Time Investment by David Ibiyeomie

Topic: Time Investment

When you don’t give answers to the questions of life, men will not respect you. If you must enjoy exploits in life, then you must invest TIME. Time is one of the greatest assets God gave to man.

When you spend time, you’re not really looking to get anything back. When you invest in something you expend resources, but you do so with an expectation of getting a good return. Investing your time means that you engage in activities which are calculated to bring you meaningful rewards.

Eph.5:15-16 – Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. {NIV}

You cannot do exploits in business if you cannot invest time in the area you want to do exploits in. Anything you have not invested time in is what you don’t have passion for.

Dan.2:16 – At this, Daniel went in to the king and asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream for him.

As a business man, there is a time you must separate yourself to find out how you can beat everyone competing with you. Many believers don’t invest time in the area they want to do exploits. Everybody has time but most people do not place their priorities right. You must create time that anything you have passion for.

A wise an said, ‘What you invest your time in defines who you are’. Warren Buffet also said, ‘The rich invest in TIME, the poor invest in money’.

If your business is important, you have to invest time to read books in that area of business. Time investment is very important. Consciously develop passion for what you are doing and then invest time to improve it.

Col.4:5 – Behave wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of your time.

To invest your time wisely, you must first identify your time traps. Track where your time goes to discover who and what is stealing your time without your permission. Keep a daily log for a few days of how much time you put into each activity in which you’re involved. Then analyze the information you’ve written to see how much time you’ve spent in unexpected ways, and how much time each activity really took. After you’ve looked at your activities, consider how you may be wasting time in unproductive things. Figure out how those differ from the ways you’d like to start using your time.

In time investment, avoid sleeping too much and time wasters. Successful men of exploits don’t sleep too much. From today, discipline yourself to do exploits. Take out time to read and improve your mind. Feed yourself with the word of God and you will do exploits in the name of Jesus –Amen!!!

God bless you

MFM Daily Devotional 27 September 2018 – Absolute Trust in God

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 27 September 2018 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Absolute Trust in God

TOPIC: Absolute Trust in God (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 27 September 2018)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalms 127:1-2

MEMORY VERSE: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.Philippians 4:6

The MESSAGE:

As believers, it is necessary we trust in God absolutely. However, it is a pain in the heart of God that some Christians put their trust in chariots and horses, perhaps because they do not fully know what God can do or because of the anxieties and cares of this world. More often than not, these type of believers are under the bondage of the enemy because satan knows that when a believer trusts in God absolutely, no matter his plans and evil devices, the believer will always overcome.

Beloved, satan wants to capture your sleep through faithlessness. When you begin to experience difficulty in falling asleep, lying awake all nights or waking unusually too early without a goal to accomplish, know that the devil is set to steal, kill and destroy your life. He starts this by withdrawing your sleep through worry, depression, self-hatred, bitterness, inferiority complex or acute anxiety. Daniel 3:17-18 is emphatic on this issue. The three Hebrew children declared fearlessly to king Nebuchadnezzar, “if it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us from thine hands O, King. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” Note that worry and fear do not win battles. Battles of life are only won by faith. Faith is the total and complete trust or confidence in what you belief in, while fear is a direct opposite of faith.

Why worry when you can pray? Jesus our perfect example and intercesssor is not dead: He is alive and is always ready to defend His name and power in our lives; only call Him in faith because without faith, it is impossible to please God. Remember Psalm 127:2 says, “God give His beloved sleep.” Good does not slumber so that you can sleep (Psalm 121). Note again that, until you sleep over an issue, God will not wake up on that case. Adam had to sleep for Eve to be brought out of him. That breakthrough you are hoping for will not show up until you learn to trust God completely and foolishly too. As this year progresses, resist worry and faithlessness if you must make progress. Do not quit trusting God. Hold on just a little while, your God will meet you at the very point of your need, and you will come out victorious, in Jesus’ name.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
UNTIL YOU, A BELIEVER, SLEEPS OVER AN ISSUE, GOD WILL NOT WAKE UP ON IT.

PROPHETIC WORD:
Afflictions shall not bury your faith.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING
1. Affliction of my father’s house calling my God a liar, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Persistent problems assigned to kill my faith, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. You spirit of fear and worry, depart from my life, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. Satanic fear, release me and let me go, in the name of Jesus.
5. Spirit of faithlessness, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Spirit of doubt and unbelief, release me and die, in the name of Jesus.
7. My inner man, resist discouragement, in the name of Jesus.

Our Daily Bread 27 September 2018 Devotional – When We’re Weary

Topic: When We’re Weary [Our Daily Bread 27 September 2018 Devotional]

Read: Galatians 6:1–10, Bible in a Year: Isaiah 3–4; Galatians 6

Let us not become weary in doing good. Galatians 6:9

Sometimes trying to do the right thing can be exhausting. We may wonder, Do my well-intentioned words and actions make any difference at all? I wondered this recently when I sent a prayerfully thought-out email meant to encourage a friend, only to have it met with an angry response. My immediate reaction was a mixture of hurt and anger. How could I be so misunderstood?

Before I responded out of anger, I remembered that we won’t always see the results (or the results we desire) when we tell someone about how Jesus loves them. When we do good things for others hoping to draw them to Him, they may spurn us. Our gentle efforts to prompt someone to right action may be ignored.

Galatians 6 is a good place to turn when we’re discouraged by someone’s response to our sincere efforts. Here the apostle Paul encourages us to consider our motives—to “test our actions”—for what we say and do (vv. 1–4). When we have done so, he encourages us to persevere: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people” (vv. 9–10).

God wants us to continue living for Him, which includes praying for and telling others about Him—“doing good.” He will see to the results.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for the encouragement we receive from Your Word. Help us to persevere in doing good.

We can leave the results of our lives in God’s hands.

Kenneth & Gloria Copeland 27 September 2018 – Spiritual Armor for Spiritual War

Topic: Spiritual Armor for Spiritual War [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland 27 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. – Ephesians 6:12

Unfortunately most of us don’t know the first thing about fighting the kind of war this scripture refers to. For, as Ephesians 6:10-12 says, it’s not a battle of flesh and blood, but of the spirit.

Most believers are so earthly minded (or carnally minded) that they never even realize where the enemy’s attacks are actually coming from. They blame circumstances and people, and they waste their energy fighting natural conditions instead of supernatural causes.

We need to wake up to the warfare that’s going on in the heavenly realm!

We can get a glimpse of it in Daniel 10:12-20. There, we find that Daniel had been fasting and praying for 21 days, awaiting a word from the Lord. Then an angel appeared to him with the answer. What took him so long? He was fighting the enemy in the heavens.

That confuses some people. They say, “Devils fighting in heaven? I thought God reigned in heaven!” What they don’t understand is that the Bible teaches there are three different areas called heaven:

1. The heaven where God resides

2. The stellar heavens (what we call “outer space”)

3. The heavens around this earth (the atmosphere surrounding this planet)

This last heaven is where spiritual war takes place. (That’s why Ephesians 2:2 calls Satan “the prince of the power of the air.”) “The air” is where wicked spirits operate. From there, they attempt to rule the nations to which they’ve been assigned.

And rule them they will unless the prayers of God’s people keep them from it.

God has an army marching in this land. If we band together, we can prevent the wickedness in high places from ruling our nation. The time has come for us, as believers, to pray as believers. So, put on your full armor and take your place in the ranks of the faithful in intercession for our country and the nations of the world!

Seeds of Destiny 27 September 2018: The Holy Spirit – The Sponsor of Righteousness

Topic: The Holy Spirit – The Sponsor of Righteousness [Seeds of Destiny 27 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

Scripture: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Mathew 5:14-16

Thought For The Day: The Holy Ghost is the secret of upright living.

Character is of capital value in life and destiny. One’s character determines the degree of influence one can command in one’s generation.

A Christian is meant to be a standard bearer, a road pointer, or a pace-setter for his or her generation. We were designed by God to show the rest of the world how to live. We are meant to colonize the world in excellence by our standards. The reason why our world is degenerating today is because most Christians do not operate by set Divine standards.

Now, it is very important to know that the Holy Ghost is the secret of upright living. The question is, how does the Holy Spirit help us to maintain an upright character in a degenerating world?

The Holy Ghost is the sponsor of righteousness (Romans 14:17). The Holy Ghost gives you peace, and supplies you joy and righteousness.

So, anyone who knows how to fellowship with the Holy Spirit by praying in tongues abundantly is a person whose character will be continuously moulded, enhanced and refined.

The Holy Spirit opens our eyes to insights from Scripture that can kill any unholy nature in us.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of liberty and transformation (2 Corinthians 3:17). That is, where the Spirit of the Lord is, you are not permitted to be bound by sin. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, the bondage of sin is broken.

By the power of the Holy Ghost, I decree that the siege of every negative habit over your life is broken in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: The Holy Ghost is the secret of upright living.

Assignments:
1. Pray in the Holy Ghost abundantly and consistently.
2. Avoid anything that will defile your conscience.

Prayer: O LORD, fill me with the Power of the Holy Spirit. Help me to maintain a positive character and make me a standard bearer in my generation, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna 27 September 2018 – Unclean Priests

Topic: Unclean Priests [DCLM Daily Manna 27 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

Text: Numbers 19:1-10 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even (Numbers 19:7).

MESSAGE:

Corrie Ten Boom was once quoted to have said, “Look around and be distressed, look inside and be depressed, look at Jesus and be at rest.” Her quotation adequately depicts the situation of man and sin.

Israel had sinned in the wilderness and many of the people had died as a result. The mass death meant people had to make physical contact with the corpses, which made them unclean. God, in this passage, outlined the processes whereby uncleanness would be easily removed. It is interesting to note that the priests who carried out the procedure, became unclean, but only for one day, because they had performed an act of purification without the camp. Here comes the challenge. The pollution affects the people as well as the priest.

In the process of preparing the water of purification, the priest himself became unclean. The priest needed cleansing just like the men and women he sought to help. What a great contrast the human priest was to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only One untainted by sin. He was not affected by the pollution of sin; though He was tempted in every way, yet He sinned not.

As you step out today, stop struggling in your own power. Your human efforts will amount to much labour without any success. Cast all your burdens on the Lord and He will sustain you. His grace is sufficient for you today, to make you remain clean and perfect even as the Lord, your God is perfect.

Thought For The Day: God’s grace makes the unclean to become clean.

TREM 27 September 2018 Daily Devotional – Fasting Is Not Old Fashioned

Topic: Fasting Is Not Old Fashioned [TREM 27 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

“Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.” – Matthew 6:16 (KJV)

Many people are coming up with a theology to cancel fasting just because they do not want to discipline the body. Beloved, discipline is a part of the Christian life. You cannot pray or wish it away. One thing God will not do for you is to help you discipline the flesh. It is your responsibility and you must do it. Fasting is not an Old Testament injunction; Fasting does not change God. Fasting only positions you to receive from God.

In our reading today, Jesus said categorically “WHEN YE FAST..” Not “IF”. Fasting is not about “if” it is about “when”. Fasting is a discipline every believer must undergo periodically. Don’t wait until a corporate fast is declared; find time to fast. Have a day you and your family have set aside to seek the face of God. Don’t fast only when you have a challenge and you need God’s immediate intervention; make fasting a lifestyle. Be consistent in fasting.

I hear some people say they live a fasted life, and I wonder what they mean. Are you saying you fast 365 days a year? Even Jesus did not fast 365 days in the year. Don’t deceive yourself and don’t set unrealistic goals. You can take a day of the week, a day in the month or any time convenient for you to seek the face of God in fasting and prayer.

Still in our scripture for today, Jesus warns about hypocrisy in fasting. Except for corporate fasting when everyone knows it is a period of fast for the organization, ministry or family, don’t wear a long face because you are fasting. The fact that you are fasting does not mean you should not take good care of yourself, observe all personal hygiene and look nice. It is not about how you look, it is about setting timeout to seek the face of God.

Andrew Wommack 27 September 2018 Daily Devotional – Hypocrisy is an Attitude

Topic: Hypocrisy is an Attitude [Andrew Wommack 27 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

Matthew 23:12 “And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

He who thinks that he will be exalted by acting as a servant, pretending to be humble so that he will receive the promise of God’s Word, is sadly mistaken. Hypocrisy is an attitude or motive.

There are two main types of hypocrisy: 1) People don’t practice what they preach. 2) People’s motives are wrong even though their actions are right.

The second type of hypocrisy is why Jesus rebuked the scribes and Pharisees.

It is more subtle than the first type and is very prevalent today in religion. They were seeking self-glory instead of seeking to glorify God.

Their priorities are wrong, and their focus is on outward displays instead of on the inner condition of their heart. Furthermore, they always persecute the true worshipers of God.

Universally, people dislike blatant hypocrisy; although this subtle type of hypocrisy has been encouraged and even promoted by religion. Religion teaches tithing and giving for selfish motives while 1 Corinthians 13:3 and 2 Corinthians 9:7, make it clear that giving will profit us nothing unless we have the proper motive. The same thing happens when people try to achieve holiness by performing many other religious acts. It is not always the acts that are wrong, but the motives behind the acts. These wrong motives can also make you a hypocrite.

Anyone who rejects salvation because he doesn’t like religious hypocrites, should remember that if he doesn’t receive Jesus as his Lord, then he will spend eternity with these hypocrites in Hell.

Billy Graham 27 September 2018 — The Holy Spirit

Topic: The Holy Spirit [Billy Graham Daily Devotional 27 September 2018]

Your body is the home of the Holy Spirit . . . — 1 Corinthians 6:19 (TLB)

Who is the Holy Spirit? He is God, just as God the Father and God the Son are also God. We speak of them as the Trinity. You ask me to explain the Trinity. Our minds can but dimly grasp these great spiritual facts, because we are finite and God is infinite.

It may help to remember that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit have all existed from eternity. The work of creation was given to the Son and we are told that, “All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made.” But when you read the second verse of the first chapter of Genesis, you will find that the Holy Spirit was also there, moving upon the face of His creation. In time, the Son of God came into the world as a man, to redeem the world which He had created. After His death on the cross, and His resurrection, He went back to the Father in heaven.

During His earthly ministry His work and life were spent within a circumscribed area in Palestine. When He went back to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to exercise a worldwide ministry. Today the Holy Spirit illuminates the minds of people, makes us yearn for God, and takes spiritual truth and makes it understandable to us. All over the world the Holy Spirit is wooing men to Christ, and He lives in the hearts of believers and helps us each day. To be Spirit-filled Christians is to be the kind of Christians that God wants us to be.

Prayer for the day: The knowledge of Your Holy Spirit living in my heart gives me comfort and strength, Lord Jesus.

UK’s NHS Sued for Not Offering Fertility Treatments to Transgender Individuals Pre-Transition – Urban Christian News

The National Health Service in Britain is being sued for failing to offer trans-identified persons access to fertility treatments, as was threatened last month.

The equality watchdog in the British government, The Equality and Human Rights Commission, is taking the national health care system to court for not offering fertility treatments to trans-identified patients prior to undergoing hormone treatments and surgical transitions that render them sterile, the Guardian reported.

Some are choosing to transition at a younger age and thus do not have the resources to pay for fertility services, which include storing eggs and sperm. The EHRC argues that it is discriminatory to not offer these services as a standard procedure to trans-identified individuals, who may opt to have children later in life through surrogates.

The NHS says it is not responsible for ensuring fertility treatments for anyone, trans-identified or otherwise.

Rebecca Hilsenrath, chief executive of the EHRC, indicated the lawsuit would continue.

“We are proceeding with our judicial review claim and will remain in discussions with NHS England about the need to ensure the transgender community can access health services free from discrimination, and that individuals do not have to choose between treatment for gender dysphoria and the chance to start a family,” she said.

The watchdog group further argues that gender dysphoria falls within NHS England’s “specialized commissioning remit,” which guarantees appropriate treatment to those with complex conditions.

When the NHS received the letter from the EHRC…
