DCLM Daily Manna 2 December, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Beware Of Blasphemy

Topic: Beware Of Blasphemy — Saturday December 2, 2017.

Text: Leviticus 24:10-23

Key Verse: “And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin” (Leviticus 24:15).

According to the Pew Research Center analysis, about a quarter of the world’s countries and territories (26%) had anti-blasphemy laws or policies and more than one-tenth (13%) of nations had laws or policies penalizing apostasy. The prescribed punishments for such transgressions vary from fines to death. The Centre counted and categorized these laws in 2014 as part of a research for a major report on restrictions on religion around the world.

The report found that laws on blasphemy are most common in the Middle East and North Africa where 18 of the region’s 20 countries (90%) criminalize blasphemy. Blasphemy laws exist to tame man’s tongue from destroying his spiritual heritage. It is a God-approved way of making man bridle his tongue since one cannot be found guilty of what he did not say. Two adults fighting in camp was bad enough. But one did more than fight. He blasphemed the name of the Lord and also cursed.

His action drew negative reaction from concerned observers who dragged him to Moses for adjudication since there was no precedent to follow in handling the matter. He directed that he should be locked up till the mind of the Lord would be known on the matter. God spoke to Moses that the blasphemer be stoned to death. Though his father was an Egyptian, God decreed that the same law applied to Israelite and the stranger. The blasphemer died because of the fruit of his lips. God is holy and He desires that His name be held in great esteem.

To swear, curse and even jests with Scripture verses in the name of God is contemptuous and evil. It is disrespect to the King of kings whose “name is dreadful among the heathen” (Malachi 1:14) to use His words for comedy and fun. So, honour God with your thoughts and let your mouth speak of His greatness only. Beware of blasphemy.

Thought for the day: Life and death are in the power of the tongue.

Seeds of Destiny 2 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Counsel of The Lord

Seeds of Destiny 2 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Counsel of The Lord

Topic: The Counsel of The Lord [Saturday December 2, 2017]

Scripture: There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. Proverbs 19:21

Thought For The Day: The Word of God is more potent than any weapon of war

A counsel is a deliberate purpose, design, intent, scheme or plan.

The counsel of the Lord, therefore, means the deliberate purpose, design, intent or plan of God.

Our anchor Scripture above confirms that we live in a generation where the hearts of men are filled with wicked devices, satanic imaginations and demonic orchestrations against their fellows.

However, despite the evil intents or devices of men, it is the counsel of the Lord that shall stand. It does not matter how wicked the orchestrations, calculations and permutations of the enemy against your life are, it is the counsel of the Lord, which is Divine preservation and wellbeing for you and your household, that shall stand. The truth is, what God said about you is heavier than what any witch or wizard has said. The Word of God is more potent than any weapon of war, be it physical or spiritual.

A young man once told a pathetic story of how strangers from other countries were imported to his village to kill people and cause havocs in their community. Imagine people being paid to take innocent and defenseless lives! That is the kind of evil world we are living in. What a wicked generation!

But by the apostolic and judgmental fire mantle upon my life, I decree that the earth shall open its mouth to swallow any man, witch or wizard wishing you death; they shall take your place in death.

They shall be buried in that pit they have dug for you. This December shall not see your end. You shall see the end of December, in Jesus’ Name!

Remember This: The Word of God is more potent than any weapon of war.

Assignment(s):

1. Give attention to the Word of God daily in reading and study to know what the counsel of God for your life is.

2. Constantly, consistently and persistently confess and declare the counsel of the Lord for your life.

Prayer: LORD, I surrender my life under Your cover in this wicked generation. Frustrate every counsel of the enemy working against my life, family and destiny, O’ LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THE MESSAGE: THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD SHALL STAND.

Our Daily Manna December 2, 2017: ODM devotional – Why Me Lord? – 1

Our Daily Manna December 2, 2017: ODM devotional – Why Me Lord? - 1

Topic: Why Me Lord? -1 [Saturday, December 2, 2017]

Basic Scriptures: 1 Peter 4:2; 12-19

Welcome to our devotional encounter with heaven again. Many people are unable to accept why God can sometimes ‘permit’ suffering even though He did not permit it. In the process, many fall into grave doubt and confusion.

A Jewish scholar, David Wolf Silverman, once wrote: “If Gog is to be intelligible in some manner, then His goodness must be compatible with the existence of evil and this is only if He is not all powerful.” And he was wrong! Others, unable to explain why even believers sometimes suffer, have gone to the extent of denying the existence of suffering or satan. Hear this: “If sin, sickness and death were understood as nothingness, they would disappear.” Can you imagine Mary Baker declared further: “Evil and suffering are illusions (false beliefs) and have no real basis.” Amazing! Yet to others, God has lost control of the affairs of man and the world.

Some have claimed that since God is all-powerful, He must be ultimately responsible for all the suffering going around the world. None of the above is correct! 1 Peter 4:12 declared without apologies: “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happen to you.” Note the words, “not strange” and “fiery”. That means suffering and battles are not strange and sometimes, they could be fiery (very harsh): the purest of saints, Abraham, Moses, and Daniel passed through trials! Elisha, Elijah and other prophets were tried.

All religions on earth today, no matter how blind they are, agree that trials are the process of purification. In this last month of 2017, stop asking questions that have no immediate answers and resist discouragement! Wait on the Lord in any trial or delay! It may be harsh now but will be hallow tomorrow! You are coming out better because; clouds of testing can be showers of blessings!

End of 2017 is not the end of your destiny! Oh! I see 2018 and I have just been informed again by your God that 2018 is your SPECIAL YEAR F DECORATION! Lots more concerning your 2018 DECORATION in the next ODM! Hold on and Hold out! Pray now!

TREM’s Daily 2 December 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – God Is Absolute In Power

TREM’s Daily 2 December 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - God Is Absolute In Power

Topic: God Is Absolute In Power — Saturday December 2, 2017.

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV)

Jeremiah and the entire city of Jerusalem were under the Babylonian siege. almost is in line with prophecy as God had spoken that the city shall be delivered into the hands of the enemy. Then a message from the Lord came to Jeremiah to buy a piece of land belonging to Hanameel.

Just put on your imagination! You are under siege and all that is on your mind is how to escape yet God is saying to you instead “buy a land”. Of course, Jeremiah understood that God is sovereign and His ways are past finding out. He sees the end from the beginning. The word of God came again to him and said behold I am the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for me. This same question comes to us today. God said in case you don’t know who is talking to you, I am the Lord God of all flesh. I can do anything.

I’ve come to let you know that there is nothing God cannot do. There is no challenge you are facing today that He cannot handle. He will come through for you. He is the miracle working God. He is supreme in position and absolute in power. He does what He wants to do and takes no permission from anyone. You need to settle this truth in your heart so that no matter what comes, you are standing tall because your God, the Almighty God, is in control. This is not a figure of speech or a future event; right now, all over the world, God is in control. Everything is at his beck and call.

Beloved, all you need do is to worship Him and ask Him to throw His weight around in your life. He will heal, deliver and set you free. He will destroy the yokes of darkness around you, your family, and your marriage. He will change your destiny. You may be going through contradiction and difficult times. I prophesy over your life that this year will not end without your testimony. A new dimension of God’s grace is coming to your life.

Andrew Wommack’s Daily 2 December 2017 Devotional: Religious Pride Brings Dissension

Topic: Religious Pride Brings Dissension [Saturday December 2, 2017]

Mark 15:10 “For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.”

The Jews were God’s chosen people and therefore, God’s representatives on earth. Yet, they lied and condemned an innocent man to death. Pilate could see that their real motivation for wanting Jesus dead was envy. They were doing all their religious works to be seen of men, and were upset that Jesus was getting more recognition than they were. If these Jews would have thought about what type of witness they were giving, even they would have known that their actions were not inspired by God.

We should remember that we are God’s witnesses on earth, or as Paul said, “We are epistles… known and read of all men” (2 Cor. 3:2). Judging our actions in the light of, “What kind of witness will this give to others?” will help us discern whether or not we are being led of God.

The chief priests had deceived themselves and other religious people into believing that they were condemning Jesus for godly reasons, but even an ungodly ruler like Pilate could see through their lies. Religious bondage blinds people to the truth even more than sin does.

These rulers wanted to retain their power and authority, so they fought against the power and authority of Jesus. This is still the same today. Men use doctrinal issues to disguise the real issue. The truth is that, “Only by pride cometh contention” (Prov. 13:10). People who love to have the preeminence (3 Jn. 9) are usually the instigators of persecution.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily December 2, 2017 Devotional: Free Your Faith

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily December 2, 2017 Devotional: Free Your Faith

Topic: Free Your Faith [Saturday December 2, 2017]

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any. – Mark 11:25

Few people realize just how closely connected faith and forgiveness are. Jesus taught about that connection in His sermon on mountain-moving faith that’s recorded in Mark 11:22-26.

He said, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive” (verses 24-25).

Jesus backed those two sentences up together on purpose. He wanted us to know that releasing those who have wronged us is fundamental to receiving from God. He wanted to impress on our hearts the fact that we cannot have our prayers answered and hold grudges in our hearts at the same time.

Unforgiveness clogs the faith channel and keeps you powerless against the mountains in your life!

If you’ve been praying for something and you just can’t seem to get an answer, check your heart for unforgiveness. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring any grudge that’s hidden there to light. Unclog the channel of faith and you will soon see things you’ve been praying for come to pass.

Topic: All He Requires [Saturday December 2, 2017]

Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? — John 11:40

If you are a young man or young woman hooked on dissent or despair, ready to split, then lend me your attention. My answer concerns your dreams, and the element in your make-up called “faith.” All that God requires of anyone in taking his first step toward Him and toward total self-fulfillment is faith—faith in His Word, that teaches that God loves you and that you were alienated from Him by sin, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you, that when you make a personal surrender to Him as Lord and Savior, He can transform you from the inside out.

Prayer for the day: Your Word, heavenly Father, brings me hope and redemption through Jesus Christ—thrusts through the despondencies of life and says You love me!

Written by Billy Graham, Founder of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association(BGEA). BGEA exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means and to equip the church and others to do the same.

Our Daily Bread 2 December 2017 Devotional – Ham and Eggs

Our Daily Bread 2 December 2017 Devotional – Ham and Eggs

Topic: Ham and Eggs — Saturday December 2, 2017.

Read: 2 Chronicles 16:1–9, Bible in a Year: Ezekiel 42–44; 1 John 1

The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. – 2 Chronicles 16:9

In the fable of the chicken and the pig, the two animals discuss opening a restaurant together. As they plan their menu, the chicken suggests they serve ham and eggs. The pig swiftly objects saying, “No thanks. I’d be committed, but you would only be involved.”

Although the pig didn’t care to put himself on the platter, his understanding of commitment is instructive to me as I learn to better follow God with my whole heart.

To protect his kingdom, Asa, king of Judah, sought to break up a treaty between the kings of Israel and Aram. To accomplish this, he sent personal treasure along with “silver and gold out of the treasuries of the Lord’s temple” to secure favor with Ben-Hadad, the king of Aram (2 Chron. 16:2). Ben-Hadad agreed and their joint forces repelled Israel.

But God’s prophet Hanani called Asa foolish for relying on human help instead of God who had delivered other enemies into their hands. Hanani asserted, “The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” (v. 9).

As we face our own battles and challenges, let’s remember that God is our best ally. He strengthens us when we’re willing to “serve up” a whole-hearted commitment to Him.

Prayer: Lord, I want to rely on You more fully. Sometimes I see only what is around me. Please help me to look up and to trust You more.

When we are abandoned to God, He works through us all the time. Oswald Chambers
