Andrew Wommack’s Devotional 4 June 2018 – One Hundred Times Zero

Topic: One Hundred Times Zero [Andrew Wommack Monday June 4, 2018]

Matthew 17:27 “Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money; that take, and give unto them for me and thee.”

Text: Matthew 17:24-27

This was quite a miracle. Not only was the money supplied for their taxes, but it was the exact amount needed, and it was from the first fish that was caught.

Although this sets the precedent that God can supply our needs in a miraculous way, it’s important to remember that God doesn’t counterfeit money. He didn’t create money in the fish, but rather he had the fish miraculously find and swallow the exact Roman coin that Peter needed. It’s a mistake to just pray and then wait on God to rain the money down from heaven.

As Luke 6:38 says, God uses men (and sometimes fish) to give finances to us. He can do it in a very unexpected, supernatural way but it will involve people and existing currency. We need to believe the Lord hears and answers our prayers and then pray for the people He’s going to use to deliver the answer. This could be our employer, the person who buys our goods, or any number of people.

The Lord also blesses what we set our hands to do. When in need, we should seek God’s direction for something to set our hands to and then trust Him to bless it and multiply the results of our work. But one hundred times zero is zero. Many people have missed their miracle because they never took that first step of faith and used what they had. God can give you a creative idea today that will bless you and make you a blessing to others. Seek and you will find.

Billy Graham Devotional 4 June 2018 – Salvation Through Trust

Topic: Salvation Through Trust [Billy Graham’s Devotional Monday June 4, 2018]

Thus did Noah according to all that God commanded him . . . — Genesis 6:22

One day God spoke to Noah about the wickedness of the human race. The actions of men and women grieved Him to the heart. God said that He intended to send a flood that would destroy mankind, and He told Noah to build an ark to save his household and the animals. The Bible says that Noah believed God. Now Noah had never seen a flood. He had never seen a 40-day rain. He had no weather map, no satellite photograph or meteorologist to tell him that a big storm was coming. All he had to go on was the Word of God. But when the flood came, Noah was spared and saved with his family, and the rest of the generation was swept away. Noah was saved because he put his trust in God. The days of Noah are returning to earth, and a catastrophe as great as the flood awaits those who refuse to enter into the ark of salvation, which is Jesus Christ.

Prayer for the day: Forgive me, Father—so often I question, when I should be trusting You, like Noah.

‘Palau The Movie’ to Tell Life Story of One of the Greatest Living Evangelists of Our Time

(Photo: Facebook)“Palau The Movie” in theaters in Spain, South and North American, October 2018.

“Palau the Movie” is gearing up for an October release and the autobiographical film will journey through well-renouned evangelist Luis Palau’s life, who was discovered as a strong tempered young street preacher that would impact the world for Jesus.

Shot in Argentina, “Palau the Movie” will tell the beloved evangelist’s full story. As seen in the trailer the movie will begin with a young Palau who loses his father and then has to help out his poor family. He would eventually be inspired by the late Billy Graham, which would help him to get into ministry. The film also shows some of the trials he faced as a street preacher turned a faith leader in this generation.

During a recent interview with the Christian Post, Palau’s son, Andrew, described a scene in the film where Palau is seen listening to Graham over the radio and the power and authority in his voice served as confirmation for Palau about his own call to God.

“Mr. Graham gave him that vision or that confirmation by the Spirit from a distance and then later by God’s grace, Mr. Graham gave him some advice and some help that was critical along the way,” Andrew explained.

The movie began filming shortly before Palau made…

Our Daily Bread Devotional 4 June 2018 – Open My Eyes

Topic: Open My Eyes [Our Daily Bread 4 Monday June, 2018]

Read: John 14:23–31, Bible in a Year: 2 Chronicles 21–22; John 14

The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things. John 14:26

The first time I went to the gorgeous Chora Church in Istanbul, I was able to figure out some Bible stories from the Byzantine frescos and mosaics on the ceiling. But there was much I missed. The second time, however, I had a guide. He pointed to all the details I had previously missed, and suddenly everything made perfect sense! The first aisle, for instance, depicted the life of Jesus as recorded in the gospel of Luke.

Sometimes when we read the Bible we understand the basic stories, but what about the connections—those details that weave Scripture into the one perfect story? We have Bible commentaries and study tools, yes, but we also need a guide—someone to open our eyes and help us see the wonders of God’s written revelation. Our guide is the Holy Spirit who teaches us “all things” (John 14:26). Paul wrote that He explains “spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words” (1 Corinthians 2:13).

How wonderful to have the Author of the Book to show us the wonders of it! God has not only given us His written Word and His revelation but He also helps us to understand it and learn from it. So let us pray with the psalmist, saying, “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law” (Psalm 119:18).

Prayer: Dear Lord, as I read Your Word, open my eyes that I may discover the wonders of Your revelation.

We need God in order to understand Scripture.

Kenneth & Gloria Copeland Devotional 4 June 2018 – Strength Made Perfect

Topic: Strength Made Perfect [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Monday June 4, 2018]

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. – 2 Corinthians 12:9

When you run into an impossible situation, a situation you simply don’t have the strength or the ability to handle, are you often tempted to simply give up and accept defeat? Don’t! Instead shout, “Glory!” because the Word says God’s strength is about to be made perfect in you.

The word translated “strength” in this scripture is dunamis. It means “God’s miracle-working power.” Just think about that. When your human strength ends, God has promised that His miraculous power will bring you through!

If you’ll look in Acts 14, you can see that promise in action. The Apostle Paul was stoned by a group of Jews, taken out of the city and left for dead. Paul’s human strength had ended. He was absolutely powerless.

But the disciples gathered around him and prayed, the Lord raised him up, and he went on his way. In other words, when Paul didn’t have enough human strength to overcome, God’s miracle-working power was sufficient for him. It enabled him to be an overcomer in spite of his weakness!

So, if you are facing a crisis today—

If you’re sick and medicine has failed you—

If your finances are out of control—

If your family is falling apart—

If bad habits have you hopelessly bound—

If you’ve done absolutely all you know to do and you still haven’t gotten results—

Then rejoice! For when human strength ends, the power of God excels!

Only believe!

God’s grace is sufficient for you!

Seeds of Destiny 4 June 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Secrets Of Generational Impact

Topic: The Secrets Of Generational Impact [Seeds of Destiny Monday June 4, 2018]

Scripture: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. – Matthew 5:14.

Thought For The Day: Being interested in the interests of God attracts the Blessing of God for generational impact.

Our God is a God of light in whose Presence no darkness can survive. We are God’s children, endowed with His likeness, so we are to exist as light to our world. Anchor Scripture corroborates the fact that children of God have been designed by God to be illuminators of their generation. That is, they are to exist as light bearers, road pointers, eye openers, front liners, change agents, history makers and world shakers to their generations; they are to live as generational impacters.

Generational impacters are carriers of light that dissipates darkness. They show people the right path to follow. The world is meant to be discipled and disciplined by the character, results and impact of the children of God. The destiny of the children of God is to exist as compasses to their generation.

What then are the secrets of making generational Impact?

1) The God-first Mentality
The God-first mentality is the mentality that makes God the number one priority of one’s existence; the mentality that places kingdom priority ahead of personal priorities. Being interested in the interests of God attracts the Blessings of God for generational impact (2Chronicles 26:5).

2. Vision for Generational Impact
Vision is a mental picture of a preferred future. The vision for generational impact is the brutal decision that your generation must feel your presence and notice your absence. That is, you come to a point where you make up your mind that anywhere you find yourself per-time – be it your family, office, community, city or nation; you would add value and worth to the people around you. Having and pursuing a vision is a secret of the future (Genesis 13:14-15).

3) Full Potential Release
Potentials determine possibilities. The decision to fully deploy your potentials to the benefit of your generation is key to making generational impact. God expects us to release all that He has deposited in us to our generation.

Beloved, decide to impact your generation by following the outlined steps above.

Remember this: Being interested in the interests of God attracts the Blessing of God for generational impact.

Assignments:
1. Make up your mind to be a person of generational impact.
2. Pay attention to and put into practice all the secrets outlined above.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask that You make me a generational impacter. Help me to pay the price and accept the responsibilities for greatness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna 4 June, 2018 by Pastor Kumuyi – Behold, He Cometh!

Topic: Behold, He Cometh! [DCLM Daily Manna Monday June 4, 2018]

Text: Revelation 1:3-11 (KJV)

Key Verse: ‘Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen” (Revelation 1:7).

MESSAGE:

Time, our most valued life asset, is the least under our control. Our time is knotted with our life and our life tied unto our breadth. With uncertainties surrounding life and with the inevitability of death, man’s life can cease at any second, without prior notice to him.

John, the beloved, described Jesus as He who is, which was and which is to come, the Faithful Witness, the first Begotten of the dead and the Prince of the kings of the earth. He loved us, washed us from our sins in His own blood and made us kings and priests unto God. John further warns us “Behold, he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him…” (Revelation 1:7).

The Scriptures speak about events that will herald the end of the world, which will begin with the rapture of the saints. Before this event, there will be religious deception, widespread backsliding and apostasy; mishaps such as frequent occurrence of land and underwater earthquakes in many nations, killing and maiming great numbers of people and causing colossal material damage. Then, there will be global and civil wars.

The rapture is the event that will precede the Second Coming of Christ when Jesus will come to live on earth as He did the first time, to be seen by every eye, to fulfil a definite part of God’s timetable for the world. The two events are distinct and separated by seven years. The rapture will happen suddenly (1 Corinthians 15:51,52). Not all Christians will be caught up to be with Christ in the sky. Careless believers and nominal Churchgoers will definitely not make it. Moreover, the rapture has no fixed time or date. No one knows the departure time except God. The event is next in the prophecies of the last days. You have to repent of sin and daily live righteously to be ready for the rapture of the saints.

Thought For The Day: The world totters towards the brink as the coming of the Lord looms.

Here’s How That Money Is Spent

(Photo: Lakewood Church)Joel Osteen preaches at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas in April 2017.

Pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas has an annual budget of around $90 million, and their last fiscal year’s financial statement reveals how they use the money.

During the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2017, the megachurch spent $31.7 million on its weekly services and programs, according to Houston Chronicle, which further says $6.7 million was spent on the church’s Night of Hope events, and $25.1 million on its television ministry.

For general and administrative expenses, the church used $11.5 million, and another $11.9 million for fundraising. And the remaining $1.2 million was spent on mission and outreach.

Lakewood is America’s largest church, attended by about 50,000 people a week at the former Compaq Center where the NBA Rockets once played, the Chronicle notes in another article. The broadcasts of its services…

Open Heavens 4 June 2018 – Know Your Rights In God

Topic: Know Your Rights In God [Open Heavens 4th June 2018, Monday Daily Devotional]

Memorise: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:Ephesians 2:6

Read: Acts 27:18-25 (KJV)

18 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;

19 And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship.

20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.

21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship.

23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

Bible in One Year: 1 Kings 16-17, Acts 5:22-42

MESSAGE:

Many children of God are genuine in their Christian walk, but they do not know their rights in God. For this reason, they unfortunately still live at the mercy of the enemy. A classical example of someone who knew his position in God is Elijah. How I wish all children of God would be just like Elijah in this regard. I tell you beloved, if this were the case, the whole world would have been won into the kingdom of God by now. When confronted by a group of soldiers ordered by the king to terminate his ministry, Prophet Elijah in 2 Kings 1:10 simply decreed:

“…If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty…”

Exactly what Elijah decreed was what happened, and this happened twice before the third group of soldiers learnt their lesson. The move of God is not found in the multitude of words or in vain repetitions but in the power of the Holy Ghost. However, you cannot walk in this realm without knowing who you are in Christ.

Based on today’s Bible text, I have often taught my children that Paul had some credit in his account with God, and so for his sake lives were saved from physical perdition. Having given his all to Christ, he was conscious of the credit he had with Him. For this reason, when he suffered shipwreck with a host of other prisoners, crew and soldiers, he prayed that God should spare their lives. He even encouraged them to eat because God had spoken with him, assuring him of the safety of every life in the ship. Many lessons can be derived from this, the profound of these being that Paul knew his position in Christ. In other words, he understood his rights in Christ.

Do you know your position in Christ? Are you aware of your kingdom rights? Can you gauge your credit balance with God? The knowledge of your current standing with God will cause you to improve your relationship with Him in order to appropriate benefits of life in Christ. When you do this, I can assure you that you will no longer find yourself living at the mercy of the devil and circumstances again.

Action Point: Examine yourself to see how much credit you have with God. Endeavour to increase your credit with Him so that you can always have something to draw from in the days of adversity.

Hymn 16: Stand Up! Stand Up For Jesus

1. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the Cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss.
From vict’ry unto vict’ry
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished
And Christ is Lord indeed.

2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
The trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict
In this His glorious day!
Ye that are men, now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger,
And strength to strength oppose.

3. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone:
The arm of flesh will fail you;
Ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the Gospel armour,
And watching unto prayer,
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there.

4. Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song
To him that overcometh
A crown of life shall be;
He, with the King of Glory
Shall reign eternally.
