‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ to Avoid ‘Batman v Superman’ Release Date

kung fu panda

Christian Post Report – The long-awaited DreamWorks film, “Kung Fu Panda 3” is finally scheduled to be released early next year, staying clear of superhero movie “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

With a glut of superhero films premiering in the next couple of months up to the following year, DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda 3” has had to dodge schedules with a new January 29, 2016 theater release.

Pitted against “Batman v Superman,” “Deadpool,” the “Warcraft” movie, and “The Divergent Series: Allegiant,” which all have a first quarter release for 2016, DreamWorks is striving to evade the box office competition by bumping up the third installment of Po the Panda’s story.

Earlier on, it veered away from its original December 23, 2015 release date to avoid “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which had the same release date.

A March 18 date was picked, but “Kung Fu Panda 3” would have gone head to head with the March 25 slot of “Batman v Superman.” DreamWorks finally moved the movie up to the end of January to give fans a chance to enjoy the animated film with as little competition as possible.

The January 29 release date also comes just before Chinese New Year on February 8, as a nod to Oriental DreamWorks, the studio’s China outfit which created the first “Kung Fu Panda” film.

Unfortunately for DreamWorks, January is considered an off-peak season for theater releases, the dead month where films with uncertain prospects are scheduled to either triumph in the box office or bomb without much notice.

DreamWorks may be hedging its bets based on the franchise’s earlier performances. The first “Kung Fu” Panda made $60 million during its 2008 opening weekend, while “Kung Fu Panda 2,” with its $48 million theater debut, was second only to “The Hangover Part II”.

The upcoming installment of the movie will see Po reunited with his biological father, followed by a return to his birthplace where he faces an arranged marriage, a power grabbing evil spirit, and more dangerous adventures.

Chris Brown and New Baby Daughter Royalty Seen on Instagram, Karrueche Tran Impressed?

Chris Brown Instagram/ tyrese

Christian Post Report – Tyrese Gibson posted this picture of Chris Brown and his daughter Royalty on his Instagram account.

Karrueche Tran has broken up with her on-off boyfriend Chris Brown after news of the singer fathering a child with another woman leaked online. Though Brown hasn’t spoken about the child, a baby girl named Royalty, the singer recently took to Instagram to post a picture of him cuddling the child, and Tran is said to be impressed with Brown’s newfound maturity and the fact that he appears to be a loving father to the little girl.

“When Karrueche saw the photo of Chris and Royalty, she dropped her phone,” said an insider to Hollywood Life. “She went to the bathroom for a few minutes to catch her breath and compose herself, and when she came back out and looked at it again, she smiled. The fact that Chris is finally growing up makes her happy.”

“Karrueche is so proud of Chris and finds it refreshing that he’s taking care of his responsibilities,” the source added.

One of the singer’s friends, Tyrese Gibson, took to Instagram to share a new shot of Brown with Royalty and captioned the photo with some words of encouragement and advice for the new journey ahead.

“Use this moment- Use this God given stage to give other young kings permission to get more involved with their kids,” Gibson began. “Rather planned or not—it was ultimately in God’s plan for #Royal to be here.”

Gibson also revealed that after the birth of his own daughter, he “cleared out all things, people and situations that no longer belong” because keeping them in his life would directly affect his daughter.

“Chris…My brother everything is going to change,” he added. “It’s not about you anymore, everything we do, say, everyone that we allow to stay around us, every deal offer you accept, will directly affect your daughter.”

‘Assassin’s Creed Victory’ Set in 19th Century London, Grappling Hook Introduced

Assassin's Creed Victory (Photo: Kotaku/File)

Christian Post Report – A sequence in “Assassin’s Creed Victory” set in the Victorian era.

Prior to its release, “Assassin’s Creed Victory” is already making noise as internal information leaks to the public. Late last year, it was revealed that 2015 “Assassin’s Creed” will be set in 19th century London and will be available for release this fall for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Ubisoft, the major developer of the game, will utilize its Quebec team.

Kotaku revealed that the upcoming game will use Ubisoft’s Anvil engine. The site revealed a seven-minute long video that shows an unknown character running through London. A new item – grappling hook – also suggests significant changes in gameplay.

Although there is no confirmation yet, an official statement by Ubisoft somehow gives credence to the report.

“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we welcome anticipation for all our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public,” the developer’s representative said.

The development studio confirmed that the Quebec team is working on the game, but they are keen on improving their existing titles.

“The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working n at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ for players,” they stated.

Fans of the said game can expect more modern-day scenes. In a report published by GameSpot, lead writer Darby McDevitt said “we always plan to have more modern day but we have to be really smart about how we do it.”

He shared that there are many challenges about making a new scene that they plan to incorporate in a game.

“To create a city, for instance, or even part of a city, would require six months of work by many, many artists, designers, modellers. And then you’d need gameplay systems that didn’t feel like you were just fencing,” he added.

“Assassin’s Creed Victory” is expected to come out this fall.

Americans Must Fight ‘Genocidal Hatred’ of Christians and ISIS’ ‘Religious Nazi Ideology,’ Watchdog Groups Plead After Latest Slaughter

Assyrian Christians (Photo: Reuters/Mohamed Azakir)

Assyrians hold banners as they march in solidarity with the Assyrians abducted by Islamic State fighters in Syria earlier this week, in Beirut, Labanon, February 28, 2015. Militants in northeast Syria are now estimated to have abducted at least 220 Assyrian Christians this week, a group monitoring the war reported.

Persecution watchdog groups are pleading for the U.S. government to take a leading role in fighting “genocidal hatred” of Christians after the latest slaughter committed by terror group ISIS, where a total of 30 Ethiopian Christians were shot and beheaded in Libya. They warned that if ISIS’ “religious Nazi ideology” is not countered, it will continue inspiring more atrocities.

Open Doors USA President and CEO David Curry, along with The Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Associate Dean, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, and Director of Interfaith Issues, Rabbi Yitzchok Adlerstein, issued a joint statement on Monday.

“We have been warning Western governments for months that a religious genocide of Christians was taking place. While we welcome the White House acknowledgment that these victims were targeted because of their faith, much more needs to be done,” they said.

The statement added that the Obama administration needs to recognize the religious extremism behind ISIS’ actions, and must lead the way in combating “genocidal hatred” to protect endangered Christian communities in the Middle East.

Islamic State militants lead what are said to be Ethiopian Christians along a beach in Wilayat Barqa, in this still image from an undated video made available on a social media website on April 19, 2015. The video purportedly made by Islamic State and posted on social media sites on Sunday appeared to show militants shooting and beheading about 30 Ethiopian Christians in Libya. Reuters was not able to verify the authenticity of the video but the killings resemble past violence carried out by Islamic State, an ultra-hardline group which has expanded its reach from strongholds in Iraq and Syria to conflict-ridden Libya. Libyan officials were not immediately available for comment. Ethiopia said it had not been able to verify whether the people shown in the video were its citizens.

“We must not stand idly by and watch as thousands of Christians are murdered for their faith. If Americans truly value freedom of religion, let us hold that value high and demand more be done to protect religious freedom around the world. Governments and NGOs should treat the rights of religious minorities as core human rights,” the groups said.

“This truth must motivate our nations. If we fail to counter ISIS’ religious Nazi ideology, it will continue to infect the hearts and minds of the ever-growing number of youth around the world, ultimately leading to more senseless persecution and bloodshed. The time to act is now.”

ISIS posted a video on Sunday depicting the executions of two groups of Ethiopian Christians, and explained in the narration that it is taking “revenge” for “shed Muslim blood” in the region. The Islamic militants, who have captured territory throughout Iraq and Syria and have moved into other countries, like Libya, directly addressed “the nation of the cross” and said that more bloodshed is to follow.

The video is similar to one released in February, when ISIS executed 21 Coptic Christians.

The jihadists are also asking for $30 million to free up to 300 Assyrian Christians it kidnapped during raids on villages in February.

Obama’s administration condemned the latest killings and said through National Security Council spokesperson Bernadette Meehan: “We express our condolences to the families of the victims and our support to the Ethiopian government and people as they grieve for their fellow citizens,” the statement read.

“That these terrorists killed these men solely because of their faith lays bare the terrorists’ vicious, senseless brutality.”

International Christian Concern, which has also been documenting the slaughter of Christians throughout ISIS’ drive to implement an Islamic Caliphate on the region, noted that the Ethiopian government is observing thee days of mourning for the victims.

Qes Solomon from the Ethiopian Orthodox Church said: “My sorrow is beyond depression.”

ICC has called on more to be done to protect the persecuted minorities under threat from ISIS.

ICC’s regional manager for Africa, Troy Augustine, added: “ICC condemns the deplorable murder of these Ethiopian Christians by ISIS. The world should be awakened to the reality that Islamic extremist groups will stop at nothing to advance their brutal terrorist agenda, and that Christians continue to be at the center of their target. As such, ISIS represents a severe and expanding threat to the safety and security of Christians in the Middle East and North Africa.”

Roman Catholic Church leader Pope Francis has also condemned the massacre, and said that the world must pay attention to such horrors.

“The blood of our Christian brothers and sisters is a testimony which cries out to be heard by everyone who can still distinguish between good and evil. All the more this cry must be heard by those who have the destiny of peoples in their hands,” the pope said.

Minnesota Wild vs St. Louis Blues Live Stream Free: Watch NHL Playoffs 2015 Online

Minnesota Wild (Reuters)

Christian Post Report – The Minnesota Wild are shown in this file photo.

With the series tied 1-1, the scene shifts to Xcel Energy Center as the Minnesota Wild host the St. Louis Blues in Game 3 of their Western Conference match-up. The game is on April 20, 2015 at 8 p.m. ET.

Despite coming on to the playoffs through the Wild Card places, Minnesota surprised everybody when they opened their post-season campaign with a win against the Central Division’s top team in St. Louis.

Minnesota dominated the game by attempting 29 shots on goal against St. Louis’ 21. The visitors also set the pace early as Jason Zucker scored early in the third minute of the first period.

The lead was doubled in the second behind a power-play goal by Matt Dumba in the 25th minute. In the third, the two teams traded two goals each, but it did little to change the outcome as Minnesota took an early series lead after a 4-2 win.

St. Louis adjusted when they met for the second game, and Vladimir Tarasenko seemed like he was focused on getting the Blues a much-needed win at home. He scored in the 14th minute of the game to give St. Louis the lead, then doubling his tally in the 19th with a power-play goal to end the period leading 2-0.

Minnesota cut the lead in half in the opening moments of the third period, but they could not muster any more goals as St. Louis scored two more, including Tarasenko’s goal on an empty net to complete his hat trick.

Now with the series tied at 1-1, the all-important Game 3 should help sway things into the favor of the winner.

A win for St. Louis brings back home advantage, while Minnesota will want to start things off right as they play as hosts.

Star Wars Battlefront Release Date Rumors, News: Gameplay Trailer Revealed; Assistant Producer Confirms No Battlelog for New Game

Star Wars Battlefront 3 YouTube/Image

Christian Post Report – Screengrab from the Star Wars Battlefront 3 teaser by DICE, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts

The hype is getting more intense for the third/first-person shooter video game from Pandemic Studios, “Star Wars: Battlefront” as news of gameplay footage surfaced. Meanwhile, an insider confirms some important details of the game.

A report from IGN indicated that a 7-minute gameplay video of Battlefront was recently released. The report described that the demo commenced with a scene on the “forest moon of Endor with a group of rebels running through the forest.”

A skirmish between the Stormtroopers and the Rebels ensues only to be interrupted when a “gigantic AT-AT” arrives to the scene. The fight footage continues while switching between first and third-person perspectives, which meanwhile give the audience the idea of how the game can be viewed.

The publication went on to mention the appearance of Darth Vader who effortlessly deflects the remaining rebels using the Force as well as his lightsaber.

The seven minute-long gameplay clip really “feels like Star Wars” movie, according to the review.

“By putting all those iconic vehicles, weapons, and characters together, how could they not?” the site said.

Putting the footage aside, a report from PC Gamer meanwhile cited Battlefront assistant producer Jesper Nielsen shedding light into the rumors that the game would use the multiplayer portal Battlelog which was previously incorporated on Battefield 3, Battlefield 4 and even on Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

As stated by the website, this won’t be the case for Star Wars: Battlefront.

“That article is based on the fact that the Uprise website mentions that Uprise is working on Star Wars Battlefront. While Uprise has been doing Battlelog, does that automatically mean that we will do Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront?” Nielsen’s statement in NeoGAF reads (via PC Gamer). “No, it won’t. That can only be an assumption, and I can tell you, no, there won’t be Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront.”

“Star Wars: Battlefront” is slated to be released for current-gen gaming consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on PC this November 17, 2015.

Stay tuned for more updates.
