Our Daily Manna December 5, 2017: ODM devotional – His Presence Is More Than The Trouble

Topic: His Presence Is More Than The Trouble [Tuesday, December 5, 2017]

Basic Scripture: Psalm 89: 20-35

A wise man, Max Lerner, one penned: “The turning point in the process of growing up is when you discover the core of strength within you and survives all hurt.” Then Bernard Baruch said: “The drift of kings lies in eliminating the troubles than in growing with them.”

But he was wrong! From today’s Basic Scripture, it is clear that even God does not eliminate or keep us from all problems. He does not open paths for us before we come to them or provide help before help is needed. He neither does nor removes the flood or the fire (obstacles) before we reach them; yet when we are the point of need, HE SHOWS UP AS THE EVER-PRESENT IN TROUBLE. Many forget this truth and they murmur, complain, question God and grow discouraged concerning trusting God. Many wonder why some problems keep lingering despite prayers and fasting. Some even contemplate suicide or they visit extra-powers (negative doors) at night. Oh, that you would know that God would deliver you at a time called “DUE SEASON” in his calendar

He is not a wicked God! Life may not be fair, but God is good! Don’t question  why God allows you to enter into the river or enter into the fire, before He shows up. Why did He allow Daniel to enter into the lions’ den before He showed up? Why were the three Hebrew boys thrown into the fire before He showed up? WHY NOT BEFORE? Why was Peter chained in the prison before the angel showed up? Why are you going through that current trial? Why did God not deliver James from Hero’s sword? The answer is simple: BECAUSE HIS PRESENCE IN LIFE OR DEAT IS MORE NTHE PROBLEM.

That is why you must laugh often! Trust God and never forget that no fire will consume you and no trial will drown you. Yes, each wave of this raging sea is moving you to the place of your destiny. Lift up your hands and start praising the Lord now even as you hold on and hold out!

Plan and prepare to attend the Manna Mountain Lagos for the last 2017 ANOINTING SEVICE on SATURDAY December 9th, 8am-11am  with the theme: “TH E BEST FOR THE LAST: ANOINTING FOR LAST-MINUTE  MIRACLE” and the next day (Dec.10th) for the ANNUAL ODM THAKSGIVING SERVICE!

Seeds of Destiny 5 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Godly Character – A Remedy For Calamity

Topic: Godly Character – A Remedy For Calamity [Tuesday December 5, 2017]

Scripture: He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands. Job 22:30

Thought For The Day: Iniquity is the foundation for calamity; corruption facilitates destruction.

A Godly character is akin to having and maintaining a buoyant conscience devoid of offence towards God and towards man.

Our anchor scripture reveals that Godly character facilitates the deliverance of people from destruction. Pureness of heart and hands is a remedy for infirmity and calamity.

The fact is, truth fuels liberty, innocence facilitates the preservation of the innocent. You may wonder why snakes come around little babies without hurting them even while the babies play with them; it is because snakes know that human babies are innocent and harmless.

You are not in the path of harm if you are not in the path of wrong. That was why for as long as Daniel was innocent, he was not eatable by the lions. (Daniel 6:20-22). Gehazi, Samson and Judas Iscariot on the other hand could not escape generational calamity because of their iniquitous lifestyle.

Beloved, iniquity is the foundation for calamity; corruption facilitates destruction. Compromise sponsors susceptibility to danger. An armed robber can die anytime, a smoker and an alcoholic are prone to all kinds of lung and liver diseases. Prostitutes and immoral people have no future – HIV/AIDS, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Bacterial Vaginosis etc. are their inheritances. The husband snatcher, the backbiter, the cheater, etc. are vulnerable to the calamity of the devil.

I prophesy to you: receive the grace to uphold a Godly character. I decree your escape from every trap set for you by the enemy in this season, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: Iniquity is the foundation for calamity; corruption facilitates destruction.

Assignment(S):

1. Shun the lifestyle of iniquity or corruption

2. Always maintain a conscience that is alive; a conscience devoid of offence both towards God and man

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from a Godless lifestyle, and help me to maintain a conscience that is alive, O Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily December 5, 2017 Devotional: What Riches Were Meant to Do

Topic: What Riches Were Meant to Do [Tuesday December 5, 2017]

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. – Ephesians 4:28

It always amazes me when I preach about prosperity and someone comes up to me and says, “I don’t need much prosperity. I’m a simple person with a simple life. So I just ask God for enough to meet my needs.”

They think that’s humility, but it’s not. It’s selfishness! They don’t realize it, but they’re actually saying, “All I care about is meeting my own needs. I have no ambition to help meet anyone else’s.”

They could ask God for a million dollars, take out just enough to meet their needs, and give the rest away. But that doesn’t even occur to them because when it comes to money, they’ve been brainwashed by a world that says if you have it, you’ve got to keep it.

That philosophy has hindered the ministry of Jesus Christ on the earth today. It has caused preachers to set aside their calling and get secular jobs just to survive. It’s handicapped churches and stunted the growth of ministries that could have reached thousands more for the Lord.

It takes money to preach the gospel. Jesus Himself knew that, and contrary to what some people think, His ministry was not a poor one. He had so much money coming in and going out through His ministry that He had to appoint a treasurer. His name was Judas.

But Jesus didn’t store up that money for Himself. He gave it to meet the needs of those around Him. He had such a reputation for giving that on the night of that last Passover when Judas left so abruptly, the disciples assumed that Jesus had sent him out to give to the poor.

Can you imagine how much and how often Jesus must have given to the poor for the disciples to make that assumption?

Jesus never built a worldly empire for Himself. But that doesn’t mean He was poor. It means He was the greatest giver who ever walked the face of this earth, and it’s time we started following in His footsteps.

Don’t turn down the wealth God wants to give you just because you don’t “need” it. Dare to accept it, then pass it along to those who do. Stop working for a living and start working for a “giving.” Discover for yourself what riches were really meant to do.

TREM’s Daily 5 December 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – He Is The God Of All Flesh

Topic: He Is The God Of All Flesh — Tuesday December 5, 2017.

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV)

There was famine in the land of Israel because there had been no rain. And God spoke to Elijah, in 1 Kings 17, to go hide by the Brook Cherith for He has commanded a raven to feed him with bread and flesh. Naturally, ravens are flesh eaters but when the God of all flesh spoke to the raven to take the flesh to Elijah, the raven obeyed. I decree that no man will take your blessings. Whatever the enemy wants to do to hinder what God has prepared for you is destroyed now.

Child of God, even in the war front God knows how to arm-twist the enemy.  He is the God of all flesh and all flesh obeys Him. In 2 Chronicles 20, when the enemy came up against Jehoshaphat and the people of Israel, God said to Jehoshaphat that the battle was His. All that Jehoshaphat and the people needed to do was to remain still and praise God. When the people began to sing, dance and to praise God, the God of all flesh descended and the whole army that came up against Jehoshaphat began to fight themselves. All that Jehoshaphat and the Israelites did was to gather the blessings.

Beloved, after your challenge, get ready to receive the blessings because you serve the God of all flesh. The blessings of God are coming to you and it will overtake you. No more strandedness! No more embarrassment! You will not see reproach or shame The God of all flesh will fight your battles and give you the victory. Your dream will not be aborted. The desire of the enemy against you will never succeed. You are constantly in my prayers. And today, I pray that the plan and purpose of God for your life shall be made manifest. You shall possess your possessions in Jesus name.

Andrew Wommack’s Daily 5 December 2017 Devotional: Jesus Freed Us From Sin

Topic: Jesus Freed Us From Sin [Tuesday December 5, 2017]

Luke 23:18 “And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:”

What happened to Barabbas is a picture of what happens when a person is born again. Barabbas was guilty; Jesus was innocent. Yet Jesus suffered the death that Barabbas should have experienced, and Barabbas went free.

Likewise, we were all guilty (Rom. 3:23) and condemned to death (Rom. 6:23), yet Jesus suffered our punishment so that we may go free (2 Cor. 5:21). Just as Barabbas didn’t ask for this substitution, so “God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8).

Barabbas was freed, but he had to choose whether or not to accept this new start and remain free, or go back to his old ways and come under the judgment of Rome again. Likewise, we have all been freed through the substitutionary death of Jesus, but we have to choose whether to accept our freedom by putting faith in Jesus or to reject it, by denying Him.

Our death to sin and resurrection to life with Christ, is already a reality in our spirits but will only become a physical reality when we know and believe it. In the same way that Jesus died unto sin once, and death no longer has dominion over Him, the person who recognizes their death with Christ unto sin, will not allow sin to rule over him anymore. Any Christian who is struggling with sin has not recognized that they are dead unto sin.

Billy Graham’s Daily 5 December 2017 Devotional: A Thousand Anxieties

Topic: A Thousand Anxieties [Tuesday December 5, 2017]

I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. — Psalm 34:4

Man has always been beset by worry, and the pressures of modern life have aggravated the problem. To men of all time Jesus said, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow . . . but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33-34). Many of you are filled with a thousand anxieties. Bring them to Jesus Christ by faith. He will bring peace to your soul and your mind.

Prayer for the day: Knowing You hear me, Lord, as I talk with You brings me peace in the midst of any storm.

Our Daily Bread 5 December 2017 Devotional – Jesus Loves Maysel

Our Daily Bread 5 December 2017 Devotional – Jesus Loves Maysel

Topic: Jesus Loves Maysel — Tuesday December 5, 2017.

Read: 1 John 4:7–16, Bible in a Year: Daniel 1–2; 1 John 4

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us. 1 John 4:10

When my sister Maysel was little, she would sing a familiar song in her own way: “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells Maysel.” This irritated me to no end! As one of her older, “wiser” sisters, I knew the words were “me so,” not “Maysel.” Yet she persisted in singing it her way.

Now I think my sister had it right all along. The Bible does indeed tell Maysel, and all of us, that Jesus loves us. Over and over again we read that truth. Take, for example, the writings of the apostle John, “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (John 21:7, 20). He tells us about God’s love in one of the best-known verses of the Bible: John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John reinforces that message of love in 1 John 4:10: “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” Just as John knew Jesus loved him, we too can have that same assurance: Jesus does love us. The Bible tells us so.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the assurance that You love us. We are filled with gratitude that You love us so much that You died for us.

Jesus loves me! This I know.

Insight:

Do you wish you could believe God loves you? Or does the thought seem childish and self-centered?

John, “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (John 13:23), must have heard his Teacher say that only those who become like a little child would enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:2–4). John took those words personally, but didn’t apply them just to himself. He wrote about the Father who loves all of us (John 3:16; 1 John 4:14–16). With great maturity and childlike certainty he reminds us that believing God is love and loves us personally is what gives us reason to love Him and one another. Mart DeHaan

Pro-life Student is Punched in the Face while Protesting outside Planned Parenthood

Pro-life Student is Punched in the Face while Protesting outside Planned Parenthood

In an act of violence captured on video, an angry woman is seen punching a pro-life student protester outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Roanoke, Virginia.

TheBlaze.com reports that 15-year-old Purity Thomas was protesting with other students from Students for Life of America outside the Planned Parenthood clinic on Saturday when the assault occurred.

According to a report from The Daily Caller, Thomas was holding a pro-life sign which read “All people are made in the image of God.” She was speaking to and praying with women outside the clinic. Suddenly, an angry woman rushed up to her, stole her sign, and reportedly threatened to beat her up.

The woman then punched Thomas in the face, and Thomas is seen staggering backward. Some of Thomas’ fellow students caught the incident on camera.

In response to the assault, Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life America, issued this statement:

“It’s horrific that a minor expressing love for pregnant women was targeted for violence. But this is not an isolated incident. Across the country we are witnessing a rise in the number of incidents of vandalism and violence against peaceful pro-life speech.

We pray that the assailant from today’s attack is brought to justice swiftly. But we also pray for the protection of those who volunteer their time to speak for the innocent, preborn infants…
