Topic: God or Medical Report [Open Heavens for Teens 9 March 2019]
Memorise: “For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” – Psalm 33:9
Read: Psalm 33:8-9
8.Let all the earth fear the Lord [revere and worship Him]; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9.For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Bible In One Year: Deuteronomy 8-10, Mark 12:28-44
MESSAGE:
God’s word has integrity. What He says He will do, His word is Him in action. He does amazing things to His children particularly to the ones who call on Him in faith. There is the testimony of a child who was born with sickle cell anaemia. He lived that way for years, then one day he had an attack and cried out to God. He prayed with all his heart and went to the hospital, he got to the hospital and a test was conducted, then he discovered that his genotype had changed from SS to AA, this is what God can do.
It is sad that today, majority of God’s children believe what the doctors say over what God says. His word says by Jesus’ stripes you were healed (Isaiah 53:5). Why can’t you believe? Although sometimes, the symptoms may persist even after praying for healing. It is then that you should increase in faith and decree God’s word because God can never lie. Jesus was not bruised for nothing sake, He was bruised for you not to be bruised. So rather than look at the symptoms or the medical report, look unto God and decree your healing.
Key Point:
Speak healing rather than symptoms of that sickness from today.
My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!
May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm and changeless be,
A living fire!
While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.
When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Savior, then, in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul.

Memorise: “And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.”- Genesis 19:28
Read: Genesis 13:7-13, Genesis 19:27-30 (KJV)
Genesis 13:7-13: 7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram’s cattle and the herdmen of Lot’s cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.
12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
Genesis 19:27-30: 27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:
28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

Open Heaven 9 March 2019 Saturday MESSAGE:
It is a deadly thing for a person to be in the wrong place at any point in time, and this includes being among the wrong people. This has led to many unpleasant experiences that have caused irreparable harm to people, even leading to their death. It is therefore not surprising that the Bible says in Psalm 1:1:
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
How great the wisdom of our God is! The wisdom further says to us in 2 Corinthians 6:16-17:
“16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,”
Some children of God have found themselves in the wrong places because of their search for so-called “greener pasture”. The story of Elimelech in the book of Ruth is a sad example of someone who found himself in a wrong place while seeking greener pasture. Because of a famine, he left Bethlehem-Judah in search of a means of livelihood in the land of Moab, and he suffered immeasurable loss for it (Ruth 1:1-7). He lost his life and his linage was almost wiped out. Today’s Bible tells the similar unfortunate story of how Lot chose a place that seemed good for his livestock farming activities, only to later find out that it was the wrong place to dwell in. Lot chose to dwell in the land of wicked people because he loved the prosperity of the wicked. How wrong he was to live among wicked people who were marked out for destruction. Whoever chooses to dwell among the wicked will likely suffer the same fate as the wicked. The Lord decided to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because their grievous sins had become too great in His sight. If not for Abraham, Lot would have been destroyed along with them. Nevertheless, his wife and all his savings were lost in one day. Imagine the regret and agony he must have felt as Sodom and Gomorrah burnt like a furnace. That is what the cost of being in the wrong place looks like. May you never experience the agony of being in an ungodly environment in Jesus Name.

Who are those you share your daily life with? Seek and work towards mingling with people who fear the Lord. As much as it lies within your power, do not dwell in the same habitation with the wicked.
Open Heaven 9 March 2019 Saturday Hymn 3: Trust And Obey
1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey.
Chorus:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey.
3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, But is blessed if we trust and obey.
4. But we never can prove the delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey.
5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey.

Federal Judge Lifts Injunction on Transgender Troop Ban
A federal judge Thursday lifted an injunction against the Trump administration’s ban on most transgender troops, moving the policy one step closer to taking effect.
The Supreme Court in January halted injunctions from two lower courts against the policy. Thursday’s action came from a third court that still had an injunction in place. In his ruling, U.S. District Judge George L. Russell said he was “bound by the Supreme Court’s decision” from January.
The Obama administration had announced in 2016 that transgender troops could serve openly. Under Trump, the Department of Defense reversed that policy and replaced it with one that allowed transgender personnel but prohibited those who had “a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria.” The effect was to allow some transgender people to serve but only in their biological sex.
The Pentagon applauded Thursday’s decision.
“The department is pleased with the district court’s decision to stay the final injunction against the department’s proposed transgender policy,” Pentagon spokeswoman Jessica Maxwell said Thursday in a statement. “The 2016 policy will remain in effect until the department issues further guidance, which will be forthcoming in the near future.”
The Justice Department argued in a 2018 petition to the Supreme Court that the Obama-era policy harms the military.
Only 25 Percent of Christians Live in ‘Spiritually Vibrant’ Homes, Barna Study Finds
Twenty-five percent of professing, practicing Christians live in households that regularly pray and practice Bible reading together and conduct outreach together to others, while 28 percent live in households that do none of the items on that list, according to new research by Barna.
The survey of 2,347 adults and teens who were identified as practicing Christians found that only a minority lived in what Barna termed “spiritually vibrant” households. The poll was conducted in partnership with Lutheran Hour Ministries as part of Barna’s new Households of Faith report.
The goal of the poll was to examine how Christian homes practiced their faith together, and not as individuals. Christians who lived alone were not included in the survey.
Practicing Christians, according to Barna, are identified as self-identified Christians who “say their faith is very important in their lives and have attended a worship service within the past month.”
Most practicing Christians, though, don’t live in spiritually vibrant homes.
Barna asked Christians about three elements of their house’s faith practice:
– Spiritual practices – defined here as praying every day or two together and reading the Bible weekly, together.
– Spiritual conversations – defined as talking about God together at least weekly.
23 Republicans Opposed a House Anti-Semitic Resolution, Here’s Why
The Democratic-controlled House easily passed a resolution Thursday condemning anti-Semitism, but only after it was broadened to include Islamophobia.
The action was viewed as a response to comments about Israel made by Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Muslim and Democratic freshman.
“It’s not about her,” Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, insisted during a news conference. “It’s about these forms of hatred.”
Yet members of both parties acknowledged that Omar’s comments sparked the action. The initial draft condemned only anti-Semitism, but the resolution that passed by a vote of 407-23 Thursday mentioned several groups, including LGBT people.
But Jews and Muslims were the primary focus of the resolution.
The resolution said the House “rejects the perpetuation of anti-Semitic stereotypes in the United States and around the world, including the pernicious myth of dual loyalty and foreign allegiance, especially in the context of support for the United States-Israel alliance.” It also said members condemn “anti-Semitic acts and statements as hateful expressions of intolerance that are contradictory to the values that define the people of the United States.”
Omar had criticized supporters of Israel for their “allegiance to a foreign country.”
Further, the resolution said the House “acknowledges the harm suffered by Muslims…
The OurCrowd Global Investor Summit took place Thursday, March 7 in Israel and allowed technology innovators and inventors to show their designs and products to potential investors.
“OurCrowd is the largest investment platform for investors to invest in startups online and in person in events like this OurCrowd summit,” said Jon Medved, CEO and founder of OurCrowd.
“What’s most exciting about (the) event is that we’re focused on impact, on how startups can focus on global challenges. How we can look right in the eye these issues of climate change, pollution, hunger, health care, transportation, energy and how can startups bring to humanity a huge impact for the better,” Medved said.
One Israeli company, Watergen, showed how it turned air into water by pulling air from the atmosphere into a machine that filters the air and is then processed and condensed into purified water.
“We think that we found the solution for the entire world, for the new source of drinking water,” Watergen executive chairman Maxim Pasik told CBN News.
Another company, NSLComm, told attendees, that it wanted to connect more people using microsatellites.
“There are four billion people in the world who are not connected … They need to be able to choose to whether to…
It’s hard to imagine how Adama Fambuleh, a 30-year-old mother of eight, two of which she gave birth to and the rest adopted because they insisted, can be as positive about life as she is.
Sat under the scorching sun on a small wooden bench outside her home in Bumbeh Pejuh village, in the Southern Province, Fambuleh recalled how her teenage girls were forced to leave their school during the outbreak.
When it was time for the girls to return, Fambuleh (below) had no money to buy their uniform.
But with the help of a Christian Aid initiative that provides steel boxes for women in communities to collectively save money to use for emergencies, Fambuleh was able to borrow money – with interest, for the youngsters to return to school.
It really is as simple as it sounds – the charity takes two ordinary padlocked steel boxes into communities and remarkably, it doesn’t take long for transformations to occur. Within a year, of the boxes being introduced, it’s clear what kind of difference it has made.
“I’m so thankful to God for being chair lady of the box,” Fambuleh told Premier.
She beamed with pride describing the respect she has received since she was selected to be one of two women that have the responsibility of managing the boxes.
Chick-fil-A Offers Fish Alternatives in Honor of Lent
Chick-fil-A is working to make sure that customers celebrating Lent can still come to eat at the Christian fast-food chicken joint by offering fish.
During Lent, according to Catholic tradition, those participating in Lent cannot eat meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and all subsequent Fridays leading up to Easter. Some, however, choose fish as an acceptable alternative for meats like chicken, beef, and pork.
According to CBN News, select Chick-fil-A locations will be offering fish until the end of Lent – April 20 – out of respect for customers participating in the tradition.
Reportedly the locations will offer a selection of fish dishes including a fish sandwich, a deluxe fish sandwich and boxed 2 and 3 count fish entrees and meals.
According to Today, the chicken restaurant has been offering the “Lenten Fish” since 2015 at some locations and many people appear excited to have Fish back on the menu.
Twitter user 2K. voiced their excitement for the sandwich saying, “Listennnnnn, the fish sandwich they have at Chick-fil-A for lent is sooooo bombbbbbb!”

Leah Sharibu was one of 110 girls who was abducted from a college in Daphci, Yobe state, on 19th February 2018 by a faction of Boko Haram called al Barnawi.
The MP for Glasgow East wrote that he has “profound concerns”, saying: “In light of International Women’s Day on Friday, I would greatly appreciate an update on any recent representations that have been made to the Nigerian government regarding Ms Sharibu’s case”.
He explains that the context of her being held captive shows it has been for religious reasons as 104 of the 110 girls were released, five died and Ms Sharibu is widely thought to have been held back for refusing to convert to Islam.
In his letter, Mr Linden writes: “The Nigerian Government has a clear constitutional obligation to ensure that every citizen is ‘protected irrespective of his/her gender, culture and religious belief.’ However in this instance, a minor was not only left in the hands of terrorists on account of her religious beliefs when her surviving colleagues were released; she also continues to suffer multiple and severe violations…It is a terrible indictment of the Nigerian Government’s failure to assist a vulnerable citizen, and of an international community that has not held it sufficiently to account for this.”
He says that Leah Sharibu has been held captive alongside humantiarian workers, one of whom was shot in the head and filmed…
Girl Scouts Deny Taking Position on Abortion despite Honoring Pro-Abortion Campaign
Patti Garibay, founder and executive director of American Heritage Girls (AHG) announced that the Girl Scouts USA “have lost their moral compass,” drawing attention to the organizations continued engagement with “left-wing political activism,” and close partnership with pro-abortion organizations such as Planned Parenthood, “exposing young girls to liberal politicians and promoting their ideology.”
With the 107thanniversary of the founding of Girl Scouts approaching, Garibay addressed how far the present-day organization has come from its inception, and how much its values and emphases have changed.
Girl Scouts USA recently honored a recipient of the Gold Award, Girl Scout’s highest achievement, to an Arizona girl scout for her project in which she organized a pro-choice campaign promoting “reproductive health justice,” according to Life News.
The young high schooler said she became interested in advocating for abortion after the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. She worked with the Women’s March to “educate people about and de-stigmatize access to women’s healthcare.”
The Girl Scouts organization states on its website that it “develop materials” or “take a position” on issues relating to birth control, sexuality, and abortion, said CBN News. In spite of this the Girl Scouts have a “cozy…
