Christian Post Report – Having met twice already this season, both teams have won one each – with the home team getting the victory on both occasions.

Miami strolled to a 101-91 win in their first meeting in Florida, with LeBron James returning to his former team for the first time after leaving for the Cavs. In his return, King James scored a team high 30 points, shooting 9-of-16 from the field. He also had eight assists to help the team but had four turnovers and only shot 10-of-18 from the free throw line.

On the other side, Dwyane Wade led the Heat with a game high 31 points. He also pulled down five rebounds and dished out five assists in the victory. Luol Deng also scored 25, having a very efficient night after converting 69 percent of his attempts.

In their second meeting in Ohio, the Cavs turned things around and won 113-93.

Timofey Mozgov proved to be too much for the Heat defense as he drained 20 points while shooting 82 percent from the field. James came very close to notching a triple double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on the night.

Wade was not around to play in that matchup but Deng shared 17 points in the losing effort. Mario Chalmers added 18, while Hassan Whiteside impressed with 17 points and 14 rebounds in only under 29 minutes of play.

Injuries may hamper this match-up from being star-studded as James and Kevin Love are slated as day-to-day following knocks in their win over the Orlando Magic.

For the Heat, Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts have already been ruled out for the season.

Currently second in the Metropolitan Division, the Islanders have only won two of their last eight matches. Their most recent loss was a 3-1 defeat to the Montreal Canadiens.

For the Blackhawks, they have won four of their last five and are on a two-game win streak.

Chicago are third in the Central Division and are only five points behind leaders St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators.

If the playoffs started today, they would be part of it and face the Predators.

This will be the final meeting between the two teams in the regular season. New York won the first 3-2 and will try to get a season sweep over Chicago.

In the match played at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Chicago drew first blood in the second period behind a Daniel Carcillo wrister.

However, it only took six seconds before Cal Clutterbuck erased the lead with a goal of his own.

Patrick Kane’s potent backhand gave the Blackhawks the one-goal lead in the 44th minute but Kyle Okposo found a way to beat goalie Scott Darling to bring things back to level terms.

Only less than a minute after the tying goal, Lubomir Visnovsky powered home the winner for the Islanders to get two points in the contest.

The Islanders will have game-day decisions for Frans Nielsen and Nick Leddy, who have been out since the second week of March due to lower body and upper body injuries, respectively.

Martin Mayhew Draft Follies Have Cost the Detroit Lions Talent

Detroit Lions NFL/Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions now have a big need at DT, what will they do in free agency to fix that problem

Christian Post Report – It has not been a pretty off season for the Detroit Lions. They lost their best defensive player to a record breaking contract offered by the Miami Dolphins. They lost significant pieces of their defense in other free agent signings and their mismanagement of the salary cap he’s left them without a lot of cap space to fix the glaring needs in their roster. They also traded away the middle part of their 2015 draft to replace Ndamukong Suh.

To be frank the Detroit Lions are in this position because of their inability to draft well. General Manager Martin Mayhew took over the team during the 2008 season once the front office had finally grown tired of Matt Millen’s inability to build a winner in the Motor City.

When Nick Fairley signed with the St. Louis Rams that wiped out what was left of his 2011 draft class. When Suh signed with Miami that wiped out the last of his 2010 draft class. IN fact in his first three drafts only QB Matthew Stafford, TE Brandon Pettigrew, and LB DeAndre Levy. That is 20 picks over three drafts that yielded just three starters. That is not how a team rebuilds itself. Those picks should have been the nucleus of a new Lions roster moving forward.

Mayhew compounded those mistakes by twice draft tight ends in the first round. First in 2009 he traded WR Roy Williams to Dallas for a substantial return. He then used the first round pick acquired in that trade on Pettigrew who has become less and less important to the offense. Then in last year’s draft with the very real possibility of losing both his starting DT’s this offseason eh spent the 10th overall pick on TE Eric Ebron, while signing Pettigrew to a 4-year $16 million dollar contract extension. Most NFL team do not have one TE drafted in the first round, but the Lions have two. That underscores how poorly the Lions have used their draft picks over the years, and while they have failed to build a consistent winner.

Houston Rockets vs Orlando Magic Live Stream: Watch Online NBA 2015 Basketball

Harden Andrew Richardson, USA TODAY Sport

James Harden of the Houston Rockets

Christian Post Report – The Orlando Magic try to end a four-game losing streak as they travel to the Toyota Center to face the Houston Rockets in the NBA. The match is on March 17, 2015 and tip-off is at 8 p.m. ET.

Currently at the bottom of the Southeast Division, the Magic have a 21-47 record and are desperately trying to get a win.

Their last match ended in a 123-108 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the defeat, three players scored at least 20 points, with Victor Oladipo scoring 25, Tobias Harris with 24 and Nikola Vucevic with 22.

Despite playing a decent game, where they were 48 percent from the field and 47 percent from beyond the arc, their defense showed their weakness as they could not stop Kyrie Irving from scoring 33 points while shooting 12-of-15 from the field.

The Magic are also missing three guards who are important in their rotation as Evan Fournier is still listed as day-to-day following a hip injury he suffered late in February. Devyn Marble recently had an eye surgery and is out indefinitely, while Willie Green is recovering from a knock on his back.

Meanwhile, the Rockets ended their two-game losing streak with a 100-98 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

James Harden added to his MVP-type year with a 34-point, seven-rebound and seven-assist output. While Trevor Ariza added 19 points and nine rebounds in the victory.

The Rockets hold a 44-22 record, good enough for fourth in the West – with the win extending their lead over the San Antonio Spurs by 2.5 games.

Kostas Papanikolaou has been sidelined since late February due to an ankle injury and is still listed as day-to-day. Dwight Howard is making his recovery from a knee injury and is slated to return later this month.

Despite the disparities in their records, their first meeting this season ended in a 120-113 win for the Magic. In that match, Oladipo exploded for 32 points while shooting 63 percent from the field.

Harden and Howard combined for 49 points for the Rockets but with only eight players in the rotation at the time, they simply ran out of gas.

Luis Suarez celebrates his goal.

Christian Post Report – Barcelona try to complete their progress in the UEFA Champions League as they host Manchester City at Camp Nou. The match starts 3:45 p.m. ET.

In the first leg of the competition, Barcelona dominated City as they went on to win 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Luis Suarez opened up the scoring in the 16th minute of the match, then went on to double his tally in the 30th following an assist by Jordi Alba.

Sergio Aguero had a consolation goal for the hosts in the 69th minute but they know that they have to dig deep as they face an aggregate deficit and are heading into one of the toughest stadiums in Camp Nou.

Barcelona dominated the possession in the contest, controlling 60 percent of the time while firing 12 totals shots. City had more corners with eight against Barcelona’s four but were unable to capitalize.

Three Barcelona players were given yellow cards in the heated match, with Dani Alves, Ivan Rakitic and Adriano Correia all being cautioned.

City also had multiple bookings as Fernando was carded, while Gael Clichy received to yellows to be sent off in the 74th minute. As a result, the Frenchman will miss the return leg in Spain.

There are only two reported injuries before the match, both for the Catalans, as Sergio Busquets will sit out due to an ankle injury, while Thomas Vermaelen is still bothered by his hamstring.

In terms of form, City are currently looking for a positive turnaround. They have only won one in their last three matches across all competitions, with their latest a 1-0 loss to Burnley. In the English Premier League they are second to Chelsea, six points behind with the London club still having a game in hand.

For Barcelona, they have been streaking. Three straight wins in the La Liga have boosted them to the top of the table, with a slim one points lead over Real Madrid.

Sims 4 ‘Back To Work’ DLC for PC and Mac Gets Earlier Release Date

The Sims 4 "Get to Work" DLC YOUTUBESCREENSHOT/ The Sims

The Sims 4 “Get to Work” DLC

Christian Post Report – The new “Back to Work” DLC for “Sims 4” will be released a month sooner than expected for PC and Mac.

Electronic Arts has announced it will be making available new downloadable content for “Sims 4” with its “Get To Work” expansion pack on March 31, instead of the earlier scheduled April release date.

The update’s early release surprised fans of the game who have become accustomed to DLC delays. It is the first major expansion pack to be released since the game was launched last September.

The expansion pack allows players to choose from three brand new career paths, which feature enterable lots and the players’ actions that impact their Sim’s job performance. The three career routes include detective, scientist and doctor, which appear to share similar elements with “The Sims 3: Ambitions.”

The science career has proven to be the most interesting one in the expansion pack, allowing Sim scientists to experiment with combined chemicals that they can use on themselves or on other Sims, resulting in either physical or emotional catastrophes.

The doctor route will see the Sim learning to diagnose and treat patients, and eventually deliver Sim babies, while the detective career path has Sims facing danger to solve crimes. The expansion pack will usher in the advent of “bad Sims” who will be committing murder, a first for the game franchise.

The new DLC will allow Sims 4 players to open and operate their own retail establishments, similar to “The Sims 2: Open for Business,” with options for boutiques, bake shops, photography studios, and clothing stores. Players will also see more options to spy on their Sims while they are at work.

The “Back To Work” expansion pack will retail for $40 when it is released at the end of the month.

‘Constantine’ News: Renewed or Cancelled?

Constantine Facebook/ Constantine

John Constantine runs after Henry and ends up at a Halloween carnival in episode 6 of ‘Constantine’

Christian Post Report – NBC’s TV adaptation of the story of “Constantine” from the DC Comics “Hellblazer” is in danger of being cancelled, according to numerous reports. The show ended its first season on February 13, 2015 after 13 episodes. The network has yet to announce if there will be a season two, but it also says that the future of the series is still under discussion.

According to Screen Rant, “Constantine” failed to “receive a full 22-episode season order” from the network in late 2014. The show also fared poorly in the ratings and this is despite the change in its time slot during the latter part of season one.

In another report in Seriable, one of the show’s producers Daniel Cerone confirmed that NBC has asked him to “pitch Season 2 in May” in order for them to make a decision about the show’s fate. Cerone is hopeful that there will be a Season 2. The report mentions some possible opportunities for renewal: NBC recently cancelled another show “Allegiance” after just five episodes which may open the possibility of renewal for “Constantine” because of its “bigger genre and broader appeal.”

Should cancellation happen, Cerone plans to take Season 2 to another network or platform. He has taken to Twitter to bring attention to other NBC shows who are performing lower in ratings compared to “Constantine.”

The show’s cast such as Matt Ryan, who plays the supernatural detective Constantine, and Harold Perrineau, who plays Manny the angel who watches over Constantine, are also hopeful that the show will continue. They mentioned that they have not received any news of a cancellation yet.

“Constantine” is based on the DC Comics “Hellblazer” published from 1993 to 2013. John Constantine is a conman who is also an “occult detective who did morally questionable things, arguably for the greater good.” The development of the character in this series is said to be quite different from the one that was developed in the film adaptation. Critics say that the series stayed closer to the comics.

The series was created by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer for NBC.

‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 5: Episode 17 Recap, Lisa Vanderpump Gets Slapped

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Bravotv/ The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Lisa Vanderpump gets slapped on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Christian Post Report – Last week on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” the ladies go on a boat cruise in Amsterdam, and one of them gets slapped.

In Amsterdam, Yolanda Foster decides to stay in bed to take a day off from all the drama. Kyle Richards arrives and cries about Kim. Yolanda comforts her and says that they all have their own crosses to bear.

Meanwhile, Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump decide to spend the day together and go shopping. Eileen opts to go on a museum tour with Kyle.

At a coffee shop, Eileen talks about all the drama that went down so far, and Kyle says that it’s better to ignore it and have some fun. Eileen says she’s offended that Kim apologized to Lisa R., but hasn’t said a word to her or Kyle. Kyle admits that she’s hurt too, but when it comes to Kim, there’s nothing much they can do.

Before dinner, Eileen has a glass of wine with Lisa R., and she says that she can’t understand how Lisa can pretend that everything is fine. Lisa echoes what Kyle said—when it comes to Kim, it’s best to pretend. Eileen gets it, but doesn’t condone it.

The ladies have dinner at a yacht, and the tension and animosity is palpable among the ladies. In an attempt to lighten the mood, Brandi suggests that everybody should say something nice about the others.

Brandi’s suggestion seems to work at first, as Kim and Kyle appear to be getting along. Brandi compliments everyone’s appearance, but when it’s her turn to receive compliments, Brandi hides in the bathroom and cries.

Kim manages to get Brandi to come out, and Lisa V. tells her that she should stop berating herself. This is when things take a bizarre turn as Brandi insists on reenacting an iconic scene from ‘The Love Boat’.

Brandi tries to kiss Lisa V., who gently rebuffs her. Then, Brandi tells her that she’s going to slap her—and she actually does.

Horrified, Lisa says, “No, that’s wrong. Stop it right now.”

“Do it to me,” Brandi urges.

“I don’t like that,” says Lisa, saying that doing so would be doing what Brandi did to Eileen when she threw a glass of wine at her face.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Lisa asks. “It just always goes too far.”

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Season 7: Episode 17 Recap ‘Fix It Therapy’

Real Housewives of Atlanta Bravotv/ The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Nene Leakes asks Dr. Jeff to lead a group therapy session on The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Christian Post Report – On last Sunday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Todd and Kandi do their “therapy homework” together, Phaedra and Kandi have a heart to heart talk, and Nene walks out of the group therapy session that she organized.

As advised by their counselor, Todd and Kandi are writing down the pros and cons in their marriage. Todd mulls things over for a bit before writing down that Kandi is “family oriented” in the pros column. Kandi says that all she wants is to get the spontaneity back in their marriage.

Later, Kandi visits Phaedra at her office. Kandi says she’s hurt and she has no idea why Phaedra turned to Nene instead of her. Phaedra says that Nene noticed that things were falling apart in her life, while Kandi seemed to be preoccupied with other things. Kandi said that the cancellation of her musical, “A Mother’s Love,” was the reason why she had been distant.

Though Phaedra thinks that that was a poor excuse, both of them agreed to let it go and move on.

“What people say, it doesn’t matter,” said Phaedra. As long as we have an understanding.”

Finally, it was time for the group therapy session with Dr. Jeff. Nene, Kenya, Claudia, Kandi, Cynthia, and Porsha show up, but Phaedra declined, saying that she didn’t want to be around “dark hearts.”

The ladies are seated in a circle, and Nene initiates the conversation.

“I thought it was important for us to come together,” she said. “I think it would be good if we can get on the same page.”

While the intervention was Nene’s idea, everyone soon agrees that most of the drama is caused by Nene herself. Before the session, she promised to keep an open mind, but Nene manages to find a reason to defend all her actions.

When Kenya asked Nene why they couldn’t get along—they’ve been having problems since Kenya moved to Atlanta—Nene tells her that they will never be friends.

Claudia says that Nene wasn’t very welcoming to her either and calls her encounter with Nene a “very bipolar experience.” Nene wasn’t happy with this and told Claudia to get her act together.

Cynthia said that she was offended when Nene insulted her husband. Cynthia adds that once the rift started, Nene “went above and beyond to destroy the friendship.”

“You’re not a victim!” Nene snaps at Cynthia. “You are a mean girl. You found your voice yet?”

Kandi says that Nene has always made it known that she was one of the first Housewives and finds the need to constantly “mark her territory”. Nene finally had enough and storms out of the session. Dr. Jeff follows her, but she refuses to come back.

“This must be Attack Nene Day,” she tells him. “Those people are very wrong.”

‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ airs on Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.

Keyshia Cole Exclusive: Singer Opens Up About Faith and Healing After Public Struggles

Keyshia Cole (Photo: The The Nottingham Group)

Keyshia Cole appears in Keyshia Cole: All In which airs on BET Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Christian Post Report – Keyshia Cole is making a conscious decision to step away from the negative fodder being dished out on social media and keeping her priorities in order.

Cole, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter, has always been vocal about her struggles in life and even filmed many of them for reality television cameras. While fans have witnessed her reconcile issues with her mother’s drug addiction and issues with siblings, Cole recently dealt with marital issues in a very public way off of television screens.

The singer has insinuated that her estranged husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson was not being faithful in their marriage and the two engaged in a war of words in front of countless fans on social media. Cole realized it was a mistake to air the grievances about her marriage on social media and even took to Instagram to apologize to the public and make nice with her estranged husband for the sake of their son.

“At the end of the day @Daniel_GibsonJr is what matters! Was I wrong for bringing [it] to social media? #YES! And we both Apologize for that,” Cole wrote on Instagram March 16. “So we went out last night to discuss priorities and what#AsolutlyComesFirst #NoArguing #NoFighting#Daniel #Keyshia #DanielJr”.

Now that the dust has settled, Cole recently spoke to The Christian Post about beginning her journey of healing while keeping the focus on God, her career and son.

“At this moment I don’t know what’s going on with this and what’s the point of it not being able to be worked out. The thing is I’m trying to build myself and my career and I can’t do that if I’m always stressed out about a relationship that isn’t working,” Cole told The Christian Post. “I can’t lose myself trying to figure out a situation that isn’t able to be worked out. I think spiritually, I have to realize that and just do what’s best for my child.”

The singer is no stranger to overcoming adversity as her mother Frankie’s battle with drug addiction caused her to give Cole up for adoption. Instead of letting the circumstances of life get her down, Cole worked hard to make her dreams of becoming an entertainer come to pass and believes that her faith had something to do with that and the success in all of her varied ventures.

“Honestly if you stay focused and driven on what your motivations, are I feel like you can succeed in anything you want to do. I honestly believe that because whatever I have put my mind to I’ve been able to accomplish no matter what cards I was dealt,” Cole told CP. “I’m a strong believer that if you keep your faith right, you’ll make sure you get what you want out of life because it’s possible. I mean, anything is possible especially with God by your side.”

As a mother, the singer understands the importance of teaching her 5-year-old son Daniel Gibson, Jr. (DJ) the importance of prayer. Her own foundation of faith stems from being raised in the church where she learned about the power of prayer at a young age.

“My mother took us to church every Sunday, Wednesday Bible Study, student Bible Sunday. It was instilled in me at a very young age,” she recalled to CP. “But I definitely felt connected very young and prayed all the time as a child. So it’s the same thing that I try to teach DJ. We’re working on that, so he’s learning how to pray himself.”

Although Cole will be the first to admit that she does not have things all figured out, she would not necessarily warn her teenage self to do anything differently either.

“Everything is a lesson. Everything that you go through builds who you are and builds your character of the person that you are,” Cole said. “I wouldn’t tell myself not to do this or do that. You’ve got to try to stay focused, take the best view and try to be more positive because it could really take you under and damage you if you allow it to.”

Now that she is focusing on her priorities once again, Cole is going full steam ahead with her career. She is currently in the process of putting an independent album together where she will team up once again with Ron Fair, the songwriter and producer who executive produced her first three albums.

“We’re going to do an independent album that we’re meeting with a bunch of people about right now, we’ve been working on new music,” Cole revealed to CP. “It really never stop when it comes to music. It’s an ongoing process.”

The singer also has plans to reach back out to music mogul Kanye West, who she worked with early on in her career and is even thinking about doing an independent shoe line after learning from collaborating with footwear company Steve Madden. Now that her eight-episode BET reality television show “Keyshia Cole: All In” is currently airing on Tuesday nights, the singer is placing much of her focus on her business.

Despite cameras recording her family issues, marriage and music career for two previous reality television shows, Cole told CP she had more to share on the show because “I just felt like there were a lot of issues that needed to be addressed.”

Still, Cole is going to focus less on life’s problems and give more energy to what matters most.

“You’ve got to stay focused, keep your head above the water and I think that’s mainly where my priority is now,” she said. “Sometimes you’ll be caught up in the midst of it and I decided myself to pick a healing direction and work in that direction. That’s where I’m going to get my results from as a woman, as a mother.”
