It was Billy Graham’s last crusade.

Under a large white tent evoking her father’s “Canvas Cathedral” revival nearly seven decades ago, Anne Graham Lotz urged the Church, the world, and herself to “wake up!” as she joined her siblings and some 2,000 others at the funeral of her iconic evangelist father, Billy Graham, in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Friday.

“I believe, from Heaven’s perspective, that my father’s death is as significant as his life. And his life was very significant. But I think when he died, that was something very strategic from Heaven’s point of view,” Lotz said about her father’s passing.

The world-renowned evangelist is credited with inspiring more than 3 million people to commit their lives to Christ in a ministry that spanned 185 of the world’s 195 countries, according to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Like a modern-day Moses, Lotz said her father brought liberation to people through the Gospel and she sincerely believes her father’s death on Feb. 21 at the age of 99 “is a shot across the bow from Heaven.”

Sam Adeyemi, a world-renowned prosperity preacher based in Nigeria, who previously taught that tithing was a requirement for Christians to allow God’s blessings to flourish in their lives, stunned followers and critics in a recent message when he declared the requirement had expired because Jesus freed them from the practice.

Washington state could legalize commercial surrogacy, where the surrogate mother is compensated beyond medical expenses.

According to The Christian Post, children’s rights advocates say the proposal is “selling” babies.

Wednesday morning, the Washington state House of Representative passed the “Uniform Parentage Act.” House Democrats voted in favor of the act. Every Republican member opposed the bill.

“For House Republicans, this bill was a matter of conscience,” said house member Liz Pike, according to Clark County Today.

“We all voted ‘no’ to protect the womb from being monetized and commercialized. This bill sets virtually no limits on the amount people will be able to sell or purchase a human baby for. I’m disgusted that such a bill would ever be considered let alone pass. What have we become as a state, selling human babies to the highest bidder? Is this who we are?”

The bill previously passed in the state Senate.

The act now heads to Democratic governor Jay Inslee, who is expected to sign the legislation.

Katy Faust, the head of children’s rights organization The Before Us testified in hearings against passage of the act.

“When I say that we have established a global marketplace for children, I am not exaggerating. That is exactly what this is,” Faust told The Christian Post.

A nationwide poll has found that American Catholics find several world issues, including climate change, even more pressing than Christian persecution.

The survey, which was conducted in January and released on Thursday by Aid to the Church in Need-USA and McLaughlin & Associates, asked 1,000 U.S. Catholic adults to state how severe they find several global issues.

The poll, which has an accuracy of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points at the 95 percent confidence level, found that 49 percent of respondents are “very concerned” about Christian persecution.

The highest level of concern was reserved for the issue of human trafficking, at 72 percent, followed by poverty at 68, climate change at 55, and the refugee crisis at 51 percent.

In the survey, 40 percent of Catholics said Christian persecution around the world has reached a “very severe” level, while 51 percent said that it was “somewhat severe,” and 10 percent suggested that it was “not severe.”

When it comes to the countries where Christians face the most severe persecution, Catholics said that the top five are North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Pakistan.
