ZTE Nubia Z9 Rumors, Release Date: Upcoming Android Device Following Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge’s Footsteps?

ZTE logo in event

Christian Post Report – ZTE is a Chinese electronics manufacturer that produces mobile phones, tablets and other consumer devices.

ZTE is well-known in China and a few of its neighboring markets, but not much outside of Asia. In spite of this, the Chinese manufacturer may be developing one of the best-looking Android devices this year.

According to a report by Phone Arena, a leaked image has surfaced online, allegedly revealing the look of the new ZTE Nubia Z9 smartphone. The image boasts nearly invisible side bezels, though it has a significant amount of top and bottom bezels.

However, what captured the report’s attention are the curved edges of the screen, or at least they appear to be curved.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can neither prove nor disprove the existence of the curved edges.

Aside from the screen, the Nubia Z9’s design is also absolutely stunning with its metal frame, and premium quality features.

Based on the report, the device will boast a 5.5-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and either the Snapdragon 808 or the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm. Either way, both processors are the best in the business today.

Summing up the rumored specs is a fingerprint scanner located on the phone’s home button.

In spite the rumors and the leaked image, there is still no tentative release date for the ZTE Nubia Z9. But if the device will live up to its expectations, and ZTE would be able to attach an attractive price tag, then this could be among the best devices to be released in the region.

<b>Christian Post Report</b> – Huawei Honor 6 vs Samsung Galaxy Alpha” title=”<b>Christian Post Report</b> – Huawei Honor 6 vs Samsung Galaxy Alpha” name=”jpg” src=”http://images.christianpost.com/full/81021/huawei-honor-6-vs-samsung-galaxy-alpha.jpg” class=”imgPhoto” width=”550″ height=”450″ /> <small class=Youtube Screenshot/ file

Christian Post Report – Huawei Honor 6 vs Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Huawei is among the top smartphone makers today due to its high quality devices and affordable pricing.

After succeeding in its home market in China, and its immediate neighbors, the Chinese manufacturer has expanded its market in Europe where its new phones become available.

One of the more recent releases of the company is the Huawei Honor 4X, which has already been made available in the region through pre-orders.

According to a report by Phone Arena, the phone maker aims lure in more potential buyers after releasing a nice video of the midranger.

Based on previous reports, the Huawei Honor 4X is a midranger that is worthy of attention due to its very impressive set of specifications.

At only 200 euro, or about $211, the Honor 4X comes with a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, 2GB RAM, a 64-bit enabled Kirin chipset, an octa-core CPU, and 8GB of built-in storage. Other specs include a microSD card slot, a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP front shooter, Dual-SIM capabilities, LTE connectivity, and a 3,000mAh battery that can ensure long-lasting usage.

Completing the specs list is Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, skinned by Huawei’s very own Emotion UI.

The trailer shows all of the juicy features of the device, and considering its price tag, those are definitely worth grabbing for some.

However, the Huawei Honor 4X definitely has competition in the Asus Zenfone 2 handsets, and Xiaomi’s Mi Note device.

We’ll see how the Chinese manufacturer’s device holds up against these rivals, and other perennial favorites from Samsung, LG, Sony, Motorola and HTC.

A Peek at Windows 10 Mobile Release Date, Latest News

Windows 10 (Photo: Wikipedia/File)

Christian Post Report – Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft’s new offering, features cross-platform use.

Early this year, rumors about Microsoft releasing a cross-platform operating system hints that users can now say goodbye to Windows Phone. Microsoft is starting to bring the new feature out as it gives insiders a sneak peek of what Windows 10 mobile can do.

Microsoft’s General Manager Gabriel Aul previously tweeted about the Windows Insiders and as of posting time, an update is now live and available for access through the Windows Insider app.

What can users expect from the new Windows 10?

Aside from the access despite allowing users to maximize their Windows experience whatever platform they may be using (PC or Mobile), Windows 10 also features:

• Interactive Notifications that allows users to instantly use their calendar, alarms, and messages via the pop up notification
• Streamlined App Switcher
• Accessibility to Quick Actions via Action Center
• Better Messaging and People Visuals
• Improved Speech-to-Text
• Customizable and full-sized background image for the start-up screen
• Photos app that will consolidate local photos and OneDrive images.

Microsoft’s Executive Vice President for Operating Systems group says, “Windows 10 represents the first step of a whole new generation of Windows, unlocking new experiences to give customers new ways to work, play and connect.” He adds, “This will be our most comprehensive operating system and the best release Microsoft has ever done for our business customers, and we look forward to working together with our broader Widows community to bring Windows 10 to life in the months ahead.”

At the press conference of Microsoft during the MWC 2015 last March, the company said that Windows 10 can run in all devices and updates will roll out in all the devices (including those running in Windows Phone 8.1) before the year ends.

With its Technical Preview ending in April 15, 2015, Microsoft is yet to announce on the final release date of Windows 10, but one thing’s for sure – it is free.

Facebook is Trending Again in Five Categories

Facebook Trending (Photo: Facebook/File)

Christian Post Report – Facebook Trending section now available in selected countries.

Facebook continue to improve its features and update its security protocols to give its users worthwhile experience while updating their statuses on the social media platform. In its latest update, Facebook rolls out its “Trending” section that allows users to see the topics and headlines that might be of interest to them.

Taking after the “Trending Topics”of Twitter, Facebook launched in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, and India their own “Trending” section with the social media’s web homepage sidebar. The sidebar will feature lists of words and phrases highly mentioned. It also includes a brief explanation of why those particular words and phrases are trending. This format frees the users of having to follow through several hashtags to identify the main source of the topic, which is what happens with Twitter’s “Trending Topics.”

“The description next to the topic is actually a headline that provides context around the topic and what is causing it to trend. We have rules in place that work to select concise, accurate, informative headlines,” a Facebook representative said.

The section will have five categories: Sports, Entertainment, Politics, Business, and Science and Technology. According to VentureBeat, Facebook is working on incorporating the update on its mobile apps.

This new addition to Facebook is beneficial for marketers that have contents that match category niches as they can target their audiences who “follow” trending topics included in the list. It would also be home to most news outfits wanting to get more exposure and user engagement.

This is a good addition to the social media app, however, to be able to efficiently maximize this feature, more Facebook users would need to post publicly because Facebook will only show a feed of links and posts according to updates from users who have the “Follow” feature that will allow people (even non-friends) to read public posts.

“Trending” will be accessible to Facebook users in several countries in the next few weeks.

HPV Vaccination for Boys Can Prevent Cancer and Cut Oral Cancer Costs, Says Canadian Study

HPV Vaccine - Gardasil (Photo: WikimediaCommons/File)

Christian Post Report – HPV Vaccine, according to a new study, can be a preventive vaccine for oropharyngeal cancer.

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccines, according to Center for Disease Control, are shots given in three doses over a 6-month course to prevent infection from the human papilloma virus. Girls and young women are highly advised to get the vaccines to protect against cervical cancer.

The center also adds that two of the HPV vaccine (Gardasil and Gardasil 9) can also protect against anal cancer and genital warts in both males and females. Ideally, preteen girls and boys are advised to get the shots so that the immune system has ample time to respond before they become sexually active.

Before, HPV vaccines are generally marketed to women as a cervical cancer and genital warts prevention. However, in recent years, there is a spike in the number of oropharyngeal cancer in heterosexual males. At present, HPV causes about 70 percent of the head and neck cancers.

The Ohio State University Professor of Medicine, Dr. Maura Gillison, was the first to identify that HOV can cause cancers of the head and neck.

“There is a strong gender difference – men are at a three to five fold increased risk compared to women,” she said.

The new Canadian study published in the journal of American Cancer Society, CANCER, found that more than 190,000 Canadian boys aged 12 who has the vaccination was able to save about $28 million ($22.2 million in U.S. dollars) Canadian dollars.

Authors of the study concluded that, “According to the findings of this preliminary analysis, HOV vaccination for boys aged 12 years may be a cost-effective strategy in relation to the prevention of oropharyngeal cancer alone, strengthening the cost-effectiveness of a male vaccination program.”

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Miwaukee Rodney Willoughby, MD shares the growing concern for oropharyngeal cancer prevention. “The problem with the males is that they have a higher burden of the oropharyngeal cancers, and there is not precancerous marker that allows you to do studies in a short period of time.”

In the U.S., only 14 percent of boys are fully vaccinated against HPV in 2013.

LG Patent for Smartphone Slap Bracelet Leaked

LG Slap Bracelet Smartphone @TechnoBuffalo/Twiter

Christian Post Report – LG invents a smartphone that looks like a slap bracelet. TechnoBuffalo Twitter feed. April 14, 2015.

Several images have been leaked showing what appears to be concept art for an LG patent of a smartphone slap bracelet design.

South Korean electronics manufacturer LG may have had another upcoming device leaked when images of concept art for a smartphone patent on a slap bracelet circulated online Monday.

After leaked images of their leather-backed LG G4 curved smartphones went viral over the weekend, a new design of a wrist-wrapping smartphone is currently making waves. The design shows an extremely thin-looking smartphone that can be docked into a bracelet, with the capability of curving around a wrist.

While not much information has been released in terms of specifications and other technical details, such as how the phone can attach to the bracelet, speculations on what could possibly be a game-changer in the smartphone arena have been kicking off online.

Despite its unique design, it still remains a patent, and as with most patents, there might be a possibility a smartphone sporting the featured configurations may not take off.

The flexibility of a slap bracelet design would require the same flexibility in its electronics and batteries, which will need to withstand long-term bending, and while LG already has its Plastic OLED screens, the technology for a bendable smartphone isn’t available yet.

Wearable? @evleaks Twitter feed. March 18, 2014.

Another LG slap bracelet type of wearable device was posted by prolific Twitter leakster Evan Blass, who goes by the handle @evleaks. The colorful device, with a label “for LG Mobile,” has a stylus tip on one end for use on smartphones and tablets, and can be worn on the wrist like a slap bracelet when not in use.

This is not the first slap bracelet-like design that’s been considered. Apple submitted a patent for a similar smart wearable device in early 2013 featuring a flexible display that could be attached to a bi-stable spring. Coupling a smartphone to the spring allows the device to be worn conveniently on the wrist.

‘Gotham’ Makes a Comeback, Introduces New Villain

Gotham FACEBOOK/ Gotham

Christian Post Report – FOX’s “Gotham”

The American crime-drama television series is coming back soon. Developed by Bruno Heller, “Gotham” gives the origin stories of James Gordon and several of the Batman villains.

The Plot

Former “Heroes” actor Milo Ventimiglia stars as Jason Lennon or Ogre the serial killer whose case will land on the desk of Detective Gordon.

“He is very dark, very sick-minded man who also happens to just be looking for love, like any of the rest of us…He’s just a bit more methodic about finding that right woman,” Ventimiglia says of his character.

Ogre is known to the police community as the one who targets the loved ones of the cops who tries to track him down. And as Ogre targets Barbara Kean, “Beasts of Prey” will characterize Ogre as the nemesis of Gordon.
The conflict of the two characters will be evident in their pursuit for Barbara. “[Gordon] who’s everything good and stalwart and straight but can’t get through to Barbara, and here’s someone who is essentially insane who has that seductive power,” compares producer Bruno Heller.

“Under the Knife”

Right after “Beasts of Prey,” Fox gave its viewers a sneak peak of what to expect in next week’s episode. “Under the Knife,” will follow Gordon and Harvey Bullock as they try to investigate the exploits of Ogre.

Meanwhile, Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne will work together to expose a corrupt executive inside the Wayne Enterprises.

Gotham’s “Under the Knife” episode will air on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 8PM ET on Fox. Watch it here.

“Gotham” stars Ben McKenzie (James Gordon), Jada Pinkett Smith (Fish Mooney), Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock),Sean Pertwee (Alfred), Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin), David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne), Camren Bicondova (Selina Kyle), Cory Michael Smith (Edward Nygma), and John Doman (Carmine Falcone).

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 ‘Wars To Come’ Gets Mixed Reception, Episodes 1-4 Leaked Online

Game of Thrones FACEBOOK/ Game of Thrones

Christian Post Report – HBO’s “Game of Thrones”

The “Games of Thrones” Season 5 premiere, “Wars To Come,” disappointed some fans looking for more action, but four unaired episodes of the series leaked on piracy sites a full day ahead of the season premiere, and that piqued the interest of many viewers.

The HBO series is based on George R.R. Martin’s “Song of Ice and Fire” book, but writers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff were still able to inject a few storylines not included in the books. In the past, “Game of Thrones uses its season premiere to shape the entire season. In the season-five premiere, although nothing major happened, some of the scenes give an idea of what season five will be.

Here are some of the key scenes in the season premiere:

The flashback scene where Cersei receives Maggy the frog’s prophecy then back to the present scene of Cersei meeting Margaery on the stairs is quite telling. Is there more to Maggy’s prophecy? Where will Cersei be in the course of the series?

The Unsullied, freed and recruited by Daenerys, are known to be asexual. But when an unsullied is killed inside a brothel by a member of the Sons of the Harpy, it seems that Daenerys needs to regain control over her army if she wants them to fight for her against Mereen.

Aside from the problems with Mereen and the Unsullied, Daenerys is slowly losing grip of her dragons. In the season premiere, Daenerys seems to fear her dragons that she kept locked up in a dungeon. Her character, previously loved and respected by people (and dragons) around her seems to feel rejected. Will Daenerys strong and intelligent character crumble because of these emotional events? Does Daario Naharis’ reminder — “a dragon queen with no dragons is not a queen” — mean something?

Everyone was not too ecstatic about the season premiere, if social media is any indicator. Forbes reports that “nearly half of the unaired ‘Game of Thrones’ leaked online,” and according to Variety, the leaked episodes have over 1.7 million downloads in just a 24-hour span.

‘Kurt Cobain: A Montage of Heck’ Allows a Peek Into Rock Icon’s Life

Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck (Photo: Wikipedia/File)

Christian Post Report – “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” is a documentary about the life and times of the Nirvana front man. Co-produced by Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean, Montage of Heck will have a television premiere on May 24, 2015.

Over the years, the world has seen countless of documentaries about late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain. But not even one was able to paint a picture of Cobain as vivid and raw as “Montage of Heck.”

Lifted from the title of his unreleased 1988 mix tapes, “Montage of Heck” documents the entirety of Cobain’s life – from his childhood to his untimely death.

Rights to use Cobain’s notebooks, drawings, and mix tapes were given to Oscar-nominated filmmaker Brett Morgen, who also had the opportunity to talk to immediate family members, Cobain’s wife Courtney Love, and daughter Frances Bean.

A large part of the film include never before seen footages such as the Super 8 home videos that shows Cobain’s first three years of life. The start of the film already gives a peek into the family dynamics that the singer grew up in. The audience will see his personal struggles and feelings of rejections that he poured out to his audiotapes.

“Montage of Heck” attempts to show a different Cobain – away from all the fame and glory – the fragile human that he really is.

“People didn’t realize how very funny Kurt Cobain was, or how romantic he was, or what a doting father he was. Ultimately the mythology of the man is that he was in pursuit of fame, and then he didn’t want fame anymore. I hope this film shatters that illusion,” Morgen told BBC.

“I think Kurt, the child of divorce, was in pursuit of family his whole life, and when that became defiled that’s what ultimately led him to take his own life. But I didn’t make this film for fans. I made it for Frances,” he said.

Although Morgen only worked with Cobain through the documentary, he had the opportunity to work with Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean, the film’s executive producer.

“When Brett and I first met, I was very specific about what I wanted to see, how I wanted Kurt to be represented … I told him, ‘I don’t want the mythology or the romanticism,'” the artist told Rolling Stone.

“Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” premiered during the Sundance Film Festival last January 25, 2015 and will have a television premiere on HBO on May 24, 2015, following a limited theatrical run this April.

The Way of Faith

Hebrews 11:23-28

Christian Post Report – Many people consider Moses a biblical “pillar” of Old Testament days—a man without equal in godliness. And certainly, he encountered the presence of the Almighty in a most unusual way and was called to do mighty things with the Lord’s help. But, like us, he was a normal, sinful human being. What the New Testament commends him for is something we all can have: belief.

  • Dr. Charles F. Stanley

    Dr. Charles F. Stanley (File).

Today’s verses come from the passage known as the Bible’s “Hall of Faith.” Those honored with inclusion in this chapter were chosen because they acted obediently, and God achieved great things through them.

We, too, can watch His hand in our lives as we act on faith. When we trust Him and obey, God demonstrates His power and shows that He truly is Lord. By operating out of His strength and through our weakness, He teaches us to rely upon Him.

That’s not to say the path is easy; Jesus warned that the way of faith includes suffering. Indeed, many early Christians were beaten or killed for His sake, and faith is still met with harsh persecution in various places around the world. While that may not be our experience, each of us has encountered ridicule, misunderstanding, or lost friendships because we follow Christ.

Even mild persecution can cause us to question whether living out our faith is worth the sacrifice. The truth is, it’s the best way to live. God responds to faith by enabling His children to endure difficulty, demonstrating His power in their circumstances, and providing joy.
