Topic: Post-Resurrection Manifestation [Seeds of Destiny Monday April 2, 2018]

Scripture: But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. John 20:11-12.

Thought For The Day: Your revelation is directly proportional to your desperation.

In our study yesterday, we looked at the significance of Easter; we saw that Life is stronger than death and that light is stronger than darkness.

Today, being the first day after Easter, we shall look at a Post Resurrection manifestation of Jesus Christ.

The Scripture makes it clear that Mary was the first person to discover Jesus’ Resurrection; she went to the tomb early in the morning on the third day after Jesus’ Death and discovered an empty tomb. So, she ran to tell the disciples. The two disciples (Peter and the other disciple) ran to the tomb and saw linen cloths lying and a napkin and were convinced that Jesus had resurrected and then, they returned home.

But Mary refused to go home. She remained at the tomb and began to cry passionately. Later on she saw two Angels and then, Jesus appeared to her. Excitedly, she rushed to touch Jesus but He said, ‘Do not touch me yet, Mary. I was heading to the Heavenly Holies of Holies to offer my Blood for the atonement of the sins of humanity but your passion pulled me back. I have to go to my Father first. Go and tell my brethren that I have resurrected.’ (Mathew 28:10 Paraphrased). The two disciples missed the revelations of both the angels and Jesus because they were not desperate enough; they were satisfied with seeing just the napkin and linen cloths as evidence that Jesus had actually resurrected.

Beloved, your revelation is directly proportional to your desperation; your level of desperation determines your depth of revelation. The intensity of your passion determines the depth of your revelation. There are many things around us in life that we cannot see because of lack of passion. Some people think that God is partial by showing things to some people while others can see nothing. The truth is, God is never partial. God has no favourites; He only has intimates.

I decree the opening of your eyes as you deepen your desperation for God in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Your revelation is directly proportional to your desperation.

1. Carefully study the Book of John 20:1-20.
2. Decide to heighten your passion and desperation for God in order to increase your depth of revelation in life.

Prayer: O LORD, I ask for the grace for a die-less passion for You; Open my eyes to see You, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Back To Life [DCLM Daily Manna Monday April 2, 2018]

Text: 1 Kings 17:17-24 (KJV)

Key Verse: “And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived” (1 Kings 17:22).

MESSAGE:

One June 30, 2009, Bahia Bakari, a French teenager, was involved in a plane crash. The plane, flight 626, had on board 152 passengers when it crashed into the Indian Ocean. The Girl had been tossed free off the plane when it blew apart. Bakari did not know how to swim. In the dark, she managed to make it to a piece of floating debris and clung to it. She then tried to paddle to where she thought she had other survivors, but never found them. All but Bakari died in the mishap. Bakari floated on the debris for about 13 hours, tossed to and fro by the ocean waves. It was a local fisherman named Maturaffi Libounah, who just passing by, that saw her floating, jumped into the water and rescued the already fainted Bakari. She was later reunited with her family.

Our text tells a story of a widow, who had only one son. The son suddenly took ill and died. The parents of the boy, perhaps, had great hopes and a well planned future for him, but his journey was terminated at his early age. But for the intervention and intercession of Elijah, the man of God, the life, hope and future of the boy would have also terminated abruptly.

What has nature or fate suddenly and rudely hijacked from you or from a loved one? Is it good life, a promising future, peaceful home, a good job, intimate relationship with God and sound health? The tides can turn! Yes, through effectual intercessory prayer, cords that were broken will vibrate once more! Intercessory prayer has the power to bring back to life, still ill wind and adversity, restore peace into a troubled life and change fatalistic destiny and destination. Intercessory prayers are potent enough to obliterate all challenges on our paths.

Thought For The Day: It is never over until God says it.

Basic Scripture: Matthew 14: 25-32

In this journey of life, one of the things you can count on is the enemy of your testimony called fear will come and attempt to seize control of your VEHICLE (that is, your heart). If fear knocked on the door of Peter’s heart while he was walking on the sea, you can be sure it can knock on your door too.

Hear what the spirit is saying to a user of today’s devotional: DON’T SURRENDER TO FEAR! Over and over, the Bible insists, “Fear not.” Instead of surrendering to fear, surrender your fears to God! Yes, surrender your fear to the Word of God and the Word of God paralyze them. In first Samuel 17, Goliath was a voice of fear to the children of Israel, and that voice took control of their destiny until the little boy David showed up.

That little boy called “DAVID” was the person who disgrace to the dreaded GOLLIATH! I am sent to announce to you today: THERE IS A “DAVID” (courage and boldness) IN YOU! AWKE IT! No wonder a Japanese proverb says: “Fear is only as deep as the mind allows.” I remember William Allen White: “I am not afraid of yesterday and I love today.” Don’t fear tomorrow! That should be your attitude!

Eleanor Roosevelt hit the nail on the head: “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do. ” That was the secret of David! HE LOOKED AT FEAR IN THE FACE! Oh! Confront your fears! I pray that, “THE LITTLE DAVID IN YOU” will rise up big today, to con4front every GOLIATH of your destiny!

FEAR IS A SINKER! Unlike Peter who began to SINK due to FEAR, refuse to hand over your life to fear because, FOR EVERY GOLIATH, THERE IS A DAVID! This is your year and your quarter! Get up. Trust God and face the future with boldness! You will win! Look up! Hold on!

Prayer Points: Take any song f worship as led now.

1. In your own words, pray over today’s word as led now.
2. Sprit of fear, I break your hold over and over my mind today! You will not derail my journey! You will not my testimony in Jesus name.
3. There is a DAVID in me! I speak fresh life to my faith now. My faith is waxing stronger and stronger, day by day. I am courageous and bold in Jesus name.
4. All you demonic hijackers of destiny that have been assigned to my life, family and ministry, GO BLIND NOW AND BE PARALYZE BY THE FIRE OF THE HOLY GHOST NOW in Jesus name (Pray seriously). Pray about today as led now!

Topic: Anonymous Kindness [Our Daily Bread 2 Monday April, 2018]

Read: Matthew 6:1–4, Bible in a Year: Judges 16–18; Luke 7:1–30

When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Matthew 6:3

When I first graduated from college, I found myself needing to adopt a strict grocery budget—twenty-five dollars a week, to be exact. One day, while entering the checkout line, I suspected the groceries I’d selected cost slightly more than my remaining money. “Just stop when we reach twenty dollars,” I told the cashier, and I was able to purchase everything I’d selected but a bag of peppers.

As I was about to drive home, a man stopped by my car. “Here’s your peppers, ma’am,” he said, handing the bag to me. Before I had time to thank him, he was already walking away.

Remembering the simple goodness of this act of kindness still warms my heart and brings to mind Jesus’s words in Matthew 6. Criticizing those who made a show of giving to the needy (v. 2), Jesus taught His disciples a different way. Instead of making giving all about them and their generosity, He urged that giving should be done so secretly it’s like their left hand isn’t even aware their right is giving (v. 3)!

As one person’s anonymous kindness reminded me, giving should never be about us. We give only because of what our generous God has so lavishly given us (2 Corinthians 9:6–11). As we give quietly and generously, we reflect who He is—and God receives the thanksgiving only He deserves (v. 11).

Giving quietly and generously reflects God’s generosity.

Insight: Today’s article describes acts of giving motivated by humility and kindness. There is no greater example of kindness and generosity than our God. Paul wrote that God’s kindness was at the heart of our rescue: “But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us” (Titus 3:4–5). Peter challenged to spiritual growth those who had “tasted the kindness of the Lord” (1 Peter 2:3 NASB). And Paul wrote to the Romans: “Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?” (Romans 2:4 NASB). Paul made it clear that God’s kindness is behind the call to repent—to change our minds about our sin and our need of God’s forgiveness. When we are generous to others, we model the generosity and kindness our loving God has shown to us. Bill Crowder

Topic: Just Words [Andrew Wommack Monday April 2, 2018]

Matthew 12:37, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Text: Matthew 12:34-37

God created the heavens and the earth and everything that is in the earth by His words (Heb. 11:3). The whole creation was made by, and responds to, words. Our words, when spoken in faith, release either life or death (Prov. 18:21) and will affect people, things, and circumstances. We can release the power that is in faith by our words.

Every word counts. There is no such things as an “idle” word which will not work for us or against us. Our words can be our most powerful weapon against the devil, or they can become a snare of the devil (Prov. 6:2). Faith-filled words can move mountains.

The faith that made Jesus marvel was a faith in the authority of the spoken word (Mt. 8:8, 10). We are to believe in the power of our words. If we begin to speak words in faith that line up with God’s Word, then we will have the positive results that follow. But if we continue to speak words of doubt, we will eventually believe them and have the negative things that these words produce. Death or life are in the power of every word we speak.

Faith is released by speaking words. Jesus encouraged us to speak to mountains or to whatever our problem might be. Most people speak to God about their problem, but few follow Jesus’ instructions and speak directly to the “mountain.” God has put certain things under our authority and we must exercise it. When a problem stands in our way, we must speak to the problem and command it to get out of our way in the name of Jesus. Speak God’s Word today. His Words will produce life.

Topic: Use Your Mind [Billy Graham’s Daily Monday April 2, 2018]

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind . . . — Mark 12:30

Christ touches every area of our lives. He touches our minds and we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. God invites people to use their minds, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 1:18). We are told in Scripture not to be like the horse or mule, “which have no understanding” (Psalm 32:9). Christ declared that we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind. We are told to fear God, to love Christ, and to hate sin. Fear, love, and hate are emotions. Dr. Leslie Weatherhead, preaching at the City Temple in London, said, “What is wrong with emotion? Christianity is falling in love with Christ. Has anyone ever fallen in love without emotion?”

Prayer for the day: May my love for You embrace my whole being, Lord Jesus. Teach me true love.
