The cast of ABC’s ‘Pretty Little Liars” Season 5

Christian Post Report – Fans of the hit teen drama TV series “Pretty Little Liars” who are looking forward towards the budding relationship between Aria and Andrew should expect more of it unraveling as the show progresses to its fifth season.

A report from Enstarz.com cited Brandon Jones, who plays Aria’s (Lucy Hale) “study budd” speaking with TV Line to offer insights about his character’s relationship with the latter.

“I can say that Andrew and Aria’s relationship does slowly grow in the wake of her breakup with Ezra. … You never know, if Aria and Andrew’s relationship blossoms, maybe it will become one of those couples that people love to tweet about,” Jones said.

Andy Swift from TV Line even went to suggest a “shipper name” for the two: Andria.

“I think that’s the best one I’ve seen so far. [Laughs] It works for me,” the actor added.

The talk however pointed out the probability of his Andrew to be “A” to which the actor said: “He does seem to show up at the right places at the right time, doesn’t he? … I’ve actually gotten a lot of tweets about Andrew’s name starting with ‘A,’ but you know what? Aria’s does, too! At one point or another, everyone has been suspected of being ‘A’ on the show. For now, what you see is what you get with Andrew.”

Meanwhile, a synopsis for next week’s episode titled “The Melody Lingers On” was posted on The Futon Critic where it reads:

“Alison’s trial is about to begin and the once-confident Queen Bee is not so confident about her fate, as testimony reveals not only her lies but the lies of those close to her. Meanwhile, Spencer, Aria, Emily and Caleb search for information to clear the imprisoned Hanna following a string of clues that might have been left by Mona or possibly planted by ‘A.'”

“Pretty Little Liars” Season 5 Episode 23 airs next Tuesday, March 10 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.

The CW’s “The 100”

Christian Post Report – Things are getting more intense and exciting as the second season of the hit post-apocalyptic TV drama series “The 100” is now closing on its finale with the first part episode titled “Blood Must Have Blood.”

Guest cast member Alycia Debnam-Carey revealed some interesting details about the relationship which is expected to come more into play between Lexa and Clarke (Eliza Taylor).

“I think Clarke brings a very new perspective which is refreshing and attractive. So it’s a lovely friendship, as well, that we see growing too. It’s an interesting time for Lexa because she can start opening up a little bit, which is obviously very hard for her,” she went on to say.

Eric Goldman of IGN went on to probe with the cast member to ask what fans should expect in the 2-part finale episode to which the actress teases a lot of “twists and turns.”

Christian Post Report – Actor Jason Lee, the voice of ‘Syndrome’, poses with characters of the film The Incredibles at its premiere in Hollywood

“The Incredibles 2” remains the development stage, and with no word about the release date from Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios, fans have had to content themselves with a host of spoilers and plot details of the much anticipated animated superhero film that have made their around the Internet.

Brad Bird, who is returning to write and direct the sequel, has made no announcement of a release date, and even the cast of the second film still remains a mystery.

“Right now, we’re working on The Incredibles, which is a lot of fun in 3D. I’m not sure what the release strategy for it will be,” Josh Holland, the film’s 3D director, told Crossmap. “It’s been an interesting challenge to work on technology because — while the film was released 10 years ago — the technology is even older as it took four years to make.”

From a Wikia synopsis of the sequel, it has been five years since the events of the first film. Bob and Helen Parr are called on to fight crime occasionally, and have been having a difficult time raising rebellious 6-year-old Jack-Jack. Jack-Jack is considered an outcast at school, being unable to control his own superpowers.

Overprotected by his parents for fear of another kidnapping, Jack-Jack makes the discovery he can gain control of his powers only when he is feeling mad and acting villainous. This characteristic attracts the notice of a real villain in the shadows, who takes Jack-Jack on as an apprentice, assigning him with his first task: to kill his superhero family.

‘Everything Hillsong Does Is About One Name Only, and That’s Jesus,’ Says ‘Hillsong – Let Hope Rise’ Film Producer

Hillsong (Photo: Courtesy/GraceHillMedia)

The film “Hillsong – Let Hope Rise” will premiere nationwide on May 29, 2015

Christian Post Report – The first-ever film based on the Australian megachurch Hillsong is set to premiere in May, offering audiences everywhere the chance to partake in their world-famous worship services.

“Hillsong – Let Hope Rise” chronicles Hillsong UNITED’s journey from humble beginnings into what is considered one of the most famous Christian worship bands in the world today. Furthermore, as one of the film’s producers Jon Bock pointed out, “Let Hope Rise” will continue leading people to Jesus upon its release date on May 29.

“Everything Hillsong does is about one name only, and that’s Jesus,” Bock told The Christian Post. “Everything they do, everything they’re about, is leading people toward Jesus. And that’s what the goal of the film is as well.”

World-renowned for their music ministry, it is estimated that over 50 million people around the world sing Hillsong songs on any given Sunday. In 2013, Hillsong UNITED’s third studio album Zion peaked at No. 1 on Christian album charts in Australia, the U.S. and the United Kingdom. Also, last year, the band scored its first American Music Awards nomination in the Contemporary Inspirational Artist category. With “Let Hope Rise,” fans of Hillsong UNITED can learn more about their favorite band, which is comprised of 11 members who are all volunteers and employees of Hillsong Church.

“The film follows the band through the process of coming off of the biggest album they have had yet, Zion, and the process of creating the next album of music and telling the history of church,” Bock added. “It culminates in a concert that we put on … our goal is to have a theatrical worship experience for people where they not only discover the the story of this church but participate in a worship experience with them.”

In fact, “Hillsong — Let Hope Rise” takes viewers directly into one of the band’s sold-out shows.

“We shot and produced the entire movie to make it feel like you’re in the seventh row of one of their concerts,” Bock explained. “We’re trying to do something that’s never been done before. Movies are generally a passive experience, you go in, sit down eat popcorn … you’re entertained. The goal of this film is for it to be participatory, where not only are you being entertained, but you’re participating in the concert experience.”

Michael John Warren, who helmed Jay-Z’s “Fade to Black,” served as director of “Hillsong – Let Hope Rise,” while Bock and Matthew Weaver of MediaWeaver Entertainment co-produced. The film is expected to release in the U.S. on May 29 with the worldwide release announcement coming soon.

“Everybody who goes to church knows those songs,” Bock noted. “What they don’t know is the story of the people behind the songs who wrote the soundtrack to our faith.”

‘Better Call Saul’ Casting Rumors, Update: ‘Breaking Bad’ Actor Aaron Paul to Join Spin-Off?

Aaron Paul (Photo: Reuters/Fred Prouser)

Actor Aaron Paul, star of AMC’s drama television series ‘Breaking Bad’, arrives for the premiere screening for the show’s fourth season in Hollywood, California June 28, 2011.

Christian Post Report – Without a doubt, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould’s spin-off to their hugely-popular “Breaking Bad” series, “Better Call Saul” is certainly a show that can stand on its own without getting overshadowed with the former’s success.

However, it can’t be helped that “Breaking Bad” fans yearn for someone from the show to appear in the Bob Odenkirk-led prequel.

Now, a recent casting report from Variety pointed out that Aaron Paul’s famous Jesse Pinkman might get a spotlight or at least appear in “Better Call Saul.”

Paul certainly “hopes that he can eventually guest star on ‘Saul.'”

“We always have fun having that discussion — Vince [Gilligan], myself, Peter [Gould], the writers,” Paul said. “We just have no idea how that would happen. But hopefully one day.”

The 35-year-old “Need for Speed” star meanwhile admits that he is a big fan of “BCS.”

“I love it,” he said. “It’s a little weird because it kind of looks like ‘Breaking Bad.’ It has somewhat of a little bit different tone, but I know everyone involved, and I’m not involved in it at all and it’s a little weird, a little sad, but it’s great.”

Executive producer of “Breaking Bad” Michelle MacLaren meanwhile pointed out the great possibility of seeing Paul and co-lead star Bryan Cranston (who played Walter White in the original series) playing a cameo role in the latest installment.

“I think it’s open to whoever Vince and Peter decide to bring in. I would imagine that everyone who would ask would say yes,” the showrunner said.

“Better Call Saul” airs Monday at 10 p.m. on AMC.

Should Women Be Leaders in the Church? — The Question That ‘Preachers of Detroit’ Refuses to Sweep Under the Rug (Watch a Sneak Peek)

“Preachers of Detroit,” the Midwest spinoff of the controversial and popular “Preachers of L.A.” reality show, has put front and center in its early episodes the debate about what roles women are permitted to hold in the church.

Christian Post Report – 1

  • “Preachers of Detroit”

Christians remain divided over what perimeters they believe the Bible lays out for women called to ministry.

Some believers point to passages like Christian Post Report – 1 Timothy 3:2, which states that a bishop, or overseer, is to be “faithful to his wife …” — indicating that a Christian holding that position must be male.

However, others argue that there’s biblical support that leadership roles in the church are not restricted by gender, as evidenced by early church figures such as Junia, an apostle, and Phoebe, a deacon — based on the particular translation of the texts where these women are mentioned.

In “Preachers of Detroit,” that elephant — complicated to some, and an open-and-shut case for others — refuses to leave the room. Or, at least, Bishop Corletta Vaughn has been making it her personal mission to make sure every cast member acknowledges the elephant.

Specifically, Vaughn, senior pastor of The Holy Ghost Cathedral and chief apostle to Go Tell It Evangelistic Ministry Worldwide, has raised the issue each and every episode of “Preachers of Detroit” with fellow minister and accomplished gospel singer Dorinda Clark-Cole, and anyone else who will listen.

Clark-Cole, who uses the title of “evangelist” because her church affiliation does not ordain women as pastors, serves at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop J. Drew Sheard.

As viewers of the Oxygen series well know, Clark-Cole and Vaughn, the only two females among the seven-member cast of ministers, have been getting into it about the “place” of women in church every single episode — either because the bishop truly refuses to let the matter rest, or producers think it makes for great TV.

The preview of episode four of “Preachers of Detroit” indicates that that the issue will be hammered out some more, during a double-dinner date with Vaughn and Clark-Cole and their respective husbands.

Take a look at the sneak peek below:

“A lot of men are against my position. They hate me because I’m a woman. When I was consecrated, preachers stood up in their pulpits and they began to quote the scripture that a woman cannot be a bishop. I know that sexism is a systemic problem in our church and in our world. But I believe now that I can be a voice,” Vaughn shared in an aside with viewers in the premiere episode.

In the second episode, the women exchanged words about their particular positions on women serving the church:

Clarke-Cole: “God has allowed women to have a place in the church, and I honor that. I honor your position. I think that me as the role I play as an evangelist, as a preacher, I think that I remember that my husband is always over me.”

Vaughn: “But you never hear the scripture that we mutually submit to one another.”

Clarke-Cole: “That’s your opinion. … Mine would be that my husband will always be head of the home. … We would never be where we are even as strong women in ministry if it were not for the men that have laid the foundation.”

Since the issue has yet to be resolved, it might in fact require a full season for the women to come to terms. Will Evangelist Clark-Cole experience a change of heart? Or Bishop Vaughn give up ground on her position? — Probably not, as Christians have been at odds over the issue of women’s roles, both in the home and in church, for decades.

“Preachers of Detroit” airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on Oxygen. Other cast members featured in the reality show are: Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, Pastor Tim Alden, Pastor David Bullock, Bishop Clarence Langston, and Pastor Don William Shelby Jr.

“Preachers of Detroit” is produced by L. Plummer Media in association with Relevé Entertainment with Lemuel Plummer, Holly Carter and Chris Costine serving as Executive Producers.

iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus Specs Rumors, News: Next-Gen Devices to Arrive a Much Higher RAM and a Pre-Installed SIM

    iPhone 6 (Photo: Reuters/File)

A customer holds an iPhone 6 (R) and iPhone 6 Plus.

Christian Post Report – Fresh from the Apple rumors mill, recent news pointed out that the next-gen iPhone and its Plus variant will arrive with a higher amount of RAM and a pre-installed subscriber identity module.

A report from GSM Arena cited an unnamed person who claims to have some knowledge with “Apple’s future product plans” saying that the iPhone 6s and 6S Plus will likely be launched with a 2GB of RAM.

The Cupertino-based tech giant has been shipping 1GB of RAM since 2012 so this news could mean that the company is already on the way of upgrading their devices. Several websites even went to say that this could also imply that users can now let background apps and tabs in Safari left for longer time without comprising greatly the unit’s battery life.

“What is the benefit of additional RAM? Extra RAM enables your smartphone to handle multiple tasks at once,” Amit Chowdhry wrote for Forbes.com. “This means it can handle many more tabs in a browser and faster responses from apps since more data can be stored in the memory, thus reducing the need for the smartphone to constantly access the slower flash storage. The difference in RAM is especially noticeable when you are playing games on your device.”

Still another rumor indicated that the upcoming reiteration of the 6 and 6 Plus might come with a pre-installed SIM like that of the iPad Air 2.

In the case of the tablet device, the pre-installed SIM feature gives users quick access for data plan from any participating carrier company by just going to the Settings. This also eliminates the need for any contract signing while giving owners the freedom to switch carriers of their choice.

The newest versions of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus could be outed sometime in the middle of the year.
