Xiaomi Mi4 Release Date News: Chinese Brand’s High-End Smartphone Makes Its Way to India

Xiaomi has slowly but surely won the hearts of its countrymen in the smartphone industry thanks to its super affordable pricing schemes. The company’s current midsize flagship, the Xiaomi Mi4, has been in the market for some time now.

Christian Post Report – However, the Chinese manufacturer began offering the 64GB version of the Mi4 in India’s biggest online retailer Flipkart, according to GSM Arena. The offer, which began on March 28, now offers the high-end device to interested buyers in the Indian sub-continent.

Interested purchasers do not need to sign-up or register in order to buy. Users can buy the 64GB Xiaomi Mi4 directly from the Flipkart website. The Android-powered handset costs INR 23,999 or about $384.

Meanwhile, the China-based company may be launching another smartphone with a super affordable price tag. The device will be strictly within the entry-level category.

The Xiaomi handset reportedly packs a 4.7-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, 1GB of RAM, a Leadcore LC1860 chipset, quad-core Cortex-A7 CPUs clocked at 1.6GHz, and 8GB of built-in memory.

Other specs include a microSD card slot for storage expansion, an 8MP primary camera, 2MP front shooter, and LTE connectivity.

As Xiaomi keeps on doing everything to sell its smartphones at a cheap cost, it is already on its way to selling 100 million smartphones this year.

Keith and Kristyn Getty are the preeminent married musicians and songwriters from North Ireland.

Christian Post Report – The Gettys are being recognized for their brand of hymnals all around the world, and now CBS has decided to devote a feature on the couple who has left their stamp on a unique form of worship music.

On Easter Sunday April 5, at 9:00 a.m. ET, CBS will profile the husband and wife recording artist duo, The Gettys.

“Celebrated modern hymn writers and recording artists, Keith and Kristyn Getty will be the subject of a feature profile on CBS Sunday Morning to air this Easter Sunday,” a statement obtained by The Christian Post reads. “For the segment, which is titled In The Spirit, the Gettys were interviewed in their Nashville home by CBS News correspondent Tracy Smith and recorded while performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on St. Patrick’s Day.”

Last year, Keith Getty revealed that he and his wife purposely avoided trying to follow the popular sounds of today to stay relevant.

“I know the value of what we try to do, we try to write music in the traditional melody or classical structure. It’s not music that’s tied to any particular popular form,” Keith previously told The Christian Post. “It doesn’t stand out in 2014 so it’s not on the radio as much, but at the same time in 2019 it won’t sound out of date. We try to incorporate it with historical church music, what has been going on in the past, because I think the true way to be futuristic is to learn from the past.”

Still, more current artists such as Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Owl City, Newsboys, Mercy Me, Natalie Grant, Passion/Kristian Stanfill, and Heather Headley have opted to record music created by the Gettys. While Keith acknowledged that it was an honor to witness popular modern day musicians record his songs, he also said it was not his intention to have them do so.

“Honestly, what makes me most excited is to hear congregations singing these hymns. I didn’t write these songs for artists to cut them,” Keith previously told CP. “But when an artist records them, obviously it’s a privilege. It’s also interesting to hear their interpretation of it and useful for the song because it helps the song get played more.”

Racing fans, especially F1 racing fans, got some good news a few days ago: Codemasters, the game developer of “F1 2015” has announced that it will release the new game for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on June 12, 2015.

The “F1 2015” game is a racing video game based on the 2015 Formula One season. Developed by Codemasters, it is the seventh game of the Formula One series. The game is known for the use of Ego Game Technology Engine, which was developed by Codemasters and is an improvement on the Neon game engine that was used in an earlier racing game. The Ego Engine is able to “render more detailed damage and physics as well as render large-scale environments.”

According to a report in Venture Capital Post, the developer shared that it is working on graphic and presentation improvements on the following aspects of the game, including engine and transmission, aerodynamics, fuel tank, force feedback and suspension. They also said that they have a “new tire physics model.” All these improvements are meant to give the player a very “realistic representation of how these cars handle on the track.”

Among the new features that players can expect in the new game is a broadcast style that is reminiscent of real race-day broadcasts. Among the modes available are an updated Championship Season mode, a new Pro Season mode, Quick Race and Multiplayer, which were not present in the 2014 game.

For Xbox One and PS4 users, users can make use of voice commands which can be done through Kinect and the PlayStation Camera, to ask for race information, weather updates, tire status, request tire changes and front wing changes through a pit stop.

An added bonus to the game is the bonus content which will include officially licensed cars, drivers, and tracks from the 2014 Formula One World Championship.

‘Jesus is my hero,’ award-winning worship singer Kirk Franklin told the crowd Saturdan evening at Harvest America, Sept. 28, 2013.

Christian Post Report – Kirk Franklin is making it clear that there is a distinct difference between ministry and business.

Franklin, the 45-year-old gospel music choir director turned songwriter, is usually vocal about his stance on Christian values. He took to Twitter recently to speak about the difference between ministry and business.

“If you help someone who’s in need and expect something in return, thats not called being like Jesus…that’s called business,” Franklin tweeted. “There’s nothing wrong with business, just don’t pimp it as ministry.”

The gospel music veteran is no stranger to the industry and even heads his own Fo Yo Soul record label. Franklin previously spoke to The Christian Post about the goal for his own music label.

“We’re trying to create content that is very culturally forward without compromising the push of the gospel,” he previously told CP.

The musician has mastered the art of creating quality gospel music for two decades and insisted that the most important quality in the music is sincerity.

“It should reflect wherever we are and our personal spiritual growth with God. If that’s not our top priority, then our artform is going to be very shallow,” Franklin told CP. “It should not be just for the sole purpose of the artform itself…if it’s that, we’ll suffer. We have to make sure people can feel the sincerity of our own testimony and our own journey so they know this is something that is really real for us.”

Christian Post Report – Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are preparing to begin their life together as the couple has been looking for a new place in New York City, according to reports.

The singer has reportedly been searching for properties in the $15 to $20 million range, with outdoor space or terrace, near her parents Cynthia and Joe’s place on West 70th street for her and her fiancé.

“Gaga is looking for a penthouse on the Upper West Side near her childhood home, where her parents still live. She is looking at apartments at around 4,000 square feet, with high ceilings and outdoor space,” a source told The New York Post’s Page Six.

The “Telephone” singer has been living on Central Park South for more than two years, and recently said that the terrace mattered most to her, because her fame made it hard for her to be outdoors in public.

“The most important thing to me about this place is I can come out here and stand outside. That’s the best thing. I miss going outside,” she told MTV News. She also revealed that she often has to go outside in disguise.

“Such is life, I’m blessed in many ways,” she added.

The website reports that the singer has also paid $24 million for an estate in Malibu, where she plans to marry Kinney. No wedding date has been mentioned as of the moment, but some information about her plans for the wedding have been revealed as of the recent weeks.

It has earlier been reported that her good friend Tony Bennett will sing at the wedding and that her sister Natali will be her maid of honor. The singer will reportedly serve food from her parents’ restaurant and that the wedding will be a “family celebration.” As of now, Lady Gaga is said to be working on the guest list, which includes Elton John.

Pink for a girl? The Duchess of Cambridge wearing a pink coat at her last official engagement raised speculations that the royal is about to have a baby girl.

Christian Post Report – Kate Middleton is currently on maternity leave as she prepares for the birth of her second child. The Duchess of Cambridge herself confirmed that she will be giving birth by mid to end of April at an event last week, and while she didn’t disclose whether she is having a boy or a girl, rumors regarding the gender of the baby have grown rampant over the past few weeks.

One of the most persistent rumors is that of the Duchess being pregnant with a baby girl. According to Mirror, the Duchess has reportedly been craving chocolate biscuits and sticky fruit loaves lately, and the website claims that the 33-year-old has been joking to pals that her penchant for sugary sweets could mean that she’s expecting a girl.

“Prince William has always had a sweet tooth, but Kate has really had sweet cravings during this pregnancy,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She could barely keep anything down in the first months of her pregnancy but recently she just cannot get enough of the treats.”

Meanwhile, there has been a flurry of activity regarding the name of the baby girl, and while the Prince and the Duchess are said to have no idea about the gender of the baby, bookmakers have slashed the odds on the baby being named Alice, followed by Elizabeth, Charlotte, and Victoria.

Betting on royal babies’ due dates and names is nothing new in Britain, where online betting is legal. Bookmakers racked in a total of $24 million before Prince George’s birth in 2013, according to “Today.”

A spokesman from bookmaker William Hill told People that over 70 percent of their customers believe that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are having a baby girl.

“We have seen a significant number of bets, particularly from the Tunbridge area,” said the spokesman. “You have to think there is a good reason for the gamble.”

‘Hellblade’ PS4, PC Release Date News: No Launch Date for PlayStation Yet, But PC Version in the Works

Independent game developer Ninja Theory has revealed that they are also working on a PC version of the upcoming third-person action game “Hellblade.” The announcement comes so many months after the PlayStation Gamescomm Press Conference when they announced that “Hellblade” was in development exclusively for the PS4.

According to a report in GameRant, Ninja Theory is an independent game developer who would like to start independent “AAA” gaming that means being able to create the game that you want the way to want it and publish it without “being beholden to publishers.” “Hellblade” is the studio’s first such attempt at independent “AAA” gaming.

“Hellblade” is also being likened to the other game that Ninja Theory created for PS3 called “Heavenly Sword.” Both games feature a female protagonist and both games have them fighting off evil using a sword. The studio has however denied that there is a link between the two. The report further says that the game will bring: “ninja-class combat, strong character stories and a unique art vision.”

In another report in Venture Capital Post, the studio’s creative chief Tameem Antoniades revealed the reasons why they started looking at PC.

“I think PC offers us a level of freedom that we haven’t had before,” he said. They are also looking at a 4k resolution for the PC version as well as support for modifications.

The other thing that Ninja Theory would like to emphasize in their game development is the fact that they want fans and players to be able to contribute and add to the game.

“As an independent we have the freedom to do that. I think we want to get to the point where we can invite players and fans to add to the game, and do things that are unexpected, and suggest ideas or add-ons that can make the game richer,” he stated.

There is no definite release date for either the PS4 or the PC version.

The cast of TV One’s ‘To Hell And Back’

Christian Post Report – Easter weekend usually promises audiences its fair share of plays and films centered around the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but TV One has decided to use the time to air a modern retelling of the biblical book of Job.

In TV One’s Easter weekend premiere of the film To Hell And Back, God and Satan are having a conversation about the faith of a successful businessman named Joe Patterson. Much like the biblical book of Job, God gives Satan permission to inflict harm on Joe’s family and possessions, which proves to be a test of his faith.

Joe, played by Ernie Hudson, is tested like never before when tragic events take place one after the other despite his humanitarian efforts and strong faith. Vanessa Bell Calloway, the veteran actress who plays Joe’s wife Janine in “To Hell And Back,” spoke to The Christian Post about the film that she believes many people will be able to relate to.

“When I read the script, it was about the challenges that we all face, faith, patience, how much can one take,when do you give up and when do you keep going,” Bell Calloway told CP. “These are the issues that we all have to deal with regularly just in everyday life.”

Bell Calloway initially signed onto the project knowing the film’s director, Christine Swanson, whom she spoke about in high regard. Aside from being a fan of Swanson’s work and having built a relationship with TV One after producing a previous project for the network, the Catholic actress was drawn to the deeper faith elements found in “To Hell And Back.”

“We all challenge the basis of faith, do I stay, do I go, how much do i take, do i stop,” Bell Calloway told CP. “[The film] attracted me because of what life already is as I know it.”

As Joe’s wife Janine in the TV One movie, Bell Calloway portrayed a character that dealt with ailing health, death and the loss of earthly possessions. The actress opened up about preparing for the role of the woman who had to watch her husband and family fall on tough times.

“I read the script and I went into myself and thought how I would be if I was this woman. How would I deal with it,” she reflected on the experience, while speaking with CP. “I’ve lost a brother so I know what that’s like, I’ve lost grandparents, I’ve lost family members so I don’t have to prepare for that, that’s just life. You dig into your own life and recognize what people are going through around you.”

Even if audiences may not relate to Joe and Janine’s loss of prosperity, or the death that their family encounters in “To Hell And Back,” Bell Calloway said the faithful message is one that people from all different walks of life could identify with.

“It’s about patience and faith and how much can you take. I think the message is very clear when you see it,” she told CP. “[People will] find their own journey in it, they’ll find people they know in it, they’ll find themselves in it. They’ll take away from it what speaks to them but I think it’s very clear that this is about faith and how much faith do you have.”

“To Hell And Back” will make its debut on TV One Saturday, April 4 at 8 P.M. E.T.

Christian Post Report – After clashing during the first five seasons of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak are reuniting as the two will be hitting the road for a new reality show. The show titled “NeNe and Kim: The Road to Riches” will see the two ladies leaving Atlanta and making their way across the country.

Years after they bickered on RHOA, the two first reconciled in 2013, after they both tweeted about having an emotional conversation where they declared a truce.

At the time, Leakes wrote on Facebook, “Couldn’t believe I had the best chat with Kim Zolciak yesterday. Then took a moment to reflect and it made me cry. This is too much.”

In a recent interview with E! News, Leakes and Zolciak said that they couldn’t wait to work together again.

“Well, one of the things I’m most excited about is working with Kim, just the two of us,” Leakes said. “I just left ‘Housewives’ where I was working with like, six monsters.”

Though the two had their ups and downs in the past, Leakes said that they’re now in a good place.

“Working on a show like [Real Housewives] tears friendships apart,” she revealed. “It’s hard.”

“It will be good not having anyone interfering with NeNe and I,” said Zolciak. “We’re back to where we started 12 years ago, no other noise. No other people talking nonsense. It will just be her and I and we have a really good time.”

Both ladies said that being on the new show is an opportunity for them to get away from the “Real Housewives” drama.

“People get tired of watching the drama,” said Zolciak. “We’re just going to have fun. It will be good for me to get away, all the kiddos, get a break.”

No premiere date has been announced for “NeNe and Kim: The Road to Riches” yet.
