Usman Masih, 29, died from a heart attack but an autopsy report revealed his body was covered in bruises and welts.
The British Pakistani Christian Association (BPCA) said the state of the body of the married father of two children created “suspicion”.
Wilson Chowdhry, Chairman of the BPCA, said: “Negligence and violence has led to the death of a man believed to be totally innocent by the Christian community.
“The lesions on the victim corpses suggests foul play and a brutal ending.
“Pakistan has ratified the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, yet they persist with the most undignified and brutal incarceration of prisoners.”
Mr Masih was arrested with over 500 men after a large group of Christian’s sorrow turned to deadly rage, resulting in two Muslim men being killed in Lahore.
The Christian community of Youhanabad had been protesting the suicide bombing attack on two churches , which killed 15 people and injured 78 in Lahore as extremists continued to target Christians in the country.
BPCA said in a statement that all the arrested men were tortured and detained for over a year and a half before the majority were released without charge.
However, the arrests led to 83 men being charged of which 42 were later convicted with murder offences a few months later.

Thought For The Day: It is the Word of God that equips you to sail through what sinks others.
An armour is a metal covering or shield on a person aimed at delivering him from danger in a battle.
The Word of God is not only a shield but a preserver and a defender of life. Our anchor scripture reveals how the Word of Jesus delivered Peter from sinking. Some people think that peter walked on water, but it was the word, ‘C-O-M-E’ that Peter actually walked on, and that word kept him from sinking in the stormy sea.
Beloved, the Word of God gives you the capacity to stand where you should have been sinking. The Word of God arms you to ride on what is calculated to bury you. The Word of God empowers you to tread on what should have trashed you out of existence. It is the Word of God that equips you to sail through what sinks others.
There is someone reading this devotional right now, there are enemies around your life who pretend to be friends. They keep wondering why you are still alive because they know the evil they did against you. The same evil act had buried many of their victims, but you are still standing and flourishing. It is because you are being protected and preserved by the armour of the Word of God.
Right now, by the judgmental mantle of God on my life, I decree their expiration if they fail to repent. That which they have orchestrated for you shall befall them and their generation. Whoever will not let you and your family rest in this December shall not crossover to the New Year alive, in Jesus’ Name.
Remember This: It is the Word of God that equips you to sail through what sink others.

The business world is ripe with news of mergers and acquisitions with from Disney acquiring part of 21st Century Fox to Elon Musk putting Tesla and SpaceX under one management. But one possible merger could make headlines according to one analyst: Apple acquiring Paypal.
According to Forbes, the tech giant acquiring the world’s biggest online payment company makes sense once everything is considered. This is mainly due to Apple’s introduction of Apple Payback in October of 2014 allowing users to pay for products and services using only their iOS devices.
Strategically speaking, PayPal’s strong position in electronic payments could be a huge benefit for the company. However, a more pressing concern is the fact that Paypal also owns Venmo, a mobile payment service that allows US users to transfer money to one another using a mobile phone app or web interface.
Apple Pay Cash, the Cupertino-based company’s entry into the peer-to-peer payment market, directly competes with Venmo. While some good old competition is always welcome in the marketplace, it would be much easier for Apple to get rid of the competition by simply acquiring it.
As it stands, Apple is perfectly capable of buying Paypal although it will have to pay above PayPal’s current stock price although it would be a massive move of equity on their part. Forbes took the liberty of running the numbers and, coupled with other non-financial benefits, revealed that buying the online payment giant is a very viable option for Apple.

One of the world’s largest Bible translation organizations has said that while its pioneering rapid translation method is achieving unprecedented success, demonic attacks and severe persecution have been inflicting its workers.
Bruce Smith, president of Wycliffe Associates, told The Christian Post in a phone interview on Monday that just as the organization is seeing a major rise in the number of language groups asking for a Bible in their own language, “demonic oppression” incidents have also become commonplace.
“What we’ve seen, especially in this last year-and-a-half, is that as we move into more of Satan’s strongholds around the world, he does not go quietly. We have had many translation workshops that have had demonic manifestations and impacts, where individuals in the group are being attacked and oppressed; or the group as a whole may have an oppression; just lots of things that can only be explained as spiritual warfare,” Smith said.
“This is becoming more and more a part of the daily reality of Bible translation, as opposed to the exception,” he added.

Shifting themes: A terror attack struck a bus terminal near Times Square yesterday morning. The would-be suicide bomber was reportedly inspired by ISIS attacks on Christmas markets in Europe. Reuters is reporting that Russian-language hackers have stolen nearly $10 million from at least eighteen banks, fifteen of them in the US.
And the New England Patriots played without Rob Gronkowski when they lost to the Miami Dolphins last night. The All-Pro tight end was suspended for the game as punishment for an illegal hit on a Buffalo Bills player last week.
What do these stories have in common?
Great white sharks may be “top tier predators” in nature, but their hunting behavior is obviously amoral. Pro football players may occupy a similar rank in athletics, but the hit that injured Carson Wentz was both legal and typical for the sport. The latest California wildfires are being blamed on natural causes such as dry conditions in the region and the state’s Santa Ana winds.
However, Islamic terrorists, cyber-hackers, and football players who blindside other football players are clearly making immoral choices. What’s more, they illustrate a larger narrative I’d like to explore and relate to the grace of Christmas today.

Google has revealed the list of all the Android Wear watches that are running Android Oreo as well those eligible for the update. The announcement comes just days after the update’s official arrival and will no doubt influence many buyers’ decisions when buying an Android-powered smartwatch.
Google has been pretty mum about its smartwatch OS over the last few months. However, that ends today as the company has unveiled the list of smartwatches that will be getting the newest iteration of its Android-powered OS.
The new update introduces a slew of small improvements such as the ability to adjust vibration strength settings for notifications, new touch lock, as well as a number of battery-saving enhancements.
First off are the watches that are already running the Android Oreo OS out of the box. And as expected, these are mainly high-end devices from luxury fashion brands.
A grand total of five smartwatches are currently running the updated version of Android Wear. Aside from the LG Watch Sport, which was spotted with the Oreo last week, the Fossil Q Venture, Louis Vuitton Tambour, Michael Kors Sofie and Montblanc Summit will also receive the update.
As for eligible devices, the list is mainly made up of smartwatches from fashion brands, such as Fossil, Tommy Hilfiger, and Michael Kors.
