‘Left Behind’ Sequel Announced, Bible Apocalypse Movie to Pick Up After Rapture

Christian Post Report – The producers behind 2014’s “Left Behind” remake have announced that there will be a sequel to the Bible Apocalypse movie, with the story picking up after the Rapture.

“We are living in the last days and if the Rapture were to happen today, there are a lot of people who just aren’t ready,” Paul Lalonde, “Left Behind” producer and CEO of Cloud Ten Pictures, said in a press release shared with The Christian Post.

“This is why we need to complete the story as soon as possible beginning with LEFT BEHIND 2. But, if we want to keep control of our story, we will once again have to fund the movie independently. We have all seen what happens to Christian, Bible-based stories when the Hollywood studios take control. They change the fundamental meaning of God’s Word and make a mockery of the Christian faith. With the help of campaign supporters we won’t let that happen to LEFT BEHIND 2.”

An Indiegogo campaign has been set up to help the film enter the pre-production phase, and producers are expecting that the film will be ready for release in the summer of 2016.

The 2014 version, which starred lead actor Nicolas Cage, is a remake of the 2002 film which was headlined by Kirk Cameron, and tells the story of a group of people in the immediate aftermath of the sudden vanishing of millions of people from Earth.

The films are an adaptation of the popular New York Times bestselling book series of the same name, co-authored by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.

The press release did not include information on who will be starring in the sequel.

There was some controversy in the run-up to the 2014 movie surrounding Cage’s faith, with one fan asking at a Q&A about why he had been given the lead role if he is not a Christian.

Producer and writer Paul Lalonde, who also worked on the previous movie adaptations of the book series, responded by saying that Cage’s faith is between him and God.

“I have said before that MANY Christians I know do not have ‘I Love Jesus’ bumper stickers and especially in the entertainment world, there are a lot of Christian actors who have chosen to keep their personal faith a private matter,” Lalonde continued. “So while you may wish that someone was vocal about their faith, we should be careful declaring who is a believer and who is not. That is between them and God.”

The Indiegogo campaign, which was started on Tuesday, has almost $27,500 collected from a goal of $500,000.

Snapchat has recently released a brand new update which features some unusual emoji rankings and camera elements.

Photo messaging app, Snapchat just received a major update which included new emojis that rate friends according to their ranking, new camera photo editing capabilities, and reminders about friends users haven’t been interacting with.

The upgrade features emojis based on a ranking of which friends users have sent the most messages to. A gold heart next to a friend’s name is a code signifying that friend receives the most communication, a grimacing emoji represents a friend who has sent a good number of snaps to a users’ gold heart contact, and the sunglasses emoji points out a friend who sends and receives a regular amount of snaps from the user.

A smirking emoji represents a contact who has sent several snaps to the user, but whom the user has not sent much communication to, and a fire icon with a number beside it points to a rapid exchange of snaps, called a “snapstreak” in as many a number of days indicated. Meanwhile, a smiling emoji indicates a best friend not on top of the list.

The new emojis are geared at diminishing the “Best Friends” list effect, which fostered much competition among contacts, by keeping private the friendship barometers each user has with the other. The new system allows users to keep track of their Snapchat relationships without the anxiety of their other contacts seeing their emoji rankings.

The update also includes a “Needs Love” reminder for users pointing out friends who haven’t received any attention in a long period, and a low-light camera function which allows users to lighten dark photos by clicking the half-moon icon at the left corner of the screen.

The Snapchat app, which initially launched in 2011, has recorded an average of 700 million images and videos sent per day, and 500 million content views as of May 2014.

Anne Hathaway brought studio audiences cheering to their feet with her fierce performance of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” during a “Lip Sync Battle” preview that went viral overnight.

Oscar winner Anne Hathaway is due to appear on the Spike channel’s “Lip Sync Battle” versus Emily Blunt, and the preview of her Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” routine now has over six million views on YouTube.

While classically trained Hathaway may be one of the more serious actresses in Hollywood, her passionate presentation of Miley Cyrus’ oft-parodied hit, “Wrecking Ball” has silenced her critics and shaken up audiences overnight with her over-the-top gestures and dramatic facial expressions which were strikingly identical to Cyrus’ from the actual music video.

Her routine, which pits her against “Into the Woods” English actress, Emily Blunt has her leaping athletically onstage at the beginning of the song. Pantomiming the lyrics, Hathaway’s performance includes a costume change where she emerges wearing only her underwear.

Dressed only in her white skivvy ensemble, she makes a running jump unto an actual wrecking ball in a previously unlighted portion of the stage, and swings wildly to the beat of the music, still lip syncing, as the audience claps and cheers her on.

She also takes the time to lean back across the ball and flash her middle finger at Blunt sitting at the sidelines behind, taking their television competition up a notch since they first clashed on-screen in 2006’s “The Devil Wears Prada.”

Whether Blunt stands a chance against Hathaway’s impassioned performance and perfect mouthing of the song’s lyrics is still open to question, and will finally be decided when the on-screen competitors’ episode airs on Spike on April 9, Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.

Leaked photos of what is allegedly the Christian Post Report – Sony Xperia Z4 have been making the rounds online since Monday, precipitating the release of the Japanese multinational’s latest flagship handset.

Sony’s Xperia Z4 has yet to be launched, but several leaked images of what is reportedly the latest model in its Z series have gone viral on the Internet since the photos surfaced on Monday.

The handset in the leaked photos show tiles with Korean writing, suggesting the images may have come from South Korea, or from a Korean phone owner. The home navigational button has changed in design, and the LED charging light is located on the top left of the unit.

A slightly off-center power button can be found on the right side above the volume toggle and a dedicated key for the phone’s camera. Based on the photos, it cannot yet be determined if the right side keys are made of plastic or some other material.

The handset features front-facing speakers along the bezel’s edge, and at the bottom left, a cut next to the charging port gives the suggestion of an additional speaker. Like its predecessor, the Z3, the corners of the smartphone also appear to be made of another material separate from the frame, and there appears to be no plastic flap covering the exposed microUSB port.

The back of the handset seems to be made of glass with Sony’s G-Lens tech logo printed on it. While the aperture cannot be determined from the photos, the back camera features a single LED flash similar to the Z3.

The left side of the smartphone shows a sealed flap, which may be a slot for the device’s SIM card and microSD, while a headphone jack shares space with a microphone hole on either side of the phone’s top end.

According to speculations, the leaked photos belong to Model E6553 that comes in two 5.2-inch sized variants with HD and QHD resolutions. With no official confirmation from Sony, the images may not necessarily be the final product when the Xperia Z4 is launched, presumably this summer.

Christian Post Report – The NFL is a business, and as a business its job is to make money. That is what the NFL is today and it is no different than most other American businesses these days.

With that in mind, Pro Football Talk is reporting that any team wanting to transfer to Los Angeles will face a $500 million relocation fee. Since two teams want to call Los Angeles home, that means the NFL could potentially make $1 billion dollars before a new home is built for teams in the LA market.

The NFL wants to expand its playoff tournament

Teams “will ordinarily be expected to pay a transfer fee to the League,” the NFL’s relocation policy states. It is aimed at compensating other teams for the loss of the opportunity to move to the new market themselves and/or accounting for the enhanced value of the franchise arising from the move.

Some have criticized that an owner who can afford to pay the league $500 million should not need taxpayer money to help build a stadium in LA. This would make Stan Kroenke, owner of the St. Louis Rams, the ideal LA relocation candidate, given that he can build a stadium with private money.

That way the NFL can collect its billion dollars, and get itself back into the biggest TV market in the country, and not have the headache of more arguments against publically funded stadiums.

‘Quantum Break’ Release Date Delay on Xbox One: Not Coming Until 2016

Christian Post Report – “Quantum Break,” another anticipated video game exclusive to the Xbox One will no longer be released in 2015 as originally scheduled. The game’s developers, Remedy Entertainment made the announcement Thursday last week.

According a Tech Times report, no reason was given for the delay. Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake addressed fans:

“We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine tune the game to create the kind of standout entertainment experience they’ve come to expect from us.”

The report also cited that delays seemed to be common for next generation consoles like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This was not the first delay announced this year – “Uncharted 4” of Sony and “Zelda” of Nintendo are included in the delay list, and so were “Batman: Arkham Knight” and “Halo 5.” This seems to be the norm for games such as these, according to the report.

“Quantum Break” is a third-person shooter action game that will be published by Microsoft and developed by Remedy Entertainment. Some reports describe it as a “risky title” and like most of the other games made for next generation consoles, are ambitious because they are supposed to be “designed to take full advantages” of the system.

“Quantum Break” employs a different type of gameplay. In the game, players have the ability to manipulate time and the game will be played in segments. What will happen in the next segment is determined by the choices that the player makes. Once a segment is finished, players need to watch an episode of a TV series that is being developed in conjunction with the game, which is supposed to help them make their choices in the game. There is no word yet on where and how the live-action series will be broadcast.

Christian Post Report – “Teen Mom” couple Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra appears to have a solid relationship. After getting through the pain of putting up their first born daughter for adoption, the two are now engaged and Catelynn has just given birth to their second daughter, Novalee, three months ago. However, a new report claims that Tyler has left Catelynn, and she recently took to Twitter to clear up the break up rumors once and for all.

On April 6 she tweeted, “What’s up with this ridiculous story that Tyler left me? Like ok lol just so u kno we r together at home with our beautiful daughter. [People] are ridiculous.”

According to both Catelynn and Tyler’s social media accounts, the pair enjoyed a fun-filled Easter with their daughter.

Catelynn took to Instagram to share a photo of her fiancé taking a nap with their daughter and captioned it, “These two are my world and Easter is wonderful because they are a part of it…Everyday I wake up happy and excited to be a momma and a fiancé…Love you so much Novalee and Tyler…#myfamily #mylife.”

Meanwhile, Tyler posted a shot of Novalee with the caption, “Happy Easter from #NovaleeReign! #BabysFirstEaster.”

Last week, Tyler also shared a milestone on Instagram as he wrote, “Little Tootie is 3 months old already. Time really does fly when you’re a parent.”

According to reports, the couple is looking to have a summer wedding this year, though Catelynn and Tyler have yet to confirm the date of their upcoming nuptials.

For now, fans can see them on the latest season of “Teen Mom OG” which airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.

The wait for the debut of the highly anticipated spin-off series of the hit police procedural TV drama series “Criminal Minds” is finally over.

This week’s showing will serve as the backdoor-pilot episode for the new series “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.” It will focus on the international division of the FBI and its agents who assists American citizens that are in danger in foreign countries.

The kickoff episode, aptly titled “Beyond Borders,” will feature former “CSI: NY” star and Emmy Award winner Gary Sinise, who will play Jack Garrett.

A synopsis posted on The Futon Critic reads:

“When a family of four is abducted while on vacation in Barbados, the BAU is called to assist Unit Chief Jack Garrett (Sinise) and his International Unit on their investigation. Garrett and his unit, the FBI’s top division for handling cases involving Americans abroad, work jointly with Hotch and his team when they discover that this case matches one the BAU investigated last year in Florida.”

Speaking to TV Guide, executive producer Erica Messer reveals more details about the premise of the off-shoot series.

“We find out that this unsub eluded Jack’s team two years ago. He killed a family in Aruba and it [haunts] Jack that they weren’t able to catch him,” Messer said. “Last year, he got away from the BAU when he killed a family in Florida and now this year, he’s striking in Barbados, and we’re gonna get these two teams together to finally catch this guy.”

“Criminal Minds” Season 10 Ep. 19 airs this Wednesday, April 8 at 9 p.m. on CBS.

Christian Post Report – Last Sunday on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the unexpected happened as Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore made up, and the housewives had a blast as they went on a horseback ride to a volcano.

The ladies are still in Manila and are about to check out of the spa. They get on a chartered bus and Porsha and Demetria decide to have a little dance off in the bus. They arrive at the hotel and check in at the posh accommodations.

After two years of feuding, Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks make up and share a laugh on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Claudia arranges a horseback ride to the top of Taal Volcano for everybody, and the ladies appear to enjoy it as they took in the scenery, marveling at the volcano which is right in the middle of a lake. They also hit a few golf balls before getting back on the horses.

When they get to the bottom of a volcano, Phaedra has an emotional moment with her tour guide, who told her on the way down that her husband passed away a few years ago and that she has five children to support. Phaedra gives her some money and tells her through a translator that she doesn’t want her to give up, and that her story has blessed her.

Back at the hotel, Claudia hosts a pajama party, and everyone notices that Kenya and Phaedra are missing. Claudia tells them that the two are having a heart-to-heart talk.

At their one-on-one, Kenya tells Phaedra that she has a tendency to interrupt, so she wants to give her the floor to say what she’s feeling.

The two had their differences ever since Apollo lied about Kenya propositioning him. Though he already admitted that he lied, Phaedra had a hard time trusting Kenya.

“Hurt people do things to hurt other people sometimes,” said Phaedra. “I can’t change the past. I can only move forward. I’m ready to move forward, I’ve been ready.”

Kenya tells her that she was hurt by the name calling and that it hurt her reputation.

“You didn’t even treat me like a human being,” said Kenya. “I have never seen him in L.A. I have never propositioned him. I have never crossed a line with him, nor have I ever wanted to. I just need you to believe that.”

“Your slate is clear with me,” Phaedra sobs.

After the air clears, they agree to work on their relationship when they return to Atlanta. Phaedra invites Kenya to go to church with her when they get back. The two ends their conversation with a prayer and a hug.

The next day, over their last meal in the Philippines, the ladies applaud Phaedra and Kenya for doing the work. They all agree that Dr. Jeff really made an impact as for once, there’s peace among the housewives at last.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Christian Post Report – Monday night’s episode of “Dancing With the Stars” was an emotional one for the celebrity contestants as they recalled their most memorable year ever. While some told stories about their most triumphant moments, others talked about the time when they struggled with bullying, emotional pain, and challenges that they managed to overcome. The judges and audience members were moved to tears at some of the performances, and one pair almost got a perfect score at the end of the night, while another had to leave the competition for good.

Nastia picked 2008 as her most memorable year as she won her Olympic gold in gymnastics that time. Their tango to “Variations on Dark Eyes”—which is the same song she performed to at the Olympics—was praised by the judges, and Julianne Hough told her, “You nailed it in 2008, and you nailed it tonight.” The pair also got the first 10 of the season from Bruno Tonioli.

Robert said that 2006 was when his mother passed away of cancer. Though it was a sad year, their waltz was classy and happy, and a fitting tribute to his mother, who loved watching the show. Len Goodman said that it was his best dance. “You have the best technique and footwork of all the guys,” said Julianne.

Chris picked 2014 as his most memorable year—when he got picked as the new “Bachelor” and found his fiancée, Whitney Bischoff. Though Bruno said that their performance was genuine and honest, Julianne pointed out that they need to have more chemistry.

Patti danced to honor 1973, the year her son was born. Their jazz number was likened to a cup of cappuccino by Len, who said that it was “light and fluffy, fun and full of rhythm.” “That was out of control!” Carrie Ann said.

Rumer talked about how growing up with famous parents had its benefits, but it also put her in the spotlight as tabloids made fun of her looks. She said that her dance to honor 2014 was for her sister, who went to rehab at the time, and for all those who were bullied for the way they looked. “You’re dancing for every girl,” said Julianne. Bruno said that the dance was a reflection of who Rumer is: “beautiful, powerful, and unique.”

Suzanne said that her most memorable year was 1977, which was the year when she got a role in ‘Three’s Company’ and her life changed. They included a short skit of the sitcom in their foxtrot, and Julianne said that Suzanne was “totally in your element.”

Willow said that 2011 was her most memorable year because that was when she was cast in ‘The Hunger Games’. Their contemporary dance got raves from the judges and earned them three perfect 10s. “It is great to see somebody so young doing so well,” said Bruno. “That was fantastic,” said Len.

Noah’s most memorable year was 2005, when, during his second deployment to Iraq, he didn’t see a trip wire on the road and it blew up. He woke up nine days later to discover that he lost an arm and a leg. He said that he got depressed, but eventually he accepted it and was able to move on. The judges were moved to tears, and Julianne said, “You astonish us every single week.” Bruno said, “You want a super hero, there he is.”

In the end, Michael Sam was eliminated. “Please give my partner a hand, she was amazing,” said Michael of Peta. “I had a great time, I had an awesome time experience.”

“Dancing With the Stars” airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
