Anchored Scriptures: Proverbs 24:10, Ecclesiastes 7:14, Romans 8:28

Empowerment Quote: The difference between those who are successful and those who are not successful is those who are successful knows what others do not know.

The Message:

There are three scriptural messages to read today. You will do very well to listen to this message and pray the adversity dissolving prayers that will follow.

From the passage we red (Proverbs 24:10),

1 Upon every man, a bit of rain of adversity will fall. There is no way you can live this life trouble free. Any preacher telling you that you will live a trouble free life is a fraudulent preacher. Moses never lived a trouble free life, Elijah never lived a troubled free life

Didn’t Jesus say ‘I send you as sheep among wolves but be as wise as serpent and quiet as dove’.

Madam, you have married into a wolves family, brother, you have married into a wolves family. That company you are working in, is a wolves company but God has sent you as a sheep among them. Every congregation of the wicked surrounding you shall be scattered in the name of Jesus. They will give you a hard fight, but they shall not prevail.

G.O narrates a real life incident:

Those who were born in the fifties will know the story of a Nigerian boxer. His name is Dick Tiger. There was a big fight between Dick Tiger and a white boxer called George Fulman. At the end of the fight, Dick Tiger was declared the winner. At the end of the fight, as a young person then, I saw that both fighter had a swollen face.

The scripture didn’t say they will not fight, they will but they will not prevail. Unto every man, a level of adversity will happen. You may be passing through your own now, or you might have passed through yours already.

2 Adversity has a fainting power. Oppression can make a wise man mad but if you faint, you become a chewing stick for the enemy. Backsliding during adversity is also part of fainting.

When there is no problem, there is no need for miracle. When there is no test, there is no need for testimony.

Hard times, they are part of your passport to live as a human being. You are crying: that you are having trouble. You are having trouble because you are still carrying the human passport. Bad things sometimes happens to good people, hard times also happen to good people. Adversity has been in the world since the time of Adam.

That is why the Bible says, ‘that man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of troubles’. Every tribe all over the world have their own troubles. The second name for this word is ‘trouble’. The only place where there is no trouble is the cemetery.

The mystery is this: trouble, adversity is God’s method of making warriors. Trouble will always precede victory. That adversity is what makes us to totally rely on God and call upon Him to help us. The wilderness is still the road that leads to Canaan, The Gethsemane still has to precede glory. If you doing something for God and there is no opposition, it’s not clear if it’s God you doing that something for. If you have the power to disallow trouble from troubling you, you would turn your trouble to joy.

Every work of God is always faced with adversities. This is because all satanic territory that we invade, Satan will bitterly contest for it. But Jesus said, ‘be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world’.

Whether we like it or not, there is no education like adversity. It teaches people to be strong. Many of the wonderful sisters here, the beautiful madams here, they will not have been here today and praying now if they had a wonderful and handsome brother to marry.

G.O narrates another real life incident:

A rightfully married woman saw a strange woman took over her home. As soon as she confronted her, the strange woman started chanting incantations. ‘The day Orunmila (a deity) was on a journey and he was delayed, he did this and blablabla: I command you to leave this house’. As soon as she heard that, she called her friend and narrated the ordeal. Her friend screamed, ‘go to the Mountain of Fire and Miracles ministry immediately’. She said the church she’s going, she is a deaconess.

God’s best soldiers are trained in the school of adversity. All the A.G.Os and pastors you are seeing, they passed through things. You learn more of your adversity than from your teachers and academics. Trouble has no respect for your brain powers or family connections. God will not deliver you from trouble, His promise is that He will deliver you in trouble. Those troubles will bring out the useful talent and warrior in you in which your prosperous circumstance would not have allowed you to know your strengths and weaknesses. Trouble is like a knife, it can serve us or cut us.

Whether we like it or not, every righteous man will face the plot of the wicked. Assistance and facilities, they don’t make men. It is trouble and circumstances that makes us men. Those who are assisted easily loose their blessing but those who go through adversity do not easily lose their breakthrough.

Trouble gives a platform for God to display His power. I pray for you that you will move from insult to result, from test to testimony, from mockery to manifestation in the name of Jesus.

If you want to be strong in the day of adversity:

  1. Become a friend of God. Surrender your life to Jesus.
  2. Repent from every known sin. Every sinner is fighting God.
  3. Trust the Lord with all your heart, not half hearted.
  4. Learn to take your burdens to the Lord and leave it there.
  5. Be a praise addict. God is glorious in holiness and fearful in praises. Learn the praise songs. Learn to sing from the hymn books.
  6. Let God’s word dominate your thoughts. God’s word is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword. The more of God’s word in your heart, the smaller the troubles will be.
  7. Know that God is more concerned about your internal salvation.
  8. Be a prayer addict. Don’t joke with prayer. The Bible says men ought always to pray and not faint.
  9. Put on all of the whole armor of God. Exhibit Faith, be prayerful, and do all those things that the book of Ephesians tell us.
  10. Have faith in God, don’t be double minded. Don’t move from place to place, mountain to mountain.
  11. Pray enquiry prayers. If you are going through a situation, pray and He will show you the secret.
  12. Remember that greater is He that is in you that He that is in the world. 1 John 4:4
  13. Remember that trials, troubles, they can get very worse before they get better. Don’t lose hope.
  14. Under no situation must you neglect the assemble of God’s people. It’s a defeatist arrow.
  15. Allow God to deal with your weakness. Sometimes the purpose of adversity is to pinpoint areas where you’re weak.
  16. Refuse to be discouraged. The worst thing that can happen to you in the midst of adversity is to be discouraged. When you’re discouraged, you will be saying and thinking the wrong things, you will be doing the wrong things and it will backfire on you. You will begin to see the wrong things and get into the wrong place and in the wrong spirit when discouragement sets in.

G.O narrates another incident:

A friend was in problems and discouraged so he seek his friend in church for an advise. The friend he seek offered to take him to one baba (herbalist). As soon as the baba saw them, he asked the visitor to go out. He told the one who brought him that ‘tell your friend that people like him don’t come here. There is that thing in him and he doesn’t need to start looking for solutions here and there. The herbalist kept insisting He has that thing’.

Prayer Rain:

After Ministration prayers by Daddy G.O

  1. Voice of my glory: arise, shake the heaven, shake the earth in the name of Jesus.
  2. Satanic arrangement to disgrace me where I’m suppose to be celebrated, backfire in the name of Jesus.
  3. Every conscious and unconscious agreement between the devil and my parent concerning my life, break in the name of Jesus.
  4. Where is the Lord God of Elijah: arise, let my stubborn enemies bury themselves in the name of Jesus.
  5. Where is the Lord God of Elijah: arise, raise a bigger Pharaoh to deal with my Pharaoh in the name of Jesus.
  6. Alter of God, swallow any sickness fighting me in the name of Jesus.
  7. Strong man working against my expectations, expire in the name of Jesus.
  8. Dragon of the enemy pursuing my star, die in the name of Jesus.
  9. Powers digging wells against my finances, your time is up: die in the name of Jesus.
  10. Wickedness of the wicked against my life, expire in the name of Jesus.

And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” — Revelation 21:5

So many people live miserable lives because they are conflicted and feel burdened about the mistakes of their past. If you have been unhappy or discouraged because of the things that have happened in your past, I encourage you to change your thinking and set your focus in a whole new direction. Determine to be what God wants you to be, to have what God wants you to have, and to receive what Jesus died to give you.

Your new life in Christ means that you have been completely forgiven of all your sins. God has wiped your slate clean and taken up residence in your heart. You can let the past go and begin to get excited about your future.

When you feel discouraged, say, “I am not going to live in bondage anymore. I cannot do anything about what I have done in the past, but I can do something about my future. I am going to enjoy my life and have what Jesus died for me to have. I am going to let go of the past and go on pursuing God from this day forth!”

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift from God.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for new beginnings and for making all things new. Please help me to let go of the past and embrace the good plan You have for my future. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

TOPIC: Everything Is Complete

READ: John 19:12-30 King James Version (KJV)

12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.

13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

THE MESSAGE:

Pilate was convinced of the innocence of Jesus and sought to release Him instead of yielding to the malice and envy of the people. But the Jews insisted! Pilate did not want to lose the favour of Caesar or be considered unfaithful, so he delivered Jesus into their hands. They took Jesus away and crucified Him. When He asked for water, they soaked a sponge in vinegar and gave Him. Jesus looked up to heaven and cried, It is finished. By this, Jesus is saying that His job of saving the world has been completed. His sacrifice was not only perfect but acceptable to God.

Sin has a devastating effect of separating us from God. Jesus had to deal with sin and restore our relationship with God so we can have hope of heaven. He died on the cross to get rid of the power of sin. By His death, He reconciled us to God, paid the price of sin in full cancelled all debts, procured complete peace, pardon and forgiveness for us. He has finished the task and nothing else needs to be done or added to what has been done. Salvation is complete. All that is needed of you is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Have you believed? If not, you can do it today.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, Your death has given me hope of life forever. Help me to believe You with all my heart.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. – 1 John 2:10

Whenever you find yourself stumbling into failure or sin, check your love life. Sit down with the Lord and ask Him to show you if you’re in strife with anyone or if you’ve taken offense. If you have, the devil can come in and trip you up.

As a preacher, I’ve seen that happen countless times. I’ll be preaching about something and some believer will get upset with me about it. He’ll decide I’m wrong and go off in a huff—and first thing you know, he’s in trouble.

Mark 4:17 tells us the devil uses those kinds of offenses to steal the Word from our hearts. He causes us to get crosswise with each other. Then he’s able to pull the plug right out of us and drain the Word like water from a bucket.

Don’t ever let that happen to you. If you hear a preacher or another believer saying something that rubs you the wrong way and you catch yourself getting offended say, “Oh no you don’t. You’re not stealing the Word out of me, you lying Devil.” Then get right down on your knees and repent before God.

Search the Word and listen to the Spirit within you and find out what you should do. If you still feel what that person said to you was wrong, pray for him.

Remember, taking offense never comes from God. He says we’re to be rooted and grounded in love. So reject those feelings of offense. Give yourself to that person in love and in prayer. You’ll be able to walk right on through that situation without ever stumbling at all.

Topic: His Word In Your Spirit

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:16).

In Colossians 1:9, Paul, by the Spirit, prays, “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” The word, “understanding” is translated from the Greek “Sunesis”; it’s an interpretation; a way of thinking; a mentality. The Apostle Paul, in that verse, was dealing with a certain kind of understanding—a revelatory understanding—which the Word of God gives us.

This is why you need to stay in God’s Word, studying with understanding. Read our opening verse again: it says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly….” This will make you spiritually sagacious, insightful, and wise.

Another beautiful part of this is that God isn’t just raising us for this world. All that He’s doing in us—His programming in us through the Word is for the ages to come. So, if you don’t have the Word in you, with the Holy Spirit granting you spiritual understanding, insight into the realities of the Kingdom while you’re still in the earth, how are you going to function in the world to come?

Therefore, it’s important that you study the Scriptures with excitement; have a wild and voracious appetite for the Word. Be all out for the Word, because God’s Word is everything. With the Word in you, it doesn’t matter what you desire in this world, you can get it! With the Word of God in your spirit, and coming forth from your mouth, you can serve the Lord faithfully and bring Him glory now, and in the ages to come.

CONFESSION
I walk in righteousness and dominion, and I have insight into mysteries and secrets of God’s Kingdom. I live above the world and its failing systems; I live in Christ and His world order. Hallelujah!

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 17 April 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Becoming The Head

Click HERE for Previous MESSAGES by Pastor D.K. Olukoya

TOPIC: Becoming The Head (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 17 April 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 1-2; Luke 14:1-24

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 28:1-7

MEMORY VERSE: “And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.” – Psalms 27:6

The MESSAGE:

God does not want any of His children to live a life of the tail. Romans 8:19 says that the earnest expectations of the creature wait for the manifestation of the sons of God. God wants us to manifest and be the head over all things (Ephesians 1:22). God wants us to be the head because it is the head that has the authority. It is the head that controls, it is the head that issues command and it is the head that establishes.

The position of the head is God’s desire for His children, and it is a wonderful place to attain in life. However, to become the head is not something one can attain on a platter of gold. Even the people of the world who desire to be the head must fight for it. When it now comes to the spiritual, the fight becomes so aggressive and violent. The enemy will not just fold his arms watching you climb the ladder of greatness.

To become the head, there are things to confront and conquer. The number one thing is the flesh. Until a man confronts and conquers the flesh, to attain the position of the head in God’s agenda becomes a mirage. Another thing to confront and conquer is the world. The world is a system and arrangement under the control of the evil ones and opposed to God and His purpose for man. To become the head, satan and his agents must be confronted and conquered.

The tail region is for the sinful and unregenerated. Through the finished work of Jesus, believers have been made head and joint heirs with Christ, whom the Father has made the head and heir of all things. Beloved, claim your rightful place as the head and reject the tail region.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
TO BECOME THE head, CHRIST MUST BE YOUR HEAD AND TAIL.

PROPHETIC WORD:
The enemy will not smite your destiny.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. I break every hold of witchcraft working against my life, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I command a change in all my unprofitable situations, in the name of Jesus.

  4. Let every mountain of satanic confrontation be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Every mountain of impossibility, be dashed to pieces, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Let new wells spring up in my desert, in the name of Jesus.

DCLM Daily Manna 17 April 2019 – Humility is the Byword

Topic: Humility is the Byword [DCLM Daily Manna 17 April 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Exodus 24:1-11 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me” (Isaiah 38:12).

MESSAGE:

Affliction do not always portend negative tendencies after all. They sometimes possess the capacity to temper and master proud and impenitent hearts; unseating them from their lofty heights and bringing them down to reality. Those who were once victims of exaggerated sense of self-conceit because of physical and material worth, always meet their waterloo in the face of mysterious and unyielding infirmities.

This was the message Hezekiah passed across in the passage under consideration. He had just been miraculously healed from a strange malady by God who also cancelled the damning pronouncement by Prophet Isaiah that he must shortly die. Hezekiah offer a heart-rending prayer to God citing his credentials of unalloyed service and a single-minded pursuit of God as reasons for a respite. Mercifully, God heard his prayer, healed him and added fifteen more years to his life-span.

Overwhelmed, Hezekiah reacted to God’s kindness by writing a poem underscoring God’s infinite and supreme nature as against man’s transient and finite frame.

Most people erroneously believe that they will live forever. Surrounded by fleeting material resources, they delude themselves with a mindset of carnal, control of man’s destiny. It often takes a shock therapy such as King Hezekiah experienced, to puncture their inflated and unreal ego and expose them for whom they really are.

Man’s life is short and full of troubles. Without God, it holds no meaning and bursts like a bubble when assailed by intimidating challenges of life. The pity of it is that those who carry on with life as if they possess the supreme control over it invariably find out to their chagrin that they had made a fatal mistake. Please make peace with Jesus now.

Thought For The Day: He who forgets his Maker does so at his peril.

Seeds of Destiny 17 April 2019 Devotional — The Preservation Power Of Uprightness

Topic: The Preservation Power of Uprightness [Seeds of Destiny 17 April 2019 Devotional]

Click HERE for Previous MESSAGES by Pastor Paul Enenche

Uprightness or righteousness preserves but transgression destroys.

SCRIPTURE: Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. Psalms 25:21

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Uprightness or righteousness preserves but transgression destroys.

It is clear from scriptures that there is a preservation power in uprightness (Psalms 25:21). Uprightness or righteousness preserves but transgression destroys. Maintaining an upright standing is key to preservation in life, but compromise is a way to destruction.

Job was one man in scripture who enjoyed the preservation power of uprightness. Despite the challenges and afflictions that he faced, as long as he held on to his integrity, the enemy could not finish him; he lived to a very good old age (Job 27:3, Job 42:16, 17).

The question is, how does uprightness preserve?

  1. Uprightness keeps people in the Presence of God (Psalms 24:3-5). An upright person carries the Presence of God and the Presence of God is the preservative of life and destiny. Unrighteousness keeps you from God and to be kept from God is to be exposed to calamity.
  2. Uprightness facilitates answers to prayers (Isa. 59:1-2). It is important that we have the assurance that God will answer our prayers when we call on Him, especially in times of emergencies (Jeremiah 33:3).

Beloved, to avoid uprightness is to embrace disaster. To enjoy iniquity is to endure calamity. To avoid uprightness is to avoid eternity in Heaven. The reason you must live an upright life is not just so you can escape premature death, but majorly because of your making eternity in heaven.

Whatever life a person lived that made him to end up in hell at the end was never worth it. But that shall not be your portion, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: Uprightness or righteousness preserves but transgression destroys.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Avoid any distraction that tends to contend with your association with God.
  2. Make eternity your focus in life.

PRAYER: O Lord, I ask for the grace to live uprightly. I resist every form of distraction in my life as I look forward to spending eternity with You, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

Intercede – Open Heavens for Teens 17 April 2019

Topic: Intercede [Open Heavens for Teens 17 April 2019]

Memorise: “Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:” – 1 Samuel 12:23

Read: Ezekiel 22:30-31

30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Bible In One Year: 1 Samuel 22-25, Luke 16:1-18

MESSAGE:

Intercession is a process where a person positions him/herself in between two people: one with a need or a problem and the other person with the answer to the solution.

As a teenager, you are not too young to pray for others, especially your parents.

In this present age, providing for your needs can be very difficult. And since you are most likely doing anything to ease up their financial responsibilities, you can make it your point of duty to pray for them. Pray frequently for their health; a sick parent won’t be able to provide for you. Pray frequently that they get the things they after easily. Pray that they find favour and success in all their endeavours.

Also, when you come across someone with a need or a problem, after you have done what you can do physically to help, take it upon yourself to ask God to provide solutions to their problems. God is always looking for intercessors (Ezekiel 22:30), if you make yourself available to intercede for others, you make God happy and He will bless you for that.

Action Point: Pray for someone that you know that needs help.

Hymn 13:

1 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.

2 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross

3 Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?

4 We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.

Topic: Ignore Satan’s Counterfeit (Open Heaven 17 April 2019)

Memorise: “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”- Matthew 24:11

Read: Deuteronomy 18:18-22 (KJV)

18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Bible in One Year: Genesis 14-16, Jeremiah 19:10-20:6

Open Heaven 17 April 2019 Wednesday MESSAGE:

While God operates in the invisible realm of the spirit, man operates in the realm of the physical world. Faith is therefore required for man to interact with God (Hebrews 11:6). Without Faith, it is absolutely impossible to acknowledge the existence of God or connect with Him in anyway. In Romans 10:17, the Holy Spirit declares that faith comes by hearing the word of God. In other words, faith can only come through God’s word. God essentially designed His word to be the perfect tool that enables us to connect with Him through the stirring up of faith in our spirit man.

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” – 2 Timothy 3:15-17

Daily interaction with the word of God develops the kind of faith that is focused on salvation and eternity, and it produces character that is thoroughly equipped to yield the fruits of righteousness to the glory of God. Consequently, the word of God should be desired more than our daily food (Job 23:12). Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God (Luke 4:4). He also commanded His disciples to go and teach all nations of the world to do the things in His word, so that everyone can be saved and spend eternity in heaven. In this wise, we must not only listen to God’s word but also put it into practice.

Knowing the importance and power behind God’s word, Satan has set out a grand scheme to counterfeit and adulterate it through so called “higher knowledge”. Children of God should therefore be careful of new revelations and information from extra-biblical sources. Stop listening to false prophets and ungodly suggestions from people of questionable character who have no solid spiritual background (Deuteronomy 13:1-3). Our Lord said we would easily recognize such people by their fruit (Matthew 7:20). After identifying them, I admonish you to discountenance their claim, avoid getting carried away by what they say, and ignore their “prophetic” and “miraculous” propaganda (1 John 4:1). Completely reject anyone who brings any philosophy or teaching that is not found in the Bible (2 John 1:10). Remember they will not stand for you before God on the day of judgment.

Open Heaven 17 April 2019 Wednesday Hymn 7: My Hope Is Built In Nothingness

1 My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name

Chorus:
On Christ the solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

2 When darkness hides His lovely face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil

3 His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way
He then is all my hope and stay

4 When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless to stand before the throne
