DCLM Daily Manna 8 November, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Averting God’s Wrath

Topic: Averting God’s Wrath — Wednesday November 8, 2017.

Text: Ezekiel 21:18-32

Key Verse: “And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering” (Ezekiel 21:28)

There are many judgments in the Holy Bible that precede the final judgment God will bring upon the unrepentant world. These smaller judgments that reveal His anger against people, nations and their rulers only point to and serve as warning to sinners and backsliders to “flee from the wrath to come”.

Prophet Ezekiel here relates a graphic account of how the Ammonite nation and Judah were judged for the sins of disobedience and revolt against the commandment of God. He had warned through Prophet Jeremiah that He would give Judah and other nations into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon and that there should be no resistance to him. Unfortunately, in 589BC, during Babylon’s campaign to fulfil God’s prophecy, Judah and Ammon rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar. The men and women of Judah who were in exile in Babylon were elated when they heard the news of the uprising, wrongly believing it meant the end of their captivity. They could not be right because God had decreed a 70-year captivity as punishment for their sins. He therefore sent Ezekiel to let the captives understand that the king of Babylon would crush the revolt. Every detail of Ezekiel’s prediction came to pass.

Man cannot get away with sin and mock divine prophecy. It amounts to displaying a shallow understanding of the righteous Judge of heaven and earth to presume in these last days that all things will (always) continue as they were from the beginning of creation. God says in Isaiah 13:11: “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity…” It is only by genuine repentance, faith in Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, and righteous living that one can escape His wrath.

Thought for the day: Accept the Son (Jesus) lest He (God) be angry and ye perish from the way…”

Topic: Destined To Last [Wednesday November 8, 2017]

Scripture: Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. Job 5:26

Thought For The Day: Man was wired unto durability; Divinity designed humanity for longevity.

From our anchor scripture above, it is clear that man was created by God to last on the earth. This was the original plan of God before satan introduced sin to man. Immediately man embraced sin, he started to sink; man began to die before his time. Iniquity is the foundation for mortality; iniquity invites calamity.

Beloved, God did not design man to fade away rapidly. The destiny of man is to live long. Man was wired unto durability; Divinity positioned humanity for longevity.

This is evident in the lives of the covenant people of old. In Genesis 5:1-32, from Adam to Noah, apart from Enoch who was taken bodily to heaven without death at age 365, nobody was permitted to die before the age of seven hundred and seventy seven (777) years.

This means that to die prematurely is an abomination of Divine agenda of longevity for humanity.

Thus, it is your right to live long. No devil is permitted to take your life before your time.

By the mantle of God upon my life, I prophesy to you that your life shall not be cut short. You shall fulfill your days, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: Man was wired unto durability; Divinity positioned humanity for longevity.

Assignment(S):

1. Consciously know and accept your covenant right for long life.

2. Confess and repent from any sin that can arrest your durability on earth.

Prayer: LORD, I thank You for Your longevity agenda for my life. I resist every spirit of death after my life, in Jesus’ Name.

TREM’s Daily 8 November 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - You Have Been Blessed

Topic: You Have Been Blessed — Wednesday November 8, 2017.

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion…” (Genesis 1:28 KJV)

According to Genesis 1:1-2 (KJV) “In the beginning, God created heaven and earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” And then God spoke, and it came into existence. Everything came to pass, the animal kingdom, the vegetation kingdom and the mineral kingdom. He created all the kingdoms and he said ‘this is good’.

Then God said, Let Us make Man. Did man beg God to make him? Did you beg God to make you? No! You did not beg Him. He said let Us make man in Our own image. (Genesis 1:26) It was His idea and not yours. You cannot make yourself. “Let us make man in our own image.” Glory to God! Not like an animal. He made you in his image. He decided to make you and he did. He came up with the idea. He then went on to say, let them have dominion over all the creatures. He put all the things in place and said, I will make you so that you can take charge. He did not stop there. And the scripture says, ‘he blessed them.’ He blessed Man saying, “be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and subdue the earth,”. He said to have dominion. Notice that up until this time, we had not seen what man had done. The move was always God’s move. Man had not made any move. All the moves had been God’s. It was always God moving on our behalf.

Beloved, He has moved on your behalf. He has moved in your life. He has blessed you. Don’t let the devil lie to you. God already moved over 2000 years ago. Don’t ever say God will do it. You are getting it backwards; God has already done it. God has already blessed you. It is finished. He paid the price; the COMPLETE PRICE so no devil can hold you back. Your salvation is not only for you to make heaven; it is all encompassing – spirit, soul and body. All that you ever need has been made available IN CHRIST. Indeed you have been blessed.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily November 8, 2017 Devotional: The Hidden Things of God

Topic: The Hidden Things of God [Wednesday November 8, 2017]

Blessed art thou…for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. – Matthew 16:17

Remember when you went to school and learned your ABCs? You learned them by using your five senses and your logical abilities to gather information and sort it out. That kind of knowledge is called natural knowledge and it’s the only kind most people know anything about.

But in the kingdom of God, there’s another kind of knowing. One that works its way from the inside out instead of from the outside in. It’s called revelation knowledge.

Jesus spoke about this kind of knowledge in Matthew 16. He’d just asked the disciples, “Who do you say I am?” Peter had answered Him by declaring, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

“Blessed are you, Simon,” Jesus responded, “because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father which is in heaven.”

In other words, Jesus was saying, “Peter, you didn’t learn this information through your physical senses. You received it another way. You received it directly from God.”

If you’ve ever had a revelation like that, you know that when it comes, it changes things. It makes you see old things in an entirely new light. It gives you such unshakable confidence that, as Jesus said to Peter, “The gates of hell can’t prevail against you.”

But revelations like that don’t come easily. You have to meditate the Word and search the Spirit of God for them because they are “hidden” in Him. The Bible says God has hidden His wisdom for the saints (1 Cor. 2:7-9). Notice, He’s hidden it for you, not from you. He wants you to have it.

Don’t think, however, that God is just going to drop great revelations into your lap while you’re watching television. You have to seek Him.

If you’re hungry for revelation knowledge, get yourself in a position to receive it by meditating the Word, praying and fellowshiping with the Lord. Begin to receive those revelations from Him. It’s the most exciting kind of learning there is.

Luke 22:44 “And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

Text: Luke 22:43-44

It is interesting that Luke is the only one of the gospel writers to mention that Jesus’ sweat was as great drops of blood. This is probably because Luke was a physician (Col. 4:14), and therefore, this had special significance to him.

There have been documented cases of people actually sweating drops of blood under extreme emotional pressure. This might explain why Luke is the only writer to mention the angel strengthening Jesus. Just as when Jesus encountered Satan during His forty days of fasting and temptation in the wilderness and the angels ministered unto Him (Mk. 1:13), so here, He needed supernatural strength to endure His sufferings.

The use of the words “as it were” might also mean that the sweat of Jesus was only comparable to blood in consistency or size, but it certainly underscores the effect Jesus’ agony had on His physical body.

Jesus’ sufferings for us were more than just physical. In the garden, before He suffered physically, He suffered emotionally, almost to the point of death. As Luke records, an angel had to come and give Him strength or the emotional struggle alone would have killed Him.

All that Jesus did was motivated solely by love. It was for the joy that was set before Him that He endured going to the cross. He didn’t do what He did to save us out of pity or a sense of obligation as our Creator. He did it because He loves us.

Topic: Limitless God [Wednesday November 8, 2017]

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy . . . — Zephaniah 3:17

The world’s millions could come down to the beach and reach out their hands to be filled with sea water. They could each take as much as they wanted, as much as they needed-and still the ocean would remain unchanged. Its might and power would be the same, the life in its unfathomable depths would continue unaltered, although it had supplied the needs of every single person standing with outstretched hands along its shores.

So it is with God. He can be everywhere at once, heeding the prayers of all who call out in the name of Christ; performing the mighty miracles that keep the stars in their places, and the plants bursting up through the earth, and the fish swimming in the sea. There is no limit to God. There is no limit to His wisdom. There is no limit to His power. There is no limit to His love. There is no limit to His mercy.

Prayer for the day: Almighty God, how glorious are my thoughts of You, for You are everywhere—loving and caring for the minutest details of our lives!

The Independent published an astonishing article this week, entitled: “How the teachings of Islam could help us prevent more sexual abuse scandals”. It is written by Qasim Rashid, an Ahmadiyya Muslim writer and commentator. This comes after revelations about Harvey Weinstein’s appalling behavior have been headline news almost continuously for some days.

Can This Be True?

At first glance, one wonders how Rashid can possibly think this. After all,…
