TOPIC: Walking In The Spirit

READ: Galatians 5:16-18 King James Version (NKJV)

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

THE MESSAGE:

As children of God, we are called to walk in the Spirit. What does it mean to walk in the Spirit? Walking in the Spirit implies allowing the Holy Spirit to determine your destination; it is a continuous walk with Him and total dependence on Him.

You have to allow the Holy Spirit to pattern your life as to please God. It is this walking/living in the Spirit that truly enables you to overcome the domineering power of the flesh.

How then can you walk in the Spirit? It is to know who you are in Christ. This knowledge comes through the Holy Spirit. For the Spirit bears witness with your spirit that you are a child of God.

You have to starve your flesh by thinking and meditating on the things of the kingdom of God. You have to deliberately avoid strife and walk in harmony with others. You have to examine yourself daily and know your weaknesses and depend on the Holy Spirit to overcome.

Finally, you must pray and listen to the Holy Spirit and never forget that He is your reliable and dependable paraclete (your advocate and helper).

PRAYER: Dear God and Father, enable me to walk effectively in the Holy Spirit, for in Him lies my total victory in this world in Jesus Name!

Topic: The Word of God

When Jesus steps into your situation, frustration stops.

Luke 5:5 –And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

When God’s word comes, toiling stops. When His word comes, frustration stops; when His word comes, sickness stops. When His word comes, situations change. God will turn around that situation in your life in the name of Jesus! I announce to you that after this day, all your frustrations will turn to testimonies in Jesus name!

Luke 5: 6 –And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Net-braking, city-shaking miracle will come to you right now! The kind of break-through you will get, you will call on others to help you!

Luke 5:7 –And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Also Read: Signs For Impact by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

The kind of contract coming your way today will cause you to call partners to assist you in executing them! Boat-sinking, city-shaking testimony will be the kind you will get!

From the above scriptures, Peter could not catch fish all night which is the easiest time to catch fish. How come Peter had such harvest of fishes in the day when fishes could see the net and escape? It is because the Word of God had gone forth and it has power to create. When Jesus spoke, there was a creative force that went into action to create fishes for Peter.

The WORD can create, heal, deliver, restore and bless. Everything is by the word of God. When Jesus spoke, there was a creative force because all things were made by Him; without Him there was nothing made that was made.

I speak the Word of God to you now, in case you need a change of organ in your body, God will give you a new one in the name of Jesus! If that organ cannot be repaired, it will be replaced in the name of Jesus! Jesus is still the same yesterday, today and forever.

By the spoken word of God, fishes began to find their way into Peter’s net. By this same word, that crawling and struggling business will gain speed in the name of Jesus! When Jesus steps into your situation, things must turn around. He cannot step into your life and it remains the same. He cannot step into your business / career and it remains the same.

I don’t care how you have been frustrated, frustration is coming to an end today in the name of Jesus! That frustration is ending right now! You will no longer beg before you eat! You will begin to give to others in the name of Jesus! This same year, you will pay people’s house rents due to the blessings of God in your life in the name of Jesus!

When Jesus spoke, power went into creative force and Peter began to see fishes. He beckoned on others to help him. I decree: After now, you will call others to help you take your blessings in the name of Jesus! You will not get contracts you will execute alone – you will get contracts and call other contractors to execute them with you! I announce to you today that for your sake, frustration in your family is over in the name of Jesus!

Heb.1:3a – Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power…

God’s word has the ability to give life; it has the power to make a way where there is no way. I decree your story is changing right now! That frustration is ending right now! Be blessed in Jesus name- Amen!!!

God bless you

TOPIC: Global Poverty Headquarters (III) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 14 May 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Kings 19-21; John 4:1-30

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 8:11-18

MEMORY VERSE: “And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.” – Jeremiah 2:7

The MESSAGE:

Reports state that Africa in 2018 has more Christians than any other continent, but that unless there is a change of circumstances, by 2030 it will account for 90% of the global poverty population.

If our God is the giver of wealth and the Christian world is the wealthiest on earth today, it is our duty to eliminate poverty using the world of God as our guide.

In addition to foundational defilement, other culprits include ignorance, lifestyle issues and incompatible spiritual environment.

Ignorance of the potential money-making chances of God-given talents and opportunities available has demoted many to beggar status. God asked Moses, “What do you have in your hands?” A mere shepherd’s rod turned Moses into the greatest chief executive in the world and a tool for destroying Pharoah. Who knows the rod that God has placed in your hand to destroy your Pharoah of poverty?

In addition, considering the fact that both the Government and oil companies together can employ less than 10% of the population, ignorance of opportunities for self-employment has demoted many to perpetual job seekers.

The most pathetic culprit of poverty is the poverty mindset. This includes blaming others (government, society, employers, everybody and anybody) for poverty you have imposed on yourself. It also includes conspicuous consumption, contempt for small beginnings and a languid approach to life.

Wake up brethren! God Himself set the example for hard work when He planted a garden in Genesis 2:8 and He worked night and day for six days before resting on the seventh.

Must you start work as a manager when you do not even know the rudiments of the business? The only place where you start from the top is the grave.

The money spent on aso-ebi (attires and dresses worn to attend ceremonies) and parties is mind boggling. Nobody cares about your designer wrist watch or shoes. I encourage you to wage war against poverty. Change your mindset and attitude.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
POVERTY IS A KILLER. BE DETERMINED TO LIVE ABOVE IT.

PROPHETIC WORD:
Anti-prosperity forces working against your lifting shall die now.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. O Lord, let my Jacob become Israel today, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Let my bald Samson begin to grow hair now, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Let every evil conspirator gathering against me be disbanded, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. Let the evil vow against my future be rendered null and void, in the name of Jesus.
  5. You power that quenches the fire of God in one’s life, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Every deeply-rooted problem in my life, be uprooted, in the name of Jesus.
  7. I reject every evil domination and bondage in my life, in the name of Jesus.

Text: Job 23:1-17 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me” (Job 23:6).

MESSAGE:

An American business executive sat on the park bench, head in hand, because he was deep in debt without any hope of liquidity at sight. Suddenly, an old man came near and listened to his story of business woes. Then he gave him an unsolicited cheque of USD500,000 signed by John D. Rockefeller, the then world’s richest man. “I can erase my money worries in an instant!” he exclaimed in his monologue. However, rather than cashing the cheque, he kept it in his safe. Confident in the existence of the cheque, he changed his businesss strategies by negotiating better deals and securing extended terms of payment, while closing several big sales.

These new strategies paid off as he offset his debts and began to record profits again within a short period. He realised then that it was his confidence in the supposed existence of the half a million dollars that encouraged his changed strategies and breakthrough.

In an outward expression of his personal holiness, Job justified his bitter complaint over his afflictions and desired desperately an audience with the immutable, invincible and omnipotent God. He desired his quick trial and self-assured acquittal by the impartial God of justice whose presence and omnipotence he feared.

Like Job, irrespective of our seeming unpalatable, prevailing circumstances, we gain the confidence and boldness to approach the throne of grace in prayer after an objective spiritual self-examination and assurance by the Holy Spirit of our right standing with God. How much of God do you know? And how often do you desire to be in His presence in season and out of season? He is our sufficiency in all things. Hence, our faith must be reposed on Him at all times.

Thought For The Day: Believers’ confidence in the Lord should move them to superlative exploits.

Seeds of Destiny 14 May 2019 Devotional – Channels of Divine Healing and Health

Topic: Channels of Divine Healing and Health [Seeds of Destiny 14 May 2019 Devotional]

The prayer of faith is done by standing on the Word of God; and God always honours His Word.

SCRIPTURE: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The prayer of faith is done by standing on the Word of God; and God always honours His Word.

The perfect will of God for His children is for them to live and remain in perfect health (3John 1:2). God designed His children to live in health body, mind and spirit.

However, there are times when ill-health may arise as a result of carelessness, eating of poisoned foods, exposure to cold or excessive intake of sugary substances etc. Our spiritual immunity may also breakdown as a result of sin giving access to sicknesses and diseases in the body. The enemy may confront our faith trying to test how much we believe or trust in God.

Now, there are channels of Divine healing and health that a person can tap into in times of confrontation with ill-health. One of these channels is the PRAYER OF FAITH.

The prayer of faith refers to a prayer prayed on the behalf of a person by men and women of faith in times of need, standing on the Word of God (James 5:15). The prayer of faith works by the power of agreement between the one who is sound in faith and the sick person. It is not weakness to be prayed for in times of need, it is scriptural. The prayer of faith is done by standing on the Word of God, and God always honours His Word (Psalm 119:89).

Today, I decree that whatever the devil has done to tamper with your health is nullified, in the Name of Jesus. Receive your healing in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: The prayer of faith is done by standing on the Word of God and God always honours His Word

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Believe God for the total healing and transformation of your health today.
  2. Study scriptural passages that deal with Divine health and receive your healing by the Word.

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive my healing today by the shed Blood of Jesus. I declare that my healing and health is established by Your Word, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

Surrender All – Open Heavens for Teens 14 May 2019

Topic: Surrender All [Open Heavens for Teens 14 May 2019]

Memorise: “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” – Luke 9:62

Read: Luke 18:20-23

20. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21. And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

22. Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

23. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

Bible In One Year: 2 Kings 9:11, John 5:1-24

MESSAGE:

In life there is no fence; you are either in or out. It is the same with our God. If you give your life to him, you must surrender everything that concerns you to Him. He said you should be either hot or cold, if you decide to be lukewarm, He will reject you completely. This is why on the last day man will claim He is their Lord but His response will be I NEVER KNEW YOU (Matt. 7:22-23).

Many people have invited Jesus into their lives, yet He remains prohibited from some of the rooms in their hearts. You cannot say you are a Christian and lock Christ out of your process of getting good grades such that you cheat to pass exams. Some even tell their parents lies about how much their fees or books cost because they want to have more money to spend. Let Jesus into every aspect of your life, be open to Him in all your ways, let everything you do reflect that you are a child of God. Surrender all.

Prayer Point: Father, everything i have withheld from you, i surrender them all now.

Hymn 7:

1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Alyssa Milano Urges Pro-Choice Women to Stop Having Sex, and Pro-Lifers Cheer

Actress and pro-choice advocate Alyssa Milano ignited a social media firestorm Friday by encouraging women not to have sex “until we get bodily autonomy back” – an action that pro-lifers said would accomplish many of their goals.

Milano’s tweet was posted the same week Georgia’s governor signed a bill banning abortion when a heartbeat is present. Milano had threatened a boycott by dozens of actors if the bill wasn’t vetoed.

“Our reproductive rights are being erased,” Milano wrote on Twitter. “Until women have legal control over our own bodies we just cannot risk pregnancy. JOIN ME by not having sex until we get bodily autonomy back. I’m calling for a #SexStrike. Pass it on.”

But Milano’s Tweet may not have had the consequence she intended. Christians, pro-lifers and social conservatives said her idea sounded a lot like abstinence.

Among the supporters was Joseph Backholm, legal counsel and director of the Embassy at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview.

“This could be accidentally amazing,” Backholm tweeted….

Topic: He Makes and Unmakes Kings! (Open Heaven 14 May 2019)

Memorise: “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”- Revelation 1:6

Read: 1 Samuel 16:1-13 (KJV)

1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.

3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.

4 And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?

5 And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD’S anointed is before him.

7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.

11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

Bible in One Year: Exodus 22-23, Jeremiah 34:17-35:11

Open Heaven 14 May 2019 Tuesday MESSAGE:

Irrespective of what your current state is, if you belong to God through Jesus Christ, you are a king. You might not feel like it, but the truth is, in the spirit realm you are royalty. You need to be conscious of this great privilege that Christ has bestowed on you and walk in it. Continuously doing this by faith will make your spiritual reality manifest in the physical world, such that you will begin to reign in all situations. Christ has restored us to the rightful position God created us to occupy- a position that was lost to sin and the devil in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 1:26). As the original Kingmaker, Jesus alone has the power to make and unmake kings. In today’s Bible reading, we see how He deposed King Saul because of the careless disobedience, and how He made David king in his place. You will notice that these moves took place in the spirit realm before manifesting in the physical world. Although Saul had lost his crown, He still sat on the throne, and even though David was anointed king, he still dwelt in caves and took care of sheep.

As a king unto God, what are you doing to protect your thrown and crown so that you do not lose your status like Adam and King Saul did? The surest way to protect your thrown and crown is through absolute obedience to the word of God (1 Samuel 15:23). You must continuously recognize and honor the One who made you king, because all power and authority belong to Him and He gives it to whoever He pleases (Romans 13:1). This is why He is called the King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelations 19:16). Furthermore, your allegiance to Jesus Christ must be unwavering if you will not lose your status as king unto God. Are you unstable in your walk with God? Do you have a place in your heart still reserved for the world? What the Lord said to the Church at Ephesus in Revelation 2:5 He says to you now:

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

It is important for you to know that dominion and power can be stolen from a king. David lost his throne for a while after his son, Absalom, stole the hearts of his subjects away from him (2 Samuel 15:6). David did not regain his throne without a fight. Sin is the “Absalom” we must fight to a standstill. Hebrew 12:4 says:

“Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.”

As a king unto God, I encourage you to always stand your ground in Christ from today and let nothing take away your throne and crown.

Open Heaven 14 May 2019 Tuesday Prayer Point:

Father, help me to continually reign on Your behalf on earth until I see You in glory.

Open Heaven 14 May 2019 Tuesday Hymn 3: Trust And Obey

1 When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4 But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5 Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. – Matthew 6:24

God isn’t against your having money. He’s against money having you. He’s against your making it your priority and putting your trust in it instead of in Him.

Why? Because He knows money makes a lousy god. Its power is limited. It will only buy so much. It will only go so far.

If you need healing from an incurable disease, money won’t help you at all. If your family is falling apart, money won’t mend it. But if you’ll seek God first, His prosperity will reach into every area of your life.

God is so generous that He desires you to have the best on this earth, just as you desire the best for your children. His plan is for you to have all of your needs met according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Get in on that plan by keeping your priorities straight. Seek Him first and His righteousness.

Make pleasing God your No. 1 priority. Set your eyes on Him above all else and all these things will be added to you.
