Christian Post Report – Prince Fielder of the Texas Rangers is shown in this file photo.

The Texas Rangers will play the Oakland Athletics on Monday night to round off a hugely exciting and dramatic MLB 2015 Opening Day. With 14 MLB games taking place today, the season is well and truly underway, and both the Rangers and Athletics will be hoping to gain a first win of the season here tonight. The game takes place from the O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California, and starts at 10.05 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on TV on the FSSW network, or online through free live stream (details below).

The A’s have a hugely different roster from Opening Day 2014, and will be hoping new faces will result in better fortunes this term. The Rangers will simply be hoping that their roster stays healthier than they were able to last year. Already there is good news for Texas; Prince Fielder and Shin-Soo Choo will both take to the field for tonight’s opening day game after missing large portions of last season.

The MLB 2015 opening season features numerous highlights this year. Many will be looking to Masahiro Tanaka following months of rumors and doubts surrounding his right elbow. The injury landed him on the disabled list last season, and many will want to see how his partially torn ulnar collateral ligament holds up as the season gets going today.

Another big highlight for opening day will be this contest between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The pair will meet each other 19 times this season, including a potential vital three game set, which will close out the season. Matt Kemp in particular will be looking at this game with relish, and even though he has a lot of memories at Chavez Ravine, his time there ended on a bad note, and he will be looking to gain revenge in the only way he knows how – by winning and being successful where he is now.

Another big story for opening day 2015 will be veteran Torii Hunter leading his new team, the Minnesota Twins, against his old team, the Detroit Tigers.

He said ahead of the game: “I’m fired up to face anybody, whether I face the Angels, which I had a great time, or I face the Tigers, which I had a great time with. I can tell you this: Any team I might play, they know I’m coming to play,” according to TwinCities.com.

Today’s big game between the Texas Rangers and the Oakland Athletics will start at 10.05 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the FSSW network, and also online through free live stream by clicking here.

Christian Post Report – The Lucas Oil Stadium will host this year’s NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball championship as the Wisconsin Badgers face-off against the Duke Blue Devils. Tip-off is on April 6, 2015 at 9:18 p.m. ET and the game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through free live stream (details below).

As the top seed in the West Region, Wisconsin showed their grit and determination as they beat Coast Carolina in the second round before edging out eighth-seeded Oregon in the third.

Duke Blue Devils forward Mason Plumlee (5) shoots around Maryland Terrapins center Alex Len (25) during the first half of their ACC Championship college basketball game in Greensboro, North Carolina March 15, 2013.

In the Sweet 16 they beat the hungry and upset-minded North Carolina Tar Heels 79-72 before setting up a mouth-watering showdown against Arizona.

Their match in the Elite Eight was an intense battle, with both teams trading buckets but it was Wisconsin who prevailed 85-78 led by Frank Kaminsky’s 29 points and Sam Dekker’s 27.

With a win over the Wildcats, the Badgers booked a date with heavily-favoured Kentucky in the Final Four. Dominating every team in the tournament so far, the Wildcats were unbeaten so far in the season, and everyone was talking about their historic run to the title.

Everyone was intimidated, except for the Badgers.

They kept things close and came up with the crucial plays when they needed as they beat Kentucky 71-64 to reach the title game. Four of five starters scored in double digits for Wisconsin, led by Kaminsky’s 20. Dekker had another good game with 16 points while Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig each had 12 points.

Wisconsin was efficient from the line, draining 18-of-22 for an 82 percent conversion rate as they limited Kentucky to only 10 attempts from the free throw.

Meanwhile, Duke was the king of the South Region and their performances in the competition gave evidence to that claim. They dominated Robert Morris in the second round, thrashed San Diego State in the third and beat Utah in the Sweet 16.

Against Gonzaga in the Elite Eight, they were given few to no challenges as they cruised to a 66-52 victory.

Many thought things would get tougher in the Final Four as they faced the Michigan State Spartans, but it was the same story as the other teams who tried to beat them.

Duke built an 11-point lead at the half and continued to pour on the pressure against their Big Ten rivals. Justise Winslow and Jahlil Okafor proved to be too much as the big men scored 19 and 18, respectively. Despite only shooting 20 percent from beyond the arc, Duke displayed their brilliance from within the paint as they converted 52 percent of their field goals in the game, while holding Michigan State to only 40 percent.

These two teams have proven their worth to win the title, now Duke and Wisconsin will try to get one more win to prove they are the best this year.

Christian Post Report – San Jose Sharks’ Logan Couture (39) reacts after scoring the game-winning goal against Los Angeles Kings in the overtime period during Game 3 of their NHL Western Conference semifinal playoff hockey game in San Jose, California, May 18, 2013.

The San Jose Sharks host the Dallas Stars at SAP Center at San Jose in the regular season of the NHL. To be played on April 6, 2015, the puck drops at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The Sharks have had a rough season so far, they are fifth in the Pacific Division and 10th in the Western Conference. As a result they are set to miss the playoffs this year.

However, they have seemed to pick up the pace at the tail-end of the season, as they have won four of their last six matches and managed to take at least a point from five of their last six.

They beat the Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia flyers before losing to a shootout against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

However, they would bounce back with dominating performances against the Colorado Avalanche and Arizona Coyotes.

Their streak of points recently ended when they lost 5-3 to the Coyotes in their return match.

Just one point behind the Sharks in the West are the Stars.

They have only two ins in their last five matches and one of their glaring problems is on their defense.

In their last five matches, Dallas have allowed 24 goals, with crushing losses to the Edmonton Oilers (4-0), Calgary Flames (5-3) and St. Louis Blues (7-5). In their two wins against the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, they needed overtime to win and allowed their opponents to score three goals in each of those games.

This season, these two teams have already met twice, with both resulting in wins for the Sharks.

Both games were played at the American Airlines Center, with San Jose netting five goals in each game while Dallas have five goals combined.

AJ Lee Retires From WWE, Husband CM Punk Reacts

A.J. Lee Facebook/ A.J.- WWE

Christian Post Report – A.J. has retired from WWE

A few days after winning at Wrestlemania 31, the three-time Divas champion AJ Lee has retired from the WWE.

The WWE released the following statement on April 3 about Lee’s retirement: “AJ Lee (April Mendez) has decided to retire from in-ring competition with WWE. We wish AJ the very best.”

Lee has been in the WWE main roster since 2009. Her first Divas Championship win was the longest in the title’s history, as she held the title for 295 days. She was also Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Woman of the Year for three consecutive years.

Lee suffered a neck injury in August 2014 and took some time to heal. On March 29, AJ and Paige teamed up against the Bella Twins at Wrestlemania 31.

She married former WWE wrestler CM Punk in 2014, and Punk made some controversial comments about the WWE back in November and he revealed that he was let go on his wedding day.

Just one day after Lee’s retirement was announced, Punk took to Twitter to echo the sentiment of his wife’s fans as he wrote, “#ThankYouAJ.”

WWE Legend Mick Foley paid tribute to Lee in a post on Facebook following the announcement.

“AJ Lee has retired from WWE—and somehow that just doesn’t seem right,” he wrote. “I have been talking for a while about a revolution in women’s wrestling—and I really do believe we are on the verge of a new dawn for women’s wrestling. When that new dawn arrives, it would only seem fitting that AJ be allowed to bask in the warmth of the rays she helped make possible.”

“AJ Lee was a pioneer—fighting her way up against all odds in the WWE developmental system, proving that unique talent, heart, and determination were just as important (if not more so) as the physical attributes that were generally accepted as necessary to find a spot near the top of the women’s roster,” he continued.

On April 5, Lee broke her silence about her retirement by tweeting, “Break the rules. Be a fighter. Any dream is possible if you are brave enough to do it YOUR way. Thank you all.”
