Nigeria Church acquires US Mega Church Building

Salvation Ministries , a Nigerian Church acquires US Mega Church Building. Bishop David Ibiyeomie, Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries, Nigeria shares on how the Church acquired a MEGA Church property in United States for $10.

The Church property located at Birmingham, Alabama 35217 in United States and Formerly Called Central Baptist Church Now Called Salvation Ministries. Central Baptist church was founded and erected October 1923 in Tarrant, Alabama. It is located at 1225 E. Lake Blvd, Birmingham, Alabama, United States.

The property has been an integral part of the community for decades and comprises of 3 floors, fully equipped with an institutional kitchen that can prepare meals for 1,000 people at a time. It has two sanctuaries; the first ican seat 750 – 900 people (with two floors) and the second sanctuary seats 250 – 350 people.

The property comprises of two massive buildings joined together and both have three floors. The total number of rooms are 27-32. It has an administrative section which has a Pastors office and section for a secretary and offices for staff. It has over 9 lavatories and state of the art indoor gymnasium in the middle of the building which is large enough to seat up to 500 or more people and is furnished to host two basketball teams in a game. It also has changing rooms. Behind the sanctuary, there is a customized area for indoor baptism with views from the sanctuary. It has several rooms for children ministry, game rooms for entertainment, cloak rooms for choir members, a library, multiple storage rooms, a prayer room, over 4 grand pianos (top quality), three external entrances and parking for members, around the church premises.

There is also a plot of land that can be used to erect a live-in quarter in future. The property was insured for a monetary value of 7 million USD. The building itself has a square footage of 51,000 square ft. The previous Mayor of the city of Tarrant, the Honorable Loxcil B. Tuck was the mayor for 16 years (Longest serving female mayor in the history of the state of Alabama) until she retired in 2020. She was one of the trustees of Central Baptist Church in Tarrant.

In 2020, she and the trustees of the church where she has worshipped for over 40 years, decided that the time had come for them to hand the church to a aith and Bible-believing church, that would take it over and use it for the glory to God, to reach out and make great impact in the City of Birmingham and state of Alabama. They unanimously decided to reach out to Billy Graham Ministries, who they have so much respect for, based on the impact of the ministry globally.

When they reached out to Billy Graham Ministries, they were elated and appreciative but surprisingly, after talking amongst themselves, they decided that they would rather hand the building to another ministry that has great integrity and one that preaches and lives by the undiluted Word of God. They decided that the only ministry that fits the description, is no other than Salvation Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor David Ibiyeomie. The only condition given was for Salvation Ministries to make a one-time donation of $1,000 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

They reached out to Salvation Ministries and the Trustees of Central Baptist Church obliged them and by the favor of God, things moved quickly since October 2021 and on the 22nd of December 2021, the ownership of the property was transferred to Salvation Ministries, with Our Presiding Pastor, Billy Graham ministries and the church trustees in attendance. Salvation Ministries paid only a symbolic token of $10 for the building.

Guinness Beer Descendant Shares Insights on Spirituality, God, and Charity

Irishman Os Guinness presented his thoughts on “God and Guinness” at the Lux Forum of Napa Valley, founded by Napa resident Celeste White and husband Dr. Robert White.

Guinness is a direct descendant of Arthur Guinness who purchased a run-down brewery in  Dublin Ireland in the early 18th century and transformed it into the epitome of Irish beer.

The Guinness Beer family was known for its generosity and for its Christian faith and Os talked about the Guinness family commitment to quiet charity. Os began with an amusing anecdote about the family giving.

Over 100 years after the winery was started by Arthur Guinness, his grandson Benjamin Lee Guinness offered to save St. Patrick’s Cathedral which was being consider for demolition in 1865 since it was felt to be more expensive to save and renovate the structure than to demolish and save it. The Guinness family quietly offered to pay for the entire restoration as long as they could pick the architect and control the project. The cathedral thanked the Guinness family at the grand opening ceremony with a plaque that quoted the words of Jesus from the Gospel of John. “If anyone is thirsty he should come to me and drink.”

Os Guinness himself was born in mainland China prior to the Maoist revolution. His family had gone to China to be missionaries. Os was born in September 1941 and he is the great-great-great-grandson of Arthur Guinness, the Dublin brewer. His family was caught up in the Maoist Cultural Revolution and he lost family members there. He was able to return to England at age ten in 1951 for secondary school.

Guinness received a Bachelor of Divinity degree (honours) from the University of London in 1966 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oriel College, Oxford, in 1981, where he studied.

In the late 1960s, Guinness studied under the great American theologian, Francis Schaeffer in Switzerland at L’Abri, and, after Oxford, he worked as a freelance reporter for the BBC.

From 1986 to 1989, Guinness served as Executive Director of the Williamsburg Charter Foundation and was the leading drafter of the Williamsburg Charter, a bicentennial clarification and reaffirmation of the religious liberty clauses of the first amendment. He also co-authored the public school curriculum “Living With Our Deepest Differences.”

In 1991, along with Alonzo McDonald, he founded the Trinity Forum and served as Senior Fellow until 2004. Since then he has been a Senior Fellow with the EastWest Institute in New York, and is currently a Senior Fellow with the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics.

Guinness has lectured in many of the leading universities across the world, and in other major venues addressing political and business leaders. He has written 30 books and was the primary drafter of “The Global Charter of Conscience,” published at the European Union Parliament in Brussels in June 2014.

During this Lux Forum fireside chat Guinness discussed his childhood in China during the Cultural Revolution, the social movements of the 60s and 70s, and the origins of today’s political climate in the U.S.

He gave time for a lively discuss period of questions and answers that address the political divide in American, anecdotes comparing the governments of China and the United States, and his observations as a foreigner in America.

Os had great insights comparing the American Revolutionary War of 1776 and the French Revolution of 1789 and the differences in the underlying human freedoms that still resonate today.

Lux Forum exists to connect intellectually curious people with spiritual ideas. The non-profit, founded by Celeste White of Napa and husband Dr. Robert White of Napa, is a community of people desiring to live authentically, inspired by the wisdom of faith, as promulgated by the Judeo-Christian tradition, advancing the common good and contributing to human flourishing.

Pakistani Christian Teen Was Abducted, Forcibly Converted to Islam and Had 5 Forced Abortions

A teenage girl in Pakistan who was kidnapped in 2019, converted to Islam against her will, and was forcibly married to an older man, was rescued earlier this year and reunited with her family.

Joel Veldkamp, international communications officer for Christian Solidarity International (CSI), a Christian human rights organization, recently told Faithwire about Sadaf Khan’s tragic story — as well as her harrowing rescue.

“In February 2019, Sadaf was 14 years old and she was abducted from her home. She just disappeared. Her parents had no idea where she went,” Veldkamp explained. “And then … they got a notification from the police, ‘By the way, your daughter converted to Islam and now she’s married to a man who is much much older than she is.’” Sadaf’s parents, who are Christians in the Muslim-majority country, immediately fought back against the horrific news, hired a lawyer and took the man who had married their daughter to court. The teen showed up fully veiled and disallowed from speaking with her mom and dad. Despite being unable to see her facial expressions during the proceedings, they knew she was visibly uncomfortable and in “so much fear.” Veldkamp said the situation for Christians in Pakistan is anything but just, as Bible-believers are treated as “second-class citizens,” especially in situations in which people have been forcibly converted to Islam. Singer/Songwriter Tamara L. Wilson Releases New Single “The Lord’s Prayer”

On the heels of her critically acclaimed 4th EP “Let It Go”, singer/songwriter Tamara L. Wilson released a spiritually inspired new single “The Lord’s Prayer” on December 19th.

Says Tamara, “The inspiration for the music to ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ came to me from out of the blue! Early morning I awoke to the sound of music playing in my mind, and soon realized it was the music to ‘The Lord’s Prayer’. You see, I had been (and still am) saying this prayer morning and night. I spent the next eight days, morning, noon and night, working to record what I was hearing. With the help of my studio engineer, Tim Norris, it was ready for production.”

This rough draft was sent to the incredible talents of Joey Stuckey, Tom Rule, and Zack Crawford. Tom Rule did an outstanding job on piano, Zack programmed an awesome hip-hop groove, Joey laid down bass, then Zack brought it altogether in the mix. Doug Diamond did the final polish with the mastering.

Says Tamara, “Let me further give thanks to the beloved Elohim of Music, Mighty Cyclopea, as it was on His line of ‘the clock’ that the inspiration came. I am talking about ‘the Cosmic Clock’ teachings given by Mother Mary to Elizabeth Clare Prophet. Here is the link to the book if you are interested in learning more: https://store.summitlighthouse.org/predict-your-future-understand-cycles-of-the-cosmic-clock. Awesome book!”

Spreading love and positive vibes is Tamara L. Wilson’s mission for her music; and it’s a breath of fresh air. Her party started when she was only a girl, singing along with her ‘Papa’ and her Dad, in their down-home sing-alongs playing their guitars and singing gospel and country music. Tamara’s journey has always led her back to the melodies of her heart and soul.

Growing up in South Carolina, she started out singing locally and then worked the Marriott circuit for a while as a performing artist. Her songwriting really began to unfold while attending a community college in Mesa, AZ where she studied recording and piano. As soon as her hands hit the keys, she was awakened to her natural and God given talent of crafting a soulful song using her heartfelt vocals. Tamara’s true heart’s desire is to make others feel better and have a little fun while discovering her music.

“The Lord’s Prayer” along with the Instrumental version are Tamara’s latest works to be released. To date Tamara has released a full album “Paradise”, four EPs “Freedom”, “Your Own Kind Of Beautiful”, “A New World”, and “Let It Go”; plus six singles which include her latest releases along with “Freedom Flame”, “I and The Father”, “Time”, and “Little More Love”. She’s now on her way to the shallow end of the pool for a little fun and romance in her coming songs. Be on the lookout for these new releases beginning Spring of 2022.

In closing Tamara has this to impart, “I can only say that being blessed with the privilege of bringing the music to this powerful prayer to life, is truly an honor… As for what is next…well, first I need a minute! This project was a lot of hard work. Then, next I will be working on some fun and romantic songs at the shallow end of the pool. Been in some deep water; ready to lighten up and float for a while! Some of these songs will have a hip-hop groove, which is kinda fun to venture into; and some will have a more straight ahead country-pop crossover feel.”

Here’s what the press has said about Tamara L. Wilson:

“North Carolinian singer-songwriter’s fourth mini-album sends good vibes out to the world to establish her listener’s well-being.” – Let It Rock, Canada

“This is a well-produced album with a brilliant performance, creative songwriting talent and a superb recording.” – Oasis Entertainment, USA

“Tamara sings about being proud of who you are, no matter what anyone else thinks…a jolt of positivity that everyone could use right now.” – JP’s Music Blog, USA

Plumber Found Money in Wall of Lakewood Church and Church Hasn’t Reached Out to Him

The plumber who recently revealed to the Morning Bullpen at 100.3 The Bull in Houston, Texas that he found hundreds of envelopes filled with cash, checks, and money orders hidden in a bathroom wall of Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church is now voicing his disappointment that the megachurch’s pastor hasn’t reached out to him.

Local news station KPRC reported that the plumber, whose name is Justin, shared, “I wanted to hear [Osteen] say, ‘You know, Justin, what you did was right. We understand what you did and what you could have done.’”

Justin further expressed his frustration with Osteen, saying, “I feel like, at this point, I should have heard something. I’m just a little upset.”

The money Justin found is linked to an unsolved 2014 theft, in which Lakewood Church reported $600,000 missing from their safe. Read more …
