Washington ended their regular season with a loss against the New York Rangers. Before that loss they won two straight games and had six straight games where they secured at least a point.

On the other hand, the Islanders scored a point against the Columbus Blue Jackets in their last game as they lost 5-4 in a penalty shootout. They have alternated wins in their last seven matches to close out the season.

As far as their head-to-head battles are concerned, they met a total of four times this year, with the series split 2-2.

In their first meeting, the Islanders won 3-2 in overtime thanks to a John Tavares goal in the extra period. Anders Lee and Travis Hamonic scored for New York, while Alex Ovechkin tied things up on separate occasions to bring the game to overtime but fell short and Washington had to settle for a point.

The Capitals bounced back in the second game as they played as hosts, beating New York 5-2 with Andre Burakovsky and Marcus Johansson scoring early for Washington but was leveled by Tavares and Lee. However, three goals in the last two periods separated the two teams to give Washington their revenge.

Their third meeting in New York ended similar to their first meeting, an overtime win for the Islanders, this time with Johnny Boychuck being the hero for the hosts.

And just to prove how evenly matched these two teams are, the fourth meeting ended in a Washington victory, but New York also had a point as the game ended in a 3-2 penalty shootout win for the Capitals.

With close games in the regular season, expect a tight match in the first round of the playoffs.

‘NCIS: New Orleans’: Episode 20 Recap ‘Rock-A-Bye Baby’

NCIS: New Orleans CBS/ NCIS: New Orleans

Christian Post Report – When a Navy Commander’s car is stolen with his baby inside, the NCIS team must determine if this was a random car-jacking or a targeted abduction, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS

This week on “NCIS: New Orleans,” a Navy Commander’s car is stolen with his baby inside, and it’s up to the NCIS team to determine if this was a random carjacking or a targeted abduction.

The episode starts with Naval Commander Josh Newman unloading his groceries from his car, and he has his nine-month old daughter Lulu in her car seat. Suddenly, someone gets into the driver’s seat and steals the car, along with the baby inside it.

At first, the NCIS thought that they’re looking into a carjacking, but then they get a call from Special Agent Abigail Borin who says that what they have is a kidnapping. They go with Borin and see that the car has been driven into a river—but the car seat is gone.

Josh and his partner, Marlon, tell the team that they were having problems with Lulu’s birth mother, Cassie. When the team goes over to talk to Cassie, it’s clear that she’s not the culprit as she doesn’t know that Lulu has gone missing.

At the supermarket, someone remembers seeing Marlon and Lulu with an Asian woman. Upon investigating the woman’s profile, the team learns that she is a spy sent over by the Chinese government.

Later, Marlon talks to the team and confesses that he has been having an affair with the woman. He said that before coming out as a gay man, he would date women to cover up the fact that he’s gay. Since his job involves handling of classified information, the Chinese government got wind of this and sent the woman to learn what she can.

The NCIS tracks down the woman, but it turns out that Marlon never gave her even a bit of information. She offers them some surveillance footage in exchange for a ticket to China.

Upon reviewing the footage, the team notice that a delivery truck has been pulling up outside Josh and Marlon’s home for the past few days. The truck is assigned to Phil Burke, who works at the supermarket.

The team finds Phil, and he confesses to kidnapping the baby. It turns out that they’ve been trying to adopt, but they have not been successful because every time someone from an adoption agency would visit, they immediately know that Phil and his wife Anne are grieving for their baby daughter, whom they lost to SIDS. Seeing no other choice, he said that he decided to take Lulu and tell Anne that the adoption had gone through.

The NCIS reunite Lulu with her dads, and they promise to be more careful with her from now on.

“NCIS: New Orleans” airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.

‘Destiny House of Wolves’ News: 2nd DLC Pack Coming May 19

Destiny REUTERS/BUNGIE/ACTIVISION

Christian Post Report – A screen grab from the video game Destiny. Activision Blizzard Inc intends to spend 0 million developing and promoting ”Destiny,” potentially breaking industry records as it seeks to build the sci-fi role-playing videogame into its next multibillion-dollar franchise.

Fans of the first-person shooter game “Destiny” only need to wait a bit longer for the game’s second downloadable content or DLC pack. The second DLC pack called “House of Wolves” will be coming out on May 19 as announced by Bungie and reported in Forbes. The announcement came with a prologue trailer as well.

The new DLC pack is expected to bring a new gripping storyline which includes a new Awoken. It will also include three new Crucible maps and a new Fallen Strike with new weapons, armor and gear. It will be set somewhere in the Moon level.

In the prologue trailer, the Awoken Queen of the Reef calls on Guardians to exact revenge on the Fallen after they betrayed the Awoken. She offers “the riches of the realm” to whoever is willing to take on this challenge.

The Forbes report confirms that Guardians, the players, will work for the Queen of the Reef. This may mean that players will encounter both the Queen and her brother in the new DLC pack. Both characters have already been introduced earlier on in the game and the report hopes that with the new content, players can also get to know more about the story within the game.

According to another report in Tech Times, a calendar of events has been set up by game developer Bungie to slowly introduce the new DLC pack to players.

It said in its announcement: “The Reef will open to all Guardians, and you will join the allies of the Queen to destroy the traitorous Fallen from the House of Wolves.” A walking tour of The Reef will happen on April 22. On April 29, a live gameplay of Trials of Osiris will be featured. The Prison of Elders, a battle arena, will be open for live gameplay on May and a still unannounced event will happen on May 8.

Unfortunately, the DLC pack will not feature a new raid as was originally intended. Bungie instead said that they are developing a new raid for release later this year.

Cancer Prevention News 2015: HPV Vaccination for Boys Can Prevent Cancer and Cut Oral Cancer Costs, Says Canadian Study

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccines, according to Center for Disease Control, are shots given in three doses over a 6-month course to prevent infection from the human papilloma virus. Girls and young women are highly advised to get the vaccines to protect against cervical cancer.

The center also adds that two of the HPV vaccine (Gardasil and Gardasil 9) can also protect against anal cancer and genital warts in both males and females. Ideally, preteen girls and boys are advised to get the shots so that the immune system has ample time to respond before they become sexually active.

HPV Vaccine, according to a new study, can be a preventive vaccine for oropharyngeal cancer.

Before, HPV vaccines are generally marketed to women as a cervical cancer and genital warts prevention. However, in recent years, there is a spike in the number of oropharyngeal cancer in heterosexual males. At present, HPV causes about 70 percent of the head and neck cancers.

The Ohio State University Professor of Medicine, Dr. Maura Gillison, was the first to identify that HOV can cause cancers of the head and neck.

“There is a strong gender difference – men are at a three to five fold increased risk compared to women,” she said.

The new Canadian study published in the journal of American Cancer Society, CANCER, found that more than 190,000 Canadian boys aged 12 who has the vaccination was able to save about $28 million ($22.2 million in U.S. dollars) Canadian dollars.

Authors of the study concluded that, “According to the findings of this preliminary analysis, HOV vaccination for boys aged 12 years may be a cost-effective strategy in relation to the prevention of oropharyngeal cancer alone, strengthening the cost-effectiveness of a male vaccination program.”

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Miwaukee Rodney Willoughby, MD shares the growing concern for oropharyngeal cancer prevention. “The problem with the males is that they have a higher burden of the oropharyngeal cancers, and there is not precancerous marker that allows you to do studies in a short period of time.”

In the U.S., only 14 percent of boys are fully vaccinated against HPV in 2013.

‘NCIS’ Season 12: Episode 21 Recap ‘Lost in Translation’

NCIS CBS/ NCIS

Christian Post Report – Gibbs (Mark Harmon, left) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham, right) travel to Afghanistan after the murder of a Marine in D.C. is linked to a terror group holding another Marine hostage overseas, on NCIS

This week on “NCIS,” Gibbs and Bishop travel to Afghanistan after the murder of a Marine in D.C. is linked to a terror group holding another Marine hostage overseas. Also, DiNozzo is upset that McGee was chosen to be the new face of NCIS for all recruitment brochures.

The episode starts off with Sargent Joseph Wilks knocking at the door of a friend’s house. He looks in a window, and he sees Captain David Landis on the floor and tied to a chair. Wilks tries to get into the house, and as he’s about to help Landis, a masked man attacks him with a bat. Wilks is stabbed and he collapses.

At NCIS, McGee reminds Tony about the time he went undercover as a model, and it turns out that he was chosen to be the new face of NCIS. Tony can’t believe it, but then Bishop shows him a brochure with McGee’s face on it. Tony isn’t happy that he’s been passed over for the job, and Bishop tells him that he can’t be passed over if he was never considered. Gibbs arrives, and they all head out.

At the crime scene, Ducky says that whoever stabbed Landis wanted him to suffer. Wilks tells Gibbs that he and Landis have been friends for years and were training for a marathon. They also served in Afghanistan. Later, they learn that the fingerprints they got from a chair at Landis’ house belong to Kaseem Naasir, an Afghan with links to the Taliban who managed to enter the U.S. They also learn that Landis returned 8 months ago from Iraq and that Naasir has an older brother named Rasheed, who is responsible for more than a hundred terrorism attacks in Afghanistan.

Tony and McGee head to Wilks’ house to talk to him, and they see Kaseem lurking outside his house. They chase him, and when they catch and arrest him, they find a knife in his pocket.

At NCIS, Bishop tells Gibbs that there must be a mistake. Kaseem and Rasheed’s parents were killed by the Taliban, and they took the boys and brainwashed him. Abby learns that the Kaseem’s knife is not the murder weapon that killed Landis. Wilks arrives and tells Gibbs that Kaseem is one of them and that he and Landis smuggled him into the country.

Bishop gets a text from an informant named Martinez, and apparently, Rasheed has put a bounty on his own brother’s head. Kaseem tells the team that Rasheed was turned by the Taliban when they were kids and that he killed their parents. He says he’s nothing like his brother.

The team gets a video showing Rasheed holding a U.S. soldier hostage. He says that the U.S. has 48 hours to deliver his brother or kills the soldier.

Gibbs and Bishop board a helicopter with Kaseem to Afghanistan. At headquarters, McGee investigates Landis’ neighbor, Ashborne, and it turns out that Ashborne has been working for Rasheed and that he’s the one who killed Landis.

In Afghanistan, Kasim goes missing. Gibbs realizes that he snuck off to surrender himself to his brother in hopes of saving the soldier. Gibbs and Bishop locate the base, and Bishop pretends to be a doctor to get in. Shots ring out as they’re discovered, and Gibbs shoots Rasheed while the soldiers rescue Kaseem and the soldier.

At NCIS, McGee lets Tony know that he’s really not the face of NCIS—it’s all an April Fool’s joke.

“NCIS” airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.

‘Kurt Cobain: A Montage of Heck’ News: Allows a Peek Into Rock Icon’s Life

Christian Post Report – Over the years, the world has seen countless of documentaries about late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain. But not even one was able to paint a picture of Cobain as vivid and raw as “Montage of Heck.”

Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck (Photo: Wikipedia/File)

“Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” is a documentary about the life and times of the Nirvana front man. Co-produced by Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean, Montage of Heck will have a television premiere on May 24, 2015.

Lifted from the title of his unreleased 1988 mix tapes, “Montage of Heck” documents the entirety of Cobain’s life – from his childhood to his untimely death.

Rights to use Cobain’s notebooks, drawings, and mix tapes were given to Oscar-nominated filmmaker Brett Morgen, who also had the opportunity to talk to immediate family members, Cobain’s wife Courtney Love, and daughter Frances Bean.

A large part of the film include never before seen footages such as the Super 8 home videos that shows Cobain’s first three years of life. The start of the film already gives a peek into the family dynamics that the singer grew up in. The audience will see his personal struggles and feelings of rejections that he poured out to his audiotapes.

“Montage of Heck” attempts to show a different Cobain – away from all the fame and glory – the fragile human that he really is.

“People didn’t realize how very funny Kurt Cobain was, or how romantic he was, or what a doting father he was. Ultimately the mythology of the man is that he was in pursuit of fame, and then he didn’t want fame anymore. I hope this film shatters that illusion,” Morgen told BBC.

“I think Kurt, the child of divorce, was in pursuit of family his whole life, and when that became defiled that’s what ultimately led him to take his own life. But I didn’t make this film for fans. I made it for Frances,” he said.

Although Morgen only worked with Cobain through the documentary, he had the opportunity to work with Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean, the film’s executive producer.

“When Brett and I first met, I was very specific about what I wanted to see, how I wanted Kurt to be represented … I told him, ‘I don’t want the mythology or the romanticism,'” the artist told Rolling Stone.

“Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” premiered during the Sundance Film Festival last January 25, 2015 and will have a television premiere on HBO on May 24, 2015, following a limited theatrical run this April.

‘Teen Mom OG’: Episode 4 Recap, Maci Bookout Tells Bentley He’s Going to Be a Big Brother

Teen Mom OG MTV/ Teen Mom OG

Christian Post Report – Maci tells her son Bentley that he’s going to be a big brother, on Teen Mom OG

Last Monday on “Teen Mom OG,” Maci Bookout reveals that she’s pregnant, Tyler Baltierra cautions Catelynn Lowell about her bad eating habits, and Amber Portwood is shaken after Gary tells her that his new girlfriend, Kristina, is pregnant.

Maci says that she’s expecting again, though this was a complete surprise to her because her doctor told her that she might not get pregnant again, so she and her boyfriend Taylor didn’t do anything to prevent it from happening. She tells her friends the good news, and they ask her when she’s going to get married. Though she wants that to happen, Taylor thinks that it might be bad form to get engaged right away after they make their pregnancy announcement. She says that she doesn’t care—she just wants a ring for the sake of her grandparents.

Maci decides to tell Bentley after his birthday party. She gives him a card and tells him it’s from the baby. Maci says that there’s a baby in her tummy and that he’s going to be a big brother. At first he doesn’t believe it, but when Maci shows him the sonogram, he gives his mother a huge smile.

Meanwhile, Catelynn, who’s also pregnant, has gained 20 pounds in only four months. Tyler is worried that she might be overeating. Catelynn reasons that she’s pregnant and that she’s not going to “eat salad for seven months.” Tyler tells her that he just wants her to be happy and healthy and reminds her about the last time she was pregnant.

“I just know the last time it got to a point where you were really bummed out about it,” Tyler tells her. “You were really self-conscious, and it bothered you.”

While Amber is out of state at her brother’s college graduation, her ex, Gary, gets some big news from his girlfriend Kristina—she’s pregnant.

She says that she’s shocked because “obviously neither one of us wanted one.” Gary wants them to give up the baby for adoption, but Kristina vetoed that idea. Gary tells her that he’s not going to be with her just because she’s pregnant.

“It didn’t work with Amber. It’s not going to work with you,” Gary tells her.

When Gary tells Amber that he’s going to have another child, she takes this calmly. But days later she has a meltdown and says “That closes the door for good” between Gary and her.

“Teen Mom OG” airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.

James in a recent interview with Digital Spy, said that he will not be returning for the upcoming Underworld film. however.

“No, they have something in the works, but my involvement in it is … I think it’s going to be very difficult to do that with these [Divergent] movies, and my other commitments,” he said.

Christian Post Report – Mad Men Season 7 Poster

AMC’s “Mad Men” is an American series that follows Don Draper (Jon Hamm), the women in his life, and the chaotic world of advertising. Set in the 1970s, the mid-season premiere “New Business” gave viewers a look at one of Don’s many women.

“New Business”

Diana, the diner waitress, gave Draper something to ponder on about existence. Don goes to the restaurant where Diana works and asks her to call him as soon as she finishes her shift. Hours later, the two of them meet up and sleep together.

Viewers were given a glimpse of Diana’s life when she reveals that she hails from Wisconsin and was recently divorced from his husband of 12 years. She also shares that she had a daughter who died two years ago and that she has another daughter she left in Racine.

At the end of the episode, Don visits Diana to give her a New York guidebook. Diana declines and says she no longer wants to be with Don. She goes on to say, “When I was with you, I forgot about her,” pertaining to her daughter. “I don’t ever want to do that.”

Another woman in Don’s life who gets a surprise is Megan. In an effort to settle their grievances, Megan provokes Don who eventually gives Megan a check worth $1 million. Megan storms out of the office after taking her wedding ring off.

Standing alone in his almost-empty living room, with Yves Montands C’est Si Bon playing in the background, Don’s probably contemplating about the two women who left him in just one episode and how he is slowly losing his grip on women.

Inching Towards Series Finale

As the AMC series begins the last seven episodes of their series finale, “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm and creator Matthew Weiner look back at the series and how they thought it wouldn’t go past their pilot episode.

In an interview with USA Today, Weiner shared the success was unexpected and says Hamm, “was letting me down easy, saying the pilot would be the end of it but we had a great time.”
