Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily December 4, 2017 Devotional: Honor God and He’ll Honor You

Topic: Honor God and He’ll Honor You [Monday December 4, 2017]

Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. – Proverbs 3:9-10

The book of Proverbs gives us a very basic principle of success. It is this: If you want God to honor you and bless you in any area of your life, you’re going to have to honor Him in that particular area.

If you want God to bless you financially, you’re going to have to honor Him with your money, or as this verse puts it, with the firstfruits of all your increase. In other words, you’re going to have to tithe.

Ken and I know that from experience. When we started our life with the Lord, we were in terrible shape financially. And we stayed that way for several years because we failed to tithe consistently. Oh, we tried to tithe, but we’d never last long at it.

Then, one day, we made a quality decision that we were going to tithe no matter what. That’s when we started coming out of trouble financially. When we began honoring God with our money by tithing, He began to help us in that area in miraculous ways.

You may say, “Well, Gloria, I just can’t afford to tithe right now.”

But let me tell you, you can’t afford not to! If you don’t start honoring God with your money, you’ll be in the same financial position next year that you’re in today.

So do it—even if it looks like you can’t afford to. God is faithful! If you’ll honor Him by giving Him the 10 percent that belongs to Him, He’ll help you with the rest.

Give God His first. Do it in faith, expecting. As you tithe, worship Him and be grateful for what He has already done in your life. You’ll be amazed when you see what He can do.

Scripture Reading: Malachi 3:8-12

Our Daily Manna December 4, 2017: ODM devotional – Catch Of A Lifetime: Dishonesty Is Poisonous!

Our Daily Manna December 4, 2017: ODM devotional – Catch Of A Lifetime: Dishonesty Is Poisonous!

Topic — Catch Of A Lifetime: Dishonesty Is Poisonous! [Monday, December 4, 2017]

There was once an 11-year old who went fishing with his father in the middle of a New Hampshire lake of the UK.

They were catching Sunfish and Perch with worms. Then he threw the hook into the water again and when his pole rolled over, he knew that something huge is on the other end. Behold, he had caught a big fish: A bass fish that was banned by government because the Bass fishing tournament industry helped o sell recreational fishing products. BASS is name some species (types) of fish that are often caught for food or sport. The boy and the father both looked at the handsome fish with its gills playing back and front in the moonlight.

The father used their torchlight to look at the watch and the time was 10p.m and nobody would see them if they carry the banned fish home. The father looked at the fish, then at the boy and said, “Son you would have to put it back into the water.” Dad, cried the son, “there will be no fish as big as this one. Why can’t we take it away?  Its 10p.m and there are no security around.” Painfully however, he dropped the fish back into the black water. That was about 44 years ago! Today, he is a successful architect in New York City and he still takes his children to fish.

He has never caught such big fish as the one he lost 44 years ago, but he happy he kept his integrity. What will you do when no one is looking at you at 10p.m. or anytime? Proverb 11:3 says: “Integrity shall guide and promote.” As for the grace to always do the right thing in the open or in secret. Hear Daniel Webster: “There is nothing as powerful as the truth.” Hear this again: “You can fool some of the people all the time, and all of the people some f the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.”

As 2017 ends, resist dishonesty and a double lifestyle even in the dark! It is acidic! It is poisonous! It is deadly! Don’t you know that the future – 20118 – is carrying your SPECIAL DECORATION? Don’t scatter it by your lifestyle! You will shine.

Our Daily Bread 4 December 2017 Devotional – Christmas at MacPherson

Our Daily Bread 4 December 2017 Devotional – Christmas at MacPherson

Topic: Christmas at MacPherson — Monday December 4, 2017.

Read: Luke 1:68–75, Bible in a Year: Ezekiel 47–48; 1 John 3

Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them. Luke 1:68

About 230 families and individuals live at MacPherson Gardens, Block 72 in my neighborhood. Each person has his or her own life story. On the tenth floor resides an elderly woman whose children have grown up, gotten married, and moved out. She lives by herself now. Just a few doors away from her is a young couple with two kids—a boy and a girl. And a few floors below lives a young man serving in the army. He has been to church before; maybe he will visit again on Christmas Day. I met these people last Christmas when our church went caroling in the neighborhood to spread Christmas cheer.

Every Christmas—as on the first Christmas—there are many people who do not know that God has entered into our world as a baby whose name is Jesus (Luke 1:68; 2:21). Or they do not know the significance of that event—it is “good news that will cause great joy for all the people” (2:10). Yes, all people! Regardless of our nationality, culture, gender, or financial status, Jesus came to die for us and offer us complete forgiveness so that we can be reconciled with Him and enjoy His love, joy, peace, and hope. All people, from the woman next door to the colleagues we have lunch with, need to hear this wonderful news!

On the first Christmas, the angels were the bearers of this joyous news. Today, God desires to work through us to take the story to others.

Prayer: Lord, use me to touch the lives of others with the news of Your coming.

The good news of Jesus’s birth is a source of joy for all people.

Insight:

One of the great themes of Luke’s gospel record is that it continually affirms that the message of Jesus’s death and resurrection is for everyone—not just for Israel. Today’s devotional declares that Christ’s coming would “cause great joy for all the people” (2:10). This important message continues later in this chapter when Simeon says that salvation is prepared in the “sight of all nations” and that Israel’s Messiah is both “a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel” (vv. 30–32). At the conclusion of Luke’s account, the risen Christ tells the two disciples on the Emmaus road that “repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (24:47). This message was not intended for Israel alone, nor are we to keep it to ourselves. The entire world is the object of God’s love.

DCLM Daily Manna 4 December, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Unto God Only

Topic: Unto God Only — Monday December 4, 2017.

Text: Deuteronomy 18:9-14

Key Verse: “When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations” (Deuteronomy 18:9).

The world is filled with several types of professions. In almost all instances, the professionals possess some qualifications and by extension, some qualities that mark them out. For example, the medical profession does not only expose its practitioners to rigorous professional training, but also to some habits and lifestyle that depict the ethics of the profession.

Ignoring such ethics would not only endanger and injure the health of the medical officer, but also cast aspersions on his profession and dissuade those who would have come for his professional service. The text under consideration depicts a subset of instructions to Israel to mark them out as God’s chosen people once they entered Canaan.

They were never to learn of the abominations of the people; their sons and daughters must not pass through the fire, neither were the people permitted to succumb to the horrific experiences of divination, observance of times, enchantment, witchcraft and other ignoble association with satanic powers. The reason for God’s stringent admonition was simply this: the practices are abominations unto the Lord. It explains why God judged the hateful inhabitants of Canaan.

On the contrary, Israel was firmly instructed to be perfect before God as His unique and peculiar people. The Christian life is unique and peculiar. Just like it is unimaginable that a qualified medical doctor would seek the help of a herbalist to heal his headache, stomach disturbance or skin rashes, so it is abominable to the Christian profession for a believer to seek help, refuge, protection or solace from all the beggarly elements that the people of the world are flocking after. Every child of God is special, separated and superior to any other power other than God’s. The life of the believer should show forth God’s praise and comeliness in every manner.

Thought for the day: A separated saint is a distinct instrument for God.

Seeds of Destiny 4 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Blotting Out Of Contrary Ordinances

Seeds of Destiny 4 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Blotting Out Of Contrary Ordinances

Topic: The Blotting Out Of Contrary Ordinances [Monday December 4, 2017]

Scripture: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. Colossians 2:14

Thought For The Day: The Blood of Jesus Christ is the therapy for satanic ordinances.

A contrary ordinance, in this context, connotes a decree that is not in consonance with the Will of God. It is a decree, declaration or utterance made against a person contrary to the will, plan and purpose of God for his or her life.

Today, we live in a time when there is an escalation of satanic wickedness and onslaught. That a person is gentle or innocent does not spare him or her from being hunted by agents of wickedness. Being alive alone qualifies you to be confronted and hunted by the devil and his agents.

The truth is, there are many people who are suffering calamities they know nothing about – nothing works for them, failure at the verge of breakthrough is the order of the day in their lives. The spell of near-success syndrome has become a recurrent decimal in many people’s lives. The devil may have vowed that as long as such people are alive, misery and adversity shall remain their experience. Some people’s predicaments in life even originated from their mother’s womb. That was the case of Jabez. Jabez’ limitation followed him from his birth. (1 Chronicles 4:9).

The cause of barrenness that some people face is not necessarily because they lived a wayward life in the past; there may be a witchcraft injunction or an ordinance from the occult realm written against their fruitfulness. But right now, that ordinance is being deleted by the Blood of Jesus Christ. If you are someone facing any situation of barrenness in your life, in nine months’ time, your fruitfulness shall be confirmed. You shall bring forth your children.

The Blood of Jesus Christ carries the power to delete every witchcraft or negative handwriting against your life and destiny. The Blood of Jesus is the therapy for satanic ordinances.

Today, by the prophetic and the judgmental mantle upon my life, I decree your liberty from every verdict of the enemy against your life. I declare that the Blood of Jesus blot out every handwriting of the devil against you, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Remember This: The Blood of Jesus Christ is the therapy for satanic ordinances.

Assignment(S):

1. Take a day or two to fast and seek the intervention of God if you notice any strong satanic ordinance or handwriting working against you in any area of your life.

2. Embark on periodic midnight prayers.

Prayer: LORD, I ask that the Blood of Jesus blots out every handwriting of the enemy working against my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
