‘Dancing With the Stars’: Charlotte McKinney Slams Bruno Tonioli for Controversial Comment

Christian Post Report – After only three weeks on “Dancing With the Stars,” Carl’s Jr. model Charlotte McKinney was booted off the competition on Monday night. The model struggled from the beginning as she said that she didn’t want to be known just for her physical attributes. However, she and her partner Keo Motsepe kept landing on the bottom of the leaderboard and on Monday’s show, the ever-patient Motsepe appeared to have lost his cool with her as she was always on her phone during their rehearsal.

Though their performance on Monday was an improvement over their past weeks’ dances, the judges were hard on her as they said that they knew that she has the potential to succeed, if only she’d focus and work hard on it.

One particularly controversial remark came from Bruno Tonioli.

“Listen my darling, you’re never going to win the Nobel Prize for Quantum Physics, but you are easy on the eye,” he said. His remark was met with gasps and loud boos from the crowd, and Tonioli, catching on, covered his mouth with his hands and quickly said, “I’m sorry.”

Speaking to E! News, McKinney hit back at Tonioli’s comments.

“I just believe it was super uncalled for,” she said. “Especially after last week with the bullying and talking about being nice and I didn’t see where it came from. We aren’t talking about being smart or anything like that. So it was just uncalled for.”

McKinney was referring to week 2 of the competition wherein she said during their rehearsal package that she was bullied in school and had to drop out due to the bullying. Moreover, she revealed that she has dyslexia.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Joe Giudice Breaks His Silence About Teresa’s Life in Prison

Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe

Christian Post Report – Teresa Giudice, her husband Joe and their daughters were visiting prison when they had a photo taken of them for the cover of Us Weekly. The picture, taken inside the Danbury Federal Prison on March 15, shows the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star smiling, clad in a jumpsuit, her hair in its natural curls and wearing light makeup.

Now, Joe is talking about Teresa’s life in prison in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail. Joe says that despite being behind bars, his wife has managed to keep herself well-groomed and that she’s also made friends in prison.

“It’s kind of like a little low-budget spa,” said Joe. “She’s got a little group she hangs out with and does her thing with every day, and who she goes to the gym with and who she hangs out with, and who does her hair and who does her nails, they have their little thing going every day.”

Joe said that Teresa was so determined to keep up her beauty regimen that she made him and their daughters wait for an hour in the prison’s waiting room while she fixed her hair.

“We were there last weekend. She made us wait an hour to do her hair,” he said. “That was a little annoying. She said that her hair kept coming out bad. I was like, ‘Who cares?'”

Joe said that he and his daughters Gia, 14, Milania, 11, Gabriella, 9, and Audriana, 5, visit Teresa often.

“We try to make it up there every weekend, and we bring her mom up every week,” he revealed.

He said that when each visit is over, he takes it the hardest.

“It’s tough when you have to say goodbye,” he said. “I cry more than the girls. I pretty much cry every time I leave. I’m like a little baby.”

“Teresa being away definitely makes me appreciate her way more … And everything she did,” he added. “She is just an amazing woman.”

‘Assassin’s Creed Chronicles’ Trilogy Announced

Assassin's Creed Chronicles Youtube Screenshot/ file

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles

Christian Post Report – Ubisoft is adding three new titles to its “Assassin’s Creed” games, and lest anyone thinks that it might be the same as previous titles, these three games are entirely different from what gamers expect as the games will take place in three destinations: China, India, and Russia. Each game comes with a new hero from the “Assassin’s Creed” universe and while each story stands on its own, the chronicle is tied together narratively.

“Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China” will take the player to 1526, when the Ming Dynasty starts to crumble. This is an era and region that gamers have been asking for since the very first “Assassin’s Creed” game. You’ll be playing as Shao Jun, the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, returning to her homeland with a vendetta.

“Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India” lets the player assume the identity of Arbaaz Mir, who’s caught in the tension between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company in 1841. When a Master Templar arrives with a mysterious item that used to belong to the Assassin Order, Arbaaz must steal back the item and protect his friends while doing so.

History and conspiracy buffs will surely appreciate “Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia,” which occurs in Russia in 1918.

This time, the hero is Nikolai Orelov, who is required to do one last mission for the Assassin Order before he leaves the country with his family: infiltrate the tsar’s house, where the tsar’s family is being held by the Bolsheviks and steal an artifact that has been fought over by Assassins and Templars for centuries. Along the way, Nikolai witnesses the massacre of the entire family, but manages to save Princess Anastasia. So along with escaping the Templars, Nikolai must protect the artifact and Anastasia.

Ubisoft plans to release all three games this year. “Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China” will launch first on April 21 and will be free for those who purchased the season pass for “Assassin’s Creed: Unity.” Following that will be the release of “Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India” and then “Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia.”

All the games will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

‘Law & Order: SVU’ Season 16: Episode 18 Recap ‘Devastating Story’

Law & Order: SVU Facebook/ Law & Order: SVU

A scene from Law & Order: SVU season 16 episode 18 titled “Devastating Story”

Christian Post Report – This week on “Law & Order: SVU,” the show rips another story from the headlines which is based on a campus rape case which was covered by Rolling Stone. In “Devastating Story,” Olivia, Rollins, and Carisi will investigate the story of a college student who claims that she was gang raped at a frat party.

Olivia is watching a real crime TV show detailing how a young woman, who calls herself Jane, was raped at an NYC campus. Rollins and Carisi go over to talk to the show host, Skip, to know the girl’s true identity, but he refuses to do so. He tells them to go to Professor Dillon on campus.

Meanwhile, Olivia talks to the college president, but the woman tells her that Jane only slept with one boy and that she was drunk when it happened. A protest starts on campus, and when Olivia and Carisi go to check it out, there stands Jane, whose real name is Heather Manning, and she’s right in front of the protest. They ask her to come with them to the police station.

Heather tells them that the boys threw beer cans at her and called her names. She names Connor, Lance, and Zach as some of the guys who raped her. Fin, Rollins and Carisi go to the frat house to investigate, and the boys insist that no such thing happened and her date says that they did sleep together, but it was consensual. Olivia points out the video that someone uploaded of them throwing cans at Heather, and they say that it’s the gauntlet and they always do that sort of thing.

Skip is going on talk shows and telling everyone that three of the rapists have been arrested. He shows Heather at a press conference and she’s talking about how six men raped her. Skip says that there’s video of the assault and her DNA on hockey sticks which the men used to beat her up.

Olivia brings in Heather and Professor Dillon. Olivia says that Heather has to stop going on talk shows, and Carisi tells her that she’s hurting her own case. Heather says that she has appearances on Anderson Cooper and Rachel Maddow and she can’t stop now.

Later, they talk to Skip and the host says that he only talked to Dillon and Heather. Skip says Heather’s story checked out but he says that he has to work on a retraction.

It turns out that out of all that she accused of raping her, only Connor actually raped Heather. But because Dillon screwed the facts, the charges against all six had to be dropped, including Connor, and he gets away.

“They thought this would be the case to change rape culture, and it did,” said Olivia. “It set the clock back 30 years.”

“Law & Order: SVU” airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.

‘Modern Family’ Season 6: Episode 19 Recap ‘Grill, Interrupted’

Modern Family Facebook/ Modern Family

Phil leads Jay to his birthday present on Modern Family

Christian Post Report – On this week’s episode of “Modern Family,” Phil attempts to give Jay the best birthday present ever, Luke and Manny try to sneak a few shots of tequila, Cam gets an inheritance from his uncle, and Alex gets accepted by CalTech.

It’s Jay’s birthday, and Phil is determined to give his father in law the best present ever. He gives Jay a state-of-the-art grill as a gift. However, Phil’s plan to impress Jay backfires when he turns on the rotisserie feature and chicken starts flying off the grill. “Why is this even a setting?!” Phil yells as he uses a pot cover to shield himself from the flying food. Later, as a grand gesture, Phil presents Jay with a check to cover the downpayment that Jay paid on the Dunphy’s house, which he never told them.

Gloria is trying to catch Luke taking forbidden sips of tequila, so she gets the bottle and fills it up with water. Upon discovering the unattended bottle, Luke and Manny go online to research how to drink tequila. As they’re drinking the “tequila,” Gloria informs them that they’ve drunk the worm and that scares the daylights out of them. Later, the boys take an ice bath and Gloria snaps a picture of them, threatening them that if she ever catches them drinking again, she’ll send the photo to everyone at their school.

Meanwhile, Cam gets an inheritance from his uncle, and Mitchell thinks that it’s a good idea to buy the unit upstairs. Cam agrees with him, but in truth, he already spent the money to buy matching fur coats for him and Lily, so he works on a plan to delay buying the house until he has sold the coats. However, he doesn’t know that Mitchell already gave the money to Jay to pay him back for buying him a house when he moved out.

Alex gets into CalTech, and Claire and Phil are worried that they didn’t react well enough as Alex is more standoffish than ever. It turns out that she’s scared about going to CalTech and not living up to the expectations of everyone. Alex and Jay have a heart to heart, and he shows her the family fighting in the driveway, Cam in a fur coat, and he tells her the reason why she has to go to CalTech is because “the family needs a leader and I can’t do it forever.” As they look at the bickering going on, it’s clear that Jay thinks that Alex is more than capable of leading the family one day.

“Modern Family” airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.

Dancing with the Stars Facebook/ Dancing with the Stars

Charlotte McKinney and Keo Motsepe on Dancing with the Stars

Christian Post Report – The competition heats up as the contestants gave fierce performances for Latin Night of “Dancing With the Stars.” For week 3 of the competition, the celebrities and their pro partners danced the Salsa, Tango, Paso Doble, Cha-cha as they get closer to winning the Mirror Ball Trophy. At the end of the night, two pairs were at the top of the leaderboard, and one pair was eliminated.

Here’s a recap of the scores and performances of week 3 of “Dancing With the Stars”

Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Disco-salsa
Score: 33 (out of 40)
The pair’s disco-salsa routine got the evening started on a high note. Len Goodman called the performance “the best dance I’ve seen this season, and Carrie Ann Inaba said that although she had misgivings about combining disco with salsa, the end result was “fabulous”.

Charlotte McKinney and Keo Motsepe
Dance: Rumba
Score: 22
The model appeared to be distracted during their rehearsals, but their rumba earned a standing ovation from the audience. Inaba told McKinney that they were so hard on her because they saw so much potential in her, and there were murmurs of shock and disapproval when Bruno Tonioli told her, “You’re never going to win the Nobel Prize for quantum physics but you are easy on the eyes.” Tom Bergeron managed to lighten the mood as he told Tonioli, “Neither are you.”

Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Salsa
Score: 24
The judges had a lot of constructive criticism for the pair’s salsa. Julianne Hough said that the last two weeks’ performances were “definitely stronger.” Goodman said, “Dance is a little bit like life. You have good days and not so good days. Tonight, not so good.”

Riker Lynch and Allison Holker
Dance: Salsa
Score: 34
The pair’s energetic salsa made Inaba say that for the first time, she sees a male contender for the title. Goodman told Lynch that he’s not the best dancer this season, but he could be because he’s got flair.

Suzanne Somers and Tony Dovolani
Dance: Samba
Score: 25
Goodman likened the pair’s samba to Somers’ fruity headpiece: “juicy, fruity, and full of fun.” Inaba said that she would have wanted to see more depth at this point in the competition.

Chris Soules and Witney Carson
Dance: Argentine Tango
Score: 28
After their performance which placed them at the bottom of the leaderboard last week, Soules redeemed himself with a spectacular tango with Carson. Hough dubbed him as “the comeback kid” while Tonioli marveled at their connection.

Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec
Dance: Rumba
Score: 29
The pair’s romantic rumba captivated the judges and Tonioli said that “that’s how you set the mood for love.” Hough said that it was one of Herjavec’s best performances.

Patti LaBelle and Artem Chigvintsev
Dance: Cha-cha
Score: 22
Though the pair’s cha-cha was a crowd pleaser, the judges said that they wanted to see more content at this stage of the competition. Inaba said that the performance left her underwhelmed, while Goodman told her that she had “great musicality and charm.”

Willow Shields and Mark Ballas
Dance: Paso doble
Score: 32
The pair’s paso doble earned them a standing ovation. Goodman said “That’s going to be hard to beat.” Tonioli said that the 14-year old was getting a taste of the competition and learning to become a dancer.

Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Argentine Tango
Score: 30
Galloway rehearsed with a prosthetic arm for the first time but ultimately decided not to use it for the competition. The U.S. Army veteran showed strength, grace and dexterity as he lifted Burgess, and Hough said that she was “blown away” by the performance, while Goodman praised Burgess’ choreography.

Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough
Dance: Samba
Score: 34
Inaba loved Liukin’s flexibility but cautioned her about being so flexible that she overextended her moves. Tonioli said that the performance was “tribal and exhilarating.”

In the end, McKinney was eliminated. “I wanted to make you happy, that was my main thing,” said McKinney to Motsepe. “I learned so much.” She also said that the show was “such a challenge” and that she was “extremely grateful” to be in it.

ISIS Claims Using Child Executioners Is Justified by Muhammad’s Teachings on the Muslim Way of Life

A young boy reportedly executes an alleged Israeli spy in an ISIS propaganda video released by the Islamic State on March 10, 2015.

Christian Post Report – In the newest edition of its monthly English-language magazine, the Islamic State terrorist group attempts to justify the use of child executioners in two of its publicized execution videos by stating that coercing children to commit murder is consistent with Muhammad’s teachings and the muslim way of life.

According to Radio Free Europe, the eighth edition of ISIS’ Dabiq magazine contains an article titled “The Lions of Tomorrow,” which praises two children who carried out videoed executions of alleged “spies.” One of the boys was seen shooting dead two alleged “Russian spies” in a video released in January, while the other boy was featured in a video released in early March that showed him killing an alleged “Israeli spy.”

Although many in the West were stunned or appalled to see the militant group using children who looked no older than 12 to ruthlessly commit heinous executions, the article justifies using children to carry out their acts of terror by declaring that the practice is part of the “Sunnah,” or the Muslim way of life based on Muhammad’s teachings and interpretations of the Quran.

“As expected, the kuffar [infidels] were up in arms about the Khalifa’s [caliphate] use of ‘child soldiers,'” the article states. “This was the Sunnah of Allah’s messenger, who would allow those capable from among the young Sahabah [Muhammad’s companions] to participate in his battles against the mushrikun [polytheists].”

The Radio Free Europe piece states that the Dabiq article implies that ISIS “deliberately” chose to film the execution in order to anger Westerners.

The Dabiq article continues with a defense of ISIS’ use of child soldiers in their “Cubs of the Caliphate” training camps, stating that ISIS is simply fulfilling its obligation to the children within it’s caliphate to prepare them for the strenuous battle they must face against the “crusaders” in order to defend the name of Islam.

“The Islamic State has taken upon itself to fulfill the Ummah’s [the global Muslim community] duty toward this generation by preparing it to face the crusaders and their allies in defense of Islam,” the article asserts. “It has established institutes for the lion cubs to train and hone their military skills.”

Another recently released ISIS video shows children leading a group of eight Syrian captives to their place of execution, and handing out knives to the militants who carried out the beheadings.

Also in the eighth edition of the magazine, ISIS attempts to justify its destruction of historical and ancient artifacts housed within museums and monasteries in Iraq by writing that the purpose of the artifacts are to “oppose the guidance of Allah and his messenger and only serves a nationalist agenda.”

In last October’s edition of the Dabiq magazine, the terrorist group argued that its enslavement of captured religious minority women as sex slaves is covered under Sharia law.

“Before Shaytan [Satan] reveals his doubts to the weak-minded and weak hearted, one should remember that enslaving the families of kuffar [infidels] and taking their women as concubines is a firmly established aspect of the Shariah that if one were to deny or mock, he would be denying or mocking the verses of the Quran and the narration of the [Muslim] prophet … and thereby apostatizing from Islam,” the October Dabiq article stated.

Stan Lee to Make TV Drama ‘Lucky Man’

Stan Lee REUTERS/Danny Moloshok/Files

Comic book creator and executive producer Stan Lee poses on a motorcycle at the world premiere of the film “Marvel’s The Avengers” in Hollywood, California, in this April 11, 2012, file photo.

Christian Post Report – Reknown comic book creator Stan Lee is doing a different kind of superhero story, this time for TV. Deadline reported that Lee is teaming up with Carnival Films, the same outfit that brought to TV “Downton Abbey,” to work on a new drama series called “Lucky Man.”

“Lucky Man” was reportedly ordered by British network Sky1, which will be a 10-part one-hour long series. It will be Lee’s first time to work in British TV, particularly the drama genre. It will be aired sometime in 2016. NBC Universal will distribute the series internationally.

Actor James Nesbitt, of “The Missing” has been cast to play the lead role in the series. Other cast members are Eve Best as the wife, Sienna Guillory, Amara Karan, Darren Boyd, Omid Djalili, Jing Lusi and Kenneth Tsang.

“Lucky Man” will be based on a character created by Lee. As he is well known for his superhero creations such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, among others, his story for “Lucky Man” is focused on a different kind of superhero.

The “lucky man” is Harry Clayton, a down and out of luck cop working in a Murder Squad in Central London. His wife and child has left him and he owes a ton of debt to a local crime lord because of his gambling. His luck changes when he is given a charm by some mysterious woman that apparently lets him control luck itself.

According to another report in the Den of Geek, luck has always fascinated Lee.

“Luck has always been a fascinating subject to me, and I am excited to finally share that fascination with audiences around the world,” he said.

One of the show’s producers, Richard Fell of Carnival Films calls it “a different superhero show — Stan has come up with an absolutely brilliant idea; something that we can all relate to. What if you could control luck? Would that be the greatest thing you could give someone, or their worst nightmare? It’s a twist which brings the whole superhero genre right back down to Earth, which we hope will appeal to the Sky1 audience.”

Disney Plans Live Action ‘Mulan’ Film

After the apparent success of Disney’s live action adaptation of the classic fairy tale “Cinderella,” the studio is now working on another live action retelling of one of its recent animated films, “Mulan.”

The Hollywood Reporter first reported Disney’s plans, saying that the studio already acquired a script that has been written by writing team Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek who were both relatively unknown in the industry. The story of course touches on the legend of Hua Mulan, a Chinese woman warrior who pretended to be a man in order to join the imperial army in place of her ailing father.

With a script in hand, Disney is said to be looking for a director who will helm the project. No news as of yet as to who is being eyed. The film however already has its producers. Chris Bender and J.C. Spinks of Benderspink are producing the film together with Jake Weiner.

The new, two-disc DVD of ‘Mulan.’

This is not Disney’s first attempt to bring to life the story of Mulan in the big live action screen. There was an earlier try with actress Zhang Ziyi five years ago but it never materialized. There is also a non-Hollywood feature film that came out in 2009 called “Mulan: Rise of a Warrior” which was starred in by Chinese actress Zhao Wei.

According to another report in Screen Rant, the movie will likely focus on the story and like the live action “Cinderella,” will not be a musical. It all depends on the script and how much of it is reflective of the animated feature or the story in the Chinese history books.

It is no wonder why Disney is pushing projects of retelling or reimagining of any of its creative property. It has proven with “Cinderella,” and even with “Maleficent” and “Alice in Wonderland” that remakes can bring in a lot of revenue. Cinderella already earned $336.2 million in just three weeks, while “Alice in Wonderland” earned over $1 billion in 2010 and “Maleficent” at over $700 million in 2014.

The studio has similar projects in the pipeline such as “Beauty and the Beast,” an “Alice in Wonderland” sequel, a new version of “The Jungle Book” and a live action adaptation of “Dumbo.”

‘Little Boy’ Exclusive Clip Reveals the Secret to Having Child-Like Faith

Little Boy (Photo: Courtesy Daniel Daza)

The official image for ‘Little Boy.’

An exclusive new look at the upcoming film “Little Boy” previews the heartwarming story about the indescribable love a child has for his father just weeks from the premiere.

In theaters everywhere on April 24 through Open Road Films, “Little Boy” follows a little boy named Pepper whose father is drafted during World War II. Willing to do whatever it takes to get his father back home safely, Pepper takes an oath of faith and searches for a miracle.

“How could I get bigger faith?” Pepper fervently asks the pastor in a brand new clip from the film.

“The list, the ancient list,” the priest, portrayed by Tom Wilkinson, responds. “For centuries people believed that if you do this list it’ll make your faith powerful. This is what you have to do: feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, visit those in prison, clothe the naked…”

“Naked?” Pepper adorably inquires.

“Visit the sick, and bury the dead,” Father Oliver continues.

“Little Boy” stars David Henrie, Ali Landry, Kevin James, Eduardo Verastegui and child star Jakob Salvati. Written and directed by Smithsonian Institute Award-winning Alejandro Monteverde, the film highlights themes of faith, hope and love in the face of adversity. Born and raised in Mexico, the director said his success in Hollywood is not nearly as important as his relationship with God.

Furthermore, the husband and wife duo Roma Downey and Mark Burnett executive produced “Little Boy” with hopes that the film encourages audiences across the world. The pair are also responsible for the upcoming television mini-series, “A.D. – The Bible Continues.”
