Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Fight 2015 News, Preview: Pac-Man Wants to Beat Mayweather Then Have Bible Study With Him

Christian Post Report – For weeks leading up to the May 2 fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., the Filipino boxer’s trainer, Freddie Roach, has been saying that his fighter has a deep dislike for Mayweather, due to Mayweather’s history of domestic violence. Roach has repeatedly referred to the megafight as the battle between “good and evil.”

Boxing icons Floyd Mayweathe Jr. and Manny Pacquiao present during the press conference for “the biggest fight in boxing history” held in downtown Las Vegas.

But on Wednesday, April 15, Pacquiao invited the news media at his training headquarters at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood and told them that he wants to end Mayweather’s streak, and after that, he wants to have a Bible study with him.

“I just want to send this message to him — nothing personal,” said the eight-division world boxing champion. “We’re just doing our jobs. And after the fight, if I could talk to him, I want to share the gospel of God. I want to share to him about God, why we need God.”

Pacquiao is a born-again Christian, and he has often credited his faith for saving his marriage and changing his life.

“I want to teach him a lesson,” he continued. “To be a good person, to be an example for everybody. To let him know that there is God and we should humble ourselves before God.”

On May 2, Pacquiao stands to earn 40 percent of the purse, which amounts to about more than $100 million. The fighter said that he spends his money on his family, relatives, and a number of needy families in the Philippines.

“I’m not a materialistic person,” said Pacquiao. He adds that the money is “a grace that God has entrusted to me. I’m just a steward of that grace.”

Meanwhile, during Mayweather’s media day earlier this week, the undefeated fighter had this to say about the enormity of the bout, which is touted to be the richest in boxing history.

“It’s not just about the money — it’s about legacy, fans, family — everything,” Mayweather said.

Of the fight’s significance to his career, Mayweather said, “One fight does not define Floyd Mayweather’s career.”

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 11 Spoilers: Episode 20 Recap ‘One Flight Down’

Christian Post Report – This week on “Grey’s Anatomy,” a plane crash rocks Grey-Sloane Memorial to its core, and Meredith struggles through the day as she waits to hear from Derek, who appears to be missing.

In “One Flight Down,” Meredith is worried about Derek since he never made it to his big meeting at the White House and no one has seen him since he left the house to go to the airport. Later, a small plane crashes, and this brings about bad memories for Meredith and Arizona, who were in a plane crash before — the plane crash which killed Dr. Mark Sloane and Meredith’s sister, Lexie.

Meredith tries to help the victims of the plane crash, but soon she realizes that she can’t do it as it now appears that she’s suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. She looks for Arizona and finds her sitting on the floor of the supply room. Meredith joins her, and they assure each other that they’re OK.

In another part of the hospital, Alex tells Callie that they ought to watch Meredith and Arizona carefully and that maybe they shouldn’t be treating the plane crash victims. Callie agrees to that, but says that she’ll look after Meredith since she can’t be “that person” for her ex-wife anymore.

At the end of the day, Alex told Arizona that when their plane crashed, he was the one who amputated her leg because he was running out of time to save her. It was Callie’s decision, but he was the one who made the cut.

Arizona immediately runs to Callie and demanded to know why she never told her about it. “Why didn’t you tell me about Alex and my leg? All this time, you let me hold it against you. Why?”

Callie tells her, “I made the call. No matter what, it was still me making the call to take your leg and I knew you were going to hate me. I didn’t want you to hate Alex too. I wanted you to have somebody.”

Meanwhile, Meredith is inundated with flashbacks from the plane crash while also remembering what Derek told her before he left for D.C.

Derek told her that he’s back for good and promised that he’d never leave again. He also told her that he wants more kids.

“It’s always been you. But I want more of this, of us. I want to have more. Let’s have more,” he said.

Everyone in the hospital is trying to help Meredith, and Bailey comes up with the perfect solution. She tells Meredith that she has until 5pm to hear from Derek. If it gets to 5 p.m. and she doesn’t hear from him, then she can start to panic. Meredith thinks that it’s a good idea and focuses on the task at hand.

Back at her home, Meredith sits on the couch and checks the time. At 5pm, she gets up to call the authorities about her missing husband when a car pulls up on her driveway, and the blue and red lights of a police car reflect in the window that Meredith is looking through.

“Grey’s Anatomy” airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.

Bahrain Grand Prix 2015 Live Stream Free: Watch Formula 1 Racing Online (Start Time, Preview)

Christian Post Report – The Bahrain Grand Prix 2015 takes place on Sunday as the Formula 1 season continues after a dramatic opening few weeks, which have been surprisingly and excitingly closer than most analysts and fans would have predicted at the start of the season. The F1 Grand Prix from Bahrain will start at 11 a.m. ET (4 p.m. BST, 6 p.m. local time), and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

Mercedes Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton of Britain drives during the first practice session of the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi November 21, 2014.

Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes car have managed to take a fourth straight pole position this year, as the British driver held off a challenge from Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel during qualifying.

Mercedes will not have a monopoly on the front row of the grid, after Vettel’s excellent work means he takes second spot ahead of Hamilton’s teammate, Nico Rosberg.

Vettel was so close to taking pole too, however, Hamilton saved the best for last, and on his very final lap in qualifying he smashed Vettel’s time by 0.411 seconds.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen managed to take fourth spot on the grid to ensure that the battle at the front of the race will be between Mercedes and Ferrari.

There is not much between the Ferrari and Mercedes cars on the Bahrain track when it comes to speed, and that means it could come down to the finer tactical points of the race, such as pit stops and how well each driver uses their tires.

Ahead of the race, Lewis Hamilton has said, “I feel great. I’m really grateful to have this beast underneath me to attack these corners.”

Meanwhile, Rosberg has explained why he feels he was unable to take a place on the front row of the grid: “I was thinking too much about the race and I under-estimated Sebastian’s speed. I took it easy in Q2 to save the race tires, so I lacked the rhythm for Q3. That’s where I went wrong today. Being third is not ideal.”

Today’s Bahrain Grand Prix 2015 has a scheduled start time of 11 a.m. ET (4 p.m. BST, 6 p.m. local time) and can be watched online through free live stream by clicking here.

Tottenham Hotspur celebrate a goal.

Unfortunately, their recent form has not displayed their capabilities. They have lost their last five matches and have not found their scoring touch at all.

In those losses, Newcastle have only scored one goal; in a 2-1 loss to Arsenal at home. They failed to find the back of the net against Manchester United, Everton, Sunderland and Liverpool.

They are also missing a number of players either to injury or suspension as Papisse Cisse will miss the clash against Tottenham due to a recent red card, while Cheikh Tiote, Massadio Haidara and other players are also out as they nurse injuries.

On the other side, Tottenham are seventh and are also slowly losing out of the race for European spots. They are seven points behind Manchester City for the last place in the Champions League, while they are three points behind Liverpool for the Europa League spot.

Spurs have only won once in their last four matches and recently lost to Aston Villa, the last team that Newcastle beat.

Their last win came at home, in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Leicester City as they rebounded from a heavy 3-0 loss to United the week before.

Regarding their head-to-head battle, Tottenham thrashed Newcastle in their first meeting of the season.

At White Hart Lane, four different players scored for Tottenham as they dominated from start to finish, while Newcastle could not keep up with the pace set by players like Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.

Who’s Your Daddy?

“Having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.”
— Revelation 14:1

Christian Post Report – My mom was married and divorced seven times.

Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California and Harvest Orange County in Irvine, California, shares the Gospel with a sold-out crowd of 19,000 for Harvest America at the American Airlines Center and Victory Park in Dallas, Texas, Oct. 5, 2014.

Thus, there were quite a few last names I could have chosen to take. But there was only one of those men who treated me as a father should treat a son: Oscar Felix Laurie. So I chose that name. When looking at the other options, it was the “name above all other names.” Though he was not my biological father, he was in every other way my dad.

You’ve heard the expression “Who’s your daddy?” Well, the Bible says you have a choice of who your father will be. You can either be “of your father the devil” (John 8:44) or you can choose the Heavenly Father.

If we are wise, we will choose the “name above all names,” Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:19 tells us, “The Lord knows those who are His.” God sees what others may not. He knows those who bear His mark. It’s like those TSA Agents who use that little light on your driver’s license at the airport. It’s a black light that picks up a hologram on your license to help them authenticate it.

When we trust in Christ, He gives us His seal—His ID tag. Why? Because we belong to Him! We read in 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, “You are not your own. For you were bought at a price.”

In old days, if something belonged to a king, it carried his seal. In the same way, we carry God’s seal: the Holy Spirit. “He has identified us as His own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything He has promised us” (2 Corinthians 1:22 NLT).

I read a story about an old gentleman who was known for his godly life. Someone asked him one day, “What do you do when you are tempted, Old Man?” He replied, “I just look up to heaven and say, ‘Lord, Your property is in danger.'”

If you are a Christian, then you are His. You bear His seal, His mark, and His name.

Michael Schumacher Health Condition Latest News: Vettel Pays Tribute to Racer, Younger Schumacher Returns to the Track

Christian Post Report – Sebastian Vettel, who is now competing for Ferrari, won his first trophy on Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia Grand Prix for the current Formula One season. Right after receiving his accolades, the 27-year-old German driver pays tribute to the racetrack legend, Michael Schumacher.

“It’s been my dream, Michael was my hero. All the kids at the go-kart track looked up to him,” Vettel said. “When he turned up to shake hands every year it made our lives. I don’t understand yet how special it is.”

The racer meanwhile took the chance to express his gratitude to the people of Scuderia Ferrari for their warm welcome and the eager support they have given him.

In terms of legacy, Schumacher’s son, Mick, is also reported to be running his way for glory just like his father in Formula 1.

A report from the Daily Mail said that the 16-year-old has returned to the racing circuit just weeks after the 100mph crash in the Lausitzring speedway in Brandenburg, eastern Germany.

As said by the report, he was travelling at speeds of up to 100mph when he “skidded out of control.” Fortunately, the crash was nothing serious. He walked away from the track unharmed.

“Of course we know that his father is a seven-time world champion,” coach Frits van Amersfoort said. “But I want to emphasize that Mick will take the time to learn the trade of the racing driver.”

As for Schumacher’s current condition, it has been reported that the recovery rate of the seven-time F1 Racing champion has been very slow.

Philippe Streiff, a former Formula 1 driver like Schumacher told a French media outlet earlier this year that Schumi “has yet to recover the power of speech” but he’s “nevertheless starting to recognise those close to him.”

ISIS Suicide Bomber Kills 35 in its First Major Attack in Afghanistan

Afghan people walk past a Kabulbank branch in Kabul September 14, 2010. Afghanistan’s central bank has stepped in to take control of the troubled Kabulbank, its governor said on Tuesday, after suspected irregularities raised concerns over the country’s top private financial institution.

Christian Post Report – At least 35 people were killed and more than 100 injured after a suicide bomber, who Islamic State claimed belonged to their ranks, blew himself up in front of the Kabul Bank in the city of Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan early Saturday.

Agence France Presse said a person purporting to be an Islamic State spokesman called its office claiming responsibility for the suicide bombing in Jalalabad in Nangarhar Province.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani also blamed Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, for the terror attack.

“Who claimed responsibility for horrific attack in Nangarhar today? The Taliban did not claim responsibility for the attack, Daesh (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack,” President Ghani said, according to The Straits Times.

“It was a suicide attack,” Reuters quoted police chief Fazel Ahmad Sherzad as saying.

The attack at the bank was one of three separate explosions in Jalalabad, which occurred in quick succession around 8 a.m. Saturday, according to The New York Times.

The suicide bomber, who was on a motorbike, apparently planned to take maximum number of lives, as Saturday is the first working day in Afghanistan and banks are expected to be crowded.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid condemned the attack. “The explosion in Jalalabad doesn’t have anything to do with us and we condemn it,” he was quoted as saying in a text sent to reporters.

The United Nations issued a statement.

“The continuing use of suicide attacks in densely populated areas, that are certain to kill and maim large numbers of Afghan civilians, may amount to a war crime,” Nicholas Haysom, head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, said.

ISIS is an offshoot of al-Qaeda and wants to establish a caliphate in the Levant region and beyond. It has gained control over large swathes of territories in Syria and Iraq, and now appear to be seeking to expand its territory.

In January, ISIS spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani officially recognized the wilayah (territory) of Khurasan, which is a region that includes Afghanistan, most of Pakistan and parts of neighboring countries, according to The Diplomat, which clarified that the terror group control little terrain there, and its territory is more notional than physical.

ISIS appears to be positioning itself as a competitor, rather than a collaborator, to the Taliban and al-Qaeda in South Asia.

The ISIS leader in Khurasan has been identified as Hafiz Saeed Khan, the former leader of a Pakistani Taliban faction in the Kurram Agency of Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas, or FATA. Most of ISIS leaders and commanders in the region are from tribal areas and districts that have witnessed sectarian violence between militants from Sunni and Shia sects.

New Spider-Man Film News: Robert Downey Jr. Says New Reboot Will ‘Defy Expectations’

Christian Post Report – From what was heard, the upcoming Spider-Man reintroduction, which will commence in the next Captain America movie (“Captain America: Civil War”), will focus on a teenage Peter Parker and that there won’t be a new origin.

Spider-Man FACEBOOK/ Spider-Man

Spider-Man

“In terms of the age of what we believe Peter Parker is, I’d say 15-16 is right. Some of my favorite Spider-Man arcs and Spider-Man stories, he’s in high school for a lot of it. We want to explore that,” Marvel’s head Kevin Feige previously told Collider.

A report from IGN meanwhile cited the Iron Man actor, Robert Downey Jr., saying that fans “should expect the unexpected” when “Captain America 3” hit the theaters this May 6, 2016 and then on his future stand-alone movie, which is eyed for a 2017 release date.

“However we spin it, we’re going to try and defy the expectation of what it would mean,” Downey said. “That’s been the directive from jump. But I think that a great job has been done with Spider-Man so far. And I think that the direction that Spider-Man is going to take is exactly what the fans would be delighted to see.”

Feige, on the other hand, speaks with the publication that fans will see more of the web-slinger’s iconic comic book wit and humor when he returns to the big screen.

“When he puts that mask on, in the comics, he has a non-stop wit that’s almost as troubling to the bad guys he fights as his webs and agility. We feel we haven’t really seen that yet.”
