Like many of you, I am deeply saddened to hear news of the death of Billy Graham today. He was a friend, a colleague, and mentor to me, and I will miss him dearly.
When reports of his declining health made headlines recently, I reflected on a trip I took with Nellie Jo to visit with Mr. Graham at his home in Montreat, North Carolina in the fall of 2009. Though it was not my first time to meet with the famed evangelist, this visit seemed especially poignant at the time. Perhaps the poignancy of the moment related to the visit in his home. I had never been to the mountaintop cabin that he and his family called home for so many years.
It was my first visit with Mr. Graham since his beloved Ruth had passed away two years prior. Her photos and keepsakes were visible throughout the home. This visit was certainly different for that reason. Still again, my time with Billy Graham was poignant because he was in his twilight years. He knew it. So did I. Sadly, this would be my last visit with him.
I also knew that when I meet with people like Mr. Graham, there is always an opportunity to learn from them. So in the visit I had with Mr. Graham, I wanted once again to glean from his life, his wisdom, and his experience. My quest was not disappointing. To the contrary, I came away realizing that I had been on the mountaintop in more ways than one.

Steven Furtick, pastor of Elevation Church, and popular radio host Charlamagne Tha God, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, returned to their roots in South Carolina for a very important video discussion on race and religion.
“I thought, ‘We came from the same town and went to the same school and we never even talked to each other,'” Furtick said of the “Breakfast Club” nationally-syndicated host. “I wondered what would happen if we talked.”
The 30-minute interview, titled “Come Out of Corner,” shows the two men from the same neighborhood and different backgrounds visiting several locations, including old homes, schools and churches in their hometown, Moncks Corner.
Furtick posted the video on his Twitter account which shows the two focusing on their small town upbringing leading up to the establishment of their successful careers — one in mainstream media and the other as a megachurch leader.
The video opens up with Furtick and Charlamagne during Thanksgiving of last year, leaving Berkeley High School after a turkey giveaway. Their candid conversation commenced as they drove off in a GMC fully stocked with cameras.

According to Kenyan news website, The Star, the North Eastern Regional Coordinator Mohamud Saleh said a team of multi-agency security agents found the suspect but two more are on the run.
The three suspects were identified as Maalim Yusuf Abdullahi, Daud Ahmed Mohamed and Abdirashid Ibrahim Osman. They were described as Kenyans who were working for the Somali-based terror group by Mohamud Saleh.
The murderers are suspected to be from the group al Shabaab, a Somali rebel group and, according to a survivor, one attacker said: “These infidels should be wiped out”.
Two teachers and one of their partners were killed in the sleeping quarters of Qarsa Primary School in Wajir County at 1am. The victims were Seth Oluoch Odada, his wife Caroline and teacher Kevin Shari.
Seth and Caroline Odada are said to have attended church, it’s not known whether Kevin Shari did.
An unnamed pastor said the couple attended his church and added: “We are very concerned about this selective kind of attack on non-locals who are also Christians in this region,” the pastor said. “Our other church members are not safe.
Many of the church members, including teachers, have started fleeing the area to their home villages, and some did not attend the church for the Sunday service.”

After it was thought that the long-rumored Surface Phone is already dead, recent reports claim that the highly anticipated device will arrive earlier than expected.
While there are rumors claiming that the Surface Phone, otherwise referred to as Andromeda, will arrive later this year or early 2019, an Italian website claims that the long-anticipated device will be launched sooner than what many expected. Although no specific date has been mentioned, it is now believed that the mythical device may finally be dropped in the market sometime in the second half of 2018.
Apart from possibly arriving sometime in the second part of this year, it is also alleged that the Surface Phone will be a foldable device, indeed. After all, several patents that Microsoft applied for and have been awarded for suggest that it will be the case. What is unclear, though, is whether the screen of the device itself will be foldable.
In addition to being foldable, rumors also claim that the Surface Phone will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 as its processor. Reportedly, this processor is very powerful and comes with an efficient CPU and highly impressive graphics processor.

In other news, Switzerland has made it illegal to boil a live lobster. The Swiss say this method of killing lobsters is cruel since the crustaceans can sense pain. Authorities recommend electrocution or sedating the lobster by dipping it into saltwater and then thrusting a knife into its brain.
The new law also gives domestic pets further protections. For instance, dogs can no longer be punished for barking.
Consider that abortion is legal in Switzerland and is covered by the country’s mandatory health insurance. While their abortion rate is less than half that of the US, one in five women in Switzerland will have an abortion at some point in their lives.
Any pregnancy in Switzerland can be aborted before twelve weeks. After this time, a woman can have an abortion if her doctor believes her “physical integrity” is threatened or she will face “profound distress” should the pregnancy be allowed to continue to term.
Neurologists report that at twenty weeks, unborn babies probably feel pain more intensely than adults. Babies born at twenty-one weeks can survive. The good news is that most Americans want abortions to be banned after twenty weeks; the tragic news is that they aren’t.
And in Switzerland, the government has acted in response to the pain of lobsters but has left its abortion laws intact.

Pope Francis has called for a day of prayer and fasting for the nation on 23rd February.
Cathy Hynds, South Sudan’s representative for Catholic international development charity (CAFOD), said aid has helped the country, but there’s still a lot more to do.
“The humanitarian response last year, kept people from the brink of catastrophe; vulnerable families have been supported with the food they urgently needed, which has saved the lives of many,” she said. “However, we enter 2018 with a crippling hunger crisis in previously stable areas of the country.”

A barely disguised rumored new Toyota Supra was spotted in a test drive in the snow.
The Supra is among Toyota’s most beloved car models of all time. In the past months, it has been highly rumored that a successor will be announced at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6.
On Feb. 12, Toyota officially announced that it will revive a race car model. “A modern racing concept signals Toyota’s commitment to bring back to the market its most iconic sports car,” the car company wrote on Twitter. But it did not specify which one.

A series of spy photos, however, are making fans think that it is indeed a Supra.
First revealed in Japan’s “Best Car Magazine,” the 2019 Supra was seen with a design that is a lot similar with that of the Toyota FT-1. Soon after, a prototype of the upcoming car was spotted in spy photos, confirming the design seen in the magazine.
Most recently, a video of the 2019 Supra is seen being driven in the snow, giving a more extensive look into the highly anticipated race car.
