Christian Post Report – Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are photographed at Whole Foods in Nashville.

Pop artist Taylor Swift and EDM DJ Calvin Harris seem to have declared to the rest of the world that they are dating. The pair has been seen out together the past few weeks, watching concerts and other events, the latest one being the Haim concert in West Hollywood on April 2.

Eyewitness accounts shared and reported in Hollywood Life said that the pair were “kissing” and “dancing” during the Haim concert at the Troubadour Club. Photos were also circulating online showing Taylor sitting on Calvin’s lap at one point in the night. After the concert, they were seen and photographed leaving the club holding hands. Some reports also cited their matching outfits.

Prior to this, the pair made another public appearance at the Kenny Chesney concert last March 25 in Nashville, where Taylor performed a song with Chesney. Concert goers, according to a report in ET Online, saw the pair walking hand in hand and at one point during the concert, Calvin had his arms around Taylor.

Before this, they were spotted at Whole Foods Nashville doing some grocery shopping together, also in matching outfits. As it turns out, Calvin may have taken a quick break from his hectic schedule — he was supposed to be in Brazil for a music festival — just to see Taylor who was rehearsing for her upcoming tour in Nashville, according to an E! Online report.

In late February, the rumor mill about Taylor’s love life was once again turning when she was reportedly seen cozying up with Calvin during the BRIT Awards after party. These rumors however were shot down by a subsequent report saying that Calvin was currently dating someone.

A few weeks after, according to a report in MTV, it was rumored that Calvin chartered a private jet so that Taylor and her friends could watch his concert in Las Vegas.

Christian Post Report – Miami Heat point guard Mario Chalmers

Mario Chalmers is in his seventh season with the Miami Heat, winning two NBA championships in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 season.

Earlier in the season, it appeared that Heat coach Erik Spoelstra was trying to find the perfect fit for the guard, starting him on point and sometimes shooting guard as Chalmers tried to settle in to his role.

The Heat had drafted point guard Shabazz Napier for added depth but ultimately traded off Norris Cole in a three-team trade which involved the New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns and Heat.

In the trade, the Pelicans acquired Cole, Shawne Williams and Justin Hamilton, the Suns got John Salmons, Danny Granger, Hamilton after his contract was bought out, and two first-round picks from Miami. And finally, the Heat acquired brothers Goran and Zoran Dragic, adding strength in the point guard position, but placing Chalmers’ role in question.

Naturally, Dragic was slotted automatically into the starting role, and star Dwyane Wade is on the number two spot, which leaves Chalmers in a tough position.

With all the change that had taken place, the 6-foot-1 guard has now questioned his role on the team.

“I don’t even really know what my role is on this team anymore,” Chalmers told The Miami Herald. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing.”

His movement from point to shooting guard has been a result of players being injured and him being placed as a temporary solution – a decision that frustrates and baffles him. Chalmers understands the situation and revealed that it isn’t easy.

“A lot of people are out of rhythm, and you really don’t know what’s going to happen — when you’re going to get the ball, when you’re going to shoot it, you just never know. You just got to be ready for everything, I guess,” he continued.

As the Heat continue their push towards the playoffs, it should be interesting how this plays out, and to see what Mario’s future holds in Miami.

Chalmers’ importance to the Heat was evident as when he played his rookie season as a starter at age 22. He played 82 games and was in the starting five every game as he averaged 10.0 points, 4.9 assists and 2.0 steals in 32 minutes per night.

In their first championship run, Chalmers was also a very important factor in the team as he averaged 11.3 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field.

When they played against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals, “Super Mario” was a constant thorn on Russell Westbrook’s side, with the Heat guard using his size and strength to throw off his athletic rival.

And with LeBron James leaving for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the start of the season, many thought that he was one of the players due to step-up as the Heat started to rebuild past the era of the King.

PCUSA Stalling Korean Church’s Effort to Leave Denomination?

A Presbyterian Church (USA) regional body located in California has been accused of putting a Korean congregation’s effort to leave the mainline denomination to a standstill.

Christian Post Report – Last year, Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Rowland Heights voted overwhelmingly to seek dismissal from PCUSA over the denomination’s growing acceptance of homosexuality.

Out of 817 votes casted in the March 2014 vote, 738 voted to leave, 74 voted to stay, and 5 votes were dismissed.

Despite that, the PCUSA Presbytery of San Gabriel has not apparently finalized the dismissal as of this month, according to the Korean-American Christian publication Christianity Daily.

Rachael Lee of Christianity Daily wrote that “over a year later, the church has yet to be completely dismissed from the PCUSA.”

“Based on the San Gabriel Presbytery’s [Gracious Dismissal Policy], if 75 percent or more of a church congregation votes to be dismissed from the presbytery to join another body, the presbytery would then vote regarding the congregation’s dismissal in its next meeting,” reported Lee.

“However, since the church’s vote in March 2014, the presbytery has never voted specifically on the status of GSPC’s dismissal.”

The largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States, PCUSA has garnered much controversy over its growing acceptance of homosexuality and gay marriage.

Decisions at their General Assembly meetings over the past few years have annually prompted scores of churches to vote to leave the denomination.

Most recently, PCUSA approved an amendment to their Book of Order changing their definition of marriage from “a man and a woman” to “two people, traditionally a man and a woman.”

Known as Amendment 14-F, the measure succeeded in getting the necessary number of yes votes from more than 170 presbyteries of PCUSA.

On their website, the Presbytery of San Gabriel still lists Good Shepherd of Rowland Heights as part of their member churches despite last year’s vote.

In a late January meeting, the leadership of San Gabriel did consider the process at Good Shepherd, however, they still looked to “review” the matter in accordance with their dismissal policy.

“Conduct an administrative review of the session and its responsible management of the church’s worship and congregational life as a community of faith, hope, love and witness and the management of the physical property of the congregation for the furtherance of its mission,” read a document about the meeting.

Neither the Presbytery of San Gabriel nor Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Rowland Heights returned comment to The Christian Post by press time.

The Boston Bruins will try to extend their winning streak to six games as they face the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center. The game is Wednesday, April 8, 2015, and the puck drops at 8 p.m. ET.

The Capitals have already secured their place in the playoffs as they are second in the Metropolitan Division with 99 points.

Meanwhile, the Bruins currently hold the last playoff spot in the Atlantic but have to fend off the Detroit Red Wings, who are trying to take away their place.

The Red Wings and Bruins are tied on points but the advantage goes to Boston and with only three games left in the regular season, the Bruins should try and get as much points as they can.

Impressive performances in their last five games have seen Boston beat strong teams like the Red Wings and the New York Rangers. Their most recent win came off the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 2-1 shootout victory. Patrice Bergeron opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the game and also supplied the winning goal in the shootout to give Boston two points.

On the other hand, Washington have won four of their last five games. In that run they beat the Rangers, the Montreal Canadiens, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Red Wings.

Despite losing to the Ottawa Senators, the Capitals still managed to get a point with the match reaching overtime.

In the win over the Red Wings, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Mike Green scored to give Washington a 2-0 lead in the game and prevented any comeback from Detroit.

As for the pivotal match-up between Boston and Washington, a slight advantage is given to the Capitals as they have won their first two meetings of the season. In those two matches, Boston failed to score a single goal while the Capitals netted six total goals.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul launched a new website to announce that he is running for President in 2016 and formally addressed the public in Louisville, Kentucky, with a speech that focused on poverty, the national debt and radical Islam.

Kelley Paul, Rand’s wife, spoke and introduced her husband as a “different kind of legislator.”

“I have a message — a message that is loud and clear and does not mince words — we have come to take our country back,” Paul opened. “We’ve come to take our country back from special interests that use Washington as a personal piggy bank … the Washington machine that gobbles up our freedom must be stopped. Yet once again the world is presented with the horrific specter of human butchery and barbaric savagery perpetrated by radical Islamist jihadists. A Somali terrorist group, al-Shabaab, attacked the Garissa University campus in Kenya last Thursday, slaughtering nearly 150 students, executing many of them specifically because of their Christian faith. Eyewitnesses said that when the captive students could not recite an Islamic creed they were summarily executed.

Christian Post Report – This savage attack is merely the latest in a series of such violent attacks perpetrated by the al-Shabaab terrorist group. They have murdered hundreds of Kenyans in churches, on public transport, and perhaps most infamously, in the terrible 2013 massacre at the upscale Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya.

Perhaps even more chilling was the news that one of the terrorist killers, Abdirahim Mohammed Abdullahi, 24, killed by security forces along with three other attackers, was the son of a prominent Kenyan government official and “a brilliant upcoming lawyer.”

Taken together with the targeting and killing of Christians by Islamist militants in countries such as Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and Nigeria, the world is witnessing a slow- motion genocide of Christians in the Middle East. The April 3rd edition of Newsweek’s cover declares, “Targeting Christians In The Middle East, Believers are Fleeing or Being Killed.” The accompanying article, titled “The New Exodus. After Years of Slow But Steady Decline, Christians are Being Driven from the Middle East by ISIS,” tells the sad, tragic story of ancient Christian communities being brutalized and extinguished by ISIS militants.

Sony may have let the Consumer Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress pass, but it does not mean it is giving up on its Android flagship lineup.

Just last week, a mysterious device has passed FCC in the U.S., and while it does not confirm anything just yet, its specs allegedly resemble that of rumors buzzing around the Internet for months.

Now, in a report by Phone Arena, it seems the release date for the Sony Xperia Z4 will be sooner than we think, as more leaked images of the device surface.

The first image shows the Android phone’s screen and its bezels, the second picture focuses the device’s 20.7 camera, while the third image shows some setting details.

In a leaked GFXBench benchmark file, the Xperia Z4, which reportedly goes by the model number E6553, will boast a 5.1-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM, an octa-core CPU that is clocked at 1.9GHz, and a 32GB built-in memory.

Other important specs include the latest Qualcomm 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset, a microSD card slot, and a huge 3,400mAh battery.

The camera department has the 20.7MP main shooter and a 5MP front cam, while the IP68 certification protects the device from liquids in depths of up to 4.9 feet, and up to 30 minutes.

The device will run on Android 5.0 or even 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

Considering that Samsung and HTC have both announced their respective flagships, and LG will be unveiling its G4 later this month, Sony could make its move soon as well.

Christian Post Report – The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to dominate in the remaining weeks of the NBA 2014-15 season.

After a bland start at the season, the Cavs have definitely turned things around in the past month, winning eight of their last 10 games, with the surging Bulls its most recent victim.

In that game over Chicago on Sunday night, Cleveland drained 16 three-pointers, keeping their Central Division rivals at bay, for a 99-94 win. LeBron James posted 20 points, 12 assists and 10 boards – his first triple-double after returning to Cleveland. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving and J.R. Smith had 27 and 24 points respectively.

Meanwhile, it was Dunleavy who kept the Bulls within striking distance, scoring 24 markers, while Aaron Brooks added 17.

The Cavs’ win against the Bulls could be a sign of things to come, especially that fans of both ball clubs are predicting a possible clash in the Conference Finals.

However, for Sunday’s game, both squads are still missing the services of their entire offensive arsenal – Kevin Love only had 11 points while Pau Gasol just scored 12.

The Bulls are expecting Derrick Rose to make a comeback by the end of the season, more than a month after he underwent another knee injury on Feb. 27.

As for LeBron and company, they are now the hottest team in the league, winning 31 of their last 38 games since Jan. 15.

Roku 3 media streaming set top boxes got a new upgrade recently, with its new hardware providing users with voice search, and faster movement between apps and channels.

American digital manufacturer, Roku Inc. has refreshed its second and third generation set top boxes on Monday, providing users with voice search capabilities and faster turnarounds when switching between channels and apps.

Customers who purchase Roku 3’s higher-end set top boxes will be provided with a package that comes with a microphone, a remote control and a headphone jack for private listening. The new voice search comes in the form of a default pop-up when users press the search button on the remote.

Voice search allows users to search for the content they want to see via verbal commands on the microphone. This new voice search option is exclusive for Roku 3 at $99.99.

Another update comes in the form of the Roku Feed, which will also appear on Roku 2 and other current generation set top boxes and TVs running on Roku software. This performance update gives users the option to follow popular in-theater films, and receive updates when their movie choices show up on other channels, or when a price drop is available. The Roku Feed can be found under the TV home screen’s My Feed tab.

Roku 2 has also been upgraded to improve its speed and performance without the need for the enhanced remote that comes with the Roku 3. Roku 2 new set top boxes are currently priced at $69.99.

Roku has also made it possible for users to search for specific channels via the Roku Channel Store, speeding up the process of finding favorite channels like HBO GO, CBS News, and Sling TV among the more than 2,000 channels with 250,000 TV shows and movies available on Roku.

The new features have just been released for all current generation consoles and TV models, and is expected to be available for all devices by the end of April.

Square Enix has just gone live with the first part of their reveal for “Project CKP,” a title currently under development by one of its western studios.

After announcing it would release hints of the upcoming interactive game codenamed “Project CKP” via Twitch stream, Japanese video game developer and publisher, Square Enix debuted their first live stream piece of “Can’t Kill Progress” on the Twitch channel today.

The teaser footage shows a man locked in a futuristic-looking prison cell and pacing its confines. The clip is set to play for three consecutive days before it reportedly culminates into a full reveal of the new game.

Viewers will be given the opportunity to vote during various points of the looping footage to decide what is presumably to be the fate of the prisoner featured in the teaser.

The looping teaser video shows the prisoner lying on the floor, getting up, pacing and cursing at his behind-the-scene captors, and even touching the electrified walls. The prisoner is presumably tormented with piped-in classical folk music, and gets his jacket stolen by a man with a metallic prosthetic arm.

The stream also directs viewers to a fuzzy and glitchy video, which upon closer examination shows the prisoner undergoing torture.

From the futuristic sci-fi theme featured in the looping clip and the presence of the robot-armed man, gaming insiders are speculating the upcoming game may have some connection with cyberpunk role playing shooter game, Deus Ex, particularly following a statement made by David Anfossi, Square Enix’s Montreal studio chief, who announced in 2013 that Deus Ex may be expanding its universe significantly in the future.

The final voting for the game will end on April 8, Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time and 4:30 p.m. UK time, finally revealing the full Square Enix teaser.
