A documentary that makes a scientific case for a historical, six-day creation will be shown again in movie theaters nationwide Thursday, with extra footage highlighting the pushback it has received even from within the Christian community.

The film, “Is Genesis History?” by Thomas Purifoy with host Del Tackett, former senior vice president of Focus on the Family, will be re-released in over 850 theaters nationwide, a year after it came out. The documentary has continued to gain momentum, is back in theaters by popular demand, and is now available in alternate formats.

This time around, however, bonus material has been added featuring Wheaton College students touring Answers in Genesis’ Ark Encounter in Kentucky with Tackett following a controversy that erupted on their campus about the theology of Creation soon after the film was screened there. While not a salvation issue, abandoning a six-day creation account described by a plain reading of Genesis and adopting belief in what is known as theistic evolution — the contention God set in motion an evolutionary process that resulted in the world as we know it over many millions of years — amounts to an affront on God’s…

The Unlikely Brotherhood of Oral Roberts and Billy Graham

Billy Graham brought the hope of Jesus Christ to millions around the world, and this dedication to spreading the gospel made him the most iconic and effective evangelist in modern times. Oral Roberts University was honored to welcome Rev. Graham to dedicate our campus in 1967, and his exhortation to put God first in all we do still lives on in the hearts of this community:

“…If this institution ever moves away from faith in the Bible and faith in God and putting God first, then let us this day…

Former North Korean ‘Cheerleader’ Shares about the Purpose of the North Korean ‘Army of Beauties’

Even at the Olympics, sometimes the biggest stories happen on the sidelines. In this year’s Olympics, one of these stories centers around the team of North Korean cheerleaders that dominate the sidelines of events during North Korean competitions.

As CNN explains, these “cheerleaders” are a part of a “large delegation” sent by the North Korean government to the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. Although not technically “cheerleaders,” this group of 200 young women is attending the games to sing and dance in celebration of the 22 North Korean athletes and their nation. These women are also referred to as an “army of beauties.”

One former North Korean cheerleader who defected several years ago, recently spoke with the BBC about this army. In her interview, Han Seo-Hee explained that these women are “not just there to cheer” but also to “go into the heart of the enemy” by promoting North Korean values. They’re trained to remember their supreme leader, Kim Jong Un, and act for his honor while also resisting the novelties of South Korean culture.

As Han Seo-Hee mentions, these women likely see South Korea as a wonderful fantasy world, basing their view on TV dramas. To ensure against the lure of this exciting new place, these women were “vetted and trained” before the trip to make sure they would not escape during…

At My Lowest Moment, Billy Graham Visited Me in Prison

Today, I was awakened by the sad news that the man who has preached, in person, to more people and won more souls to Jesus Christ than any other man, has died.

My friend, Billy Graham, and a friend to millions, has gone to be with the Lord today.

Billy Graham was born in 1918 and has left this earth today, February 21st 2018. The year he was born ends with an eight – a number that means a new beginning. Surely, Billy Graham’s birth was a new beginning for the world as he would lead millions to…

Famed evangelist the Rev. Billy Graham passed away from natural causes this morning at his home in North Carolina. He was undoubtedly one of the most influential people, and certainly Christian figures, of all time.

He influence extended around the globe and his platform allowed him to meet with world leaders from American presidents to Martin Luther King Jr. to Queen Elizabeth II.

But at the heart of his ministry was his passion for the Gospel and his commitment to spreading this Good News around the world. He was known as “America’s pastor.”

MercyMe’s Bart Millard Shares Personal Moment With Billy Graham That Brought Evangelist to Tears

(Photo: BGEA)Billy Graham prays, 1968

Billy Graham passed away peacefully Wednesday at his home in Montreat, North Carolina, and as many took to social media with farewell messages honoring the world renowned evangelist, MercyMe frontman Bart Millard shared a personal experience with Graham that really impacted him.

“I loved Dr. Billy Graham so much,” Millard wrote on Instagram. “Of all the amazing things Dr Billy Graham has done for the kingdom of God, nothing will resonate more with me than that single moment.”

The moment took place during one of Graham’s last evangelistic crusades. MercyMe was scheduled to perform at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, but a week before the 2004 crusade, Millard’s 2-year-old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Graham’s people supported Millard’s decision to stay home with his son.

“Then we got a call back asking if I’d be willing to have a plane fly to Texas and get me because Dr Graham wanted to ‘hug my neck and pray for my son.’ I looked at my wife who said ‘You’ve got to go!’ So off I went,” Millard recalled.

When he and the band were near the stage during the event in Pasadena, Graham came up to them, shook their hands and “then placed his hand on the back of my neck, pulled me close and started praying over my son’s life.”

“I…
