South Carolina Megachurch Donates $50,000 to Pro-Life Pregnancy Resource Center

South Carolina Megachurch Donates $50,000 to Pro-Life Pregnancy Resource Center

A South Carolina megachurch pastor announced on Sunday that his 3,500-member congregation donated $50,000 to a local pro-life pregnancy resource center, Women’s Enrichment Center.

According to the Christian Post, Transformation Church Pastor and former NFL player Derwin Gray announced during Sunday’s service how deeply personal the large donation was.

Gray told the congregation, “For those of you who don’t know, my mom was pregnant with me at 16 years old in 1971 at Thomas Jefferson High School. She was bussed to a school then in the suburbs. And the school nurse said, ‘You should go to California to abort your child.’”

Thankfully, Gray’s mother chose to keep the baby, and while Gray admitted that the two have always had a complicated relationship, having him was something they always agree about.

According to the Christian Post, Executive Director for the Women’s Enrichment Center in Lancaster Julie Walters – who is a member of Transformation Church – joined Gray on stage during the announcement.

Gray said as he called her up on stage, “Julie and her team are right on the front lines of helping women and young men just make decisions to bring forth life.”

“So we have partnered with her and her team for several years. Today, we the people at Transformation Church want to give you $50,000 to continue to do the great work…

‘Heaven Has a Wall’: Christian Grocery Store Ad Sparks Social Media Backlash

‘Heaven Has a Wall’: Christian Grocery Store Ad Sparks Social Media Backlash

A grocery store sparked controversy after sending out a weekly sales flier that appeared to make a pro-border wall political statement.

According to CBN News, Mac’s Fresh Market – which has locations in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi – was under fire this week after they sent out a weekly – adorned with a quote of the week that read, “Heaven has a wall, a gate, and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders. Let that sink in.”

The timely statement reportedly in sighted anger in some people. The store’s owner Reggy McDaniel said some people called him racist and one person even sent him a death threat.

One person named Pete Abbotsford criticized the store on Facebook writing, “How about we build a wall around your store to protect people from your racism and fake religion? You are what’s wrong with Louisiana. Never, ever, will I refer anyone to your so-called ‘store’”

Another person called Nicholas Biegel wrote, “Hells open to whomever wrote this ad.”

Yet another person named Celia S. Valada criticized the store calling the ad maker a “bigot.” Valada wrote, “Theological scholar, or just another bigot using Religion as a weapon? This is no different than how extremeists (sic) use Islam to oppress others.”

Despite the onslaught of angry comments, McDaniel told the Christian Post that between “85 and…

Open Heaven 15 February 2019 – Addressed as Dressed

Open Heaven 15 February 2019 Friday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Addressed as Dressed

Topic: Addressed as Dressed (Open Heaven 15 February 2019)

Memorise: “Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;”- 1 Peter 3:3

Read: Exodus 2:15-20 (KJV)

15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?

19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

Bible in One Year: John 12-13, Isaiah 40:9-26

Open Heaven 15 February 2019 Friday MESSAGE:

God loves us so much that He is concerned about every part of us – spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). As His children and ambassadors who convey His image to the world, He is very much interested in the way we look and present ourselves before others. For this reason, He was the one who first clothed man (Genesis 3:21). We therefore ought to give careful heed to what the Bible says on dressing and adornment. Human beings put on clothes for various reasons which include covering nakedness, protection against harsh weather and to look beautiful. Adornment on the other hand refers to ornaments used to enhance human beauty. Dressing and adornment can be viewed as a form of packaging. Although the quality of the product cannot be correctly assessed by the appearance of its container alone, the container is more often than not representative of what’s inside. This is why business and branding people design packages that give near perfect impression of their products. Without any doubt, the packaging of a product plays a very important role in attracting buyers as they take a look at competing products on the display shelf. In like manner, human dressing and adornment brands the person wearing them, giving a fair estimate of their personality and character to anyone meeting them for the first time. This is why it is said that you are addressed the way you are dressed. Moses in today’s Bible reading was thought to be an Egyptian because of the way he was dressed.

The Bible often speaks figuratively about clothing and adornment. Isaiah 61:10 tells us that a person can be dressed with the garment of salvation and robe of righteousness. Job 40:10 says it is possible to deck oneself with majesty and excellence, and be arrayed with glory and beauty. Proverbs 1:8-9 teaches that listening to the godly counsel of parents shall one day become a graceful ornament on the head and beautiful chains around the neck of obedient children. Without a doubt, our appearance which is largely determined by our dressing and adornment communicates our personality and intentions. Just like a person can dress up as a prostitute, so also can he or she be clothed with humility or adorned with pride. Whether this is done intentionally or not does not matter; what is important is that a child of God should be concerned about the kind of image he or she is projecting to the world. It is time for you to accept the reality that a person is addressed the way he or she is dressed, and that your appearance ultimately determines how the world will respond to you. As a child of God, you must not be involved in the proclamation of evil ideologies in the name of fashion, culture, “civilization” or “enlightenment”. Your appearance indeed matters to God.

Open Heaven 15 February 2019 Friday Action Point:

Examine your closet and do away with clothes that do not present the image of God you bear in good light.

Open Heaven 15 February 2019 Friday Hymn 5: Let Others See Jesus In You

1.While passing thro’ this world of sin,
and others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.

Chorus:
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true;
Let others see Jesus in you.

2. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
They’re reading it thro’ and thro’
Say, does it point them to the skis,
Do others see Jesus in you?

3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
and lead the lost to life and Christ.
Let others see Jesus in you.

‘He Was in His Face’: Trump Confronts Top Democrat on Late-Term Abortion

‘He Was in His Face’: Trump Confronts Top Democrat on Late-Term Abortion

President Trump’s opposition to late-term abortion resulted in a tense scene in the White House last week when he confronted a Democratic senator who is a professing Christian.

Democratic Sen. Chris Coons (Del.) and other religious politicians and leaders were attending a dinner in the White House’s Blue Room the night before the National Prayer Breakfast when the encounter occurred, Politico reported. Coons describes himself as a “practicing Christian and a devout Presbyterian.” He was co-chair of the breakfast and joined a Republican senator in praying for Trump the next day.

Three sources told Politico the scene was tense when Trump approached Coons in the Blue Room to discuss the Democrats’ support of a New York law and a Virginia bill that allow abortion up to the moment of birth.

“He was in his face about it,” one source told Politico. The same person described Trump as “worked up.”

“He saw a Democrat in the room, a Democrat who’s known to be a person of faith, and he was like, ‘Why aren’t you speaking out about this?’” the source told Politico.

A second source said the confrontation was awkward and attention-grabbing. Coons was elected in 2010 and holds the seat that Joe Biden formerly filled. He serves on five committees and is considered one of the top dealmakers in D.C. Coons also helps lead a weekly prayer…

Sir Ken Dodd answers his church’s prayers with donation

His wife, Lady Anne revealed part of his estate will fund a complete revamp of St John the Evangelist’s church hall in Knotty Ash.

She has continued to attend services there since Sir Ken died last March.

Rev Julia Jesson, the vicar there, told Premier her reaction to the news.

“Well, it’s very difficult to put it into words”, she said during Premier’s News Hour.

“When we were faced with the challenge of knowing what condition the church hall was in, we spent the summer very much prayerful about how we were going to achieve renovation.”

Under a will made several years before his death, Lady Anne was instructed to ensure good causes across Liverpool would benefit from the £27.5m estate.

The vicar of the church receiving the undisclosed sum told Premier how the church will use the money: “We have a desire to maybe prepare meals for children during school holidays – those that are on free meals.

“We want to be able to serve the older members of the community with activities, with lunches.”

Listen to Premier’s Cara Bentley speaking with Rev Julia Jesson:

DC Comics Cancels ‘Blasphemous’ Jesus Series after 220,000 Sign Petition

DC Comics Cancels ‘Blasphemous’ Jesus Series after 220,000 Sign Petition

DC Comics says it is canceling a series about Jesus that many Christians labeled heresy, although the writer implied on social media that the series may resurface elsewhere.

The series, Second Coming, presented Jesus coming back to Earth to fight evil alongside Sun-Man. The series plot described Christ as having limitations in knowledge and power.

“Witness the return of Jesus Christ, as He is sent on a most holy mission by God to learn what it takes to be the true messiah of mankind by becoming roommates with the world’s favorite savior: the all-powerful superhero Sun-Man, the Last Son of Krispex!” the plot summary for the first issue read. “But when Christ returns to Earth, he’s shocked to discover what has become of his gospel — and now, he aims to set the record straight.”

The plot for the second issue was just as problematic: “An unexpected death leads to God showing off his heavenly kingdom to the son He wished He had, while the Son He has catches up on the earthly plane.”

More than 220,000 people signed a petition urging DC to cancel it. The first issue was scheduled to be released on March 6.

Scripture teaches that Jesus is God and thus, all-knowing and all-powerful.

Newsarama.com reported that DC has told retailers it is cancelling the series.

The series writer, Mark Russell, confirmed the cancellation and said…

Rhapsody of Realities 15 February 2019 – Automatic Cleansing

Rhapsody of Realities 15 February 2019 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – Automatic Cleansing

Topic: Automatic Cleansing

In whom, we have our redemption—the remission of sins, — (Colossians 1:14 EBR).

Aren’t you glad that in Christ, all our sins are remitted; past, present, and future? Imagine if someone says our future sins weren’t taken care of by the blood of Jesus, when then is He going to fix them? When will they be remitted?

Also, assuming that a Christian committed a sin at his workplace, and said to himself, “This office isn’t conducive for me to pray right now; I’m going to hurry up with work so I can get home to pray, and get reconciled with God.” Imagine that while he’s still at work, the trumpet for the rapture of the Church suddenly sounds; will he go to heaven or will he be left behind?

Now, maybe you’re thinking, “That Christian is done for! He can’t go to heaven.” That means you really don’t know the Lord. He’s too passionate about your salvation to leave you behind because you made a mistake. He provided for the Christian what is called automatic cleansing! This is what the Word teaches.

Those who’ll be left behind are those who haven’t been walking in His light; those who didn’t know Him and didn’t love Him. The mere fact that you acknowledged you did something wrong, for which you thought to talk to Him, shows that His light is in your heart.

Now, read what the Word says in 1 John 1:7: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin .” The underlined portion doesn’t say you’ll be cleansed after you pray to God for forgiveness; no! Neither does it say the blood of Jesus is going to cleanse you from sin; it’s not futuristic; it’s a continuous automatic process! His blood CLEANSES you each time the need arises.

And guess what? This auto-remission of your sins is a legal matter before God. It’s no longer a matter of choice from God; it’s a legal justification for a Christian. Hallelujah!

This is why it’s so important that we know, understand, and walk daily in the light of God’s Word, not in human assumptions. Walk in the light of your righteousness, pleasing the Lord with your life, and you’ll not have to worry about sin, because your nature in Christ isn’t subject to sin.

CONFESSION
I live and walk in righteousness; Satan has nothing in me, because in Christ Jesus my Lord, I’ve been justified from all things from which I couldn’t be justified by the Law of Moses. I walk conscious of the Father’s nature in me. Hallelujah!

Christians who don’t back Trump are morons

The head of megachurch First Baptist Dallas, Jeffress, who is also a member of Donald Trump’s evangelical advisory board, made the comments on radio presenter Todd Starnes’ show.

“Let me say this as charitably as I can,” Jeffress said.

“These ‘Never Trump’ evangelicals are morons. They are absolutely spineless morons, and they cannot admit that they were wrong.”

His strong words followed a conversation about abortion.

“This is an issue of life and death,” Jeffress continued.

“This is so black and white, so much about good versus evil. I don’t get it.

“It really goes to the core of who we are as a country and what kind of a country we have in the future, and if we can’t get this issue of life right, I just don’t know where we’re going to go down the road.”

Mr Trump has been very vocal about his pro-life stance.

White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere confirmed that the president had recently met with Democratic New York governor Andrew Cuomo for a wide-ranging conversation on several topics of disagreement, including abortion.

According to Deere’s statement, “The President raised his concerns to Governor Cuomo about Democrats’ support of late term abortions” during the meeting.

Last month, New York State passed a law protecting women’s access to abortion if Roe v Wade is ever overturned.

The Reproductive Health Act…

Ese means thank you in Yoruba language in the western part of Nigeria. This song came to me as a reminder, when i think of how many people who die everyday through different medium, most terrible one was before i lost my Dad in 2016.

I spent my first two weeks of the new year with him in the hospital, I saw a lot of patient crying with different symptoms, many were not because they had no money to be heal. I can still remember a very rich man who was rushed into the emergency unit, who passed out under an hour.

After spending all I had, my Dad still died. Why I said to my God thank you, is because of the great gift of life.

DC Comics axes ‘blasphemous’ comic of side-kick Jesus

‘Second Coming’, which suggests Christ upset God because he was arrested so soon during his first coming, was branded “outrageous” and “blasphemous” by some believers.

Some 230,000 people signed a petition created by CitizenGo which urged DC Comics to cease involvement.

It has now emerged the California-headquartered company has now shelved publication – planned for next month.

Ignacio Arsuaga, the president of CitizenGo, said: “We are glad to hear that the blasphemous ‘Second Coming’ comic will not be released by DC Comics.

“This is a victory for Christianity and a victory in favour of respecting religious beliefs.

“It would be a shame for a popular and well-loved brand like DC Comics to promote this blasphemous and anti-Christian content.”

In a message posted on Twitter, the creator of ‘Second Coming’ said he had gone “separate ways” with its would-be publishers.
