1. 1,500-year-old- Pool Discovered in Israel May Hold Biblical Significance
Fox News reported in February that a discovery was made at Ein Hanniya Park, Israel. Reportedly, the Israel Antiquities Authority discovered a system of Byzantine-era ancient pools. The pools are thought to possibly be the site where Phillip baptized the Ethiopian eunuch in the book of…
Man’s Personal Bible Untouched by Fire that Destroyed Home
A Texas man’s personal Bible survived a fire that destroyed his home, and he is calling it an example of God’s faithfulness.
Charles House of Tyler, Texas, was living in a tiny home when it caught fire Friday morning. Firefighters were called around 4:30 a.m., according to KLTV.
“I looked up and my whole bedroom was on fire,” House said. “All I could do was just jump up and run out the house.”
He was saving for a larger place and had converted a storage building into the tiny home.
House said he nearly passed out trying to escape.
“It’s fortunate I got myself out of there,” House told the television station. “It’s a blessing; I can’t stop saying that because it’s a blessing. Thank God.”
But one thing was left: his Bible. As he walked through the rubble, KLTV reported, House spotted an unscathed book surrounded by charred items.
“He said His Word would not perish, and the Bible did not burn,” House said. “It was scorched but it did not burn. That Man’s word is real.”
House added, “You can take it away, but you can never stop His word. I’m a witness to that right now. Seeing that Bible, in the middle of that fire … it didn’t burn that Bible.”
The fire was caused by hazardous wiring, according to the fire marshal’s office.
House is disabled. He launched a GoFundMe page to try and find another place to…

Christian Singer Natalie Grant Shares How Her Daughter Prayed Her Through a Panic Attack
Contemporary Christian singer Natalie Grant shared on Saturday, how her 11-year-old daughter praying over her during a panic attack revealed the power of faith and prayer.
Grant took to Facebook on Saturday to share the experience from earlier in the day.
According to CBN News, the singer was on a flight on her way home, when she had a panic attack, something she said she has not had in quite some time. She wrote, “I don’t exactly know what triggered it. Maybe the exhaustion of the last month of touring, going straight into Christmas, and I’m a little run down.”
“Then again, I was also extra sad to leave my parents this time,” she added.
Five minutes into the flight, Grant wrote that her panic attack was debilitating. She noted that she couldn’t breathe, and she couldn’t stop moving. She wrote, “I felt ridiculous. Embarrassed. Ashamed. And at that moment, my Gracie girl took my hand and said, ‘Jesus, right now we say no to fear and yes to truth. Because Jesus, you are greater than any fear.’”
Grant revealed that as her daughter prayed for her, she realized that she needed to “grab ahold” of her faith. She wrote, “And as she prayed, I made a decision to grab ahold of what I know, instead of wallow in what I felt. Faith isn’t a magic potion. It’s a choice. My 11-year old daughter helped me choose well,…

Christians Hospitalized after Terrifying Christmas Attacks in India
NEW DELHI, December 31, 2018 (Morning Star News) – Christians in India who previously experienced little or no opposition reported that Hindu extremists stoned, slashed and terrorized them this Christmas season.
At least 18 incidents against Christians were reported and verified during the Christmas season, according to the Religious Liberty Commission (RLC) of the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI). Of those incidents, 10 were reported from Uttar Pradesh state, three from Uttarakhand state, three from Tamil Nadu state and two from Maharashtra state.
“Both the frequency of the attacks and their intensity has increased in the past few years,” said the Rev. Vijayesh Lal, general secretary of the EFI and the national director of the RLC.
The worst attack took place in Kowad village, Kolhapur District in Maharashtra state, where masked men carrying sharp weapons attacked a Christmas gathering on Dec. 23. The bloody assault sent seven Christians to hospital intensive care, with three undergoing surgery.
Around 20 masked men barged into the Sunday worship service of the New Life Fellowship Church with swords, knives, iron rods, glass bottles, stones and other sharp objects and attacked the congregation meeting at the presbyter’s residence. Milton Norenj, coordinator of the New Life Fellowship Jadhinglaj, said the suspected Hindu extremists entered the service…
Open Heaven 1 January 2019 Tuesday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – I Will Do A New Thing
Topic: I Will Do A New Thing (Open Heaven 1 January 2019)
Memorise:“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”– Isaiah 43:19
Read: Isaiah 43:14-19 (KJV)
14 Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Bible in One Year: Matthew 1-3, Isaiah 1:1-17
Open Heaven 1 January 2019 Tuesday MESSAGE:
Welcome to a new year! The Almighty God says to you and me, “I will do a new thing.” How marvelous it is to begin the new year with this promise from our Father. These are not empty words! They are the declaration of the Creator of heaven and earth, the Sustainer and Redeemer of all things, who cannot lie. However, for you to partake of the informative power in this word sent from God, all you have to do is believe. Remember the words of our Lord Jesus Christ to the ruler of the synagogue in Luke 8:50b, saying:
“Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.”
Beloved, on this first day of the new year, God is telling a user of this devotional, “I will do something new about your spiritual life. Your spiritual status will change from being sinful to being holy. In this new year, you will no longer continue to live a life that saddens My heart, because I have decided to save your soul and cleanse you from all your impurities.” If this applies to you, you must take a bold step of faith like Zacchaeus did in Luke 19:1-10, by repenting of your sins and choosing to right your wrongs through the help and power of the Holy Spirit.
As a new year gift for all His faithful children, our Abba Father makes a promise in today’s Bible reading to do that which is humanly impossible. If you are numbered among His children, I congratulate you, but if you are not, the new thing promised by the Lord begins with the salvation of your soul. Do you know that everything required for your salvation has already been accomplished by the death of Jesus Christ at Calvary?
A new thing can mean different things to different people, depending on their current state. Have you been living in abject poverty in the past years? Do you work like an elephant but eat like an ant? Has your mortgage repeatedly failed or is your business crumbling under financial difficulties? Read 2 Corinthians 8:9 and believe what it says. For a user of this devotional to whom the enemies have said there is no way of escape, the Lord is saying you should not remember the former things nor consider the things of old. Why? It is because this year, that sickness that has devoured your finances shall not remain in your body. This year, the status of those who desire a godly and blissful marriage will change for the better, and those considered barren will experience fruitfulness. However, for you to partake of the new thing God has promised, you must heed His words to Martha in John 11:40:
“…Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”
In this new year, the One who brought forth water from the rock will bring forth the good desires of your heart in Jesus’ Name
Open Heaven 1 January 2019 Tuesday Prayer Point:
Father, I thank you for bringing me to the beginning of another year. Please fulfill your promise to do a new thing in my life, beginning from today, in Jesus’ Name.
Open Heaven 1 January 2019 Tuesday Hymn 1: There Shall Be Showers of Blessing
1 There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Saviour above.
Chorus:
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
2 There shall be showers of blessing—
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
3 There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord!
Grant to us now a refreshing;
Come, and now honor Thy Word.
4 There shall be showers of blessing;
O that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
5 There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry Launches Protest after Jordanian Spokeswoman Steps on Israeli Flag
Israel’s Foreign Ministry has issued a protest after a Jordanian spokeswoman was photographed stepping on the Israeli flag during a meeting in Amman.
The ministry said it was a “desecration” of the flag.
The ministry added that it “looks gravely upon the act of disrespect toward the Israeli flag committed by a minister in the Jordanian government in the engineers’ union building in Amman.”
The flag is painted on the floor of the headquarters of Jordan’s professional unions in Amman, according to Reuters. Jumana Ghunaimat, Jordan’s minister for media affairs and communications, walked over the painted flag Thursday on her way to a meeting with Jordanian Prime Minister Omar al Razzaz and union representatives.
The flag was reportedly painted on the building’s floor years ago to encourage people to step on it. It also has painted footprints printed across it.
The countries of Israel and Jordan have a peace agreement, but the two countries share a hostile relationship at times, according to reports.
Jordan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Qatarneh said Jordan respects the 1994 peace treaty and Ghunaimat entered a private building by its main entrance to attend the meeting.
Prime Minister Razzaz entered through a back door to avoid walking on the flag.
