Topic: Be Truly Rooted [Teens Open Heavens 3, May 2018]

MESSAGE:

The devil is always out to dish out evil to people, and we are to be ever ready to attack him when he comes. However, before taking on the devil, be sure of your salvation. The salvation of many today is questionable. Many are pretenders, and have never really accepted Jesus Christ into their lives.

How would you know if you are truly saved? It is by assessing the change that your salvation has brought to your life. Whenever a person gets truly saved, the Holy Spirit baptizes such a person and begins to dwell in the heart of that fellow. His presence brings about a drastic change for better in the life of that individual such that, people who used to know that individual will notice the positive changes. A truly saved person will also hunger and thirst for the true Word of God, and will start to read his/her Bible in order know as much as possible about Jesus Christ. The time spent searching the Word of God and listening to sermons that will build up your faith will enable you to be truly rooted in the Word of God. Are you truly rooted?

Action Point: Check your life to see if there are any changes to show that you are truly saved. If not, earnestly pray to God and ask Him to save you genuinely and reveal Himself to you.

Topic: Destiny Capsules For Destiny Fulfilment [Seeds of Destiny Thursday May 3, 2018]

Scripture: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. – Proverbs 4:20-22

Thought For The Day: It takes a serious approach to life to have a serious outcome in life.

Yesterday, we saw that there are responsibilities a person must take in order to have a buoyant destiny.

Today, I will like to add that, there are destiny capsules a person must take in in order to have and fulfil a buoyant destiny on earth.

It has been confirmed that in the physical realm, there are capsules for healthy living. Also, in the spiritual realm, there are destiny capsules that are critical to having and maintaining a healthy, buoyant and spiritual state of life and destiny.

Now, I will give you twenty of them:
1) Your Root: Your root in God determines your place in life.
2) Your Environment: Your environment affects your attainment.
3) Release of the Past: If you cannot release the negative past, then you cannot access the positive future.
4) Learning: To reach your destiny, you must keep on learning.
5) Your Intake: Your intake determines your welfare in life.
6) Contribution: Your contribution affects your destination.
7) Direction: Direction determines destiny.
8) Investment of time: Investment into time equals fulfilment of destiny.
9) Conviction: Your conviction determines your conclusion in life.
10) Character: Your character affects your destiny.
11) Approach: It takes a serious approach to life to have a serious outcome in life.
12) Consciousness of the End: To end well, you must have the end in mind.
13) Thought: Your thought determines your result.
14) Consistency of Progress: Until progress is consistent, destiny is not guaranteed.
15) Focus: It takes focus to have a future.
16) Lifestyle: How you live determines how you end.
17) Priority: Your priority determines your destiny.
18) Your Mood: The future is never guarantee for the depressed and frustrated.
19) Distinctiveness: To be distinct is to fulfil destiny.
20) A Healthy Conscience: To have a healthy conscience and respect it is to attain your destiny.

Beloved, my counsel is, make up your mind to have a healthy and buoyant destiny by embracing the responsibilities from each of the points listed above.

Remember this: It takes a serious approach to life to have a serious outcome in life.

Assignments:
1. Go through today’s message once again.
2. Draw out action points from each of the capsules and take responsibilities.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask for the grace to take responsibilities in life in order to have a buoyant destiny, in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Can He Count on You? [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Thursday May 3, 2018]

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? – Luke 12:42

We often praise God for His faithfulness. We’re thankful that we can always count on Him to be there for us. But we rarely consider the fact that He needs us to be faithful too.

It’s true. God needs people He can count on. He needs faithful and wise stewards He can trust over His household. In this final hour, He needs faithful believers to team up with, so He can manifest Himself in the earth more than ever before.

“Oh Gloria, God doesn’t need me!”

Yes, He does. Ever since the Creation, when He gave man dominion over the earth, He’s needed people to work with Him to get His will done here. You can see that all through the Bible. When the children of Israel were in bondage in Egypt and He wanted to lead them out, He teamed up with a man, Moses, to get the job done. Moses’ responsibility was to stretch out his hand in the earth and command the will of God to be done.

Why did He choose Moses? Because He needed someone who was faithful and would dare to act on His Word. He needed someone He could count on, and He knew Moses was that kind of man.

Psalm 103:7 says, “He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” If Moses hadn’t been faithful to know God’s ways, the children of Israel would never have seen God’s acts!

God needs you just as He needed Moses. He needs you to be faithful and alert to spiritual things. He needs you to be someone He can trust to know His Word and be obedient to it. He needs you to be a steward who will stretch out his hand like Moses did so that He can perform signs and wonders before the people.

Will you be faithful? It’s a decision you have to make. No one can do it for you. Right now, commit yourself to be that wise and faithful servant. Say in your heart and with your mouth, “God, You can count on me.”

Topic: A Change in Perspective [Our Daily Bread 3 Thursday May, 2018]

Read: Psalm 73:12–28, Bible in a Year: 1 Kings 14–15; Luke 22:21–46

It troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God. Psalm 73:16–17

My hometown had experienced its heaviest winter in thirty years. My muscles ached from hours of shoveling the unrelenting snow. When I stepped inside after what felt like a fruitless effort, weary as I kicked off my boots, I was greeted by the warmth of a fire and my children gathered around it. As I gazed out the window from the shelter of my home, my perspective of the weather shifted completely. Instead of seeing more work to do, I savored the beauty of frosted tree branches and the way the snow blanketed the colorless landscape of winter.

I see a similar, but much more poignant, shift in Asaph when I read his words in Psalm 73. In the beginning, he laments the way the world seems to work, how wrongs seem to be rewarded. He doubts the value of being different than the crowd and living for the good of others (v. 13). But when he enters the sanctuary of God, his outlook changes (vv. 16–17): he remembers that God will deal with the world and its troubles perfectly and, more importantly, that it is good to be with God (v. 28).

When we’re chilled by the seemingly ceaseless problems in our world, we can enter God’s sanctuary in prayer and be warmed through by the life-altering, perspective-changing truth that His judgment is better than ours. Though our circumstances may not change, our perspective can.

Prayer: Lord, I admit I quickly become frustrated with the way things appear. Help me to see the way You do.

God gives us the right perspective.

Insight:

In Psalm 37 David addresses the same perplexing issue Asaph writes about in Psalm 73—the wicked prosper while the godly suffer unjustly. David tells those who suffer unjustly not to fret or be envious, for God is just and will one day make all things right (Psalm 37:7–11, 35–38). Instead, those who fear the Lord are to rest fully in God and to continue to live holy lives (vv. 3–6). For the Lord “will not forsake his faithful ones” (v. 28).

Topic: Jesus Meets All Our Needs [Andrew Wommack Thursday May 3, 2018]

Matthew 14:16, “But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.”

Text: Matthew 14:15-18

The disciples were using natural reasoning and recognized that they didn’t have the ability to minister to the multitude’s need for food. Jesus did have the ability and the willingness to minister to their needs, so the multitude did not need to depart. All of their needs could be met through Jesus.

The same thing is true today. Some disciples today are sending the multitudes to the world to meet their physical needs (finances, health, counseling, etc.) and proclaiming that God only meets spiritual needs. But, “they need not depart.” The Lord is willing and able to heal our bodies, prosper us financially, or counsel us from His Word in any area of our life where we might have need.

Before we can be a blessing, we have to be blessed (Gen. 12:2). One of the purposes of God’s prosperity in our lives is so that we can be a blessing to others. The Scriptures instruct us to walk in God’s love towards all men, believers and non-believers alike. Jesus told us to love our enemies (Mt. 5:44). In Galatians 6:10 Paul places a priority on helping fellow Christians. This does not diminish our responsibility to show God’s love to non-believers. Instead, Paul is simply saying “charity must start at home.” It would be hypocritical to step over hurting brothers and sisters in the Lord to find unbelievers to minister to.

God didn’t just give us something that He had; He gave Himself. And what was God’s motive for giving? It wasn’t because of His need, but ours. He was motivated out of love for us (Jn. 3:16). In the same way, we should be encouraged to give unselfishly of ourselves. Pray for Divine appointments, to be used of God to touch someone’s life today.

We live like a little ant on this little speck of dust out in space. We get a Ph.D. degree and we strut across the stage and say, “Well, I don’t know whether or not there is a God.” And we can’t even control ourselves. We can’t even keep from blowing ourselves apart. We can’t even keep from manufacturing nuclear weapons that could destroy the world. We can’t even keep from hating each other, and fighting with each other, and killing each other. We can’t even keep from stealing from each other. We can’t even keep from dying, because all of us are going to die. No wonder the Bible says, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God,” because a man that would deny the existence of God is a fool.

Prayer for the day: Almighty God, help me to live in such a way, that when I tell others of Your existence, they will be drawn to acknowledge and receive You.
