Christian Post Report – LG became the talk of CES 2015 when the tech company unveiled the LG G Flex 2, a phone designed to flex and bend and can self-heal in a matter of seconds. The phone’s innovative design sent tech fans scrambling to know when the device will be available, because aside from its unique form, the phone has better specs than its predecessor.

Meanwhile, Google’s Nexus 6 is just a few months older than the G Flex 2, but the handset’s top of the line specs, big screen and premium build has made it a consistent favorite among Android phone fans.

Here, we compare the two devices:

Design:
The Nexus 6 is Google’s first supersized smartphone, and he phone measures 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inches and weighs 6.49 ounces. The phone has an aluminum frame with a matte, plastic back, has curved edges, and is available in Cloud White and Midnight Blue.

Meanwhile, the LG G Flex 2 is truly one of a kind—it’s a phone with a curved shape, which flattens when it’s pressed down, but springs back to its original shape once pressure has been taken off of it. The phone measures 5.87 x 2.96 x 0.37 inches and weighs 5.36 ounces and has a self-healing coat, which makes scuffs and scratches disappear in 10 seconds. The G Flex 2 comes in Flamingo Red and Platinum Silver.

Features:
When it comes to the screens, the Google phone dominates in size and resolution as the Nexus 6 has a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and pixel density of 493ppi, while the G Flex 2 has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

The Google Nexus 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, while the G Flex 2 has a a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 octa-core processor. Both phones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Google device has a 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, while the LG phone has a 13MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera.

Price:
The LG G Flex 2 costs $600 off contract, while the Google Nexus 6 costs $750 for the 32GB model and $820 for the 64GB model.

‘World of Warcraft’ Patch 6.1.2 Will Set The Stage For $20 WoW Tokens Trade

Christian Post Report – Blizzard Entertainment announced it will introduce $20 Tokens to the “World of Warcraft” game to follow its recent release of Patch 6.1.2.

Popular online role-playing MMORPG, “World of Warcraft,” will soon have a new game structure to accommodate $20 WoW Tokens with Blizzard Entertainment’s March 23 release of its latest Patch 6.1.2.

The Tokens will allow players to trade in-game gold and game time within the next few weeks following the release of Patch 6.1.2. Patch notes on the game’s website announced it would wait until after the patch had gone live for a time to launch the $20 Tokens accessibility to.ensure the game features were solid enough to support the Token system.

When the Tokens capability has been launched, players will be able to purchase them in the game’s Shop using real money. They will also be able to exchange their Tokens for gold at the Auction House based on the going market rate.

With the set market price and clear-cut exchange system, players need not have to worry about their Tokens selling or being undercut due to market shifts. All players who buy or sell Tokens will receive the exact amount of gold they have been quoted.

As soon as a player uses gold to purchase a WoW Token from the Auction House, the Token automatically becomes a Soulbound which can be redeemed for an equivalent of 30 days of game time.

The $20 WoW Tokens will be priced at “roughly equivalent in each local currency,” the Patch notes stated, with the starting gold value for each region dependent on the region’s in-game economy, as well as what the game developers deem to be a fair and reasonable price. From that point onward, the gold value for Tokens will be determined by a dynamic system based on supply and demand.

The Tokens will initially become available in North America, and will roll out over time to other regions.

New York Congregation Is the First to Leave Presbyterian Church (USA) Following Vote to Approve Gay Marriage

Christian Post Report – A small congregation in New York has voted unanimously to leave Presbyterian Church (USA) following the mainline denomination’s recent vote to approve gay marriage.

Brighton Presbyterian Church, a 200-year-old congregation in Rochester, voted Sunday to seek dismissal from its PCUSA regional body, the Presbytery of Genesee Valley.

The vote to disaffiliate came not long after a majority of presbyteries in PCUSA approved an amendment to their Book of Order defining marriage to include same-sex couples.

Kerry E. Luddy, spokeswoman for Brighton Presbyterian and wife of the head pastor, told The Christian Post that the decision to leave “is not a sudden decision.”

“We have been prayerfully considering this for about two years, and officially began the discernment process in mid-2014,” said Luddy.

“Our reason for leaving is centered on the status of biblical interpretation within the PC(USA). We believe that Scripture’s meaning and intent should not be altered to fit a current culture.”

Earlier this month, a majority of PCUSA presbyteries voted in favor of Amendment 14-F, which changed the definition of marriage for the denomination.

While PCUSA’s Book of Order originally defined marriage as being between “a man and a woman,” Amendment 14-F changed it to “two people, traditionally a man and a woman.”

Support for Amendment 14-F was notable from the start, with “yes” votes from the regional bodies, or presbyteries, outnumbering “no” votes early on.

Two weeks into March, PCUSA was a mere seven votes away from Amendment 14-F succeeding, with 79 presbyteries voting “yes” and 37 voting “no.”

One of the 79 “yes” votes was the Presbytery of East Tennessee, which narrowly approved the amendment with a vote of 61-56 following a meeting in Chattanoga.

“We have a lot of students who come into our campus ministry with their story being one of hurt and shame given to them by the church,” said University of Tennessee campus minister Kally Elliott at the meeting.

“Our goal is to share with them the love of Jesus Christ and to let them know that they are fully loved, fully welcomed as they are, who they are.”

Genesee Valley, a presbytery that includes over 60 congregations, was one of the regional bodies to vote in favor of Amendment 14-F.

The Rev. Amy Fowler, chief administrative officer for the presbytery, told CP that Brighton Presbyterian has “just completed the first phase” seeking dismissal.

“No other congregations have indicated since last Tuesday that they will request to enter the process,” added Fowler.

Regarding next steps in the process, Luddy explained to CP that Brighton Presbyterian had not yet chosen another Presbyterian church to seek affiliation with, but that it would be one “that fits both our reformed theology and one that values women in leadership.”

This is not the first time PCUSA has had controversy over its move toward greater acceptance of homosexuality within the church.

In 2010, the PCUSA General Assembly approved Amendment 10a, a measure allowing for presbyteries to approve ordination of noncelibate homosexuals. In response to Amendment 10a over 150 congregations voted to disaffiliate from the mainline denomination, with many forming the theologically conservative Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians.

Some have speculated that a similar exodus may befall the largest Presbyterian church in the United States in response to the passage of Amendment 14-F.

Christian Post Report – Marvel is set to start filming “Captain America: Civil War” in a few weeks. If the new Spider-Man is supposed to make his appearance in the movie, reports are saying that Marvel should have found the right actor for the role as early as now.

After Sony and Marvel struck a deal to bring in Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a lot of speculation has been going on about how Sony will reboot the Spider-Man franchise. The deal effectively killed “The Amazing Spider-Man” series of movies and booted out actor Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. One rumor was that the reboot will follow the “Ultimate Spider-Man” storyline and bring in Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man.

Yet another rumor was that Marvel and Sony will work with a retelling of the origins story of the web-crawler, with a young teenage Peter Parker. If reports are to be believed, this may just be the direction Sony and Marvel are taking.

According to a report in BadAss Digest, Marvel is supposedly casting young actors for the role of Spider-Man. In particular, the report mentions that 16-year-old Mateus Ward, a relative unknown in the movie industry secretly auditioned for the part. Ward is better known for his acting on TV, in the series “Hostages” and “Murder in the First.”

Casting a younger actor supposedly signifies that Marvel and Sony are thinking of the long-term, since there are still plans for solo Spider-Man movies in a few years. A report in Screen Rant confirms this observation, that whoever will play Spider-Man must do so for years to come. This same actor will have to reprise the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in the Spider-Man films of Sony.

While Ward has not been confirmed as the one who has been cast to play Peter Parker, this rumor still confirms Marvel’s move to cast 16 to 17 year old actors for the part.

‘The Crow’ Remake News: Jack Huston to Star as ‘The Crow’

Christian Post Report – “The Crow” is making a comeback. The undead avenger Eric Draven will be played by actor Jack Huston, who recently played the facially disfigured Richard Harrow in “Boardwalk Empire.” The movie is a remake of the 1994 film that originally starred the late Brandon Lee as the Crow.

Jack Huston is also set to play Judah Ben-Hur in the remake of “Ben-Hur” by Paramount and MGM, as well as star in “The Longest Ride” and “Pride, Prejudice and Zombies,” according to a Variety report.

Aside from Huston, it has also been reported that Jessica Findlay Brown was cast as Draven’s fiancé, Shelly Webster.

“The Crow” is based on the graphic novel of Jason O’Barr of the same title, first published in 1989. It follows the story of Eric Draven, a musician who rises from the dead to avenge his death and that of his fiancé in the hands of local thugs who worked for a local gang boss.

The remake will be directed by Corin Hardy, who signed on December 2014, after F Javier Gutierrez said he was committed to directing “The Ring 3.” Hardy is known for his 2015 thriller “The Hallow” in the Sundance Film Festival.

The film will be produced by Edward Pressman, Kevin Misher, Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh, Jeff Most and Jeff Waxman. Pressman was involved in the 1994 movie. Jason O’Barr is a creative consultant for the reboot. The film’s Executive Producers include Gutierrez, Tucker Tooley, Bob and Harvey Weinstein and Dan Farah.

Production is scheduled to start in the latter part of 2015. The remake has been in the making since 2008, when one director announced his interest to do a different kind of reboot. Since then, the project has had several directors and actors attached to it, including Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Gosling, James McAvoy and Luke Evans.

The 1994 original film is also known as a tribute to the actor Brandon Lee, who was killed during an unfortunate incident while filming.

Christian Post Report – Kojima Productions has just revealed “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” fall release date, announced the game’s Collector’s Edition pre-order availability, and revealed a new wristwatch.

Hideo Kojima, “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” producer has revealed the official Sept.15 release date for the action adventure stealth game, and announced its Collector’s Edition and premium package has been made ready for pre-order.

In a tweet he posted on his social media account, Kojima put particular emphasis on Snake, as well as clues pointing towards the real time healing game mechanic that has been absent from the game since “Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater” in 2004.

The tweet shows an image of protagonist Snake riding the Helicopter with a dark green IV drip attached to his prosthetic arm, leading to speculations this may not be an ordinary intravenous blood transfusion, but may be a special kind of lubricating fuel to power up his prosthesis with extraordinary strength.

For fans who pre-order the Collector’s Edition that comes complete with Snake’s bionic arm, they will also be receiving color schemes, gold weapons, three cardboard boxes, Four Snake costume changes, a set of four weapons with shields, and other collector’s memorabilia.

While Amazon’s Collector’s Edition stock has sold out after it was listed as on sale at $99 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, fans of the game may still pre-order their set from Game U.K., at £99.99, and from EBGames Australia for AU$249.99.

According to Kojima, who has admitted to being exhausted on Twitter, “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” is to be his last game in the series. There has been news of organizational restructuring involving Konami and the games developer, following rumors of Kojima having abandoned the game mid-development. However, the games producer has released a statement on Konami’s website reassuring fans he is still 100 percent involved in creating the “greatest game I’ve directed to date.”

To show their commitment to their upcoming title, Konami has also revealed a teaser for the game’s own “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” wristwatch. The special silver toned timepiece makes its debut on Snake’s wrist in close shots of gameplay clips, and is shown in actual photos on the trailer. It is expected to retail for $360 when it is launched, reportedly together with the game’s release date.

Christian Post Report – New details have emerged on the upcoming “Witcher” title, with new information for fans awaiting the third installment of the action role playing game.

CD Projeckt Red has released new information via a German gaming magazine on their upcoming “Witcher 3” video game, set for launch in May 19 this year for Windows, PS4 and Xbox One.

Fans of the series eagerly awaiting the third installment received news from German publication, Gamestar.de that the new video game will feature four difficulty levels, have different sizes for cities, and more sequences involving the Ciri character.

Among some of the surprise details included Geralt’s beard, which will be growing over time as players progress into the game.

“The beard grows as time passes and when Geralt moves between locations.” Michal Platkow-Gilewski, the Polish developer’s communications head told Eurogamer. “The beard has several ‘states’ and these states determine its length – the longest is really long but it’s not Gandalf-long.”

This kind of realism depicting the passage of time has fans eagerly anticipating actual gameplay to experience the effect for themselves. However, they will still be able to set Geralt’s usual unchanged look without the growing beard, should they choose to set this option with the DLC.

This is a rare occurrence in video game history, where a character actually exhibits hair growth to portray the passage of time within the game environment.

Other details include the addition of 25 smaller towns and two big and heavily populated cities – Novigrad and Oxenfurt, where the game characters will see plenty of action.

The character Ciri will have around five to 10 linear-action type of adventures, with no inventory or skill tree, but with more heavy action adventures compared to Geralt’s own quests.

Other smaller details will be added, such as Roach eating apples from a basket, powerful mutagens inflicting as much as 40 percent damage, RDR-like horse races with options to buy upgraded equine equipment, a shorter game loading time for PC, and a fully customizable heads-up display.

French officials said on Thursday that the Germanwings Flight 95Christian Post Report – 25 plane crash that killed all 150 people on board was deliberately carried out, with co-pilot Andreas Lubitz locking himself in the cockpit with the intention to “destroy the plane.”

“The most plausible interpretation is that the co-pilot, through a voluntary act, had refused to open the cabin door to let the captain in. He pushed the button to trigger the aircraft to lose altitude. He operated this button for a reason we don’t know yet, but it appears that the reason was to destroy this plane,” Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin said.

BBC News reported that French investigators came to the conclusion after extracting the information from the “black box” voice recorder, which was found at the crash site at the French Alps.

Robin noted that the captain, identified at this point only as Patrick S., was trying to re-enter the cockpit while Lubitz was stirring the plane down, but was unable to do so.

Passengers can be heard screaming just before the crash, Robin added.

“At that moment, the co-pilot is controlling the plane by himself. While he is alone, the co-pilot presses the buttons of the flight monitoring system to put into action the descent of the aeroplane,” Robin continued.

“This action on the altitude controls can only be deliberate.”

When asked by reporters about how he would describe the incident, the prosecutor said: “When you are responsible for 150 people, I don’t call it a suicide.”

The Telegraph noted that Lubitz was a Christian Post Report – 28-year-old German citizen, and is not known to have any links to terrorism or extremism.

Patrick S, a father of two children, had over 10 years experience flying for Lufthansa and Germanwings, and had completed more than 6,000 flight hours on the Airbus 3Christian Post Report – 20.

A retired Lufthansa pilot identified only as Dieter described the captain as one of the best pilots he has worked with.

“He was someone very reliable, he was one of the best pilots we had,” he said. “I am 100 percent sure they did the best they could. That’s what I think because I knew him very well, he was one of the best, he had a lot of experience, he had more than 6,000 flight hours behind him.”

What is known about Lubitz is that he had 630 flight hours and joined Germanwings in September Christian Post Report – 2013 straight from the Lufthansa Flight Training School in Bremen.

Robin noted that the co-pilot was “fully qualified to pilot the aircraft on his own.”

Luftsportclub Westerwald, a flying club in Germany where Lubitz was a member, released a tribute statement for the co-pilot before news of his actions on the plane was made public.

The statement read: “Andreas died as first officer on the tragic flight. Andreas became a member of the association as a teenager, he wanted to realize his dream of flying. He began as a gliding student and made it to become a pilots on an Airbus 3Christian Post Report – 20.”

It continued: “He was able to fulfill his dream, the dream he has now so dearly paid for with his life. The members of the LSC Westerwald mourn Andreas and the other 149 victims of the disaster on March Christian Post Report – 24, Christian Post Report – 2015.”

Rescue workers have meanwhile been battling harsh condition on the remote French Alps and are trying to collect the bodies of the victims, which are said to have been “strewn for hundreds of meters.”

CNN added that the bodies won’t be released to the families until DNA identification work has been completed.
