Topic: Hold Fast The Profession Of Your Faith [TREM’s Daily Saturday February 3, 2018]

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;” Hebrews 10:23 KJV

You are the offspring of a Holy God and so you are holy. Don’t try to be. You are already made holy by a Holy God who is your Father and your source. Your Father is holy, in other words, you will naturally exhibit holiness when you take your position. Tomatoes produce tomatoes. It will be abnormal for tomatoes to produce onions because the seed of onions is not in tomatoes.

Colossians 2:7 encourages us to be rooted and built up in Him. In other words, wake up every day and begin to thank him for your position. That widow woman began to run over the entire place. The dead child was in the house but she began to declare what she believed. She declared: It is well with me! She refused to open her mouth to declare what the devil wanted her to declare.  When you declare your faith, things will change! If believers can only learn to speak the way they ought to, some of the things they are going through will come to an end instantly.

Your positioning is powerful. God gave it to you and you must not let it go no matter what is surrounding you. It is your positioning that will change your circumstance. Your positioning has the capacity to change your condition so you declare it daily over your life. The more you say it the more it becomes real.

Topic: A Lifting Up For God’s People [Seeds of Destiny Saturday February 3, 2018]

Scripture: When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up…. Job 22:29

Thought For The Day: To be connected to God is to be an atmospheric changer.

Yesterday, we saw how Noah was exempted from being destroyed by the flood that sank his generation. Today, we are going to look at another scriptural example of a person who was exempted and distinguished in his generation.

God exempted Abraham and his family from the famine situation of his generation.

In Genesis 12:9-11, the Bible says, And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land… In Genesis 13:1, the Bible says,… And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

While the famine was sore in the land, Abraham exploded in wealth because there is always a lifting up for God’s people when the people of the world are cast down.

God also distinguished Jacob in the house of Laban. Laban had other servants who served him but Jacob was different. Laban prospered because of Jacob (Genesis 30:27); and Jacob was a man who was connected to God. So, to be connected to God is to be an atmospheric changer, a spiritual climate changer. When you are wet with Heaven’s blessing, you can wet a dry land and no dry land can dry you up; you become a mobile irrigation agent.

Today, I decree a lifting up in your life, career, ministry and destiny to the next level, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: To be connected to God is to be an atmospheric changer.

2. Always believe that God has a perfect and glorious plan for you in life.

Topic: How to Change a Life [Our Daily Bread 3 Saturday February, 2018]

Read: Proverbs 15:4; 16:24; 18:21, Bible in a Year: Exodus 31–33; Matthew 22:1–22

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24

Sometimes our lives can change in a moment through the powerful impact of others. For rock ’n’ roll legend Bruce Springsteen, it was the work of musical artists that helped him through a difficult childhood and a persistent struggle with depression. He found meaning in his own work through the truth he’d experienced firsthand, that “You can change someone’s life in three minutes with the right song.”

Like a compelling song, others’ well-chosen words can also give us hope, even change the course of our lives. I’m sure most of us could share stories of a conversation that forever impacted our lives—words from a teacher that changed the way we saw the world, words of encouragement that restored our confidence, gentle words from a friend that carried us through a difficult time.

Perhaps this is why the book of Proverbs spends so much time emphasizing our responsibility to treasure words and use them wisely. Scripture never treats speech as if it’s “just talk.” Instead, we are taught that our words can have life-or-death consequences (18:21). In just a few words we could crush someone’s spirit, or, through words of wisdom and hope, nourish and strengthen others (15:4).

Not all of us have the ability to create powerful music. But we each can seek God’s wisdom to serve others through our speech (Psalm 141:3). With just a few well-chosen words, God can use us to change a life.

Prayer: Lord, help us never to take for granted the powerful gift of language. May we use our words wisely to heal and strengthen others and point to the hope we have in You.

God has given us the power to have an impact on lives through our words.

Insight:

We can’t control the words that come our way, but we can harness the words we speak so that they bring life and encouragement, not destruction. That’s why the psalmist asked God to “set a guard over my mouth” (Psalm 141:3). His prayer is especially apt for us today when our words can travel far and wide via social media.

Jesus set the pattern for how we should use our words. He never backed down from a challenge, yet He spoke with love and grace. His twofold goal was to honor His Father in heaven and to bring about the spiritual health of His hearers. The words He spoke aligned perfectly with His life of sacrifice.

How are we doing with our speech? What do we do when our words have hurt someone? A good start is to offer a heartfelt apology. Then ask the Spirit to help us use words that promote life instead of destruction, unity instead of division. Tim Gustafson

Topic: Out of the Shadow [Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Saturday January 3, 2018]

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. – John 1:29

Jesus came to take away sin. Do you realize what that means? It means that God, through the blood of Jesus, has so completely done away with the power of sin that you, as a born-again believer, can live as if it never existed. You can step out from under its shadow once and for all.

Understand now, stepping out from under sin’s shadow doesn’t guarantee living a sinless life. You still might stumble sometimes and fall into sin. But you have a promise from God, sworn in the blood of Jesus, that says when you confess that sin, He’s faithful and just to forgive you of it and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

You don’t have to live under the shadow of that sin five seconds if you have sense enough to repent and receive God’s forgiveness.

“Oh, but Brother Copeland, I just feel so bad about it!”

It doesn’t make any difference how you feel about it. Do it by faith. Learn to be quick to repent. Then stand up and laugh in the devil’s face.

I remember one time in particular when I was in that spot. I’d missed it something awful, and I was supposed to go preach that night. I felt so guilty that I just told the Lord I wasn’t going to go. “Lord, You’ll just have to get Yourself another preacher tonight because I’m not going over there to that service.”

Suddenly the Spirit spoke up inside me. Did you confess that sin before Me, Kenneth?

“Yes, I did.”

Do you account the blood by which you’re sanctified as an unholy thing?

“Oh, dear God, no!” I answered.

That’s what you’re standing there doing, He said. I gave you My Word that when you confess your sin before Me, I would not only forgive you of it, but I’d cleanse it and cast it into a sea of forgetfulness. Now it’s not good taste for you to keep bringing it up.

I’m telling you, I dropped the matter right then and marched into that service and preached for two and a half hours on the forgiveness of God!

Don’t let feelings of guilt and unworthiness rob you of the power of Jesus’ blood. Repent and step out by faith from under the shadow of sin into the mighty light of God’s forgiveness today!

Topic: He Uses The Usable [Andrew Wommack’s Daily Saturday February 3, 2018]

John 2:24, “But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all [men].”

Text: John 2:18-25

This was the first time Jesus had ministered in Jerusalem. Multitudes believed on Him when they saw the miracles He performed (v. 23). This looked like a perfect opportunity for Jesus to take these people and use them to spread the news far and wide that He was the Christ. Instead Jesus did just the opposite. He didn’t want people proclaiming His gospel in their own ability.

This reveals an attitude of Jesus which is lacking among many Christians today. Jesus is more concerned with the quality of ministry than the quantity of ministry. In contrast, today’s Christians often feel that “the end justifies the means.”

We take new converts and place them in leadership–which is directly opposed to the Bible’s instructions (1 Tim. 3:6). Many times movie stars or other famous people who have come to the Lord are made spokesmen for the Christian faith. This works to the harm of these people and the Body of Christ as a whole.

Some of you can’t understand why the Lord hasn’t used you, but rest assured the Lord is using everyone who is usable. Instead of looking at the need and begging God to use you, take a hard look at yourself and ask the Lord to make you usable.

You were created in the image and likeness of God. You were made for God’s fellowship, and your heart can never be satisfied without His communion. Just as iron is attracted to a magnet, the soul in its state of hunger is drawn to God.

Though you, like thousands of others, may feel in the state of sin that the world is more alluring and more to your liking, some day—perhaps even now as you read these words—you will acknowledge that there is something deep down inside you which cannot be satisfied by the alloy of earth. Then with David, the Psalmist who had sampled the delicacies of sin and had found them unsatisfying, you will say, “Oh God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.”

Prayer for the day: How I long for You, God, yet so often my heart is drawn away from Your leading. Like David, I desire a clean heart.
