Body confirmed by police as Joy Morgan’s

The woman was murdered by a member of her extremely private church, Shohfah El-Israel, who attended the Israel United In Christ church in Ilford, East London.

Police were called by a member of the public at 7.43am on Saturday 5th October to report they had found what they suspected to be a human body in Stevenage.

The body was found in woodland off Chadwell Road, just outside of an area previously searched by officers.

Joy was last seen in Ilford on 26th December 2018 at a church party and in August this year, Shohfah El-Israel, 40, was found guilty of her murder.

He is currently serving a life sentence with a minimum term of 17 years.

A post-mortem carried out on Tuesday could not establish the cause of death and further tests will be carried out.

Detective Chief Inspector Justine Jenkins, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “My thoughts are with Joy’s family at this difficult time and while nothing can end their pain, I hope that this gives them closure and I am glad that they will now have the opportunity to say goodbye to Joy.”

Carol Morgan, Joy’s mum, said: “Joy was so beautiful and completely lived up to her name – she brought joy to all our lives. Our family has been living a nightmare and we miss her so, so much. Joy was studying to be a midwife and would have graduated by now. I know she would have been amazing…

Mom of Down Syndrome Child Wins ‘Wrongful Birth’ Suit, Could Get $245,000

Mom of Down Syndrome Child Wins ‘Wrongful Birth’ Suit, Could Get $245,000

A British court on Tuesday sided with a mother who had filed a “wrongful birth” suit after she gave birth to a baby with Down syndrome, she says she would have aborted.

The case – which has sparked pushback by individuals with Down syndrome and advocates, too – began when Edyta Mordel became pregnant and booked a prenatal screening for Down syndrome. The sonographer, though, failed to carry it out.

The sonographer “knew, or ought to have known, Ms. Mordel had indicated provisionally she wanted Down screening,” the judge ruled.

Once her baby was born, she sued the National Health Service, saying she would have aborted the baby had she known the prognosis. The child, a boy, is now four.

Mordel’s attorneys are wanting about $245,000 (USD). The BBC reports the payout is expected to be six figures.

“Nothing I have said should be interpreted as suggesting that the birth of a child with Down syndrome must be seen as unwelcome,” the judge wrote.

Mordel, now 33, says she is devoted to her child. During the trial, she said she knew someone with Down syndrome before her baby was born.

“I saw how difficult his life is, and I would not have continued my pregnancy,” she said, according to the Daily Mail. “I would not have wanted a disabled child, and I would not have wanted my child to suffer the way disabled people suffer. I…

More Fetal Remains Discovered in Abortion Doctor Ulrich Klopfer’s Car

More Fetal Remains Discovered in Abortion Doctor Ulrich Klopfer’s Car

Even more aborted babies’ remains have been found in abortionist Ulrich Klopfer’s car this week, according to the Christian Post. The Will County Sheriff’s Office believes the number is “less than 100.”

“The remains recovered were preserved, packaged, and marked similarly to the previous [2,246] fetal remains discovered at the Klopfer residence on Sept. 12,” a statement from the sheriff’s office said. “All of the items and information observed by detectives and crime scene investigators today, coincide with the previously known information that the fetal remains were from the time period of 2000-2002 when Dr. Klopfer was performing abortions in the state of Indiana.”

The remains were found in a 1990 Mercedes Benz, one of eight cars owned by Klopfer and stored in a gated lot.

Earlier this year, after the 79-year-old abortionist died, authorities discovered thousands of medically preserved fetal remains in his garage, according to the IndyStar. Klopfer had lost his medical license in 2016 when allegations regarding abortions on 13-year-olds were made against the doctor. He had also previously failed to file proper paperwork for other abortions.

This repeated discovery of fetal remains has prompted Susan B. Anthony List’s State Policy Director Sue Swayze Liebel to petition Congress to pass the Dignity for Aborted Children Act. The policy would…

President Trump Encourages Inclusion of People with Down Syndrome in Awareness Month Message

President Trump Encourages Inclusion of People with Down Syndrome in Awareness Month Message

In celebration of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, the President released a message of encouragement and hope to the nation.

“We thank individuals with Down syndrome for their incredible contributions to their families, their communities, and our great Nation, and we pledge to empower them to achieve their full potential,” the statement said. “My Administration also renews its commitment to bring attention to and a deeper understanding of the challenges these remarkable Americans face, including their struggle against discrimination. Those thought to have Down syndrome also risk being subjected to the too-often terminations of their lives before birth.”

The month of October is dedicated to spreading awareness and celebrating the lives of those with Down syndrome. Nonprofits, such as Texas-based The Upside, promote the month by encouraging inclusion and 21 acts of random kindness.

“This is an opportunity once a year for us to really stress the importance of accepting people with Down syndrome just like they are anybody else and celebrating what they can do instead of focusing on what they can’t,” Executive Director of The Upside, Misti Brock, told Texoma’s Homepage.com.

Like Brock, Trump’s administration hopes the month brings inclusion of those with an extra copy of their 21st chromosome.

“This month is an important…

Church of Scotland to sell half its Aberdeen churches

The Aberdeen Presbytery review aims to dispose of 15 traditional buildings in order to “reshape the church estate” for “renewal and revitalisation”.

Rev Scott Rennie, planning convener for the Presbytery, told Premier the removal of these structures will help the Church serve congregations more effectively.

“There’s too many traditional buildings and not enough buildings of the kind we need for a modern way of being church.

The report also outlines plans to build a number of new buildings with up-to-date facilities and spaces to serve the local community.

Rev Rennie, of Queen’s Cross Parish Church, says that a number of congregations plan to “move out of traditional church buildings all together” to encourage worship within “community hubs”.

He explained that flexibility is an important part of being missional, saying: “We really have to let some of them go in order to generate the resources to build the new ones we want.

“In some cases, we’re better not to have a building because really church is about people, it’s about ministry and mission.

“Although often buildings are a great tool for these, sometimes in actual fact that gets in the way.”

Rennie argued that many people don’t feel comfortable entering traditional church buildings.

“We’re not seeking to remove a Christian presence [from Aberdeen] but very often, if our church looks too traditional and too imposing…

Christian Woman Killed in Kidnapping of Four Baptists in Nigeria

Christian Woman Killed in Kidnapping of Four Baptists in Nigeria

JOSNigeria, October 10, 2019 (Morning Star News) – Less than a week after Muslim Fulani herdsmen kidnapped six teenage girls from a Christian-run high school in north-central Nigeria, another attack in the same county led to the killing of a Baptist woman and the kidnapping of four others from the same church, sources said.

Muslim Fulani herdsmen killed Ezra Haruna, a member of Godiya Baptist Church in Ungwan Barau village, in an attack on the village near Udawa in Chikun County, Kaduna state, at 4 a.m. on Monday (Oct. 7), a church member told Morning Star News.

Four other church members, including Jummai Ido, the church pastor’s wife, were kidnapped in the attack, said Godiya Baptist Church member Joseph Umarau.

“Three others kidnapped also during the invasion are Luka Auta, Sale Auta [brothers] and Yakubu Audu,” Umaru told Morning Star News.

He said the armed herdsmen stormed the community and shot indiscriminately into houses, forcing residents to flee into bushes surrounding the village.

On Oct. 3 Muslim Fulani herdsmen kidnapped six Christian female students and two teachers from Engravers’ College, a Christian-run high school in Kakau village, also in Chikun County. The eight remain in captivity.

Kaduna Gov. Nasir el-Rufai told media on Friday (Oct. 4) that “bandits,” the term used by officials and Nigerian media reluctant to connect the…

Christians in danger as result of Turkish offensive

This week, Turkish forces have attacked northern Syria, where many Kurdish people live, as well as Arabs, Syrians and Christians, with the president of Turkey saying it is to prevent a ‘terror corridor’ and create a ‘safe zone’.

American troops were supporting Kurds in northern Syria until Presdent Trump withdrew them, something which is now being criticised for leaving Kurdish people and Christians in the region vulnerable to Turkish attack.

Evangelist Franklin Graham, a long-standing supporter of Donald Trump, wrote on social media that he was praying Trump would reconsider his move.

“The Kurds are the ones who have been leading the fight against ISIS in Syria. Also pray for the Christians who the Kurds have been protecting. They could be annihilated. Would you pray w/me that Pres. @realDonaldTrump will reconsider? Thousands of lives hang in the balance.”

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham also criticised Mr Trump, saying: “Mr. President, your decision regarding Syria is having grave consequences to our national security and that of our allies and partners.”

The Bishop of Truro, Rt Rev Philip Mountstephen, who wrote a report this year about the experience of Christians across the world, said: “the implications of recent events for FoRB in Syrian Kurdistan, Christian minorities included, could be very severe. Freedom of Religion or Belief is sacrosanct, not…

Ex-Drug Addict Baptized at Church He Vandalized 6 Months Earlier – ‘God Is Real’

Ex-Drug Addict Baptized at Church He Vandalized 6 Months Earlier – ‘God Is Real’

A homeless drug addict who broke into an Arkansas church and vandalized $100,000 worth of property was baptized at the same congregation six months later – all because the staff and church members displayed grace and got him much-needed help.

Brenton Winn, 23, was arrested in February after breaking into Central Baptist Church of Conway, Ark., and destroying $100,000 in church property. He threw the soundboard over the worship center balcony. He set part of the family life center on fire. He destroyed laptops. At the time, the church’s senior pastor, Don Chandler, told KTHV it was “about as messy of vandalism as you could possibly imagine.”

Winn, who was homeless and high on drugs, faced multiple charges and seemed destined for years behind bars.

But Chandler, while meeting with the prosecutor, chose to extend grace, according to Baptist Press. Chandler wanted Winn to get help.

“You can’t preach something for 50 years without practicing it, especially in front of your whole church,” Chandler told Baptist Press. “Had we not shown some grace to him, everything we’ve talked about and encouraged, would have gone by the wayside. It was simply the right thing to do. This was not a hardened criminal. This was a young man who had made some mistakes. He was on drugs and alcohol when he did what he did. But he was redeemable.”

Hailey Bieber Called ‘Fake Christian’ after Asking for Halloween Costume Suggestions

Hailey Bieber Called ‘Fake Christian’ after Asking for Halloween Costume Suggestions

Hailey Bieber, model and wife to popstar Justin Bieber, is facing criticism this week after asking her followers for Halloween costume suggestions.

According to Intouch Weekly, the 22-year-old model – who is outspoken about her Christian faith – took to her Instagram story on Wednesday to ask her 22.7 million followers what she should dress up as for Halloween. She wrote, “Spooky szn is upon us and I need good ideas for Halloween!! Send some my way.”

Bieber also shared photos of some of her previous Halloween costumes including Workout Barbie and Sandy from Grease.

The seemingly innocent request sparked backlash from some of her followers causing a handful to even question her Christian faith.

One person – who was seemingly confused by Bieber’s participation in the highly controversial holiday for people of faith – responded to her story asking, “Aren’t u a Christian?”

Bieber issued a simple response saying, “Yes, I still dress up for Halloween.”

Another person went as far as to accuse Bieber of being a “FAKE CHRISTIAN.”

Bieber wrote back saying, “Our kids are gonna celebrate too :).”

Others have come to her defense including Light Workers writer Kenneth Reid.

In an article on LightWorkers.com, Reid defended Bieber by breaking down why he believes Christians should celebrate Halloween. He…

Nike $3k ‘Jesus shoes’ sell out in minutes

24 pairs of the limited edition ‘Jesus shoes’, designed by Brooklyn-based creative label MSCHF were released online on Tuesday.

The re-purposed Nike Air Max 97s have been transformed to make several references to Jesus Christ, although Nike has no affiliation with the finished product.

The trainers’ air bubble sole has been filled with 60ml of holy water that has been sourced from the Jordan River and blessed by a priest, to allow wearers to “walk on water”, while a crucifix has been attached to one of the laces.

The Bible verse Matthew 14:25 is also referenced on the side of the shoe, together with a drop of red ink on the tongue of the trainer to symbolise the blood of Christ.

A link to the Catholic Church is also apparent in the form of a red sole – referencing the red Papal shoes traditionally worn outside by previous Popes.

Each pair of trainers has also been scented with frankincense.

MSCHF claims the concept behind the refurbished sneakers was to poke fun at the ‘absurdity’ of collaborations between businesses.

Speaking to the New York post, MSCHF’s head of commerce Daniel Greenberg said: “We thought of that Arizona Iced Tea and Adidas collab, where they were selling shoes that [advertised] a beverage company that sells iced tea at bodegas.

“So we wanted to make a statement about how absurd collab culture has gotten,” Greenberg added.

Greenberg went on to say that the label wanted to explore what a collaboration with “one of the most influential…
