaven.

Beloved, your Christianity is not authentic until someone follows you to church and is redirected to heaven because of you. It is not possible for the life of Christ to be in you and you do not sacrifice for others to come and know God.
2. Living to make massive spiritual deposits in the lives of people
This is making eternal impact on the souls of men. When you are committed to living like this, you are not living a static or stagnant life.

My counsel is, surrender your life as a seed so that fruits can come out of you; make eternal impacts on the lives of men.

Remember this: Every child of God is created and called by God to be productive and reproductive.

Assignments:
1. Decide to impact lives by winning at least one soul a week.
2. Decide to make eternal deposit in the life of anyone who comes in contact with you.

Prayer: O Lord, I receive the grace to reproduce my kind. Help me Lord, to be fruitful and win souls for You, in Jesus’ Name.

Thousands Sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Queen Elizabeth II at Royal Albert Hall

The audience at Royal Albert Hall got a rare treat Saturday — the chance to sing “Happy Birthday” to the longest reigning monarch in British history.

Queen Elizabeth II, with her eldest son Prince Charles at her side, waved to the crowd as they celebrated her 92nd birthday in song.

Charles got an enthusiastic response when he introduced her as: “Your majesty, mummy.”

The queen took center stage after a varied pop concert featuring British singers Sting, Tom Jones and Jamie Cullum along with Australian star Kylie Minogue, long a fan favorite here.

Shaggy and Craig David also performed, and the festivities took a long stroll down memory lane, with audio from a speech Elizabeth made on her 21st birthday and video from her Golden Jubilee, when roughly 1 million people gathered outside Buckingham Palace to honor her.

She was flanked in the royal box by Charles, heir to the throne, and Prince William, next in the line of succession.

Prince Harry and fiancee Meghan Markle also attended, generating a roar of applause when they took their seats. The couple will wed May 19 at Windsor Castle.

Prince William’s wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, did not attend. She is expecting the couple’s third child.

The queen’s husband, Prince Philip, was also missing. He is recovering from hip replacement surgery.

The show featured contemporary tunes, but included songs from earlier eras, including selections from “My Fair Lady” — one of the queen’s favorites — and a sentimental rendering of “Wonderful World.”

Earlier in the day, honorary gun salutes were staged at Hyde Park,…

Our Daily Bread (ODB) Devotional 22 April 2018 – God in the Details

Topic: God in the Details [Our Daily Bread 22 Sunday April, 2018]

Read: Matthew 10:29–31, Bible in a Year: 2 Samuel 14–15; Luke 17:1–19

The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. Psalm 145:9

When my “chocolate” Labrador retriever puppy was three months old, I took him to the veterinarian’s office for his shots and checkup. As our vet carefully looked him over, she noticed a small white marking in his fur on his left hind paw. She smiled and said to him, “That’s where God held you when He dipped you in chocolate.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. But she had unintentionally made a meaningful point about the deep and personal interest God takes in His creation.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:30 that “even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” God is so great that He is able to take infinite interest in the most intimate details of our lives. There is nothing so small that it escapes His notice, and there is no concern too trivial to bring before Him. He simply cares that much.

God not only created us; He sustains and keeps us through every moment. It’s sometimes said that “the devil is in the details.” But it’s better by far to understand that God is in them, watching over even the things that escape our notice. How comforting it is to know that our perfectly wise and caring heavenly Father holds us—along with all of creation—in His strong and loving hands.

Prayer: Loving Lord, I praise You for the wonder of Your creation. Help me to reflect Your compassion by taking care of what You’ve made.

God attends to our every need.

Insight:

When Jesus sent out His disciples He assured them God was aware of their circumstances and would be watching over them. Jesus asked us to consider the sparrows, which are of such little value “yet not one of them is forgotten by God” (Luke 12:6). We are greatly comforted that “the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). God is interested in every detail of our lives (Psalm 139:1–4) and knows what we need even before we ask Him (Matthew 6:8). We can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, knowing He will help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

How does knowing that God already knows what you need help you as you pray? K. T. Sim

Billy Graham Devotional 22 April 2018 – The Promises of God

Topic: The Promises of God [Billy Graham’s Devotional Sunday April 22, 2018]

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. — Philippians 4:6 (TLB)

Historians will probably call our era “the age of anxiety.” Anxiety is the natural result when our hopes are centered in anything short of God and His will for us. When we make anything else our goal, frustration and defeat are inevitable. Though we have less to worry about than previous generations, we have more worry. Though we have it easier than our forefathers, we have more uneasiness. Though we have less real cause for anxiety than our predecessors, we are inwardly more anxious. Calloused hands were the badge of the pioneer, but a furrowed brow is the insignia of modern man.

God has never promised to remove all our troubles, problems, and difficulties. In fact, sometimes I think the truly committed Christian is in conflict with the society around him more than any other person. Society is going in one direction, and the Christian is going in the opposite direction. This brings about friction and conflict. But God has promised, in the midst of trouble and conflict, a genuine peace, a sense of assurance and security, that the worldly person never knows.

Prayer for the day: Lord Jesus, teach me to keep my eyes centered on You rather than on myself and my anxieties. Help me to allow You to give me peace of heart and mind today.

Interfaith Coalition to End Genocide in Burma Brings Attention to Rohingya Crisis

Christian, Jewish and Muslim activists recently traveled to Bangladesh and spoke with dozens of the Rohingya Muslim refugees who were among the estimated 700,000 who fled genocidal violence committed by the Myanmar government last year and are now sharing the horrors that innocent families have faced.

Sixteen members of the recently founded Interfaith Coalition to End Genocide in Burma (also known as Myanmar) took part in the multi-day trip to learn more about the dire situation and spread awareness within their spheres of influence in the United States.

The United Nations estimates that over 670,000 Rohingya refugees have fled to Bangladesh from the Rakhine state since August 2017, when Burmese military forces attacked and destroyed their jungle villages, killed thousands of men and babies and systematically gang-raped the women.

Muslim imam Malik Mujahid, one of the coalition’s organizers, told The Christian Post on Thursday that there are still as many as 500 to 600 Rohingya refugees per week who are making their way to Bangladeshi refugee camps in the border town of Cox’s Bazar.

Although the refugees are living in small huts held up by thin strips of bamboo, have to bathe in water pumps, and have a lack of access to jobs, money, education and medicine, they, at the very least, feel safe in their new temporary living situations.

“I asked people multiple times why they came,” Mujahid said, adding that he and the coalition members spoke with over 60 refugees at five different camps.

“They said, ‘Well, they shot us.’ In some cases, the village chair told them to…
