Thought For The Day: An anointed bicycle can overtake an aircraft; an anointed tadpole can sink a whale.

It has been confirmed that the Anointing of the Holy Spirit is a preserver of life and destiny. There are examples from scripture that corroborate this. David was anointed in 1 Samuel 16:13, and in chapter 17, he confronted Goliath and by reason of the Anointing on his head, he conquered Goliath and brought victory to Israel. Thus David was preserved by virtue of the Anointing.

If God anoints a tadpole, it would kill and bury a shark. An anointed tadpole can even sink a whale. An anointed bicycle would overtake an aircraft; it is a matter of who anointed it. That is the mystery of the Anointing.

Beloved, one of the most dangerous persons anyone can confront on earth is an anointed person. You may look small or gentle but if the Anointing is on your head, the devil and his agents would tremble whenever they see you.

Every anointed personality is an untouchable entity; it is only those who are on a suicide mission that would dare someone who carries the Anointing on his head.

I prophesy to you today; the Anointing of the Holy Ghost is coming on You and it will take the devil by surprise. They may despise you but they cannot destroy you because you are untouchable!

Remember this: An anointed bicycle can overtake an aircraft; an anointed tadpole can sink a whale.

Assignment(s):

1. Make demands on the Anointing of the Holy Ghost on your life.

2. Abide in God’s Presence; spend quality time with God in order to have a direct contact with the Anointing.

3. Live a sin-free life.

Topic: Tap In to the Truth [Sunday July 16, 2017]

When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. – John 16:13

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth. Not just enough truth to get by on. Not just an occasional truth to help us teach our Sunday school classes. All truth!

If you’re a businessman, that means the Holy Spirit will show you how to increase your profits and reduce your expenses. If you’re a mother, it means the Holy Spirit will show you how to settle arguments between your children. If you’re a student, it means the Holy Spirit will show you how to excel in your classes.

In fact, if you know Jesus Christ and are baptized in the Holy Ghost, somehow inside you is the answer to every financial problem, every spiritual problem and every physical problem that exists. You have answers for problems you don’t even know about yet!
Back during World War II, for example, the United States ran into some serious trouble. Their ships were being sunk by the enemy faster than they could build new ones, a process which at that time took a year.

In an effort to solve their dilemma, a method was devised by which a ship could be built in a single day. The problem was, the process involved building the ship upside down and, when the ships were turned upright, the welds would pop and the ship would come apart.

The problem was presented to a deeply spiritual man who was a famous industrialist at the time. “I’ll find out how to do it,” he said. And, sure enough, after days of prayer and fasting, God showed him the welding formula that would hold the ship together.

If you’re facing a problem today, don’t drag around trying to handle it on your own. Take Jesus at His Word and start asking the Holy Spirit to give you the knowledge you need to solve it. Put the wisdom of the ages to work on your job, in your family and in your world. Tap in to the truths He’s placed in you.

The sequoia tree, one of three species of redwoods, is among the world’s largest and most enduring organisms. It can grow to 300 feet in height, weigh over 2.5 million pounds (1.1 million kg), and live for 3,000 years. But the majestic sequoia owes much of its size and longevity to what lies below the surface. A twelve- to fourteen-foot-deep matting of roots, spreading over as much as an acre of earth, firmly grounds its towering height and astonishing weight.

A redwood’s expansive root system, however, is small compared to the national history, religion, and anticipation that undergird the life of Jesus. On one occasion He told a group of religious leaders that the Scriptures they loved and trusted told His story (John 5:39). In the synagogue of Nazareth He opened the scroll of Isaiah, read a description of Israel’s Messiah, and said, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing” (Luke 4:21).

Our lives are rooted in our need of Him.

Later, after His resurrection, Jesus helped His disciples understand how the words of Moses, the prophets, and even the songs of Israel showed why it was necessary for Him to suffer, die, and rise from the dead (24:46).

What grace and grandeur—to see Jesus rooted in the history and Scriptures of a nation, and to see how extensively our own lives are rooted in our need of Him.

Prayer: Father in heaven, please help us never forget that the history of Israel and the inspired words of Scripture ground us in seeing our need of Your Son.

All Scripture helps us see our need of Jesus.

Insight:

This remarkable passage records Jesus Christ’s explanation of the scriptural foundation to His redemptive ministry on earth. He tells the disciples—and us—that Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms bear witness to who He is. The expectations of the Jewish nation had been that Messiah would be a conquering hero who would liberate them from tyranny. In the time of Christ, the obvious oppressor was the Roman Empire. Yet God’s eternal plan from before the creation of the world was that forgiveness of sins would be secured through the substitute blood offering of Messiah—Jesus of Nazareth. He would provide redemption for every member of the human race who would hear and believe the gospel of grace. Jesus told His followers that opposition and persecution would accompany this proclamation of the gospel, but an eternal reward and joyous fellowship with the Creator-Redeemer God would be given to those who persevered.

Topic: Look to the Future for Your Reward [Saturday July 15, 2017]

For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness—in conformity to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God]. — Hebrews 12:11

We should look to the future, determine what we want to see happen, and then discipline ourselves in order that we may have it. We must not buy into the lie that we should only live for the moment or that the present is all we have. We also have a future to consider, and we need to begin to live with an eye toward “afterward,” toward the “later on” times. We have to begin to care just as much or more about later on than we care about right now.

If you want to be thinner when the time comes to wear your swimsuit in June, you need to start eating healthily and exercising before summer arrives. If you want to be able to afford a new car next year, you need to work toward getting out of debt right now. If you dream of living in a nice, clean, orderly home, you have to clear out the clutter and clean it up!

Discipline may not be pleasant for your flesh while you’re doing it, but it will give you a tremendous sense of satisfaction in your soul—the satisfaction that comes from knowing you are making good choices. If you will pay the price to be disciplined now, you will enjoy rewards later. If you don’t pay the price now to do what is right, then you’ll suffer the consequences of an undisciplined life later.

You can pay now or you can pay later, but at some point, we all reap the harvest of the choices we’ve made. We can’t simply wish our lives were different; we have to press through laziness, fleshly desires, and bad attitudes and refuse to give up on the discipline that will yield good fruit later on. If there is something you want to see happen in your future, start disciplining yourself toward it now, and later on you will enjoy the fruit of it.

Trust in Him: God’s Word in Hebrews 12:11 says “no discipline brings joy…but afterwards….” If you discipline yourself now, you can trust that He’ll bring you great reward afterward.

(Daniel 2:16-28)

The Bible opens up with this emphatic statement as found in Genesis 1:1 – “in the beginning God………” It implies that there was no beginning without God. It means therefore, that before humanity, there was divinity! All rules be it scientific, plotical, biological, medical, academic, corporate, ancestral, traditional, cultural, marital, business, financial, career/professional rules, are earthly and they operate in the natural. But God can change them at will ( today’s scripture, Vs. 21). Therefore, anytimeany rule, law or protocol will affect His purpose for your life, family or ministry, He will intervene to change them at will.

See below what your great God has done:

“Dear man of God, my name is Awogbade Adekoyejo. I awant to share my testimony to the glory of ‘Jehovah Jump Protocol.’ Sir, please I want you to publish it to the glory of God. I passed out of school in the year 2010; since then, I have been trusting God for the release of my rsults. I moved from one mountain to another; I prayed and fasted but all to no avail. The key to rest in life is rest in the Word.

Rest of mind proceeds from rest in the Word.

So, to access absolute rest in life, rest absolutely on the Word of God.

God’s Word is tested and proven, those who rest upon it cannot be shaken.

Men are troubled because they haven’t found the Word to rest upon.

Rest upon the Word to find rest in the world.

Topic: Disappointment Becomes Joy [Saturday July 15, 2017]

They shall see his face . . .  — Revelation 22:4 (TLB)

One of the great bonuses of being a Christian is the great hope that extends beyond the grave into the glory of God’s tomorrow. A little girl was running toward a cemetery as the darkness of evening began to fall. She passed a friend who asked her if she was not afraid to go through the graveyard at night.

“Oh, no,” she said, “I’m not afraid. My home is just on the other side!” We Christians are not afraid of the night of death because our heavenly home is “just on the other side.” The resurrection of Christ changed the midnight of bereavement into a sunrise of reunion; it changed the midnight of disappointment into a sunrise of joy; it changed the midnight of fear to a sunrise of peace. Today faith and confidence in the resurrected Christ can change your fear to hope and your disappointment to joy.

Hear this 1-minute story of a man facing a bleak future when he found joy in Christ.

Topic: Discourage the Devil [Saturday July 15, 2017]

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. – Luke 6:22-23

Do you want to know how to depress the devil? Just follow the instructions in that last verse. When persecution comes, when friends or family criticize you because you lay hands on the sick and believe in healing, and when co-workers call you a fanatic because you love Jesus and aren’t afraid to say so, rejoice! Shout hallelujah and leap for joy!

I tell you that will discourage the devil to no end. He’s expecting that persecution to hurt you. He’s expecting it to damage your faith, to wipe you out and to leave you in dismay.

I’m not saying you should enjoy the persecution itself. But you can learn to overlook the discomfort of those things by focusing your attention on the reward that’s coming and the fact that Jesus said you are blessed.

The Apostle Paul certainly knew how to do that. He was an expert on rejoicing in the midst of persecution. Satan was constantly stirring up trouble for him. But do you know what he said about all that persecution? He said it was not even worth considering compared to the glory that was about to be revealed.

If Paul could rejoice in the midst of beatings, stonings, shipwrecks, imprisonment and almost every other kind of persecution, you can too!

Just do what he did. When he was told by the Holy Ghost that bonds and afflictions awaited him, he said, “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24).

Don’t get all caught up in what people think and what people say down here on earth. Get caught up in pleasing the Lord. Get caught up in finishing your course with joy. Get caught up in the glorious hope that’s ahead. For that hope is enough to make anyone—under any circumstance—leap for joy!
