In the midst of the hype for the new trailer of the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” new details surfaced for yet another big screen offering based on the popular science fiction franchise subtitled “Rogue One.”

The Star Wars fandom was rocked when the plot details for the forthcoming spinoff film were shared through Twitter this Sunday.

“A band of resistance fighters unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans in Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One,” the post reads.

The big reveal was timed to sync with the Star Wars Celebration fan festival which took place in Anaheim, California.

Access Hollywood meanwhile poured more details about the offshoot film by quoting on the director Gareth Edwards, who previously helmed the 2014 “Godzilla” movie.

According to the publication, “Rogue One” will happen between the “Revenge of the Sith” and “Episode IV: A New Hope.”

Gareth further explained that around this time, the Jedis are all but nearly extinct, the Old Republic is in great chaos and then there’s the looming threat of the Death Star.

The director said that the upcoming title will be “quite unique” as it will feature a universe whose fate lies in the hands of a “group of new heroes who don’t have magical powers.”

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy also spoke during Sunday’s fandom event to tease that “Rogue One” could just be the beginning of yet another saga.

“There so much happening in the world of franchises and sequels. Really in the last 10 to 15 years that’s dominated a lot of what’s come out in the movie industry,” Kennedy said. “It was really George [Lucas’] idea, not only picking up the saga again, which he never envisioned he would do. But he also was ready to explore all the stories that exist inside the universe.”

“Star Wars: Rogue One” is slated to hit the theaters in December 2016.

An unofficial survey on BioWare’s purported sequel to their popular shooter game, Mass Effect, has surfaced online and it offers a slew of details for its plot, game modes, and other specifics.

One of the most notable facts pointed out by Gamespot from the alleged Mass Effect 4 survey is the title’s apparent departure from the previous trilogy. According to the publication, the upcoming game might see players taking on the role of a new hero called a “pathfinder,” which as the term suggests, is an entity in search for a new territory.

The site went on to enumerate the details drawn out from the said survey starting off with the narrative plot.

It is said that the story will be “set in the Helius Cluster of the Andromeda Galaxy.” Players will take on the part of a “pathfinder” whose purpose is to embark an expedition on a “sprawling series of solar systems” which is over four times the size found in Mass Effect 3, with an aim to find and establish a “new home for humanity.”

Gamers will also encounter the remains of species called “Remnant,” an alien race whose technology “holds the key to gaining power in this region of the galaxy.”

Game modes may be similar with the previous titles as one could make friends and let them join you for missions.

There’s also a pilotable ship which players could use to discover over 100 solar systems. On the ground, the Mako vehicle is now upgradeable with turbo boost, shield generator, hostile detector, and other enhancements including paint job.

Colonies are also of importance in Mass Effect 4 as these settlements can give players some advantages. Example would be the Recon Settlements which clears off fog of war on space map. There’s also the Mining Settlements which provide players with crafting materials.

New mission types and multiplayer modes are also pointed out in the survey. These include:

  • Remnant Vault Raids
  • Orbital Facilities
  • Khet Outposts
  • Strike Team
  • Active Strike Team
  • Horde Mode

According to a report from IGN, the still yet untitled “Mass Effect 4” will probably be unveiled at this year’s E3 convention.

Christian Post Report – Duncan Public Schools sent a letter to the American Humanist Association in response to a complaint leveled against an elementary school teacher who distributed several Gideon Bibles to her students.

Scott W. Stone, legal counsel for Duncan Schools, explained to the AHA’s legal arm the Appignani Humanist Legal Center that actions were being taken in response to their complaint.

After countless rumors and leaks which circulation lasted for months, Sony has finally lifted up the curtains to officially reveal the highly anticipated Sony Xperia Z4 this Monday in Japan.

For those wondering if the high-end Android smartphone would arrive in other countries, a report from BGR cited the Russian publication Hi-Tech.mail.ru saying that Sony has included in their plans to make a flagship announcement for international markets and that they will do so probably in “late of May.”

During the unveiling, the Xperia Z3 successor was shown with a “slightly tweaked OmniBalance design” with a premium aluminum frame running along its sides.

The front, as well as the back, is covered with high-quality protective glass material which Sony has yet to confirm if it’s Gorilla or Dragontrail.

Like the 2014 flagship, the new Z4 still has the 5.2-inch 1080p display. Under the hood, however, there’s been a huge leap of improvement. From the short-lived Snapdragon 805 chipset, the Z4 now runs on the 64-bit, octa-core Snapdragon 810.

Furthermore, the new Android phone has an Adreno 430 GPU which is seen to be more capable of running super high-resolution contents than its predecessor, the Adreno 330.

As for the camera, Z4’s primary snapper has 20.7 MP with Exmor RS image sensor and is coupled with the BIONZ image processing engine. GSM Arena stated in their report that aside from the usual HDR and other imaging modes, the new Z4 camera has a “Cooking Mode” which is intended for taking pictures of food.

The front snapper, on the other hand, has a 5MP wide-angle camera which is optimized to offer best selfie image quality. There’s also a new “shake feature” which aims to reduce shakings when recording videos using the front camera.

Meanwhile, the new audio features of Z4 now support high quality audio performance for wireless playback mode.

The phone is still given with the IP68 certification for its water and dust resistant features. It is powered with a non-removable 2,930 mAh battery and is said to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Pricing details and store release dates for the Xperia Z4, at least in the tech’s home country, aren’t available as of the moment.

Recent rumors further pointed out that the “19 Kids and Counting” star was spotted allegedly shopping for maternity clothes which many people believe are intended to fit her ever-changing figure.

On Friday, a Twitter user named @JayciMay2 claimed to have seen the TV personality browsing through the maternity and juniors sections at a local Ross store in Arkansas earlier this month.

“Here’s your scoop for today: I just saw Jessa Duggar looking at the maternity and juniors sections at the Ross in Rogers,” the Twitter post reads.

Fans were quick to speculate that that the 22-year-old could really be looking for clothing items for herself. However, several publications indicated that this might not be the case.

An Inquistr report draws out its theory from the date to which the tweet was posted.

“The tweet above was posted on April 2, a few days before Jessa’s nephew Israel was born. Israel was a late baby, so Jill Duggar was pretty huge by the time he made his big debut. Perhaps Jessa was just being a good sister by picking up some roomier clothes for Jill to wear during her last few days of pregnancy,” the media outlet wrote.

Enstarz speculated that the young Mrs. Seewald could only be at the clothing section perhaps to learn some “styling tips” that she could make use of when the time comes for her.

Back in March, Jessa and Ben shared a photo where the 19-year-old husband cradled his wife’s stomach. The photo, which made its way through Facebook, features the couple forming a heart shape using their hands and was placed over Jessa’s belly.

Jessa meanwhile opened up about her new married life with Memphis’ FM 100 during a live interview. She admits that she and Ben are “definitely past the point of side hug” and added that both of them are “definitely in love, and well on our way in this newlywed life. And we’re just loving it.”

“Criminal Minds” executive producer Erica Messer’s recently talked about Reid’s “romantic future on the show,” which lends credence to the possibility of Season 11.

“It’s been two years. Maeve is something that will never go away in his heart. We want him to smile again and we think everybody else does too. The fact that this quirky agent who speaks Russian is somebody he’d like to have coffee with — good on him,” Messer said while referring to Agent Dorian Loker, played by Emily Churchill. “That’s a great thing.”

While addressing about Reid’s romantic story line, she let it slip that she is looking forward to next season.

“But we will probably discuss it and figure it out at some point next season,” she told TV Guide.

However, it remains to be seen if the network will keep the drama afloat.

The current season of “Criminal Minds” is slated to air its brand new episode titled “Mr. Scratch” this Wednesday, April 22 on CBS.

Floyd Mayweather confessed earlier this week that he sees the upcoming fight with Manny Pacquiao as “business,” since the thrill of the sport has already departed from him.

“It is at a point where it is business. It is my job,” he told The Telegraph U.K. “There was a time when it was fun but I am to a point now where I am really over all of that stuff.”

He did, however, consider the matchup a “very exciting” one.

“[Pacquiao’s] a future hall-of-famer. I am a future hall-of-famer and we are meeting at the pinnacle of our careers,” he said. “It is going to be a very exciting fight. Our styles are totally different. I fight with smarts. Every move is calculated. Every move is thought about.”

Mayweather charactarized Pacquiao as a “reckless” fighter.

“He fought very, very recklessly in the Márquez fight,” the 38-year-old athlete said. “I could have had the same type of career but my career wouldn’t have lasted this long.”

It didn’t take long for Filipino fighter’s camp to respond. Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s long-time trainer, said that the American opponent was cornered and forced to take up the challenge.

“He didn’t want this fight,” the celebrated trainer said. “He can pretend it was a strategy to build up the fight’s value but that’s not true. For once Mayweather wasn’t able to handpick his opponent. He was forced to take this fight by Manny, the media and the fans.”

“Mayweather is a different ‘A side’ now, and you can guess what the ‘A’ stands for,” Roach added. “He was late for his media workout, leaving major media outlets scheduled to go live with dead air. How selfish is that? It doesn’t take a lot to figure out why everyone is rooting for Manny.”

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. versus Manny Pacquiao fight is scheduled to happen this Saturday, May 2, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“Selena and Zedd have decided to be friends,” an insider tells Hollywood Life. “Zedd is all about getting his album ready and being out of the magazines and Selena is all about her movies, Mexico, and music. They have just drifted apart romantically but have remained really good friends.”

The source reveals that the pair’s relationship appeared to be going strong while they were promoting their song, “but then they went back to their normal lives and figured that they weren’t missing each other.”

The source also says that there’s a chance that Gomez and the EDM DJ may get back together again.

“They may come back to the relationship but the friendship side of things seems to be what’s important to them both right now,” the insider said.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old DJ has nothing but good words about the singer-actress amid the split rumors. In an interview with People during a pop-up performance at Alcatraz, Zedd talked about what it’s like to work with Gomez.

“[Selena is] incredible at taking directions, because I actually was in the studio with her,” he reveals. “Singers don’t always take direction well, because sometimes they feel like you get in their zone and I don’t have to be there.”

Zedd said that Gomez listened to every word of advice he had for her during the studio session.

“She was great, you know, trying to emulate exactly what I wanted to hear and didn’t take anything personally,” he said of the 22-year-old.

Egypt’s former president Mohamed Morsi sentenced to 20 years in prison over the killing of demonstrators outside his palace in 2012.

Christian Post Report – Former Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, who was also a leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood, has been sentenced on Tuesday to 20 years in prison for unlawful arrests and torture carried out during his time in power.

Morsi served as his country’s first freely elected president between June 2012 and July 2013, before he was forcefully removed from power following heavy nationwide protests. He was chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood — an organization which has since been declared illegal and forced to go underground.

BBC News reported that this was the first verdict Morsi has received since his outing, and is one of several trials that he faces.

Morsi’s other trials include colluding with foreign militants to free Islamists in mass prison breaks during the 2011 uprising; espionage and conspiring to commit terrorist acts with the Palestinian militant group Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah; as well as endangering national security by leaking state secrets to Qatar.

The former president could have even received the death penalty, along with 14 other Brotherhood members, but he was cleared of the more serious charge of inciting the killing of protesters.

Morsi’s supporters heavily targeted Christians following the change of power in 2013, blaming the minority faith group for taking part in the protests. Christians were attacked in various cities across Egypt, while churches, Christian bookstores and orphanages were vandalized.

Retired Field Marshall Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who won the presidential elections in 2014, was hailed by Christians for protecting them from Islamic extremisim.

“Many Christians, and even Muslims, think that Sisi saved them from the Islamic groups and he is the hero and savior that we are all waiting for. In Egypt you have to choose from two choices: Military or Islamist. So, if I am Christian, for sure I’ll choose the military even if I don’t like them,” Mahmoud Farouk, executive director of the Egyptian Center for Public Policy Studies, said at the time.

Father Youannis Shawky, a priest from Minya province, added that Christians battled hard to see Morsi and the Brotherhood lose their power.

“The Christian paid a precious price to remove the Muslim Brotherhood. Their properties were looted, destroyed and burned. Many churches were burned, destroyed and demolished,” Shawky said.

Egyptian authorities under Sisi’s rule have arrested thousands of Brotherhood supporters in the past year. On Monday, another 22 Brotherhood members were sentenced to death for a separate attack on a police station in Cairo.

U.S. President Barack Obama, who initially backed Morsi when the latter won the 2012 election, critisized the initial uprising against the Muslim Brotherhood leader, but stopped short of calling his downfall a coup.

Reuters reported that the Muslim Brotherhood leadership is strongly opposed to Morsi’s sentence, and has claimed that the Egyptian court did not have the sufficient evidence to convict him.

“His trial has been a travesty of justice, which has been scripted and controlled by the government and entirely unsupported by evidence,” said Amr Darrag, a senior figure from the Muslim Brotherhood and a former minister under Morsi. “They want to pass a life sentence for democracy in Egypt.”

Morsi’s defense team is expected to appeal against Tuesday’s verdict. The former president is reportedly being held in a maximum-security prison in Alexandria.

Second person shooter Screencheat has been scheduled for release on PS 4 and Xbox One this year.

Developer Samurai Punk has announced it will be bringing its unique and addictive second person shooter video game, “Screencheat,” to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015.

The Australian games development company reaped earlier success when they originally released the game on Steam. The game encourages imaginative cheating with players forced to screen-cheat to find their opponents in order to shoot them.

Since opposing players are rendered invisible in the split-screen multiplayer game, the only way to make them visible is to “screencheat” by stealing glances at their screens. Using color-coded maps, structural elements, and landmarks, players can pinpoint their enemies’ positions and aim for a kill.

“Screencheat” will include 10 different guns, each featuring unique shooting powers. The Blunderbuss gives players the ability to shoot at close range, the rocket-powered yo-yo mace, Sörgeån aims at longer range targets, while the Hobby Horse is a small horse and sword players can use to ride at their opponents and skewer them.

With a one-hit kill limitation, players need to adapt to all the different weapons and pick their shots wisely to avoid their position being revealed to the enemy

The game will also feature 10 separate maps of a number of different environments equipped with landmarks to help players find their opponents. Players can opt for the classic Deathmatch mode, or the Cluedo Mystery mode to add customization to their game.

“Screencheat” can be played both locally and online, where each user sees other players in the game appearing as if they were right next to them.

While no exact launch date for the game has been released, Xbox Wire has hinted “Screencheat” will be made public later in the year.
