San Francisco Giants’ Buster Posey hits a run batted in (RBI) ground out to score Giants’ Marco Scutaro (not pictured) against the Los Angeles Dodgers during the fourth inning of their MLB baseball game in Los Angeles, California October 3, 2012.

This will mark the third time in five seasons that the Giants will enter opening day as the reigning World Series champions, and they will look to start their defense of the title with a win.

Taking to the mound for the Giants will be Madison Bumgarner, who will be throwing his first competitive pitches since his memorable performance in Game 7 of the World Series against the Royals way back in October.

For the Diamondbacks, veteran right-hander Josh Collmenter will be thrown the ball as Arizona look to take down the reigning champs.

The MLB 2015 opening season features numerous highlights this year. Many will be looking to Masahiro Tanaka following months of rumors and doubts surrounding his right elbow. The injury landed him on the disabled list last season, and many will want to see how his partially torn ulnar collateral ligament holds up as the season gets going today.

Another big highlight for opening day will be this contest between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The pair will meet each other 19 times this season, including a potential vital three game set, which will close out the season. Matt Kemp in particular will be looking at this game with relish, and even though he has a lot of memories at Chavez Ravine, his time there ended on a bad note, and he will be looking to gain revenge in the only way he knows how – by winning and being successful where he is now.

Another big story for opening day 2015 will be veteran Torii Hunter leading his new team, the Minnesota Twins, against his old team, the Detroit Tigers. He has said ahead of the game: “I’m fired up to face anybody, whether I face the Angels, which I had a great time, or I face the Tigers, which I had a great time with. I can tell you this: Any team I might play, they know I’m coming to play,” according to TwinCities.com.

Today’s big game between the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks will start at 10.10 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN 2 network, and also online through free live stream by clicking here.

Christian Post Report – San Jose Sharks’ Logan Couture (39) reacts after scoring the game-winning goal against Los Angeles Kings in the overtime period during Game 3 of their NHL Western Conference semifinal playoff hockey game in San Jose, California, May 18, 2013.

The San Jose Sharks host the Dallas Stars at SAP Center at San Jose in the regular season of the NHL. To be played on April 6, 2015, the puck drops at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The Sharks have had a rough season so far, they are fifth in the Pacific Division and 10th in the Western Conference. As a result they are set to miss the playoffs this year.

However, they have seemed to pick up the pace at the tail-end of the season, as they have won four of their last six matches and managed to take at least a point from five of their last six.

They beat the Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia flyers before losing to a shootout against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

However, they would bounce back with dominating performances against the Colorado Avalanche and Arizona Coyotes.

Their streak of points recently ended when they lost 5-3 to the Coyotes in their return match.

Just one point behind the Sharks in the West are the Stars.

They have only two ins in their last five matches and one of their glaring problems is on their defense.

In their last five matches, Dallas have allowed 24 goals, with crushing losses to the Edmonton Oilers (4-0), Calgary Flames (5-3) and St. Louis Blues (7-5). In their two wins against the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, they needed overtime to win and allowed their opponents to score three goals in each of those games.

This season, these two teams have already met twice, with both resulting in wins for the Sharks.

Both games were played at the American Airlines Center, with San Jose netting five goals in each game while Dallas have five goals combined.

Los Angeles Kings vs Vancouver Canucks Live Stream Free (Start Time): Watch Online NHL Hockey 2015

Christian Post Report – Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick

With only three points separating the two teams, the Los Angeles Kings try to close the gap with the Vancouver Canucks when they meet at the Rodgers Arena in the NHL. The match is on April 6, 2015 at 10:00 PM ET.

Vancouver are currently second in the Pacific Division with 95 points, while Los Angeles are fourth with 92, with the Calgary Flames in between them with 93.

As it stands, the Canucks and Flames are vying for the wild card slot, with the Anaheim Ducks already securing their playoff spot as the division winners. Both teams are in streaks, with the Canucks losing back-to-back games while the defending champions have won two straight.

Vancouver have been up and down lately, winning three straight games against the Kings, Arizona Coyotes and Winnipeg Jets before dropping two straight against the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars.

They rebounded against the St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators but find themselves again in a slump after losses to the Chicago Blackhawks and Jets.

With three matches remaining in their calendar, points are important and few bigger than this against the Kings.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles still have four matches left before the regular season ends and it seems they are getting their legs under them with back-to-back wins over the Edmonton Oilers and Avalanche.

After losing to the Minnesota Wild and Blackhawks, the Kings responded with eight goals at home against Edmonton and three against Colorado.

After their match against Vancouver, they still have Edmonton, the Flames and the San Jose Sharks.

The two teams have met four times this season, with Los Angeles taking the first three matches before Vancouver won last month. Two of the Kings’ victories have come at the Rodgers Arena, including a big 4-0 shutout in their third meeting of the season.

DC and Warner Bros. Wants ‘Lego Movie’ Directors for ‘The Flash’

The Flash DC Comics YouTube/File

Christian Post Report – A screen capture on YouTube of The Flash.

After months of focusing on the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” and “Suicide Squad” movies, some reports are saying that DC may have been neglecting its other superheroes. Not much has been heard about what’s going on with “The Flash,” until recently.

Cinema Blend reports that a rumor has been going around that DC and Warner Bros. are looking for a director to helm the project. And it seems that they have their eye on not just one, but two directors. “The Lego Movie” directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who also worked on “22 Jump Street” are reportedly being sought by DC and Warner Bros.

The duo is apparently very popular right now as another offer is on the table for them, this time to direct the new “Ghostbusters” movie for Sony. According to the report, they had earlier declined the offer but are thought to possibly reconsider because of new developments in the upcoming franchise.

A report in Collider says that the directing duo do not have any directing projects as of the moment. Most of their projects in TV and in film require them to be producers such as “The Last Man on Earth” and a reboot of “The Great American Hero” as well as “Ninjago,” “The Lego Batman Movie” and “The Lego Movie Sequel,” so it’s likely they will take a directing project soon.

Although the solo film is not coming out until 2018, the lead actor for “The Flash” has been cast. The superhero will be played by actor Ezra Miller. Miller was cast in late 2014. One of the reasons for the early casting is a cameo appearance in the upcoming “The Justice League Part One” of 2017, and then again in the movie’s sequel, which will show in 2019. It was earlier rumored that the “Fastest Man Alive” will also appear in “Batman vs. Superman” but this has been debunked.

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris Spotted Together in West Hollywood

Christian Post Report – Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are photographed at Whole Foods in Nashville.

Pop artist Taylor Swift and EDM DJ Calvin Harris seem to have declared to the rest of the world that they are dating. The pair has been seen out together the past few weeks, watching concerts and other events, the latest one being the Haim concert in West Hollywood on April 2.

Eyewitness accounts shared and reported in Hollywood Life said that the pair were “kissing” and “dancing” during the Haim concert at the Troubadour Club. Photos were also circulating online showing Taylor sitting on Calvin’s lap at one point in the night. After the concert, they were seen and photographed leaving the club holding hands. Some reports also cited their matching outfits.

Prior to this, the pair made another public appearance at the Kenny Chesney concert last March 25 in Nashville, where Taylor performed a song with Chesney. Concert goers, according to a report in ET Online, saw the pair walking hand in hand and at one point during the concert, Calvin had his arms around Taylor.

Before this, they were spotted at Whole Foods Nashville doing some grocery shopping together, also in matching outfits. As it turns out, Calvin may have taken a quick break from his hectic schedule — he was supposed to be in Brazil for a music festival — just to see Taylor who was rehearsing for her upcoming tour in Nashville, according to an E! Online report.

In late February, the rumor mill about Taylor’s love life was once again turning when she was reportedly seen cozying up with Calvin during the BRIT Awards after party. These rumors however were shot down by a subsequent report saying that Calvin was currently dating someone.

A few weeks after, according to a report in MTV, it was rumored that Calvin chartered a private jet so that Taylor and her friends could watch his concert in Las Vegas.

Jill Duggar Steps Out with Derick Dillard After Labor Pains; Turns Out to Be False Alarm

Christian Post Report – “19 Kids and Counting” star Jill Duggar is past her due date and is overdue at 41 weeks, and her husband and the couple’s fans cannot wait to meet their baby boy, whom they have dubbed Baby Dilly.

On Good Friday, April 3, Jill appeared to have gone into labor, however, it turned out to be a false alarm. A message posted on the Duggar Family Blog and official Facebook page on Friday said, “Jill is still pregnant! Do you think Baby Dilly will arrive on Easter?

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard step out for lunch after Jill had Braxton Hicks contractions, also known as false labor pains.

Derick set off the baby rumors on Thursday night when he posted a bible verse from Isaiah noting that “the Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name.”

He then added on Friday morning, “Baby Dilly will come in God’s timing.”

Jill took to Instagram on Friday to inform fans that she hasn’t given birth yet and what she thought was labor pains was only Braxton-Hicks contractions.

She posted a picture of her and her husband on a lunch date and captioned it, “Out to lunch…maybe this spicy Mexican food will make the baby come! Only Braxton Hicks contractions with this weather so far. We shall see what the weekend brings! #nobabyyet #lunchwithmyhubby.”

Braxton Hicks contractions often occur before real labor and for some women, they may begin as early as the second trimester.

Some fans have started offering advice on Jill’s Instagram page to encourage labor. “Drink castor oil,” one fan urged.

Jill, a trained midwife, recently told People that she has named April 5 as her second due date because “first time moms often go a week and a half over” their original due date.
