Pro-life groups are commending the Trump administration after it kept abortion-related language out of a United Nations resolution on “Women, Peace and Security” and urged members to stop using phrases such as “sexual and reproductive health” in U.N. documents  

The U.S. Security Council passed the resolution last week, but the U.S. split from the United Kingdom, France, South Africa and other nations over the issue of abortion.

Unlike multiple past resolutions on women’s issues, the new resolution does not reference abortion or reproductive health. 

Susan Yoshihara of the Center for Human and Family Rights called it a “victory for the Trump administration” and a “blow to Europeans who insist that abortion be funded as humanitarian aid.” 

It isn’t the first time the U.S. has taken such a stance under Trump. In April, the U.S. threatened a veto if language affirming “sexual and reproductive health” wasn’t deleted from a resolution on sexual violence. Eventually, it was removed.    

Although the new resolution does not reference abortion, it does mention previous documents that included such language. For example, it mentions resolution “1889 (2009)” – a document that affirmed “sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights.”

Actress Patricia Heaton says she hopes Kanye West stays strong in his faith despite, inevitably, being ridiculed for his faith.

James MacDonald, founding pastor of Harvest Bible Church, has been formally disqualified from ministry.

The elders of Harvest Bible Church shared the announcement with the church congregation Sunday, saying that MacDonald “was biblically disqualified from the position of Elder, meaning he did not meet the spiritual standards to which a Harvest Bible Chapel Elder is held.”

In a letter read to the congregation Sunday, Elder Karl Jackson said the elders were thankful for MacDonald’s service to the church, but he is not “above reproach.”

Jackson said MacDonald was fired from the elder board in February for “having a ‘sinful pattern of inappropriate language, anger, and domineering behavior,'” the elders stated.

“You may be wondering why we’re coming to you now, months after James’ dismissal. As we spent time with the congregation and visited all of our campuses, it became clear that there was confusion over the previous statements about our former Senior Pastor. We are here today to provide clarity to our church family and to those who listened to and supported Walk in the Word, a ministry of Harvest Bible Chapel.”

Anne Graham Lotz, often called “the best preacher in the family” by her late father Rev. Billy Graham, said that President Donald Trump’s decision to pull troops from Syria could be part of a divine plan that could herald “the last of the Last Days.”

“Whether the president is aware of it or not, God has placed him in office,” Lotz said during an Oct. 30 interview on The Jim Bakker Show. “The Bible tells us that [about leaders], that He puts people in office.

“God has used [Trump] in an amazing way to stand up for life, to stand up for the Nation of Israel, appoint judges that abide by the Constitution and the rule of law.”

Lotz, the sister of the Rev. Franklin Graham, went on to say that she initially voted for Trump because she could not support the policies of his rival, Hillary Clinton.

“Then I became a supporter, and I’m almost a fan,” she said before shifting the conversation to foreign policy, admitting she was a bit perplexed by the president’s decision to leave Syria, which leaves the Kurdish community exposed to Turkey.
