Text: Nehemiah 7:1-4 (KJV)
Key Verse: “That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many” (Nehemiah 7:2).
MESSAGE:
The word “faithful” has become a very scarce commodity in today’s world. Many nations of the world are in crisis because those who run the affairs of such countries are not faithful men and women. They are those who appropriate the commonwealth to themselves, leaving the masses to pine in penury. Although they promise to serve selflessly, they are, unfortunately, not accountable to the people. They are selfish and self-serving.
In many religious circles, the scarcity of faithful ministers and leaders has become a huge threat to the gospel, as many of them are interested in the purse and not in the pursuit of souls.
The testimony of Nehemiah concerning his brother, Hanani, that he was a faithful man, is a challenge to every professing believer. He appointed him to take charge over Jerusalem because of his faithfulness. He knew that he would not take advantage of the appointment to feather his own nest; Nehemiah also knew that he would not take undue advantage of their familiarity to perpetrate acts that would embarrass him.
Nowadays, people abuse privileges. When appointed into positions of authority, they pride themselves above the law. They are unruly and uncontrollable.
People who handle God’s work with levity or make merchandise of His people cannot escape His judgment except they repent. How do you handle your secular and ministerial work? Remember, God watches our motives and actions.

Topic: The Content of the Blessing [Seeds of Destiny 3 February 2019 Devotional]
SCRIPTURE: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Blessing is a limit terminator.
The Blessing of God has been confirmed to be one of the greatest assets on earth. This is because the Blessing is very important to life and destiny. It is important to know that at creation, man was not given money or material possessions by God but the Blessing (Genesis 1:28). Although, man lost the Blessing in the Garden of Eden after he sinned against God, God restored the Blessing to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:3).This is to let us know that the Blessing is a crucial necessity for life and destiny.
It is, therefore very important to understand the content of the Blessing. Now, what is the content of the Blessing of God? What is the potency of the Blessing?
The Blessing is a limit terminator (Gen.12:1-5)
Abraham suffered ancestral limitations but the Blessing of God terminated his limitations. Nothing terminates limits like the Blessing of God.
The Blessing is destiny Opener (Gen. 12:1-5)
The destiny of Abraham was closed until God released his Blessing on Him. The Blessing opens every closed door of life and destiny.
The Blessing is a destiny accelerator
Abraham was at the same spot in life but when the Blessing of God came upon him, he was shifted to another level of life (Genesis 12:1-5). To be blessed is to be shifted in life.
The Blessing is a capacity amplifier
God’s Blessing is an antidote to smallness on earth; the Blessing of God amplifies one’s capacity in life (Genesis 32:24-280).
The Blessing is a life and destiny Preserver
The Blessing protects lives and destinies; a blessed person cannot be wasted. (Genesis 31:26-30).
Beloved, my counsel is, do everything possible to get the Blessing of God. Connect to a prophetic cover to access God’s Blessing for your life and destiny.
Remember this: The Blessing is a limit terminator.

Open Heaven 3 February 2019 Sunday MESSAGE:
The word of God commands us to “be glad in the Lord and rejoice,” but sadly, many Christians do not take this commandment seriously, for various reasons. Although some Christians would love to rejoice and celebrate on a daily basis, they have allowed the storms and challenges of life to completely drown the sound of celebration from their lives. Some others erroneously believe that gladness and celebration are contrary to the word of God because of Bible passages that admonish us to be sober and avoid worldly pleasure. Some even believe that the bright countenance, high spirits, singing and dancing that often accompany celebrations are carnal, worldly and therefore sinful. However, I have good news for you: celebrating the goodness of God is not a sin when done in moderation as the Bible prescribes. I therefore decree that God will do something in your family that will cause you to be glad and rejoice for the rest of your life in Jesus’ Name.
Rejoicing in the Lord is so important that God ordained it to be a regular practice among His people. In fact, the whole of Leviticus chapter 23 is dedicated to instructions on required feasts and celebrations for the Israelites. Celebration can take the form of rejoicing with family and friends in an atmosphere that ascribes praise and worship to God in love, peace and unity. Psalm 22:3 reveals that God inhabits the praises of His people, and He is pleased when His children are happy. According to Exodus 5:1-2, Pharaoh’s refusal to allow the Jews go and celebrate a feast unto their God was responsible for God’s anger against the Egyptians, which ultimately led to their destruction. Anyone or anything that stands in the way of your celebration shall be destroyed today in Jesus’ Name.
Gladness of heart, rejoicing and celebration are vital to the overall wellbeing of a person. Nehemiah 8:10 says that the joy of the Lord is His people’s strength, and Proverbs 17:22 teaches that gladness of heart and joy are like medicine that brings healing to troubled souls. It therefore pays to acknowledge God through thanksgiving praises and worship. However, acceptable celebration demands total submission and obedience to God, and it should serve as a means of testifying to his goodness and witnessing to neighbors about His saving power. The joy of the Lord is a tonic that brings good health to the body and soul. As we experience the goodness of God, our joy becomes contagious and impacts positively on those around us. It also brings the reality of heaven into our hearts (Acts 27:33-36). May God’s joy fill our hearts and lives always, in Jesus Name.

The Christian mother was told this week she was free to leave the country, several months after she was cleared of blasphemy.
Extremists, unhappy at her acquittal last year, had petitioned the court to overturn its verdict and send her back to prison for execution.
Pakistan’s Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa said in court that Ms Bibi’s accusers were guilty of perjury and if the case had not been so sensitive, they should have been jailed for life.
“The image of Islam we are showing to the world gives me much grief and sorrow,” Mr Khosa said.
Welcoming the verdict in an interview with charity Aid to the Chruch in Need, Father Emmanuel ‘Mani’ Yousaf (pictured below), National Director of the Church-run National Commission for Justice and Peace, which provides legal for blasphemy victims called on legal professionals across Pakistan to take note.
“The decision by the Supreme Court means that the lower courts should have the courage now to think twice about handing down the death sentence,” he said. “God bless the judges. They had received threats and yet they knew that Asia Bibi was falsely accused and were strong enough to say so.”
Asia Bibi, who was in prison for almost a decade, has reportedly fled Pakistan.

“There needs to be a way where the social media companies have to show what they have done and an ombudsman system to take action if people are not content, with some sort of fining system like Germany’s.
