America’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, has reportedly performed over 320,000 abortions over the past year.
The exact number of babies aborted by Planned Parenthood, according to an annual report is 321,384, reports The Christian Institute.
Although this number is still much too high in the minds of pro-life advocates, it is lower than the previous year.
Planned Parenthood received $543.7 million in taxpayer funding between 2016 and 2017 and its revenue was $1.46 billion. Former Planned Parenthood Director Abby Johnson said this shows that the organization is not primarily a healthcare provider for women:
“Their annual report demonstrates that Planned Parenthood is not a healthcare organization but a political movement, intent on forcing their pro-abortion views on as many Americans as possible,” said Johnson.
The pro-life movement, however, continues to gain ground. President Trump has supported several pro-life measures and more young people are getting involved in the cause.
Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins had these optimistic words going forward:
“But there is a silver lining in this release, as we can see that more students are responding to the human rights interests of the preborn than to the business interests of Planned Parenthood.”

MESSAGE:

The above verse of Scripture vividly captures what spiritual separation is and the agony that accompanies it. The Lord Jesus Christ experienced it on the cross of Calvary on behalf of all mankind, when He carried the sins of the entire world upon Himself, and the Father turned His face away from Him for the first and only time. My Prayer for everyone who is spiritually separated from God is thy their eyes of understanding will be opened to see their pitiable state, and that they will realise the agony that awaits them in eternity if they do not reconcile with God.
Sin is the root cause of spiritual separation. The reason is that the Almighty God cannot look at it or interact with sin (Habakkuk 1:13). If you are living a life of sin, you are spiritually separated from Him. Genesis chapter 3 narrates to us how the first man and woman experienced spiritual separation. After they sinned, they became empty and naked. They felt so worthless that even when God tried to reach out to them, they were too ashamed to show up. A sense of guilt and self-condemnation overwhelmed their hearts. We thank God today there is remedy for spiritual separation: the Blood of Jesus (Colossians 1:19-22). However, there is an eternal spiritual separation that is coming from which there is no remedy; the Bible refers to this as the second death. Today’s memory verse tells us some of those who will partake in this terrible experience and the first of these is the fearful. Proverbs 29:25 says,
“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.”
Saul, the first king of Israel, lost his throne because of the fear of man. Just like King Saul, many leaders have lost their God-given leadership position because of the fear of men. The unbelieving are next on that list. Unbelief was the bedrock of Adam and Eve’s disobedience. Other practices such as lying, murder, adultery, incest, homosexuality, as well as witchcraft and sorcery, are the part way to eternal separation. Beloved, spiritual separation from one’s Maker brings about untold agony and frustration because without God, you can do nothing (John 15:5). If you are in the state of spiritual separation today, close the gap between you and your Maker through genuine repentance and by applying the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. Blessed are you if you do this because you will escape the agony of eternal separation from God in the Lake of fire.
Action Point: Examine your life. Whatever brings separation between you and God should be done away with. Also ask for forgiveness and cleansing in the Blood of Jesus.

Ali Campbell has been speaking to Premier about a new study from England’s Children’s Commissioner which warned secondary school pupils are ‘ill-equipped’ to cope with the stress of social media.
Anne Longfield’s report also said comments and likes are seen by some kids as a way of validating their identity.
She advised teachers to play a bigger role in preparing kids for the “avalanche of pressure” from things like Facebook and Instagram.
Ali Campbell told Premier he agrees, he said: “That transition time between primary and secondary, when young people are exploring their autonomy thinking about who they want to be, there’s a lot of challenges we need to help them navigate as they develop and grow.”
He said parents should have constant conservation with children about social media because “they’re immersed in this world and are growing up as digital natives”.
However, he urged adults to lead by example.
“If we find ourselves regularly checking emails on our phone…doing that at the dinner table when we should be having conversation with our kids, what does our own usage look like in the home when our children are around?,” he asked.
“Are we saying this is indispensable and I can’t manage without it?”

Across the country, 92 per cent of beds were taken and all non-emergency operations in England this month have been postponed in an attempt to ease pressure on hospitals.
The Prime Minister has apologised for the delays and said she recognises it’s “difficult” for those affected and hopes procedures can be rescheduled “as soon as possible”.
Steve Fouch from the Christian Medical Fellowship told Premier we shouldn’t be surprised by the increasing pressures.
Speaking during Premier’s New Hour, he said: “These first two weeks of the New Year are usually the most pressurised time for the National Health Service.
“At one level, none of this is a huge surprise – this is what we would expect every year but what we’re seeing every year is that the pressure is getting worse.”
Despite Theresa May’s apology for people’s postponed operations, she has insisted the NHS is not in crisis.
Fouch told Premier’s News Hour delaying operations won’t solve the issue.
He explained: “The reality is we are kicking all these problems further down the line.
“People who are not being seen now have got to be seen in February or in March and if they’re not, then that’s a very… serious issue.”
The latest figures also show that 5,000 more patients were left waiting outside A and E departments in England for more than half an hour last week – compared to the previous seven days.

President Trump has been given the 2017 Pro-Life Person of the Year Malachi Award by the pro-life group Operation Rescue, reports The Christian Post.
“Operation Rescue is grateful Pres. Trump for having the courage to keep promises made during the campaign that provide greater protections for the pre-born and deny Federal funds from those who commit abortions,” said the group in a press release.
“He has proven to be the most pro-life president we have had in modern history and has backed up his pro-life rhetoric with action like no other before him,” the group continued.
They then went on to list eight of Trump’s pro-life accomplishments, including appointing pro-life Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, denying public funding to abortions around the world, launching an investigation into Planned Parenthood, supporting the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, and reversing the Obama-era mandate that states fund Planned Parenthood.
“We are proud of President Trump and his bold willingness to advance the cause of life. There are more battles ahead, but under the Trump administration, we can now finally see progress within our government toward restoring the sanctity of life and the protections of personhood to the pre-born,” stated Operation Rescue president Troy Newman.

Megachurch pastor J.D. Greear of the Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, said that white Christians must offer to share the burden that believers of color face in society, in order to progress toward racial reconciliation.
“We need to make every effort to bear the burdens that many of our brothers and sisters of color are carrying. These are burdens that most of us have never had to experience,” he argued in a New Year’s Day blog post.
“And often, sadly, our brothers and sisters of color are carrying the weight of these heavy burdens by themselves. Racial reconciliation involves quite a bit more than simply sharing burdens, but it never involves less than this.”
Greear cited the Apostle Paul in Galatians 6:2 who called on Christians to “carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
“For Paul, this is simply an obvious application of the gospel. If you understand the gospel, you will enter into the burdens of others, even burdens brought on by their own sinfulness,”…

The State Department has announced it is placing the South Asian nation on a special watch list, pursuant to 2016 legislation.
The step is not thought to carry serious consequences, but it comes in the wake of stiff criticism from President Donald Trump this week.
