‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Movie to be Made Based Off the Mobile Horror Game

Christian Post Report – Warner Brothers is bravely doing a film adaptation of a popular mobile game called “Five Nights at Freddy’s.” The mobile game is said to be constantly on the top list of games downloaded in app stores. It is a horror survival game, with players taking on the role of a night-shift security guard who works in a pizza parlor. The game was created by Scott Cawthon.

The pizza place is famous for its animatronic band, which includes a big teddy bear, which plays kiddie tunes during the day. These animatronic animals however turn into something more sinister at night and are known for killing security personnel who are on night duty.

The Hollywood Reporter first shared the news about Warner Bros. acquiring the rights to adaptation. Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment will produce the film, with Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg.

The game’s creator, Scott Cawthon, said that “the story lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to.” Seth Grahame-Smith on the other hand says that they will work with Cawthon to make “an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”

A further description of gameplay as reported in SlashFilm may give an idea of how the film may be adapted: “The games feature a pretty unsettling art design and a backstory which involves some really nasty actions related to the animatronic animals.”

No writer is attached to the film as of yet. It will be executive produced by Adam Stone and Jay Ireland, while Jon Berg and Nik Mavinkurve will oversee the film for Warner Bros.

Lee, Grahame-Smith and Katzenberg are no strangers to the horror film genre. Lee had a hand in producing Liam Neeson’s “Run All Night” and is finishing work on the “Poltergeist” remake. Grahame-Smith and Katzenberg are currently working on a “Beetlejuice” sequel.

iPad Mini 4 Release Date, Specs News: Leaked Photos Out, Upgrade Soon to Be Unveiled? (VIDEO)

Christian Post Report – Rumors have been circulating online over Apple’s reported update on the iPad mini, with photos of what is believed to be the iPad mini 4 leaked on the Internet.

iPad Mini 4 Reuters/File

Reuters claims Sharp has all but stopped producing iPad Retina displays.

Apple may be preparing to unleash a major upgrade on its iPad mini line with a new iPad mini 4, and images of the device’s aluminum case have been circulating online from an apparently leaked photograph.

Appearing to be thinner that its predecessors, the iPad mini 4 is likely to be more like an iPad Air 2 than the previous models. Based on photos of the leaked casing, the device will have a single row speaker grill on the bottom on both sides of the Lightning port, and it also dispenses with the mute/lock switch, just like Apple’s latest Air.

Other big changes that set it apart from the current gen iPad mini is its chassis which reveals a big antenna cutout at its top, with a SIM slot on its right side, the arrangement making the 7.9-inch tablet appear to be a cellular version of the iPad mini 3.

The iPad mini 4 will be a device a majority of iPad mini users may be anticipating given the lukewarm reception the iPad mini 3 received when it made its debut in October last year after no major changes really set it apart from the iPad mini 2 apart from Touch ID and another color option in gold.

With the leaked photos of the alleged iPad mini 4 shell, users may be expecting the next gen device to match the specs of the iPad Air 3 at the very least.

Last year, the iPad mini 2 received some a generous upgrade with performance improvements via its new and faster 64-bit chip A8X processor and an 8MP camera with 1080 video recording capabilities.

The iPad mini 4 may receive the same improvements, and speculations run to an A9 processor with at least 2GB of memory similar to the iPad Air 2.

Detailed information about the iPad mini 4 remains scarce as it is still early in the release cycle, but users can expect the device to make its debut by October this year at the latest with a starting price point of $399.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Reviews, Plot Spoilers: First 4 Episodes Feature New Faces and Even More Exciting Scenes

Christian Post Report – HBO’s highly-anticipated fifth season of their hit fantasy series “Game of Thrones” still have days left before it premieres to the small screen. But for those who don’t seem to have the patience of a saint could learn some insights from the people who are privileged to view the first four episodes of the show.

HBO’s “Game of Thrones”

As to what these reviews suggested, it seems like fans won’t be disappointed when the TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novel series airs this weekend.

Brian Lowry from Variety said in his report that the coming season will see some of the major characters coming face to face with each other.

“With apologies to a sci-fi classic, the fifth season of ‘Game of Thrones’ could easily be subtitled ‘When Worlds Collide.’ Having spent four magnificent campaigns establishing various constituencies with claims to the Iron Throne, four previewed episodes connect several of them in fascinating ways, while continuing to add new faces to an already sprawling cast,” Variety wrote.

Mike Hale from The New York Times meanwhile dished out that the show will be taking a breather from all the “slaughter and grisly murders” it featured last season.

“Deaths are at a minimum. Several central characters are on the run, but none appears likely to have his or her head imminently removed,” he reported.

For those who took to their heart the news that “GoT” Season 5 will be veering away from the book canon, Vanity Fair said that they shouldn’t worry that much as it didn’t necessarily damaged the whole story.

“Season five does, so far, feel in some ways the most well-rounded season since the first, more confident to ditch side plots that, while cherished by book fans, only serve to weigh down and distract the series,” the site said. “The slimmer, streamlined series is wholly captivating: smart and suspenseful, clever and sad.”

“Game of Thrones” Season 5 premieres this Sunday, April 12, on HBO.

“I’m just starting to write it,” he revealed. “So we’ll see what happens.”

ABC’s “Revenge”

Fans will find out that Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) won’t let Emily (Emily VanCamp) have a peaceful and “promising future” now that she has already revealed to everyone her real identity as David Clark’s (James Tupper) long-lost daughter, Amanda.

A synopsis from The Futon Critic indicated that the Grayson matriarch will bring more misery to Amanda’s life by uncovering “devastating new secrets” from her past. These new revelations could also threaten the things that the young Clark has accomplished as Emily.

Aside from Victoria, Emily’s close ally, Nolan (Gabriel Mann), seems devastated and at the same time disappointed with the events happening on Emily. Nolan has strongly disagreed with Emily’s big reveal plans from the start. Now that everything was left to the open, could this mean that their friendship will be affected?

To add to the list of people unhappy with Emily’s decision, Ben (Brian Hallisay) appears dismayed and might be having second thoughts of pursuing her romantic plans with the Hampton resident.

However, not everyone in Hampton is going against Emily. Christian Today said that her childhood friend, Jack, (Nick Wechsler) is “surprisingly happy” with Emily’s revelation. Will the turn of events be favourable in his part?

NFL 2015 News, Latest Rumors: Detroit Lions Ranked NFL’s Worst Drafters

Christian Post Report – The Detroit Lions are not very good when it comes to the NFL draft. Over a 10-year period ESPN has ranked them the worst at drafting, and it wasn’t even close.

In a report on the 2002 through 2012 drafts, ESPN looked at what a players did over their first four years in the draft (using a metric from pro football reference and comparing those players with players drafted in the same position in the draft) and then ranked the 32 NFL teams on how they faired. Detroit was the only team with a negative rating at -6.2 with the Oakland Raiders coming in second worst with a rating of 2.

The Detroit Lions now have a big need at DT, what will they do in free agency to fix that problem

The period is question should not surprise anyone. It was during this period that the Lions were so bad at drafting that they assembled the only NFL roster to ever go 0-16 in 2008. It was during the season they fired their General Manager Matt Millen. However, after promising a exhaustive search they simply hired his assistant. He has not faired well in the draft either.

While the Lions have whiffed on a number of high round draft picks, the two worst of the Millen era were arguably WR Charles Rogers (the second overall pick in 2003) and WR Mike Williams (the tenth overall pick in 2005). The worst picks of the Mayhew regime seem to be WR Titus Young (44th overall pick of the 2011 draft) who recently plead guilty to felony charges, is out of the league and headed to prison. Mayhew traded back into the first round to take RB Jahvid Best with the 30th overall pick in the 2010 draft. Best had a history of concussions in College and five years later is out of football.

It should surprise no one that along with the Lions, and the Raiders, the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and St. Louis Rams were among the worst teams at drafting during this period. All of these franchises share the common trait of constant disappointment on the field.

Jeremy Lin News: Lakers Guard’s MRI Test Reveals ‘Cartilage Abnormality’, Next NBA Team Up In The Air

Jeremy Lin (Photo: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports)

Christian Post Report – Los Angeles Lakers guard Jeremy Lin (17) battles for the ball with Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat (4) and Wizards forward Kris Humphries (43) in the first quarter at Verizon Center, Washington, D.C., Dec, 3, 2014.

One of the feel-good stories for the Los Angeles Lakers coming to the 2014-15 season was Jeremy Lin, whom LA picked from Houston for his contract year.

Lin was expected to train with future Hall of Famer Steve Nash, and mesh well with Kobe Bryant going to the season.

However, in the pre-season games, Nash injured his back, calling it a season even before it began.

To make things worse, first-round pick Julius Randle was sidelined with a season-ending leg injury as well.

As for Lin’s play, he was unspectacular most of the time, only showing bits and pieces of his New York brilliance three years ago.

Ultimately, coach Byron Scott designated him to the bench, until Bryant suffered from another injury.

Since the All-Star Break, Lin has been doing pretty well on the floor, together with Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson. However, a recent ESPN report revealed that the 26-year-old guard might not play during the Lakers’ last three games.

In the report, an MRI revealed a ‘cartilage abnormality’ – the reason he sat down during the Lakers’ 106-98 win against the Timberwolves. He will be re-evaluated in the coming days to see whether he can play before the season ends.

As for his tenure with the Lakers, the former Harvard standout refuses to provide any comment, and hints that he’d just cross that bridge when he gets there.

“Kathy Bates is running the Hotel. #AHSSeason5” Murphy’s Twitter post reads.

Although it hasn’t yet been disclosed as to what the 66-year-old award-winning star will be in AHS: Hotel, speculations drawn out from Murphy’s tweet indicated that Bates could be the hotel’s manager.
