A few weeks after Zayn Malik shocked One Direction fans by saying that he was leaving the popular boy band, he finally breaks his silence on Twitter. Malik posted a message on Twitter thanking his fans: “Wanna say thanks to everyone that’s been there for me over the last few weeks, love you all.. you know who you are x.” This is the first time in almost a month that Malik had posted anything on social media after he left 1D.

On the other hand, he made his first public appearance during the 2015 Asia Awards in London, where he accepted an award for Outstanding Achievement in Music. He was accompanied by his mother. During his “thank-you” speech, he also thanked his former bandmates, adding that “some of the things that we did will stay with me for the rest of my life.”

As for his former bandmates, they are moving on as a four-member band after Malik’s departure. According to a report in Entertainment Tonight Online, the group recently released their first official photo without Malik.

One of its members, Liam Payne, had earlier said in an interview that they have been experiencing “a tough few weeks, probably the toughest since the band was formed five years ago.” He also said that they were “determined to carry on stronger than ever.”

Simon Cowell, under whose record label the band is signed on to, recently shared his thoughts about Malik’s departure during an interview in “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” He admitted to having an idea that Zayn was going to leave.

“I kinda knew this was coming, if I could be honest with you. We had a few conversations, and he wasn’t happy,” he said. He also said that he tried to convince Zayn to stay on a little longer.

Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling may be gearing up to get back in each other’s arms for another team-up, this time in a musical rom-com.

“Whiplash” director Damien Chazelle is eyeing the chemistry-laden love team of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling for his musical romantic comedy titled, “La La Land.”

Gosling and Stone already have a strong following after their successful team-ups in films like 2011’s rom-com “Crazy, Stupid Love,” and “Gangster Squad,” the 2013 crime drama.

“La La Land” is slated to be a contemporary romantic musical directed by Chazelle, whose 2014 breakout film “Whiplash” won a total of three Oscars, including J.K. Simmons’ Best Supporting Actor.

The new lighter musical will be set in modern day Los Angeles, but will focus on old-fashioned classical music as the storyline revolves around the love story between an aspiring actress and a jazz player.

“Whiplash” star Miles Teller and “Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson were initially attached to partner up in the film, but both had to bow out due to other projects; Teller with “Fantastic Four” reboot, and Watson with the live action retelling of “Beauty and the Beast.”

With Gosling and Stone’s already supercharged onscreen chemistry, the change in cast is likely to be a pre-promotion for the movie itself. The pair have already admitted to enjoy working together in their previous film projects, with Gosling praising his co-star’s charisma in “Stupid, Crazy Love.”

One of Hollywood’s most popular leading men, Gosling is known for choosing indie projects, recently made his directorial debut with fantasy neo noir film, “Lost River,” and is due to appear next in Woody Allen’s “Irrational Man,” while Stone is fresh off, “Birdman,” which won an Oscar for Best Picture, and is currently on Broadway characterizing Sally Bowles in a revival of “Cabaret.”

Christian Post Report – “Devil May Cry 4” has a new special edition that shows additional playable characters. Capcom released a number of screens that show Vergil, Lady, and Trish, which will all be playable in the upcoming title. The new screens also boast of enhanced visuals for PC and new-generation console owners.

Capcom invited Polygon to take a peek at the upcoming title and the website revealed some juicy details. Here are some of the exciting information the website spilled:

The special edition’s story mode starts the player off as Nero, a cult member who worships Sparda – Dante’s demon father. As the player’s character sees Dante killing the revered legendary demon, the hunt for Dante ensues.

As the player acts as Nero, one would notice that the mechanics is easier, more inviting, and more streamlined for new players. Nero has the “devil bringer” – an enchanted hand that allows the character to pull the enemies closer before tossing them away. The character also has a new mechanic for the Red Queen sword, which can be recharged to improve the attack power. However, charging the sword makes the character susceptible to attacks of the enemy.

The new title will give more depth to Dante’s character compared to previous versions of the series. Dante is much more complex to control. For instance, in the Swordsmaster style, the character can carry out a number of combos, and then swap to Trickster that allows him to move around the battlefield and eventually teleport away.

Another style, the Gunslinger, the character has a melee of options, which can utilize a whole arsenal of weapons. Royal Guard style, on the other hand, concentrates on defense – a perfect block of incoming attacks builds up power for a massive counterattack.

“Devil May Cry 4” also has the Dark Slayer style where Dante can use Vergil’s Yamato.

“Devil May Cry 4” special edition is expected this summer.

In an effort to support the widespread use of Sony’s next generation console, the PlayStation 4, game developer Square Enix recently shared that it is developing more games for the PS4 which it plans to release within 2015.

According to a report in Forbes, one of Square Enix’s producers, Shinji Hashimoto revealed that there are even more PS4 games in development “that have yet to be announced.” He said this during an interview about a recent announcement for a sequel to “Dragon Quest Heroes” that the company is developing.

In the same Forbes report, another interview with another producer, Yusuke Suda, revealed that there is a possible resurgence of titles for the popular “Mana” series in 2015 because it is the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Suda is said to be responsible for an upcoming PS Vita game called “Rise of Mana.”

Because of these two revelations, the report speculates that one of the possible titles that Square Enix may be considering for development will be a PS4 game that continues the “Mana” series.

The “Mana” game franchise is a medieval-fantasy action role-playing game that was originally made as a handheld “companion game” to “Final Fantasy.” The first game was developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. The most popular game in the series is the “Secret of Mana” game that came out in 1993.

The series, according to a Wikipedia entry, is known for “its seamless, real-time battle system” which was developed by Koichi Ishii, which is distinctively different from the battle system in the first “Final Fantasy” games. Newcomers and veterans alike can use the system to play, even if it is action-based. The system also has its own “Ring Command” menu system.

The game’s setting is a fantasy world where “mana” is an energy source. After a devastating war between the gods and civilization, there is a need to look for eight Mana seeds which will restore mana to the world, and eventually, peace.

Christian Post Report – With fans eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next game in the “Kingdom Hearts” series, rumors have been flying around about the game’s release date. There were also reports that the game will be delayed and will skip 2015. What Square Enix has confirmed so far is that the game’s release date remains unannounced, which has always been the case since the game was announced in 2013.

Perhaps to counter any rumors that the game is indeed delayed, the game’s director, Tetsuya Nomura recently told Famitsu that the game’s development is progressing “smoothly.”

According to a report in IGN, Nomura said that fans of the game should learn more during the upcoming D23 Expo in Japan in November.

“We have some interesting things planned,” he said. “There will be Kingdom Hearts III news, and various things, I think. Kingdom Hearts III development is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it.”

One of the new announcements he hinted is about a possible smartphone-specific development for “Kingdom Hearts.”

Despite this recent confirmation however, another report has come out claiming that the game’s developers are “experiencing troubles with ‘Kingdom Hearts 3’ image processing.” According to a report in Venture Capital Post, Nomura said that “the development team is not satisfied with the current look of the game” and are “working on revamping the game’s visuals and quality.”

“Kingdom Hearts 3” is a fantasy and Disney-themed action role-playing game, which features Disney characters such as Goofy, Donald Duck, and Mickey. The new game may also feature other Disney characters. It is the eighth installment of the series, and is the first game in the series to be released on more than one console.

To date, “Kingdom Hearts 3” is ranked fifth among the most wanted games in 2015, according to a report in Gaming Bolt.

Rating reports from TV Ratings showed the crime fighting series with negative rankings in terms of viewership, “% demo change,” or at the “% mil change.”

“Criminal Minds” executive producer Erica Messer’s recently talked about Reid’s “romantic future on the show,” which lends credence to the possibility of Season 11.

“It’s been two years. Maeve is something that will never go away in his heart. We want him to smile again and we think everybody else does too. The fact that this quirky agent who speaks Russian is somebody he’d like to have coffee with — good on him,” Messer said while referring to Agent Dorian Loker, played by Emily Churchill. “That’s a great thing.”

While addressing about Reid’s romantic story line, she let it slip that she is looking forward to next season.

“But we will probably discuss it and figure it out at some point next season,” she told TV Guide.

However, it remains to be seen if the network will keep the drama afloat.

The current season of “Criminal Minds” is slated to air its brand new episode titled “Mr. Scratch” this Wednesday, April 22 on CBS.

This week’s episode of the hit TV drama series “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 will see an unlikely alliance as agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) faces a surmounting challenge that threatens the very core of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agency.

Spoiler reports for the episode aptly dubbed as “Frenemy of My Enemy” said that Coulson will “surprisingly” work with Black Ops specialist Grant Ward (Brent Dalton) to protect the world’s line of defense against terrorism.

The full synopsis for the upcoming episode was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:

“A dangerous new alliance is formed as Coulson and Hunter turn to the last person anyone would expect – Grant Ward! As the war between S.H.I.E.L.D. factions continues, Skye and Lincoln will find themselves drawn into this conflict.”

Meanwhile, a recent report posted on Deadline indicated two cast members of the ABC series, Adrienne Palicki and Nick Blood are now finalizing the deal to spearhead the reported S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series.

Palicki plays the agency’s undercover within HYDRA and is the ex-husband of Blood’s Lance Hunter who joined S.H.I.E.L.D. at the beginning of Season 2.

According to the publication, the offshoot series, which is described as a “Mr. and Mrs. Smith-type of story,” was developed by executive producer Jerry Bell and co-EP Paul Zbyszewski.

“ABC is not expected to make a formal greenlight call until the script comes in, with the hope being to be able to do that before the upfronts. The spinoff may film a promo or do a pilot. If it goes to series, I hear Zbyszewski is expected to serve as showrunner,” the website said.

For the meantime, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 episode 18 airs Tuesday on ABC.

The season finale of ABC’s hit sitcom series “Fresh Off The Boat” Season 1 will see Jessica (Constance Wu) fearing that that she and her family have already lost their Chinese identity and this will eventually affect her decision whether or not they should visit the country club.

The synopsis posted on The Futon Critic indicates that Jessica’s fear of cultural identity loss will drive the Huangs “nuts” as she “forcefully” makes them “reconnect” with their culture. Louis (Randall Park), who has been so eager to join the country club, is now told to decline the invitation. Eddie (Hudson Yang), meanwhile, is told to do a report on China for his World Day project.

Will Jessica succeed in her plans? A slew of promotional photos for the upcoming episode showed Louis down at the Cattleman’s Ranch interacting with the patrons who are wearing “Rib Bibs”-printed shirts. The Huang neighbours, meanwhile, were seen sporting their country club gear.

Followers of the TV series have also been wondering if the show, which was largely inspired by the life of chef and food personality Eddie Huang, will get a second helping.

A report from Orlando Sentinel maintains that the fate of the show still “remains a mystery.” They pointed out in their article that despite the lashes that they received from Huang who said that the show is being so “artificial,” they believed that the show could still “win renewal and sail next season.”

“Fresh Off the Boat” Finale Episode airs this Tuesday, April 21 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

The thrill and excitement grows even stronger as the hit TV drama series “Chicago Fire” inches towards its season 3 finale.

Spoiler reports pointed out the sneak peek for this week’s brand new episode titled “You Know Where to Find Me.” The video featured the return of Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett) in the Rescue Squad.

A report from TV Guide indicated that Mills will try to save a driver who was caught up in a car accident. Rejoicing for his return, fans were quick to point out their worries as to what “terrible thing” that could happen next to the fire officer.

“Mills is back out on the squad, which mostly means that we will spend most of the episode petrified of when the next terrible thing could happen to him. Seriously, this is a guy who seems to have one horrible thing after the next happen to him. Why can’t he just catch a break already? Maybe he will as we get closer to the end of the season,” Carter Matt wrote.

Meanwhile, Casey (Jesse Spencer) engages on a project to remodel a strip club but starts to have some serious doubts about its owner. Hermann (David Eigenberg), Otis (Yuri Sardarov) and Cruz (Joe Minoso), on the other hand, will be preparing for the peewee hockey championship.

In related casting news, a recent report from The Hollywood Reporter said that Brett (Kara Killmer) is getting a new partner this season and this person is someone whom fans “are already very familiar with.”

For 5 years, fans of the hit science fiction film series “Tron” have been waiting for the next sequel of the 2010 “Tron: Legacy.” Olivia Wilde explains the delay of the third installment, which currently has the working title of “Tron 3.”

“The delay has only ever been story, finding the right story. It hasn’t been anything else. There’s never been a time where we wanted to go and then schedules got in the way. It’s only been like, ‘That’s not the right story,'” she told Collider. “So, in the past year, the right story kind of came together and we felt, ‘Oh, this actually – this might be the right one to tell.'”

“And, you know, there’s still a lot to be done before it could actually happen, but the fact that there’s a goal of this year to start is really exciting,” the 31-year-old actress said.

Wilde has already gotten a copy of the new script and it indicated that the sequel will pick up where “Tron: Legacy” left off. That means that her character, Quorra, will be out with Sam (Garett Hedlund) in the real world.

“I’m really excited to see what happens to that character when put into the real world. I think it’s an interesting concept. I’m fascinated by all discussions of AI, and especially now today and now with virtual reality becoming something that’s like a personal device, I think it’s the time to tell this story,” Wilde continued.

Disney has yet to confirm a “Tron 3,” but based on the enthusiasm that Wilde has for the project, it would be safe to assume that the film is really coming out this year. Collider went on to speculate that the Mouse House will probably release an official announcement and “perhaps a release date” sometime soon.
