‘Wolverine 3’ Cast News, Update: Hugh Jackman Says Film Will Be His Last as Mutant

Christian Post Report – Australian actor Hugh Jackman is eponymous for being the Marvel X-Men mutant, Wolverine, in the hit X-Men franchise. Ever since the movie took off, he has been featured as the titular hero in two spin-off films, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and on “The Wolverine” in 2013.

The actor, who has played the role since 2000, previously told in an interview with E! Online that he is willing to wear the adamantium claws prosthetics and “keep playing” the character until “I die.”

However, fans of the 46-year-old “Real Steel” star were quite surprised to learn through his social media account that apparently, “Wolverine 3” will be his last.

“WOLVERINE …ONE LAST TIME. HJ,” reads his Instagram post which comes along with a picture of what appears to be his knuckled up hands.

The news didn’t actually come as a bit of surprise as the third sequel could also be the last in the Wolverine standalone franchise series.

“I don’t know yet. We’re talking it through. I still am very ambitious for the character. And tonally I feel like we corrected the ship with the last one. But I feel we can still go further, in a way. If I did another one I’m 99.9 percent sure it would be the last, so that will inform what it is for me,” he told Screen Rant previously.

It was meanwhile reported that series director James Mangold is already in the preparation stage to kick off the project. Replying to Jackman’s Twitter post, he said:

“Can’t wait to make this, HJ! Been toiling quietly a while now!”

The still yet-to-be-titled “Wolverine 3” is slated to hit the theatres on March 3, 2017.

Amanda Knox Court Hearing News, Update: 27-Year-Old Cleared of Murder Charges

Amanda Knox Reuters/File

Amanda Knox sits alone before being interviewed on the set of ABC’s morning television show “Good Morning America” in New York (January 2014)

Christian Post Report – Amanda Knox has once again been acquitted of the murder of the British student Meredith Kercher by Italy’s Supreme Court of Cassation on Friday, March 27, 2015.

A report from British publication, Express U.K., said that the 27-year-old former American student and her ex-lover Raffaele Sollecito were cleared of the charges pointing to the eight-year murder case.

“The decision by the supreme Court of Cassation is the final ruling in the case, ending an eight-year legal battle waged by Knox and her ex-boyfriend,” the media outlet said.

Knox later on said in a statement: “I am tremendously relieved and grateful for the decision of the Supreme Court of Italy. The knowledge of my innocence has given me strength in the darkest times of this ordeal. But I have received invaluable support from family, friends and strangers. To them I say thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

The Washington-native maintains that she and Meredith were friends.

“Meredith was my friend,” she said. “She deserved so much in this life.”

“Surprised and very shocked,” Meredith’s mother, Arline Kercher, was asked if they have any plans to contest the ruling.

“I really don’t know at the moment, I haven’t got any plans,” she said.

According to Express, the reasoning behind the decision given by the country’s high court will be disseminated “within 90 days.”

Both Sollecito and Knox were imprisoned after Kercher’s body was found with 47 separate wounds on November 1, 2007.

The pair was convicted of murder and sexual assault in December 2009. Sollecito was sentenced to 26 years in prison while Knox got 25 years of incarceration.

Four years later, a court in Perugia ruled out the convictions and acquitted them.

Following the acquittal, a court in Florence reopened the case and on Jan. 30 of last year, Knox and Sollecito were sentenced back with higher jail time.

The decision was then recently overturned by the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation.

Rudy Guede, who found guilty in October 2008, remains the only person convicted of the said murder for 16 years of imprisonment.

George R.R. Martin Reacts to News ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Will Bypass Books

Game of Thrones Series Opening/Screenshot

In the midst of discouraging news author George R.R. Martin’s sixth book may be released well beyond the time period expected by fans, rumors have emerged HBO’s “Game of Thrones” may bypass the books it is based on.

Christian Post Report – With “The Winds of Winter” completion still hanging in the balance, speculations have arisen that HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” the multi-awarded fantasy miniseries, based on George R.R. Martin’s books, may move forward despite the absence of the sixth novel.

“A Song of Fire and Ice” author, Martin, has stated he is not privy to that information and remains adamant on completing the sixth book in his epic fantasy series with the same unhurried pace he has maintained.

“I don’t know. I mean, that’ll be up to the fans. The show is going forward, I’m going forward. We’ll see,” the 66-year-old novelist told Access Hollywood.

“Game of Thrones” long-awaited season five is scheduled to premiere on April 12, and with much of the storyline of the fifth book, “A Dance with Dragons” already in play for the season, the following year may see a dearth of source material for season six.

The departure from the original novels has already began, with Martin announcing spoilers earlier this year, saying the show’s creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, were killing off several major characters in season five that were still alive where the fifth book left off in 2011.

Reports have slowly been trickling in about the show eventually outpacing the books and creating its own material independent of the book series.

Martin himself has confirmed on his LiveJournal that he hasn’t been responsible for writing any of the “Game of Thrones” season five episodes, and neither will he pen any for the sixth season, either. He explained he made the decision to steer clear of writing for the show to focus more of his time in finishing the sixth book.

Earlier this month, he had announced he was cancelling appearances to two of his annual haunts, the Comic-Con in San Diego in July, and the World Fantasy Convention in Saratoga Springs in November, to devote his energies to completing “The Winds of Winter.”

With the pressure coming in from fans of the books, viewers of the show, and the show’s executives and producers, Martin is continuing to shrug off entreaties to finish his 1,500-page tome, and is focusing on creating a memorable read for his audiences instead.

Christian Post Report – Iconic girl group Destiny’s Child reunited at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Las Vegas on Saturday to perform Michelle Williams’ No. 1 hit “Say Yes.”

Williams, who was nominated for several Stellar awards, hit the stage dressed in an elegant white suit and belted out a short but heartfelt rendition of the late Andraé Crouch’s “Always Remember.” Beyonce and Kelly added harmonies to the Acapella performance and then the trio lit up the crowd with “Say Yes.”

“Everybody put your hands together,” a denim-clad Beyonce told the crowd. “Ya’ll ready?”

“Say Yes” is off Williams’ fourth gospel album, Journey to Freedom, which scored four Stellar nominations. The up-tempo song is a remix on the Nigerian gospel hymn “When Jesus Says Yes.”

The song blends West African gospel with contemporary dance music and features uplifting and inspiring lyrics about Christ and the power of faith.

“I’m not worried ’bout a thing / ‘Cause I know You are guiding me / Where You lead me Lord I will go /
I have no fear cause I know who’s in control,” Beyonce sang.

The trio, which last reunited for the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, danced and worshipped for more than 5 minutes before closing out the performance. The song won Music Video of the Year.

“This song is so inspiring, and there’s not enough music out there like this, and I’m proud to be a part of it,” Beyonce once told “Good Morning America” about “Say Yes,” with Kelly adding, “[It’s infectious] … I think the world needs to hear it.”

Gospel music powerhouse Erica Campbell, who is a friend of Williams, was nominated for 10 Stellar Awards and she took home 4 for her solo record Help, including one Stellar for Contemporary Female of the Year.

Tiffany Joy McGhee’s “Amazing” won Song of The Year and Lecrae took home Rap/Hip Hop CD of The Year.

James Bond ‘Spectre’ Teaser Trailer Shows 007 on A Mysterious Quest to Uncover His Past (VIDEO)

The first image for the upcoming James Bond movie, Spectre.

Christian Post Report – The new James Bond “Spectre” trailer was released Friday showing the suave spy master on a mysterious quest at his family’s old estate.

The 24th James Bond film “Spectre” has just given audiences an eerie look at a dark and baffling quest 007 has set himself to solve involving Skyfall, his family’s torched estate in Scotland.

The teaser’s somber and moody atmosphere sets the tone for what may very well be an unwanted discovery about James Bond’s past.

Daniel Craig, in what many say is his last turn as 007, sifts through personal effects found in the burned ruins in his family’s lands, turning up a photograph of a female adult holding the hands of two boys, one of which has his face burned off.

Could James Bond have had a sibling?

“You’ve got a secret,” Eve Monepenny, played by Naomie Harris from the previous Bond film, “Skyfall” says ominously in the trailer. “Something you can’t tell anyone, because you don’t trust anyone.”

At the end of the trailer, Bond finds himself in an exclusive enclave surrounded by sinister figures, and a voice calls out from the shadows welcoming him, chiding him for staying away so long.

With the critical and commercial success of “Skyfall” in 2012, 007 fans and movie audiences are expecting great things from “Spectre when it opens in theaters in November 6 this year.

“Skyfall’s” cast is returning to join Craig in the upcoming film, including Ralph Fiennes, who takes over from Dame Judi Dench as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q. New faces to the franchise will include the two Bond women, Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux, as well as Oscar Winner Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista as the villains in the story.

Chicago Blackhawks’ Jonathan Toews congratulates goalie Corey Crawford after their team defeated the Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 of their NHL Western Conference final hockey playoffs in Chicago, Illinois, June 2, 2013.

Christian Post Report – On March 30, 2015, the Chicago Blackhawks host the Los Angeles Kings at the United Center in the NHL. The puck drops at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Both teams are currently racing to reach at least a wild card spot before the playoffs begin, and this all-important head-to-head battle could determine which of them moves on and who goes out.

Already meeting twice this season, this will be a series decider between the two after each team holds a win over the other.

Both times the match was held in California, with the Blackhawks taking two points in late November. The match ended 4-1 with Daniel Carcillo finding the back of the net in less than two minutes from the start of the game. Brad Richards doubled the lead with two minutes left in the first period.

Jordan Nolan cut the lead in half with a tip-in in the second period but Richards scored his second and secured the two-goal lead with a wrister after two minutes. Brandon Saad scored in the third period to formally complete the route, as Chicago dominated in the offensive end as they outshot the Kings 25-20 after three periods.

In their second meeting in January, the Kings got their revenge after a tough 4-3 win. This time, it was Patrick Kane who scored early for the Kings but Jeff Carter leveled the score in the ninth minute. Patrick Sharp was able to give Chicago back the lead in the 12th minute and the Blackhawks ended the period leading 2-1.

Carter got his second of the game, a power-play goal, in the second period to bring it back level but Andrew Shaw scored early in the third period for the lead to return to Chicago. With less than ten minutes remaining, Tyler Toffoli scored to bring things 3-3 before Jake Muzzin eventually found the winner in the 57th minute for Los Angeles.

Kate Middleton Baby Due Date: Duchess Steps Out for Final Official Appearances Before New Baby Arrives

Kate Middleton Instagram/ kensingtonroyal

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chat with young people and hear their stories during a visit to the XLP London bus, a mobile youth centre parked in the Hazel Grove estate in Sydenham, London.

Christian Post Report – Kate Middleton, who has a month to go before she gives birth to her second child, attended three engagements in one day on Friday, March 27 in South East London. This marks the Duchess of Cambridge’s final public appearances before she goes on maternity leave.

The Duchess and her husband Prince William took a tour of the Stephen Lawrence Centre, a place for community learning and social research. The community center was named after Lawrence, who was killed in a racially motivated attack while waiting for a bus in London in April 1993.

For the event, the 33-year old royal donned a hot pink Mulberry coat and accessorized with black pumps. The Prince donned a navy, single breasted suit which he teamed with a purple tie.

Baroness Doreen Lawrence of Clarendon accompanied their Royal Highnesses during the tour. The Duke and Duchess then met with SLIK (Stephen Lawrence Instills Knowledge) Magazine editors in the PC room who are working on The Write Way project, a digital magazine and website project which offers young people aged 16 to 26 the opportunity to create, design, and manage a digital magazine and interactive website.

Before leaving, the couple signed the visitors’ book and the Duchess was given a bouquet of flowers.

Next, the royals visited XLP, “The Excel Project”, a Christian charity which works with disadvantaged young people that has an emphasis on being faith-based, but not faith-biased. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met key volunteers and supporters of the organization as well as young people from each of the boroughs XLP supports. They also visited an XLP community bus and the XLP mobile recording studio on the Hazel Grove Estate.

Last week, the Duchess revealed at another event that her second child will arrive by “mid-to-end” of April.
